We needed a new roof with improved ventilation to our attic. Of all the quotes we received, Black Diamond's stood out. It was a good price for quality work, and Jake (Estimator) was friendly and took his time going over everything. The roof replacement took two days, and the roofing crew was polite and efficient. Our neighbors have already complimented us on how great our new roof looks!

I recently had Black Diamond Roofing (BDR) repair an area on my roof were shingles had come loose and blown away due to very strong winds leaving my roof exposed. Once I reached out to BDR, Aaron promptly came out to view my damage and offered an estimate. Aaron was professional, friendly, upfront with costs, and detailed regarding the work. He even found rusty nails the previous roofing company left and brought a hand full down from my roof. I was super impressed with the customer service I received and I was scheduled within 2 weeks. Today the area on my roof, including some areas that needed to be fixed to the roof better was completed and it looks amazing!! I will no doubt call BDR in the future for all my roofing needs and always recommend their services. Two thumbs up & 5 for an outstanding experience, and quality work with a guaranteed!!!

It’s a difficult experience to lose a portion of your roof to the winds here in our area, especially the day after Christmas. What was made a difference was the attention and service Andrew, our estimator, gave us. It was a bit of time before weather allowed for the job to start, and he stayed in close contact the whole time helping us manage the process. When the job began, the lead of the crew who we affectionately called “other Andrew”, was just as fantastic. They communicated well with us and did an exceptional job in a short time. Josh, Black Diamonds owner, and everyone on his team exceeded our expectations. It was evident they live their values. Based on their service and final product, we would absolutely recommend Black Diamond.

I normally don't bother wasting my time writing up a negative review of a product or business, but Black Diamond's repair was inadequate for the performance of the work and the customer service response. After nearly 2 months of attempting to get on the schedule (quoted in October 2024, worked in December 2024), we had Black Diamond remove a deck on top of a flat membrane roof, install new flashing to fix a leak near the walls, as well as perform an inspection of the roofing material before re-installation of the deck. Shame on us for not inspecting the work thoroughly before we paid (lesson learned), after it rained a couple weeks later we called to tell them that their repair was unsatisfactory, their solution was a quote for a similar amount to replace the roofing and decking (supposedly in "satisfactory shape" only 1 month prior). Not only was the roofing visibly in poor condition, but they left garbage like old screws in the gutters, there are unsealed penetrations in the roofing for water to percolate through from the old deck screw holes, and the newly installed flashing wasn't sealed well (see the image of the massive gaps in their glue job). I would never recommend them to anyone I know, if you're satisfied with their work ours must've been an extraordinary case, but from our personal interactions with the company they were unacceptable.

They sent Jake out quickly when we realized we had a leak in our roof and he diagnosed the problem and remedied that day . Awesome service , great personality… highly recommend.

I contacted Black Diamond Roofing regarding doing a full roof replacement since my current roof was over 28 years old. Jake came out quickly and did a thorough estimate, explained the different packages and then I went to meet up with Josh at their office in Richland Washington. Everything in the estimate described exactly what they were going to do and then we picked a color that would look good on my house. They were able to schedule me in and get the full roof replacement done right before we had three straight days of rain! I was so very thankful for their hard work and absolutely fantastic quality. Had a new roof put on my home. I went with Black Diamond. What a wonderful experience, sometime older people can be taken advantage of as well as a widow. The salesman was absolutely wonderful, a shout out to Aaron. And the people that did the roof were very professional and hard workers. My son’s dog got loose. Three of them went and got her for me! We had Black Diamond Roofing replace our roof, siding and paint; definitely a one stop shop. Originally we were looking to replace our roof and had 5 contractors give us estimates. After we got the roof estimates we decided to replace the siding as well. We chose Black Diamond Roofing mainly because they were certified installers for the roofing and siding material. Having certifications is one thing but being able to deliver superior skills and prove the certifications is another. That’s exactly the quality of workmanship we got. The work got done in a week of temperatures that were 105-110. It didn’t deter them at all. It was business as usual for this group of quality craftsmen. The work was orchestrated by a very dedicated and talented foreman that worked hard himself and kept a close eye on all the workers. He was also available to talk with us to give us status updates and answer any questions we had. The foreman was also the painter and he did a beautiful job on our home. Even the owner of Black Diamond Roofing was at the job site a few times checking on the project. They all worked on our home like it was their own. I appreciate the professionalism and urgency they all gave our project. The before and after pictures of our home are strikingly different and we couldn’t be happier. I would highly recommend Black Diamond Roofing.

