As a fellow homeowner at Puuone Terrace,
I feel strongly compelled to respond to the review left by another resident.

While I respect everyone’s right to share their experience, it’s important to clarify that this review does not reflect the experience of all unit owners — especially NOT mine.

The plumbing replacement was a major project that affected several units, including my own. I witnessed firsthand the professionalism, dedication, and responsiveness of Berlien Construction Group and their project manager, Sarah. Not only did they provide clear, consistent communication throughout the process, but they also navigated complex logistical challenges with care and skill. This was a highly intrusive, months-long job requiring coordination between contractors, plumbers, homeowners, and insurance. Sarah led this with integrity and grace.

To suggest that Sarah was unqualified or incompetent is both unfair, inaccurate and down right slander. Her role was not to perform the plumbing work herself, but to manage the coordination and communication between all parties involved — and she did so tirelessly. Meetings were regular, information was transparent, and questions were welcomed. The PowerPoints mentioned were not “elementary”; they were clear, structured summaries of progress with next steps laid out for homeowners with the project also being finished completely on time.

Additionally, to publicly mock someone’s competence or professionalism in such a personal and disparaging way undermines the respect that we as homeowners should have for eachother as neighbors, community members and human beings. This type of language is slanderous and damages reputations without merit and does not align with the cooperative spirit we all need in a shared residential environment.

I fully stand behind the work done by Berlien Construction Group and am grateful for the positive outcome — including the long-term value it adds to each of our property.

I sincerely hope future reviews reflect a more balanced, accurate and factual perspective, especially when speaking on behalf of others.

Berlien construction group is a faux construction management company. The manager who represented the company and took on a major plumbing project to address the leak admitted to not only not having a degree in the field nor any field experience.

The pitch was we can handle communication amongst owners.

Sure she spent her time making elementary level power point slides when hosting meetings. None of the slides presented any new information and whenever asked a question she was unprepared for any answers or information.

Hire a real construction group. Or i invite you to go to puuone Terrace where Sara oversaw the installation of PVC pipes to replace a 50 foot stack of cast iron.

The PVC pipes sits behind the walls, supported only by its own strength and weight. But somewhere she heard that PVC outlives cast iron and will die on her own sword before she recognizes she cant tell a hammer from her big toe.

Sarah was unprofessional in her direct dealings with owners. So much that everyone affected by her project addressed the situation with tremendous distress and at the end of the project all of the owners affected where entirely dissatisfied.

She was hired for the project because she is on the Kahului paddle team with the president of our board of directors.
