**Review for Blue Built Roofs (Sly Roofing Pups) – Siding Installation**

I didn’t want to write this review but after months of not getting what I paid for I had to warn others.

Again I don’t enjoy leaving a negative review, but my experience with Blue Built Roofs (formally Roofing Pups) has been extremely disappointing — especially considering the amount of money I invested expecting a high-quality siding job.

From the beginning, things felt off. Two sales reps showed up at my home and double-teamed the sales pitch, which left me feeling overwhelmed and pressured. Still, I decided to move forward, trusting that I’d receive quality work and professional service. Unfortunately, that trust was misplaced.

While the siding job was completed quickly, the quality and finishing touches are poor. Didn’t see the project manager till the end and his lack of knowledge was astounding, honestly he should have came out to inspect the job before it was completed, major red flag. And to be honest the finished product looks like they cut corners by using scrap boards rather than solid, uniform siding. There are visible nail holes that were poorly patched and painted over, and the finish looks like a rushed DIY job.

Worse, the crew damaged parts of my property — crushing plants around my home, damaged interior drywall and leaving my doorbell wiring exposed, overnight which caused the bell to ring randomly, repeatedly, and overheat to the point I had to cut power to it. I’ve reached out to the project manager several times to have these issues addressed, but it’s been a frustrating process
of chasing down fixes that should’ve been handled correctly the first time. Not to mention he tried to charge me an additional 800 dollars to fix damage to the home, damage he showed via text not in person cause why would a project manager do his job right, the photos belonged to another home! I called him out cause the architecture was wrong. What if I didn’t ? Shady business practices another Red flag.

What bothers me most is that I paid promptly and expected a complete and professional job in return. Instead, I’m left with subpar workmanship, lingering issues, and the feeling that they prioritized speed over quality. They didn’t even leave a yard sign once the job was done final Red flag — which to me signals they weren’t proud of the work and didn’t want their name associated with it.

After inspecting everything more closely, I no longer feel I got my money’s worth, and I absolutely would not recommend this company. If you value quality craftsmanship, attention to detail, and true customer service, I suggest looking elsewhere.

Ps the say they provide lifetime warranty but provided no physical evidence to hand over of over to a future buyer, they sent an email estimate they says warranty their word which as you can see isn’t even worth the paper to print it.

Salesmen are slick as oil, but they just hire run of the mill contractors. There's no real benefit in paying the extra money they charge. I regret doing business with them.

In response to the comment from the owner - we definitely did business under a former name of your company. The fact that you all change business names as regularly as you do absolutely should have been a red flag for me. I hate I missed it.

Great roofing company. Robert is a great! He isn’t pushy or fake but he knows how to overcome any obstacle in unique ways - and he’s honest! It’s refreshing!

I had a great experience with BlueBuilt and with the office assistant Liz. I called to get help with my uncle's roof and she had someone out that morning. They got his roof replaced by the end of the week and it couldn't have been a more streamlined experience. Highly recommend

Fast response initially, then ghosted. They provided great initial contact response and did a next-day estimate. The employee who came out was friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, I was totally ghosted after the on-site visit and never received my estimate, even after multiple phone follow ups. A major pain because I had to look elsewhere to find someone who would actually perform the work.

Roofing Pups replaced all of the old cedar siding on our house with Hardie plank cement board siding. They also took it an old window and replaced it with a new one, and filled in a separate old window. We're very happy with the quality of the work and installation, and were able to get the work done at a reasonable price. The job took longer than originally promised, as we were told 4 days, and it ended up being about 7 working days, despite rain delays. In the end, though, we're still happy with the quality and cost of the work, and can look past the timetable because the end result is very solid. Thanks for the work!

Called me for two days left a message today scheduled a consultation for 12-12:30 no call no show…I’ll pass…maybe they do good work if they show up? Wanted to schedule again for tomorrow….didn’t tell me they wern’t showing up until 4pm. I have several other companies doing bids this week so I hope those companies can make it

This roofing company is really great! They responded very fast and came to inspect my roof the next day. Kelvin and Adalberto were extremely nice and profoundly knowledgeable about the roof replacement process. They explained to me about the materials and instalation steps in great detail and with patience. Every question that I had was answered. They demonstrated the samples of the materials and had a catalog from which to choose the shingles color. This really helped me with understanding how the roofing job is done. Kelvin and Adalberto did not rush but took the time to be thorough with sharing the right information, which is super helpful for the homeowners to know.
Tyler, the manager, was also very professional! He treats clients with the utmost respect, care, and fairness. He addressed my questions effectively and with honesty and understanding.
Overall, I'm very impressed with this company's customer care and communication! They work very hard to make sure that they provide the best service possible. They are an amazing team of great people!

Well, the work was done on time.My sales consultant Robert could have done a better job following up with me before the roofing and after it was completed. I wanted a post inspection to make sure the job was done correctly. There was no calls to follow up and poor Communication with me.still waiting on a post inspection.

With that said, below is my original review.

Roofing Pups has horrible customer service and their front office does not know what is going on with their subcontractors. Their communication is terrible and you have to actively follow up with them for anything. The one positive thing i will say was that the work was eventually completed, but it certainly wasn't without a lot of stress and lost sleep on my end, and it wasn't nearly on time. I was deeply disappointed with my experience.

When they were finished my how was beautiful. The young man at Roofing Pups was awesome always helping me when I needed him.