Wow! Amazing experience. We’re in the midst of a relocation and were in the process of listing our property for sale using a relocation services company. The company performed a home inspection and found several of our attic vents / exhaust vents were cracking, along with some exposed and no longer sealed attachment hardware. The company required these items be repaired in order to move forward, and we were given a deadline to have it completed.

After some searching and review-reading I decided to contact Black Diamond Roofing. They were able to get us scheduled the next day for an estimate.

Enter Aaron, an estimator with Black Diamond. He looked over the necessary repairs, provided an estimate quickly, and got us on the schedule for the repairs. As it turned out, they were able to get to our job even sooner than scheduled! Aaron was awesome to work with, great communication with everything and took some extra steps needed for documentation to provide to our relocation company. Martine and his roofing crew showed up early (again with great communication) and work was completed in a snap. They policed the work area afterwards and there wasn’t a sign they had been there - other than shiny new metal vents.

Can’t recommend them enough.

We had a fabulous experience with Black Diamond Roofing Company! We were replacing old cedar shakes and were dreading the mess it would make. The whole job took 2 days and we were very happy with their professionalism and expertise. And we were left with a beautiful new roof and nothing to clean up when they were finished! In these times of higher prices and sloppy work, it is nice to have a company that does what they say and delivers on what they promised. The crews were hard working and professional overall. I have asked many questions and got many satisfactory answers. Some of the replies went above what I expected making the results even more workable overall. Came out, quickly tore off the few layers off the roof, had the new shingles on by the end of day. Josh gave updates throughout the process. Was cleaner than most roofing jobs I've seen.

Been about two years and haven't had any issues with the roof, so quick and quality work.

We had them come out and bird proof our solar panels. I had a serious nesting issue with my panel situation. After installing when one of the sides started coming undone they came back to fix. Not only resealing both panel sections they assisted in cleaning out the panel areas. They did a great job and I can't recommend enough.

We called Black Diamond for some assistance finding materials to use for a demonstration project for a homeless shelter. They were so kind and helpful. Great people who clearly care about our community!

We needed to redo our roofing because our old roof was approaching its end of life. Our search and references from our friends showed that Black Diamond Roofing has very good reputation and that they do a great job.

When we contacted Black Diamond for an estimate, their sales representative, Aaron came in promptly, inspected the old roof and explained the various roofing options and then sent us an estimate. The estimate was reasonable, and we chose GAF Timberline HDZ shingles for roof with 50 year material and 10 year workmanship warranty.

On the roofing day, five workers arrived at our place and set to work. They were apparently well-trained and were safety conscious because they all wore harnesses when they were on top of the roof. They worked diligently, first stripping the old roof off that took half a day, and for rest of day they went ahead lay the new roofing.

After the roofing was completed, the workers diligently cleaned up all scraps of old shingles around the property and using a magnet also collected stray roofing nails. When the job was finished, Josh, the owner of the company, inspected the finished roof to make sure the job had been done appropriately.

Overall, Black Diamond Roofing is a very dependable company, and their roofing work is above par at reasonable cost. We highly recommend this well-established local company roofing work.

Andrew is great, very friendly and prompt. He came by to give me an estimate for a roof leak. He jumped on the roof found the hole, and told me how I could fix it myself, since it was a simple one. So he saved me quite a bit of money. If I have a big roof issue in the future, i will hire him!

Crew showed up on time and started by putting tarps on all sides of the house to catch any debris that might fall. The roof was completed in a day and half. Crew used magnets to sweep around the house after they removed the tarps. Great job and polite crew members. Thanks Black Diamond Roofing. We'll highly recommend you.

They completed a full roof replacement with all boards within 3 days, kept our house as clean as they found it, and provided us with the ultimate piece of mind. We hired Black Diamond to do a small roof repair after several high wind storms blew off some shingles. We originally used another company whose repairs did not hold with subsequent storms, but Black Diamond's repair has held for over a year. We recently found some additional missing shingles and they were able to fit the repair into their schedule the next day! We appreciated their quick response.

