We’ve worked with Blue Line Home Construction on and off for a while now through different client projects. Even though we haven’t used them directly for our own homes, we’ve seen the results of their kitchen and bathroom remodels firsthand and always hear good things from the people we refer. The jobs they complete are clean, well-managed, and finished on time, which honestly isn’t something you get from every contractor. The team is approachable, easy to coordinate with, and seems to really know what they’re doing. If you’re planning a remodel and want someone who actually picks up the phone and follows through, Blue Line is a solid pick.

I had a bathroom floor done and I had a leaky toilet and they fixed all the flooring and they fixed my bidet and they got it sealed up really good and it looks great and they matched the flooring pretty close to what I had before as well

Marvin and his team arrived to my home to scan my bathroom for a project and they were very knowledgeable and helpful. They provided me several ideas for how the project could go. I wanted to expand my shower, remove a tub, and change the entrance to my toilet. The picture I included was one of several images that Marvin and his team sent me to help me visualize what they could do to upgrade my bathroom. Really cool technology! I’ll definitely be going with Marvin’s team for future projects.

We had a total kitchen and bath remodel. They worked within our budget, had innovative ideas, provided helpful guidance in selections, and took care of typical glitches along the way. Even after the fact, they stood by their work when we needed them. The workers were always polite and friendly. The kitchen and bathroom are beautiful!

I had a great experience with Blue Line Home Construction! I was looking for a local general contractor for my bathroom remodel in puyallup and these guys popped up on google guaranteed. I was greeted by Kim and scheduled promptly over the phone. They were able to design my bathroom based on my needs and answered all my questions with ease. My bathroom was pretty straightforward and they were able to give me a competitive price and got it done in a timely manner. I can’t stress this enough, I highly recommend blue line for your kitchen and bathroom needs, they got that dialed in.

I had the pleasure of working with Marvin, he had taken over from a previos project manager thats no longer with the company. I got a design for my kitchen pretty quickly. I live near federal way so i was happy to work with a local contractor. There were a few hiccups during the transition but the team worked through them effectively. After the design i picked out my finishes AND within a few weeks we got started. The Road was long but i appreciate the finished product. Even with the issues i highly reccomend blueline. Also special thanks to Alex, a voy to work with.

Marvin and his Blue Line crew recently remodeled a bathroom for me and they were superb! The bathroom was originally just a sink and toilet from 1967, but now it has a beautifully tiled shower, new basin, and even a smart toilet! The price was very fair and I’ve already been in touch with Marvin about other jobs at my house. I highly recommend Blue Line!!

Our home reno journey... we interviewed approximately 10 different contractors/home remodeling companies before we decided to go with Blue Line. I had heard from many friends that remodeling can be a nightmare and wanted to avoid this. We did not choose the company with the lowest bid nor the company with the highest bid…we looked at all the bids and chose middle of the road and how we connected with the company.
We live in a 1969 home that had been previously remodeled. As we discovered like many older homes, ours came with some issues. We had a huge foundation issue that required a structural engineer to inspect our home because our house was pulling in one direction and coming up in the center of the house. Like I said we knew there were issues. I am thankful to our project manager who had suggested the structural engineer because we had no idea how bad things were. Our home required 16 pilings drilled down 16ft each to fix the issues. We knew there were some structure issues before we signed with Blue Line, but this was a huge undertaking. This process was stress free because of Blue Line and their team.

Our project manager held our hand and was there to walk me through the picking of counters, cabinets, the plans for our home, ect. Everything was going fine, until it wasn’t. The were serious delays, mistakes, and excuses from the project manager. I was frustrated and I finally reached out to the office manager, I wish I had done this sooner. Upon voicing my concerns, the owner stepped in and came to my home the next day for a meeting with us and his team. The owner listened to every frustrating concern and issues we were having. The owner took over our home remodel from that point and the project manager was let go. I’m not here to bad mouth anyone and will not, but I will say once the owner was made aware of the issues, he stood by his word to make everything right with us. What started to be a negative experience was now turning into the positive remodeling experience we wanted.

Honestly, is every remodeling project going to have some bumps and scrapes along the way…most likely. It’s not about the bumps along the way, but it’s more about the integrity of the company/people that are working on your project. The owner stood up and took responsibility for the issues with the project management and stood by his word to fix it. Now I have this amazing kitchen, living room, laundry room, ect. We are even doing 3 of our bathrooms with them! I would absolutely recommend this company and their team.

Came by to take a look at my leaking roof and proceeded to go the extra mile to inspect all potential damage, entered crawl space, and talked me through processes for roof repair.
Felt very trustworthy and competent would go with blue line in a second

11/22 Update based on owner response to this review:

I'd be happy to share the text message screenshots between the owner and my wife on the water damage issue. He didn't want to take the precaution and pull the drywall and insulation back -- which we ended up insisting on and ultimately found water damage.

