Service is adequate, but not super fast. Typical of both "island time" and every other bmw shops I have used. They wash and vacuum my X5 everytime I bring it in. The sales team was good without being pushy. It was the first time I ever bought a car without signing anything before leaving with the car. I bought a used 330e this time. They even dropped the car off at my house for me. They have gained a customer as long as I am on the island.

Hawaii BMW was a true pleasure. Jason was so helpful and patient with us, especially after buying our X5. He went through every detail of how to use the hybrid system and all the bells and whistles. We so appreciate BMW of Hawaii and the finance manager was also extremely helpful. I would highly recommend Hawaii BMW to anyone who is searching for a great car.

Never by a used car from this company. Especially if it is not a BMW. I bought a used Tesla from this dealership about one year ago. During the sale I was told that I was eligible for free carwashes for life and free charging at the dealership as all vehicles sold from the dealership are entitled to. I make my car payment to BMW every month since the BMW dealership sold me my car. I have now been informed that "only BMWs" can charge at their dealership regardless of me purchasing my vehicle from them. My husband has been told that they will only give free car washes to BMW cars. This is horrible business. I was lied to and they made money off of my Tesla purchase and promised these features. They have horrible customer service if you buy anything other than BMW. They made money off of me and a commission. I pay the company every month. Do not buy a used vehicle from this dealership! They will not follow up on their promises.

The team at BMW of Hawaii has taken care of us since the very first day I walked in with an ailing Audi. They worked with us to trade it in and helped us get into what has become our favorite vehicle to date—our 2020 BMW X3 M40i. It’s sporty, fast, and incredibly comfortable.

When our lease ended, we had no hesitation in working with BMW to finance the balance and keep the car we love. To this day, the service team continues to take excellent care of us.

We walked in unannounced after spotting a beautiful BMW as we drove by. We were greeted and assisted by Jon Dahl. Without hesitation Jon gave us the keys to several cars and told us to “enjoy” them. Throughout the sales experience Jon was readily available to answer questions, discuss purchase options and help us determine which car would best suit our needs. We never felt pressured. I purchased a CPO vehicle during the tail-end of the COVID-19 pandemic. As a young buyer, sometimes it's hard to be taken seriously by working professionals, especially if they are much older. Their sales team treated me respectfully, and none of the vehicles had blatant markups and needless addon accessories "required" for purchase. That said, pricing was not very competitive with other mainland dealerships, and in some instances, it was less expensive to have a car shipped than to buy here locally. And some corporate incentives went unnoticed by their staff, and I had to point them out. Overall, though, I was satisfied with the experience, especially compared to other dealerships on the island.

Service has been a mixed bag and the reason for three stars instead of four or five. The service staff are VERY friendly, accommodating, and knowledgeable (senior staff)--generally speaking, everyone is extremely friendly and very personable across the board. However, I initially had issues getting the Value Service (discounted service items for qualified vehicles) and the quality of repair work. Regarding the former, I got emails and notifications from BMW that my car qualified for Value Service. Still, it took three service advisors to confirm this, with the first two denying I qualified, despite confirmation from BMW that I qualified--this was frustrating because the savings are significant. Regarding service, I have had my vehicle in for various warranty repairs and general services. Still, three times, the car was given back improperly repaired or serviced: 1) the steering wheel clock spring was replaced (stalks), but the housing around the back of the steering wheel was unattached (moving around and loose); 2) the wiper stalk was blocked and would not go all the way down, it was found that the repair from the clock spring replacement had an improperly installed wire that blocked the stalk; 3) cabin air filter replaced, but the housing got damaged (unreported) and no longer seals correctly. There are a few other persistent issues, but the above makes my point. To their credit, they promptly addressed these issues, and service was fast. I am sympathetic because the service staff are slammed with work, and the dealership is always busy. Overall, the service staff are great, but repair quality control needs some attention.

This dealer is absolutely amazing and offers world class customer service! Our son recently bought a used vehicle, of another make from this dealer and unfortunately experienced major engine issues with the vehicle soon after the purchase. This dealership went out of its way to resolve the issue and treated our son as if he had bought a brand new BMW. If I lived on Hawaii myself, I would buy all my future new cars here. Truly five star outstanding customer service!

What a pleasure to shop for a car here. David took us directly to the car we were interested in and suggested we take it for a test drive. No muss, no fuss, just hop in and go. Thomas was extremely knowledgeable about the car and how to program it. Even the paperwork wasn’t too bad, with not too hard of a push for the add-ons. The touchscreen signing mat was way cool. All in all, it was an easy, non-stressful buying experience. We highly recommend BMW of Hawaii, Big Island!

My deal was taken off the table less than 24 hours during finance negotiations without any regard of the established agreement. I worked with Anthony Fagundes, who promised one thing then was trumped by his boss apparently. Very disappointing to say the least and would not recommend BMW to anyone in the future. If you do, I guess get it in writing…

This dealership is nothing short of amazing. I actually bought a used KIA here, but I’ve been treated like I brought a brand new BMW from them. Thomas was my salesman a few months back and he was extremely responsive and I could tell he really had my best interest in mind. As a 22 year old college grad who just moved out here and isn’t necessarily rolling in cash, I really appreciated that. My KIA did end up having a couple problems, which being an 8 year old car can be expected. That being said, Blythe from the service department went so far above & beyond to take care of me. He truly did everything he could to make sure my car was fixed in an affordable, quality manner. This level of service has made it clear that I will definitely be buying my next car from them. This is a dealership you can trust.