Roofing Pups is a young company and still has growing pains like all new companies do. However despite the difficulties, there are 2 men, Robert and Tyler, in the company who championed me. Everytime I had a complaint, it was addressed. It took a lot longer than expected, but the job is finally done to my satisfaction. They want to do good work for you.

We hired Roofing Pups to replace our old shingle roof after developing some leaks over the past few years. They offered a few options at different price points for us to choose from. The entire project was completed in one day and our property was left clean. There was one small spot of damage to the siding when the old shingles were pulled up that I assumed would be filled with putty and painted since it was only a few inches wide. Instead of just patching and painting the spot they removed and replaced two complete pieces of siding and matched the color to make it like new. We are happy with our new roof and the service provided by Roofing Pups.

Tyler and Allen did fantastic work replacing our shingles and gutters. They also resolved an issue I had with my gutters keeping up with heavy rainfall. Tyler and Alan did a great job communicating and are highly responsive. I highly recommend them.

Had the folks from Roofing Pups come out and give me an estimate for re-siding a home. First, they told me they were preferred vendors from James Hardie. If you check the James Hardie website you will see that they are NOT preferred vendors. I spoke to the sales rep and then his manager and we agreed to terms on a deal. A week went by and I didn’t hear anything from them. I reached out to them as a follow up and was told that they had made a mistake and would not be able to honor the deal that we made… Even though we had a signed contract. Pretty sure if I signed a contract with them but then decided to back out a week later they wouldn’t have just said ok and forgotten the whole thing.

Highly recommend this company! Installed siding windows paint, they are very responsive to any questions prices reasonable and do excellent work!!

They were able to get us scheduled and taken care of very quickly, finished the whole job in maybe 6 hours, and cleaned up completely. The roof looks great.

I worked with Josh from Transformation roofing to get our roof replaced. He did a great job and was able to work around my schedule. He provided me with three different quotes and explained the difference. Any other questions or considerations he quickly followed up. His crew was able to come out in one day and replace the roof. They did a great job and made sure to clean up any debris before the day was over. As a bonus, Josh cleared our driveway of leaves and pine straw while taking the initial quote. It's clear they care about their customer's satisfaction.

I've taken notice to several people in my neighborhood who have used Transformation to repair/replace their damage weather beaten roofs. I had the pleasure of working with James Powers who patiently guided me through the process of dealing with tough insurance companies and making sure we do not settle, which led us to success and a fully replaced roof.

All in All, the entire installation process was seamless, professional and efficient. Kudos to James and his staff members and workers who made sure that I was satisfied and pleased with the service as well as the finished look, I would highly suggest this company as customer service is top notch.

I had a great experience with Transformation Roofing. I had a small leak that appeared in the bedroom on the ceiling staining it brown. I saw a review that Transformation was happy to take any job no matter how small. I received a call back the same day from Jesse and he was very professional. Jesse came out and did a thorough inspection at no charge to me. The estimate was reasonable and they had a guy out a couple of days later to fix the issue with the roof. No more leak! They also sent me a thank you card in the mail which was a nice touch. I will def. call Transformation for any future roofing needs.

Upon the excellent recommendation from our neighbor, we contacted James Powers/Transformation Roofing. It was easy to see why he had been highly reccomended. He returned our call very quickly and set up the apt to check our roof in order to provide us with an estimate. He was on time, courteous, and gave a thorough explanation of what would be done prior to being able to provide us with an estimate. After inspecting the roof he provided a brief explanation of the damage he saw ( we have a very old roof) and even indicated there might be some damage covered by our Homeowner Insurance. He was also the only roofer who asked to inspect our attic so he could see if the wood under the roof was in good shape , which he confirmed it was. He indicated it would be a few days to prepare the estimate and he called two days later to set an apt to go over the estimate. Again on time! Mr Powers was the only roofer to bring samples of the materials that would be used for the project. He explained in detail the different steps of replacing a roof, the costs, and the guarantees on both product and labor. Our neighbors have been extremely satisfied with their new roof. We expect to be ready to start our project in about a month and Transformation Roofing confirmed the estimate would still be valid at that time while another company indicated their estimate was valid for five days! I would highly recommend if you need a new roof that you contact James Powers of Transformation Roofing for a competitive quote.

James of Transformation Roofing, came out for a roof repair related matter ( on a Sunday) that I’ve experienced for several months. The general contractor on my build had come out 4-5 times for the matter and claimed that he caulked, however my roof continued to leak inside the garage. He never identified the source of the leak.

Conversely, James took a more comprehensive approach and evaluated every potential source of the leak, rather than simply looking to the roof. Not only did he identify the potential source of the leak, he also inspected several other areas around the home, including several of the exterior windows. He provided professional advice and A solution for where water was entering through a window seal. I did not expect this level professional service , because generally, a company will focus on what they were called for. In addition, he pointed several areas in which there were mode install related matters that I should look into. I’m so appreciative of his quality inspection. Moreover, he didn’t and wouldn’t charge me for the service call… although inspections are free, the additional advice was invaluable. Thank you, James! I would definitely call them again.

I seen this company on television and decided to call for a full roof replacement. I am very happy with the service I received. Jesse was my roof specialist who made sure I was informed about each step his staff was taking and the timeliness for the process. His staff was very efficient and pleasant.
