Jim and his crew rebuilt our front steps to include a small deck with a wrought iron railing. It looks better than I could have even imagined and the quality is superb.
They then texturized, primed and painted the master bath. Another fantastic job!

Have you ever had that repair guy that reminds you of your dad because your dad fixed everything right the first time? I have met that guy and his name is big Jim. I found Jim online when I had a home siding emergency last summer. His guy Everisto worked 12 hours straight to fix our siding before a patio could be installed the next day. Not only did it look incredible, Jim came by the next day to point out any tiny flaws that needed addressed. I was so impressed by his attention to detail I asked the impossible task of doing a complete bathroom remodel in 2 weeks! It included a tub to walk in shower conversion with demolition, 150sqft of tiling, moving plumbing, new flooring, removing and installing a new vanity, baseboards, mirror, lighting, hardware, a plumbing repair, and painting. It was a surprise for my husband’s 50th birthday while we were out of town and let me tell you he was thrilled! Jesse, Evaristo, and Jeff worked endlessly finishing it in time.
They did such an amazing job I asked Jim to do another bathroom recently damaged from a pipe rupture. The second bathroom was done while I was home and I got to witness just how awesome the crew is. They love what they do and take pride in their craft. They even tolerated me pretending to be the general contractor asking them to re-do some things. There was never any concern for cutting corners, rushing, or not doing things right. When you use Big Jim you are guaranteed the highest quality of work.
I will use Big Jim’s for all of my future home repairs, remodels, maintenance, interior and exterior needs.

They were at my house to look at my leaky roof the day after I called them and had the roof fixed the next day. Very courteous, professional, kept me informed every step of the way. Left no mess, charged what they said they would. I have found a handyman crew, in Big Jim's Home Repair, that I trust and will use again.

Jim and his team are most excellent. They finished a lot of projects previous handymen left mid job. A small project turned into a large project as more dry rot was exposed but Jim was very straightforward and upfront about the cost and stayed within the quote. We will be having them back again. Jim and his colleague exceeded my expectations regarding their professionalism, expertise, and customer service (which is very important to me). They never spoke down to me, maintained excellent attitudes, and were very knowledgeable when assessing the issue with my front door and what the best repair option would be and why. I will be using them in the future if any repair work is out of my depth. :)

Starting in 2014 we have used Big Jim's Home Repair for all of our remodeling and home repairs. We updated our kitchen, removed interior walls, installed new lighting and made improvements to the garage and attic. Our most recent experience, December 2021, was to repair a very leaky kitchen faucet. I called Jim in the morning and the faucet was fixed by late afternoon. Jim and his team are our go to guys for any thing related to taking care of this house we love.

Big Jim is the man! My boyfriend and I tried to DIY a new exterior door on a Sunday and quickly realized it was completely outside our skill set. I called Jim on Monday, he came out and looked at it that day, and him and his guys were here on Tuesday for the install! I couldn't believe how accommodating he was and you could tell him and his guy Jeremy were quality contractors. They didn't skimp on a thing and had quality ideas when things weren't going to plan. This is a review 7 years after the fact. In 2014, Jim and his crew replaced all the siding, repaired roofing, and painted my house. After 7 years, everything still looks great and keeps out all the weather - no leaks, no problems, no complaints. Big Jims is a firm you can trust to do your job right the first time, so you know it will go the distance. Thanks again to Jim for a job well done, and time-tested.

Jim is just an old fashioned good guy. He has answered so many of our questions and really knows his stuff! Highly recommend!

I’ve used Big Jim’s company several times for projects around the house and have always been happy with the service I receive. Most recently I had them build a large covered deck off the back of my house. It turned out beautiful! The quality of materials plus the construction will ensure it lasts many years. It has been tested by wind, rain, snow and ice and has stood strong. I overheard my neighbors admiring it from their yard too. I’m looking forward to hosting parties on it this summer.

We had a leak in our roof that dripped down behind our wall. Jim’s team came out and repaired our roof to stop the leak and also replaced a large section of drywall. I was weary of how it would look in the end but it looks amazing! You literally cannot tell that they patched a huge section of drywall. If we need home repairs done again we will definitely call Jim.

We hired Big Jim's Home Repair to help us update our kitchen. We were working within a budget and wanted a facelift, not a full remodel. Big Jim's helped us figure out how to get the most bang for our buck. They replaced our old steel sink with a new country style sink and installed a more powerful and quieter garbage disposal. To brighten the kitchen Big Jim's installed recessed LED lights in the ceiling and below the cabinets. Then, they brightenedy the walls with a fresh coat of paint. And finally, Big Jim's painting team resurfaced and painted our cabinets in a beautiful, bright pewter white. Thrilled with the new look and feel of our kitchen and we saved thousands of dollars. Big Jim's Home Repair team was extremely professional and helpful. They were meticulous throughly the project and the end product was super high quality.
