Belletetes of Peterborough

Love the fact this is a local chain - glad to stay away from the Big Box DIY stores when I can. And the great selection and helpfulness of the Belletetes staff make it easy. My go-to for any hardware and building needs.

I used to shop at the Jaffrey and Peterborough stores regularly. Over the years their customer service and the quality of their products has decreased. They don’t have convenient hours and generally don’t seem to want my business. Fortunately I have found much better options in Antrim and don’t need the Belletetes attitude.

Just had a half a pallet of bio bricks and some water softener pellets delivered. We were very impressed how thoughtful whoever delivered to Greenfield rd was!! Bio bricks were stacked up on top of softener pellets so bricks won’t get wet from the snow, bricks were covered with plastic cover and they were stacked up away from the garage so we won’t have issues pulling out. Plus delivery was free!! Thank you for being awesome!

A large glass pane, in a retractable screen storm door I purchased here a few years ago, (heat) shattered. I related the damage to this store; after researching my original purchase order, the folks in storm doors recommended I purchase ($500+) a new replacement door, since the shattered pane could not be replaced. After ordering that, I was steered into calling the door manufacturer. They sent me a voucher for the new door, after paying a small copay/coinsurance fee. After kicking myself for not thinking of that first, I realized this retailer REALLY OUGHT TO HAVE GUIDED ME TO THAT SOLUTION. Disappointing.

We always end up at Belletetes - they always seem to have what we're looking for. The staff is knowledgeable and helpful, and the prices are sometimes even lower than the big box stores. They usually have a better selection too. Thank you again Belletetes!

Everything I need is available here. The lumber is much better quality than the other big box stores, and there are people all through the store ready to help you with whatever you need.

Always great for your standard hardware needs. However, I would love to see them get a better selection of sch 40 PVC fittings. Particularly a wider range of reducer bushings, reducer couplings and male and female adapters. I do not think I am alone in this.

Great people, good building materials, competitive pricing and no issues returning extra material. A good partner to the small contractor.

The staff were friendly and helpful, I was in and out in minutes with everything I needed for my DIY project!

Business hours on google say that they are open on New Years and drive all the way there and they are closed. Not that hard to update your business hours. Not only this but one of the worst customer service places ever.
Was loading lumber once with a broken wrist and cast on and a guy in the yard came over to me to tell me they were closing soon and then went on his way. I have always been treated as if I was inconveniencing them.

Always friendly and helpful staff, Easy to park, and navigate through the store itself. plenty of tools on hand, a great selection of nuts and bolts for the quick pick up. I would like to see an expansion of Farm type product though. Given the area it's in, I find myself thinking i might have to go to TSC to pick up a few bits and bobs, it feels a bit standard and I am asked if i have an account with them, get away from that. It makes it feel industrial and not the neighborly place it should be.

Small store with friendly employees. We found what we needed this time but on previous visits had to go elsewhere to find what we needed. Their focus seems to be on quality over quantity so you can't be mad at that.

I have always had good experiences at Belletetes. I bought all the materials for building my house, addition, barn, wood sheds, and garage, and everything to maintain them, for 40+ years. I've gotten to know many of the staff (many of whom are neighbors), and find them very helpful.
Some folks who write reviews don't like to shop locally, and would prefer to spend their money with large corporations. I like to support local businesses, so that they will be able to stay around and employ local people.
Not every customer is easy to please, but can be quick to write bad reviews, rather then trying to resolve problems. Treat others with respect and they will reciprocate.

They have what you need, prices are good. They have products you won't find any where else. I have ordered lumber for delivery and all of it was #1 and delivery charges are the lowest.
