I run a high-end custom residential architectural firm in Washington, DC. We designed a significant ground-up home in Rehoboth Beach, DC for our clients who live in DC. We searched the area for specialty home builders and came to the conclusion Boardwalk Builders were the undisputed best around. This project was demanding and expectations were set at high bar from the beginning which made finding the right GC imperative. From pre-construction planning all the way to completing the punch list, Boardwalk was an integrated, single source builder who had the muscle and local trade relationships to keep the project humming...even in the middle of Covid! Their financial forecasting, project management tools and excellent communication skills were stellar especially when the architect and owner are 2+ hours away. The craftsmanship and skill brought to each of the trades and specialty subcontractors including smart house, AV, millwork, HVAC, pool, spa, floating stairs and custom railing were extraordinary. Finally, the personalities of the people at Boardwalk are awesome and made our work satisfying and easy. We were all sort of sad when the project ended! We hope to do many more project in this area and don't need to look any further for general contractors other than Boardwalk Builders. We recommend them highly and without reservation.

Everyone at Boardwalk Builders was friendly, efficient & extremely responsive. They LISTENED as I described my vision for my new kitchen & provided expert guidance as we drew up plans. They "held my hand" professionally throughout the selection of materials & performed installation with precision & care. What a pleasure it was to work with each & every staff member I encountered!

They promised to deliver a quote in two weeks. I waited those two weeks only to find they were not interested. Why didn't they decline sooner? During their visit,they clearly stated they would provide a quote.
They should have reached out to me when they made their decision. I called them.
Seems like a part time operation.

We have recently had a kitchen and 2 bathrooms remodeled by Boardwalk Builders. They have been terrific from start to finish. Jacqueline made the design process easy and really fun. Ed and his team were really respectful of our home, very neat and tidy and did meticulous work. The completion date was thrown off a tad by some weather delays, but no complaints here. The rooms are gorgeous.

I can't say enough positive words about Boardwalk Builders or the people I have worked with from this company. I have had them take care of major projects as well as small repair projects and no matter the project I have always received their excellent attention to detail and knowledge that I have come to rely on. We are extremely pleased with Boardwalk Builders and continue to use them for our renovation projects. Patty sets the bar high beginning with her staff. The Boardwalk team and the subs she employs are respectful of our property and sensitive to the fact that we are living in our home during renovations. We have contracted with Boardwalk Builders on both large and small jobs... same quality. We especially appreciate their creativity and follow through. The on site project manager oversees the job and communicates back to us almost daily during the construction. Boardwalk also ensures the job is done right! The quality of their work is excellent and our projects have remained on budget unless we have submitted a change order. We look forward to working together in the future.

Had a bizarre experience with a rep from this company. I contacted them asking for a quote on a deck remodel project. I had a quote from another company for $110K and thought a second quote was needed. A woman came out and we chatted about the project. Right from the start she said she thought they would be too expensive for me. She gave me the impression that she really wasn't interested in my job. However, she said she would give me a ballpark number before spending a lot of time on it. I did not tell her the other quote I had was $110K. She came back with a number that was in line with my first quote but was not covering exactly what I had asked for. I asked her to add in the additional bit I had originally asked for so that I could really compare my 2 quotes. She came back to me with a number that was more than double her first number. I told her I didn't understand how it could be that much more for a small area of flooring. Her comment was "well we don't have to work together...we can part as friends." Huh??? If this is the kind of unprofessional people they hire, I am not interested in their services at all. It was a total waste of my time.
