I recently hired Black and White for a painting project (living room, kitchen, three rooms, and three bathrooms), and I’m very impressed with the results. The team, led by Louis and Sebastian, did an outstanding job. They took great care in protecting the floors and treated my home with respect—as if it were their own.

They paid close attention to the details, including trims and touch-ups. If there were any drips or imperfections, they were quick to correct them. One thing I really appreciated was their openness to feedback. They encouraged me to review their work, and if there was anything I wasn't satisfied with, they were more than happy to make adjustments.

I also had Balck and White handle silicone caulking for the bathtub, which was done with excellent craftsmanship.

What truly stood out was their commitment after the bathtub job was finished. Even after I had paid in full, I noticed a few minor imperfections and mentioned them to Gerson. Without hesitation, he arranged for the team to return and address the issues. This level of accountability and sincerity is rare and commendable.

Gerson is also very flexible—whether you want to supply your own paint or have them handle it, they’re happy to accommodate your preferences.

Overall, I highly recommend Black and White for their professionalism, attention to detail, and exceptional customer service.

Great total demolition and remodel of my master bathroom. I really liked the fact that you can visit their showroom in Laytonsville to design and choose the tiles, vanity, sink, faucet and everything needed for your bathroom. Reasonable pricing with very good quality items for your remodel. Osman and Edwardo were excellent craftsman. Try to get a dedicated crew for your project so you have the same workman and communication is key. Also negotiate a timeframe to make sure your project goes smoothly.

Black & White K&B recently gutted our 1950s bathroom and created a beautiful peaceful bathroom oasis. The team was very meticulous and detail oriented through the whole project. They removed walls, reworked the plumbing and electrical, and changed the way the door opened into the room. They incorporated my wonderful cast-iron tub, adding a marble surround for it. They put marble tile on the walls and floor, along with a cozy heated floor-- love it! The team was always easy to work with, creative, and problem-solving. Did I mention reasonably-priced??! We're looking forward to working with them again in the fall to redo our kitchen area. We highly recommend Black & White Kitchen and Bath!

My husband and I are working on remodeling our condo ourselves but needed help with a small part in our bathroom that we didn't have the tools for. Junior and his team were happy to help out, even for the small job of moving a pipe drain over and installing a shower pan. Junior was my estimator and he was friendly from beginning and flexible to meet our budget needs, Gerson was able to coordinate every step of the way and always kept me up to date when the guys would arrive and the plan for the day.
They also were very accommodating when it came to payment plans they split up my payments fairly to where I felt comfortable enough work was done to give out the next check.

"Our basement was recently done by Black & White Kitchen (new design, new development, new bar, new office, new Mud room, new cabinets, recess lights and fresh paint throughout). I met with Junior at the office, and we sat down and went through the design patiently. I needed my basement to be and look a certain way and I was able to have an agreement with the team regarding the cost as well as the grade level of materials that I needed for the project. We chose the materials carefully, while I looked at other pictures and videos that they have done prior.

Junior was friendly and family oriented and worked on my plan to fit my budget even though I had wanted to have more upgrades than expected. Our project manager, Rodrigo Tizoni was great throughout the project, and we appreciated how readily he was available whenever we needed him to answer questions or to explain some parts of the project, including status updates as well.

He would come back to the house at the end of the day to review the work of the team and to address any questions or changes to the project.

Another outstanding worker was the main carpenter, Marvin Izara. He is outstanding in every capacity. He would not settle for less in all that he did. He would ensure the measurements are correct, end points are measured correctly and fit well, walls are straight and will remove any extra space that does not make the finished product look good. The crew that came in for framing, dry wall, plumbing, ventilation, and painting were hard-working and respectful.

Our basement looks great, and we have had friends asking about the contractors who worked in my basement. It's great having all the extra space, and everyone thinks it looks amazing.

I hired B&W to conduct a bathroom remodel. The process was straightforward, which first started with a consultation and then an appointment at their showroom. Choosing everything was simple, and a scope of work document was distributed as the next step. This detailed the entire project. B&W works with your living situation to cause the least amount of disruption as possible.

The project did have a few understandable setbacks, such as materials that were delivered broken. However, that is a sign of a good company that clearly communicates challenges, and does not forge ahead with substandard installation. To that end, B&W was communicative throughout the process, providing regular updates. I have to say, too, that I had family coming to stay after the project was originally scheduled to be completed. While close to completion, the setbacks bumped into this visit. B&W went out of their way to put together a functional bathroom and then finished the work after my family left. What's more, they offered to provide a remedy for my visiting family. I did not have to even ask.

