In a business that is widely known as bieng shady, BENS Roofing is the worst and most shady company I've ever seen/heard of.

It took over a month to do an extremely simple job.....
The first week there were three people sitting in the truck smoking while one laborer did most the work (if they even showed up that day)....
They that's all their tools and equipment all over the place and never bothered to clean up daily.

The lady in the office was even worse to deal with then the actual roofers.

Now its been two years and the roof looks awful and we still get nails on the driveway every time it rains becuase they didnt even properly at the end of the job.. ive had one flat tire my entire life up until the roof was done.. now I've had multiple, so has my wife. .. and its a rusty roofing nail every single time we look. Always by the downspout.

Just find ANYONE else. Do yourself a favour.... you're just going to be disappointed if you hire these scammers.

I highly recommend Ben’s roofing. From the first phone call, the office staff was very friendly, the owner was extremely knowlegable, and the crew was punctual and great workers. The owner did not oversell work we didn’t need and explained in detail all the work he would provide. The garage roof was done in record time. Again, I would highly recommend this company

I am writing this review with the hope of saving someone the frustration that I have just experienced when using Bens Roofing in Sarnia, Ontario. I can’t comment on whether the positive reviews here are fake or not, however my experience mirrors that of Ms Morningstar as outlined in her review. My ‘two week’ contract for roof and siding replacement on a small cottage was still NOT complete after 6 weeks.

The employees were polite and managed doing the roof but had to redo areas which were done incorrectly. Eg the ridge cap and chimney flashing. However, these employees did NOT know how to do siding, soffit and facia, flashing or trim and it certainly showed it!

Even though the weather had some rainy and windy days, this two week job just kept on and on and on! Their ability to work with the “J-channel” around the windows was ridiculous and resulted in them coming back numerous times to fix things - only to have it look just as bad as the first time. Some of the caulking that was done looked like a 3 year old’s colouring and even some of the actual siding was not level or installed incorrectly and in one area was buckled.

The workers often arrived late in the morning and finished their day mid afternoon, leaving dropped nails, bits of vinyl siding, tortured aluminum and hundreds of cigarette butts for us to clean up, which was frustrating since they knew my time constraints.

After 6 weeks and overdue on my deadline, I finally chose to ask them to leave. I am now having to buy product and have my husband spend his time and effort in trying to correct this terribly unprofessional job.

The long and the short of it? LONG on promises - SHORT on performance! LONG on excuses - SHORT on quality!