Josh is a very thoughtful minded owner. Kept us in the know, scheduled a crew, stepped up to the plate after the weather cleared. A two day window of professionals showed up Monday morning. Demo and prep work completed day one.
Tuesday roofing materials showed up and the gunslingers got it done. By the end of the day two, the crew had done a great job finished and cleaned up after themselves. Impressive and highly recommend these guys.

Jake was very open to all our questions when we were considering what to do, he was patient and explained all the options available to us. These guys are amazing! I had an active leaking roof that I had another company "fix." After a few days my roof was still leaking from all the rain in the tri cities... so I called Black Diamond Roofing in hopes they could figure it out. Needless to say, I should have called Black Diamond Roofing first! They showed up on time at the scheduled day/time that they promised too (the other company no-showed me several times). Their roof estimator provided me with in-depth details about what the problem was with my roof and provided a very reasonable estimate. We live all the way over in Montana, and were needing a new roof before having solar panels installed on the roof, and our solar provider contracted out with Black Diamond. We were very impressed with their professionalism and overall workmanship over the few days they were working on our roof. The crew was super nice, hard working, and very thorough in their work from the first roof access to the last bit of cleanup—and this was in the first week of January, so not the ideal roofing season, either. Our roofline is super close to our neighbors, and the BD crew was very considerate of our neighbors in the process, and that’s something we were grateful for. The crew was even able to disassemble and dispose of two long-unused & needless chimneys that were a major leak hazard. Our only regret was that we missed them ringing our doorbell when they finished up, and we weren’t able to tell them bye. Even though we didn’t interact with them much—that was mostly our solar providers—I would highly recommend Black Diamond, they provided a fantastic experience from start to finish.

Black Diamond roofing did a fantastic job on my roof, my roof is now the talk of the neighborhood! Due to the windstorm around November of 2022 in West Richland, I needed a new roof. I wanted a specific style shingle rated for hurricane style wind loads from GAF. I Looked up on the GAF website and only Black Diamond roofing was certified to install it in Richland. Gave them a call and they installed a beautiful new roof with quality workmanship. No messes to be found on any day they worked on it. Quality at its best! Highly recommended!

Highly recommend. Josh and co are invested in choosing the right materials, the right method, and will stand by their work. They were not the cheapest bid we got but their high level certifications and stated commitment to satisfaction reassured me that I would not be stuck with a hack job and ghosted by the less expensive offerings.

Sure enough, I needed a couple areas re-finished after the installation to meet my needs and Josh made the process completely painless. Special shout out to foreman Oscar who did before and after walkthroughs with me to make sure my concerns were properly addressed.

One thing to be aware of if you are doing work that involves your gutters being taken off: they do not re-install gutters by default so either ask for it to be included in the quote or have a plan for replacement afterwards.

Josh was quick to go out to the property and email me an estimate as I had requested and he came highly recommended from a few people in town that I know and they were able to do the roof sooner than expected which was fantastic as well as anytime I had a question he was there to either text me or call me back quickly so I appreciate the communication and responsiveness and the suggestion of color that would look good in the house. Everything turned out great… so I had him do my other house in that area a few months later.
I’m not sure how the crew did with the cleaning up process, but I haven’t heard any complaints from the renters so it must have been good cleanup as well.

I contacted Black Diamond because I knew they were one of the best in town. They came out and gave me an estimate, I submitted to my insurance and when I was ready for them to repair my roof, I got no response. I went with a other contractor who was very responsive and kept me up to date on the progress of supplies and when they would be here. I would not use Black Diamond again.

Due to a recent wind storm we lost some shingles in a couple spots. We searched local stores and vendors to replace the shingles and found out they were no longer manufacturing the color we needed. My name is Tony Kimball I hired Josh a couple years ago had bad ice dams he came out did a great job but part of the roofing he did started leaking I called him a year and and a half ago he was in south Dakota he promised he would get back with me nope heard nothing called him 6 times everytime it rains it leaks into my room I've tried caulking it that worked but he doesn't fake a couple minutes to even come and look at it to me it looks real minor but I'm not a roofer and you can't call bulls"'t on this it's going on 2 years he finally got back yesterday said he's to busy with the wind damage "what about me I'm your customer " I hope he reads this and know how wrong this is

Great crew and company to work with :)

They worked hard and fast and even though they were dripping sweat at times they would still answer my questions with a smile.

Knocked out a our house and garage roof including re-sheathing in two long days.