This is the third used vehicle I’ve purchased from Kona BMW, and it continues to be a trustworthy, honest place to make a purchase. Going car shopping as a single, senior- age female can be an intimidating experience, but Jason and the other sales people were courteous and not at all pushy or assertive. They continually shared an honest approach, and were conscious of not pushing a person to buy out of their price range.

I'm really getting tired of their service. I took my 228i in last year for a cracked windshield even though their price was significantly higher, because I believed they would do it right. After getting multiple windshields with flaws over a couple of months they eventually talked me into taking it. Still has flaws. I made an appointment for an oil change and they told me I'd have to wait 2 1/2 hours and then tried to up sale me on other service. Very disappointed.

I had an appt for oil change on monday 8/12 @ 8:15 am for my X1, drove there was early and was told technicians had called in sick. Was told i could leave car but it would be all day? Only to reschedule for wednesday. Chk in wed did the work watched the video, saw where tech pointed out front brakes at 3mm, left bmw and drove to waimea and the brake pad sensor light came on? Im not sure but a 566.00 oil change/inspection are seriously not worth it! My wife was told she should get another extension on her oil changes for a couple of hundred dollars more? I am seriously regreting buying this vehicle...nothing but a money pit. Paid more than 25k used and when trying to come back and do a trade in was told the blue book was 8k whike still owing 18k on it....i guess they dont hold their value...seriously unhappy customers!!!!

Overall, I was happy with the service I received from John and Thomas And Shawn. The only challenge I had was reaching someone by phone when I had a question.
But the car was delivered to my home and John spent a half an hour going over How things operate on The vehicle.
I do feel their attention to detail is quite valuable.

Today they took care of two recall items. They did a full safety check with a video showing what is exactly happening with leaks, tire wear and other conditions. Plus a written estimate of the total costs involved. The worn left tire is my main concern that needs replacement. The others I will wait on.

I have two recall repair items on my BMW. So I went by and they are scheduling the repairs next week. All's good here!

They are BMW. What can I say. They did a free safety inspection for me. My car failed, but I was at least able to pay my registration and get a sticker for my car. Now, I need to get my car repaired. At looking forward to this one!

Since I purchased a battery from a parts store, BMW was on me that it was a mistake. I needed to get my battery programmed to the car. Also, that is way my dash lights were showing up. When I get it programmed, it lights will go away. I showed the service manager a photo of my dash service needed lights. He said you need to do have the battery connected to the car. I brought it in and my 2010 X3 doesn't need the battery programmed to the car. It was going to cost around $150. Plus if I had it done, no service lights would have gone off. Otherwise, all is good.

I purchased a new battery from AutoZone, but it wasn't purchased and installed by BMW. Therefore, now I need to have BMW program the battery to the BMW computer. The annual inspection will be complimentary. I saved some money, but was it worth it?

BMW definitely does it for me! Great service and how business should treat their customers. They are there for you. BMW did two major warrenty jobs on my 2010 X3 3.0i car. One of the warranty items done two years ago ended up needing to be repaired again. Not even asking, Blythe, in service agent, said we're do the repair again without even knowing this was their policy! Great going and with a loner car, too! They followed up with appointments, customer satisfaction and even having videos of what's happening to your car, what's needed or not, what is happening with the repair job and such. It makes you feel they are transparent about who they are and how they care about your car care. I was told they go through the details of any warranty policy so you know exactly what your signing for, not like some other car dealerships. You get what you paid for. So, BMW is that car dealership you can count on!

Very disappointed in my daughter's treatment there and the lack of a callback on my issues after pleading my case and being promised a prompt response. A 60% battery does not urgently need replacement but she was only told it was "bad" and thereby gave the OK to replace. The "failed" original battery was replaced by you two years ago at OEM prices $$$$$ but carries ONLY a 24 month warranty. She's one month over that in a very low mileage car purchased new there and you have no mercy as to some warranty help for TWO OEM batteries that failed in less than 5 years. Very disappointed as we've been faithful customers.

I went to BMW of Hawaii to get my Mini serviced. I was able to get an appointment the next day at the time I wanted. David Loutzenhuser was my service advisor. He looked up my vehicle and determined exactly what it needed based on my mileage. He was very efficient and helpful. Relatively major service was much less than I expected and it was ready right on time. Great experience!

Absolutely first class service. 2 phone calls. 2 emails. 3 texts to remind us of our appointment. They greet you by name, and give you a free ride home and pick you back up when the service is finished. And detail wash the car when they are done.

We recently sold our condo in Hawaii. With 8 months remaining on our car lease we terminated the lease early rather than ship car to mainland. The process on lease termination was hassle free. Our sales rep Jason was very helpful in managing the process.

Jason then ordered a replacement vehicle for delivery and pickup in Austin TX. He was professional, responsive when called and very helpful managing the special order and the logistics of delivery to another dealer.

We couldn’t be more pleased overall.

We will miss the fine folks at BMW of Hawaii who served us well since 2008!
