Big O Tree and Lawn Service

Very pleased with the service we received. We had an infestation of spotted lantern flies on our maples. Sten came out the next day to see what was going on. He gave us a fair estimate and was back out in a few days to treat the maples and our hemlocks for adelgids as well. He had the right equipment and was very efficient. No more spotted lantern flies. And he recommended a treatment in the spring for another pest we had on one of the maples that we were not aware of. We will be using Big O Tree again.

Big O is amazing! The Thursday evening that Helene passed through the valley and deposited a tree on our house, the company had a representative there. I figured we would be waiting a week or two for the tree removal. Nope, they were there at 7:30am THE NEXT DAY! By noon, the tree was off the house and the roof was tarped. Then, by 8am on Monday (today), they were back to clean everything up (down to raking our front and back yards). By 9am, they had finished.

These folks are the best. Professional, understanding and thorough. Plus they have every “toy” that a tree company would need! Well worth every penny. Thank you Big O!

Ed and his crew did a great job with our tree work. We were disappointed with damage to our yard. Ed did have Alan return to put down grass seed and straw.

I had two 50+ ft pine trees in my front yard that needed to be cut down due to tree roots getting into my sewer line. Contacted multiple landscaping companies, this is the only one that called me back. They contacted me back quickly and put me in their schedule immediately.

Unfortunately I had to wait three whole months because they were so backlogged with work and because of bad weather forcing them to reschedule. Neither of those things were their fault however and they were very professional in explaining said situation. They were able to finally show up though and they did an amazing job and charged a perfectly reasonable price. Even took the time to grind up the stumps for me, which I didn't even ask for (at least I don't remember asking for it).

Only reason why they don't get 5 stars is because when they grinded up the stumps, they left a giant pile/mountain of mulch in one location and only spread it out a tiny bit. Outside of that though they cleaned up after themselves fairly well.

Overall they are a professional, well ran company that I highly recommend. Only downside is that they are really busy so if you need something done, try to schedule in advance.

Messaged for a quote, they were prompt with coming to see the work I needed done. Just completed the work and came out sooner than I expected, too. Great pricing and they also did a good job cleaning up debris from the yard.

This company was hired by my next door neighbor to trim a very large tree that required entering my property/driveway. The crew completely destroyed most of the garden and flower beds my wife and I have spent countless hours building and maintaining, and left without attempting to fix things or acknowledging the damage. The crew ran over our homemade beds and garden fences, and damaged quite a bit of property with their huge equipment and trucks. Extreme unprofessionalism to leave without saying anything. Would not recommend this company to anyone.

Living on a wooded lot with many old trees, we have used Big O a number of times to remove large dead trees - including some close to structures or the road. The crews have always been professional, fast, and above all safe. Great communication when we've wanted a consult on which trees needed to go.

These folks were very professional in their approach to their work. Did a great job for me. They have excellent equipment and dressed in proper saftey attire.

They did an amazing job even with being windy. They arrived early, also finished earlier the expected. Highly recommend them. Great pricing as well.

The crew of three worked efficiently and safely with full protective gear. Their equipment was top notch. They communicated well with us regarding our expectations and conditions they found during the work. They met three additional requests from us, to cut off a small mulberry stump, leave me a short section of silver maple for woodcarving and leave the accumulated leaves on the lawn so I could shred them for compost.

All that, plus the job came in well under budget. All in all, an impressive operation.

Finally a company with GREAT WORK ETHIC! From the visit for the quote to the final clean up this company was perfect. Honestly they were the second lowest quote, but Jamie (hope the name is correct) knew exactly how he was going to remove the five trees we requested. We were not present when the service was done, but when we arrived on site a day later, one could barely tell they had been there.

If you want an excellent job with professionalism and attention to detail, please use this company.

They came on time, listened carefully to our instructions and concerns and did an excellent job. They were willing to make minor adjustments and additions to the estimate items for small limbs at no extra charge.

The left over wood chips were a useful plus and they dumped them exactly where we asked them to.

I had a big oak tree pruned on the side of my house. They did a very good job, the tree looks a lot healthier and the space feels a lot more open. No surprise fees, what was estimated was the final cost.

They do what they promised to do and do it very well living no debris. They are trustworthy, competent, dependable, and a good value.

Big O Tree and Lawn were amazing. They were punctual, polite and professional. Their work was outstanding and our trees look healthy and well groomed. They were actually not loud at all either which was a concern I had for my neighbors. They cleaned up after as well. And they had really impressive equipment! I would recommend them to anyone.

Our home is nestled next to a tiny forested area in Rockbridge Baths. There were four completely dead hardwoods that had to come out. The crew was prompt, courteous, and did an excellent job. They left a very clean and clear site. Good quality work.

This team did a great job. They accommodated a challenging time frame (I had to be flexible) and completed the job exactly as I had requested it to be done. Jayme did a great job taking notes about my specific directions and they were followed to a T! I'll be calling them back when the need arises.

We have used Big O for several years with the care of our yard trees. They are friendly, prompt and professional. They have removed storm damaged limbs from our trees and have successfully treated them for various diseases. We are very pleased with their service.

Big O did a great job in trimming and thinning the large trees and in clearing out a number of small trees. Every step of the process was competent and professional from the initial planning stage until the last stump was ground out and every thing was raked and swept clean and neat.

Crew was very professional. Went to great lengths to not damage the ground. All debris was removed and the yard was left very clean. I will use them again if ever needed.

The best I have used. pros who left no trace of their work. At 70 with several properties I was fortunate to find BigO and the boys. Worth the wait.