I would also be happy to share the photo of the live high voltage electrical wire (that was quickly disabled) that shocked me. Please do not make excuses for your company, as none of the things you have listed below are true. This was not without additional cost, as my wife and I spent countless hours trying to manage this project through its issues without owner communication or effort. Finally, we were charged a $10K project manager fee... for a project manager that we never received based on the contractual language / description of the services. Without additional cost? Please...

Folks, this is a clear example of what I'm talking about...

!! CONSUMER BEWARE !! My wife and I hired Blue Line Home Construction to do a home addition on our existing house in Puyallup. Honestly, I don't even know where to begin with the issues that we had with this company. I won't try to bore you with paragraphs and paragraphs of detail, so here are the highlights:

* The project manager (Donovan) was so dishonest and incapable of his role as a project manager that the owner (Marvin) ended up terminating him from the company right in the middle of our project... leaving us with NO project manager and we were charged a $10K project manager fee regardless

* They FORGOT to add insulation, gutters, and the required landscaping (grading) for our project to the estimate.

* During the design / engineering process, Blue Line's team inserted changes in the proposal that was to be sent to the county for permitting and did not tell us about them. If it wasn't for my father-in-law catching the discrepancies, we would've never known. (ex: changed our roof from asphalt shingle to metal without notice).

* Since Blue Line delayed siding installation after roof install, didn't haul away a 6ft tall mud pile right next to the addition, and didn't follow the proper grading procedures for the landscape, we had SERIOUS water damage during construction (see photos attached)

* The owner (Marvin) saw the photos of the water pooling up on the floor and did not initially want to pull back the drywall or insulation to check for water damage. His said "it should be fine". I had to cease progress on the entire project in order for the owner to take my concern seriously.

* When the owner came out to finally come clean up the garbage / dirt / excessive foliage out of our yard, he damaged the slab our outdoor A/C unit was sitting on. Their crew is extremely careless.

* With all of these issues, you can imagine how upsetting it was for my wife and I. Unfortunately, Marvin (owner) stopped returning our phone calls and text messages because we were "too mean" and "had to take a mental break from our project". After the water damage fiasco, we did not hear from him again. We had to try and manage communication through an alternative measure.

We never received project updates, and my wife and I were continuously trying to keep the project going. The owner didn't know what type of insulation to put in our roof, nor what window was per code... How does a general contractor not know this? Finally, no one ever showed up for a county inspection either. My wife and I had to figure our way through them.

Anyways, if you've read this far... I apologize for the long read. I wasn't really planning on writing this review, but we hope we can save other people from hiring this company and dealing with the constant headaches and stress. Please, please do your research and know your consumer rights before you hire ANY general contractor. Otherwise you end up with a deceitful company like Blue Line Home Construction.

Marvin and his team did an incredible tiling job on my daughter’s new shower. In addition, we’ve had multiple vendors out to install other items and 2 of them told me that my tiler was incredible and that everything was within 1/16”. We’ll be using them again.

Blue Line Home Construction is a reliable, honest, & straightforward Home, Bathroom, & Kitchen Remodeling Business. I had Donovan as my project manager who was very well organized, experienced, & always kept me well informed. I'm very pleased I went with them instead of the cheapest contractor, because the quality of work that I got out of them exceeded my expectations!

They gave me an updated schedule that I had constant access to through my phone, provided me with a 3D design of my kitchen, & also made sure I was completely satisfied before moving forward with the project.

Donovan did quality control checks every step of the way and made me feel comfortable with the direction my project was going!

All in all, 11/10. You will not regret choosing them!!☺️

Blue Line Home Construction Services helped us with a challenging dryer vent hose repair. Backstory: previous owners of our home installed a long dryer vent hose through a very shallow crawlspace, exiting out an exterior vent opening. After a failed attempt to clear years of lint build up from our dryer hose, we fortunately connected with the owner, Marvin. He checked out our situation on short notice and, like a skilled detective, identified the likely problem and best approach to repair the dryer vent. Marvin's team completed this project promptly and successfully. Now we can use our dryer and feel secure about dealing with maintenance upkeep in the future.

House flooded and they came in remodeled my whole house were responsive and timely. They were very professional and I would highly recommend them.

They did my upstairs bathroom and it looks amazing! I live on the edge of Federal Way and Tacoma and I saw they were in Federal Way so they were close by. They changed the tub, walls of the shower, vanity, floor, baseboards, lighting and even did the plumbing for the new sink and tub. To top it all off they painted interior ceiling and walls. Now many people say my bathroom is the best looking room in the house...because it is! Highly recommend

Working with Blue Line Construction was by far the easiest project I've ever had to do. I've worked with my fair share of construction companies over the years and Blue Line was hands down the easiest to work with.

They were quick, responsive, flexible, and very personable. They actually cared about my project and didn't treat me like I was a chore, which is more than I can say about other companies I've worked with for similar projects.

The custom cabinets they installed next to my fireplace are perfect. They are exactly what we needed and they look like they have always been there. Their attention to detail was extremely appreciated. The work is seamless down to the caulking and paint finish.

I would definitely recommend them to anyone who wants a stress free project done right.