The bathroom came out how I pictured it, was a testament to the professionalism and skill of those that worked on the project. It is important to note, too, that the price was reasonable, particular given the increase of the cost of materials in this present economy.

B&W created a wonderful rendering that served as the starting point of our remodel project; they never attempted to push their concepts on us. It always remained our project.

Black & White understands the concept of budget awareness.
Our project coordinator Junior always presented a good alternative to any issue that threatened to move us beyond our budget. He never pressured us to go with a higher cost component. Junior outlined the pros and cons to each of our budget decisions, but the decisons remained ours.

Black & White's workmanship is masterful. Their staff is very talented and never cut corners. If I had any issues, they quickly addressed it. They took their time to do the job right. We sent photos of our kitchen to friends and family. The overwhelming response was awe and envy.

This cntractor helped finish my house's basement in Columbia, MD that incldued plumbing, eleterification, and construction. They were very professional and skilled group. I referred them to anoter friend who also was equallyt satisfied with a bathroom that they added to his basement about a year ago in Bowie. They were also very punctuall and clean in performig their job. I reccommend them without any hesitation. Unfortunaely, I have not kept photos or videos of the work to add.

About 10 months after my basement renovation, the glass door to my newly installed shower spontaneously shattered in the middle of the night. Black and White stood behind their work and retrieved a replacement door and installed at no cost. About a year ago, my husband and I had our basement bathroom remodeled by Black & White Kitchen and Bath; which took roughly 4-6 weeks to complete. We replaced the tub with a walking shower. We met with Kevin in the Laytonsville showroom where he walked us through the project. He was very kind and patient as he explained the different tile and shower door options. He was always responsive to our phone calls when we had questions. Pictures of the finished project are included below. Recently we had issues with a shower head that was installed as part of the bathroom project. We called Kevin and like always, he was responsive to our request. Rodrigo served as the project manager, and he worked diligently to repair the shower head. Within two weeks the problem was resolved.

The team with Black and White is top notch! In August of 2022 we had a major leak in the upstairs Master Bath shower. The leaked caused the Dinning Room ceiling below to separate and the bath itself incurred damage in the Walls, Cement Board, Tiles and Subfloor. As we worked with our insurance company we searched with a remodeler that could basically redo the entire Bath. We settled on Black and White in Laytonsville due to a fantastic customer service experience (and because they were right around the corner). Our main contact at the beginning of planning the redesign was "Junior". What a fantastic young man! Very respectful and patient. He led us through all of the material selection and planning as well the tear down. The Project Manager, David was solid and on time as was Emilio. Manuel was detailed oriented in his craftmanship of the new plumbing, hardware, tile etc. The entire project took ~3.5 Months (not unusual for a project like this that included a complete demo upfront). I can't say enough about this family-owned business and highly recommend you talk to them for Kitchen and Bath Remodeling

NOTHING BUT SUPER JOB with high quality work and a very proactive owner that assured the work was done to perfection. It was a few months of work with a very polite, careful experts.

We utilized Black and White to complete our basement bedroom. From the start they were well organized and responsive. I was further impressed by how quickly they finished the project (they were in and out in just over two weeks time). They left their workspace clean each day and provided constant updates.

Excellent experience with Black & White Kitchen & Bath - from the first phone call to the final sign off. My new kitchen is absolutely beautiful and the workmanship is outstanding. When we first met with Junior, I’m embarrassed to say, I was a little skeptical because he seemed so young. Immediately I realized he knew exactly what he was talking about and had answers to every question we asked. He knows his business! He helped us through the design, explained the construction process/timeline, made great suggestions in the showroom and stayed within the budget we told him we were working with.

Once we signed the contract, Junior set us up with an app to monitor the progress of the job. We were able to see the timeline of work tasks and each day work was done, pictures were uploaded with the progress. We weren’t always staying at the home, so this was very helpful in tracking the progress of the job. Junior also connected us to Emilio, who would oversee the work being done.

Just like Junior, Emilio answered every question we had and kept in constant communication about every step of the project. We asked for a few changes and extra things as the work was happening and Emilio easily accommodated the requests and made updates to project plan. We were never left wondering what was happening. The job was completed in the agreed upon timeframe - a critical piece of the work.

Also worth noting, the men who did the work were the kind of people you’d want in your home doing work. Knowledgeable, courteous, and cleaned up at the end of the day so we could continue daily living in the space.

The whole process was well priced, well communicated, and left us with a beautiful result. I look forward to future bathroom renovations with B&W K&B!

My kitchen looks very beautiful and much more functional. The crew were on time, courteous, professional, and polite. Like many remodeling projects, there were delays and issues, but they were, resolved to my satisfaction.

Gerson and his team (Junior, David, Nano) were great! There were other workers but I don't recall their names. We had a hiccup or two along the way but Gerson and David (Project Manager) were quick to fix the issue. Our kitchen had the same look since it was built back in the late 1980's and it needed SERIOUS help. We had a budget that we wanted to adhere to but we also needed a new kitchen. We pretty much kept to our budget with the help of suggestions from Gerson and his team. We kept the same footprint (no walls were torn down) but changed the look and feel of the kitchen. I am so proud of how our kitchen looks now. For safety and health purposes (during this time of Covid) there were no more than 2 people in our kitchen at one time. Nano was great! He arrived on time each morning with a greeting and when he left at the end of the day, he always told us when he was leaving. The part I like best about my kitchen is the wall island and pantry. This space was once a desk. Now its a beautiful island with lots of storage. It is amazing! See attached photos of part of our kitchen before and after.

My kitchen was recently remodeled by Black&White Kitchen. (new cabinets, quartz countertop, stone backsplash, reset lights, outlets, light switches, sink/faucet, microwave range and fresh paint throughout). The townhome I purchased was built in '86 and barely no upgrades were done, but very well kept by the previous owners. We've been here for several years now and I wanted to start making it my own. I met with Kevin, who lead the design team and was so very humble and patient from start to finish while we chose the materials that took hours because I was so undecided. Kev answered a bunch of questions at all hours of the day, even when he wasn't in the office, and was always so responsive! Emilio, who came in on the project to oversee the project and was equally the same and always made sure the project was going according to plan, until it was completed. Emilio always kept me up-to-date on his team's schedules, status on materials coming in at all times. Always very attentive to any concerns I may have had during the project. I would like to mention and specially thank Jose for his hard work and who was the main crew member physically onsite and completed the remodel. He was always so pleasant while working so diligently on my kitchen while I teleworked! I'd like to thank David, one of the project managers, who also checked in to see how the project was going. We initially got three estimates. By far Black and White Kitchen and Bath's estimate was the most detailed breaking down the costs of each step of the project. The first meeting with Gerson to discuss our design, and then Apollo, Manuel and team were very conscientious and thorough in executing the plans. They covered the carpet and minimized dust as they went about removing the old tiles and preparation for the new tiles. The demolition work went smoothly and each day the work area was cleaned up and the floor coverings removed. Once the project started, they stayed with it each day and worked around a one week vacation we had previously planned. All work was exceptionally well done and the team were considerate of any concerns we had as the project progressed. They were very friendly and strived in all their work to provide total customer satisfaction from initial design, choice of materials, exceptional tile work which has provided a beautiful spa like bathroom!

This was our first major interior home remodeling project (we did an entire teardown and rebuild of our kitchen, and while these things are never easy, we were pleased with the work that Black & White Kitchen did. Manuel and his crew worked very hard timely and quality completion of the work, and our site manager Apolo stopped by regularly to make sure everything was running smoothly. The workers showed up more or less on time, when expected. If any changes needed to be made, or we needed clarification on something, our office contacts Gerson and MItsy were quick to respond to our inquiries. When our appliances we bought were not working properly, they did their best to troubleshoot. I greatly appreciate that they never left us hanging during the project, which was something I was very nervous about. The team completed the project in about 4 weeks, which was a bit delayed due to everything being on backorder due to COVID, but more or less within the estimated time frame.

I am in the process of a free estimate so will reserve my last star.

Excellent work. They did a bathroom remodel and leak repair. After countless plumbers could not fix the issue, I hired Black& White. They took care of the issue and replaced everything. The quality of their work was great. The workers always made sure to clean up before leaving for the day and treated my home better then my kids do! Will use them again for other projects.

The areas were thoroughly cleaned daily and all trash and debris removed from the property. I thank God for my new bathroom. They added electric lines and outlets to my basement. They also patched the cuts in the dry wall that they had to do in ordetr o install the outlets with great professionalism. They did a good job and they were very professional, punctual, and fair in price. I would recommend them highly.

I had a flood in my basement in 2017 and sustained significant damages. BWK restored it , installing a beautiful wood look porcelain floor, new walls and painting. They did A spectacular job. Very professionally finished job. The workmanship was perfect. Three years later I am still amazed at how good the basement looks!!
