Usually I take negative reviews with a grain of salt but they’re correct on this one. Scheduled for an estimate on the peninsula at 4. The technician, Robert, misjudged traffic up from the southside. 20 minutes prior to the appointment, he called and said he’s not coming. When I said that I would be moving in another direction on the roof, he proceeded to make a rude comment, sarcastically saying then he wished I would’ve told him so he didn’t stick himself in traffic, and proceeded to hang up abruptly.

Apparently he had called earlier and asked if the appointment could be moved back. Well buddy, not everyone has access to their personal phones during work hours. In fact, some of us work in secure facilities that do not allow for camera phones. But an appointment is an appointment. If an estimator cannot be professional with that, then I shudder to think at what will be done when a roof of all things is at stake.

I've worked with this company twice. First was to replace just the front section of the gutters and a part of the trim on the exterior of the house. They did it very quickly and did a great job. Josh was my point of contact and he was very responsive and communicative. Second time was to get our roof replaced. I worked with Miguel. He was very patient with my situation and was always available for any assistance. They replaced the roof in a single day. Did a good job. Without hesitation, he made sure to fulfill all my requests. My only issue was the little mess that was left behind. I communicated that and Miguel made sure to get it dealt with immediately. Prices were very competitive and am happy with their work.

I wish I had taken a before and after pictures to share with everyone. This company was wonderful from start to finish! They were professional, respectful, knowledgeable, and efficient. They gave me a fair price for the job (new roof) I needed done, and they completed the job in a single day as promised. They cleaned up all debris around the entire house. We have found a few nails here and there, but very few!! They went over the area with a magnet!! A magnet!! to find all nails they could and clean them up!! They got me 0% financing for 24 months, and because I work out of town they were willing to handle everything possible through emails! Highly recommended!! I would gladly put one of their signs in my front yard as advertisement!! It is so very worth the money to have such professional work done to your house!!!

Joshua and his team were fantastic. I was told the work would take approx a week. They were done in four days. Joshua was in touch with me throughout. Team was clean, courteous and quiet. I was very particular and asked for some changes mid-project and they met my every need. I would highly recommend.

Great Experience with Bayview Exteriors. I highly recommend these honest professionals. The office communicated through email, text message, and a postcard in the mail with the engineer’s name and photo so we would know what Fred would look like. We also got a phone call when Fred was on his way. Fred gave us a lot of information from his years of experience as a building engineer so that we could make an informed decision and he pointed us in the right direction. I recently had a roof and wood trim repair done by Bayview Exteriors. The roofing crew completed the work in two days and the trim work was done in a day once the roof was completed. It is a messy job, but the clean up around my home of every scrap of shingle and roofing paper exceeded my expectations. Upon inspection, however, I found a couple of issues. One piece of the trim work above the garage door had been done, but they failed to replace a small two inch piece of rot in the crown molding below the top piece of trim. To repair, they would have to take apart all the work they did and repaint again. I met with Bayview and they agreed it was not correct and the trim was replaced and fixed correctly. I had also noticed that when throwing the shingles down off the back of the house, a few shingles had floated back against the white siding and left a few thin trails of tar in spots down the siding. I pointed this out. Bayview made three attempts to clean with various products and by pressure washing on two separate occasions. Every effort was made to clean the siding; unfortunately, the cleaning solution(s) had caused the finish of the 20 year old siding to appear clean, but different when the light or moisture was on it in the right light. To my surprise, Bayview made it right by replacing ALL of the siding on the back of my house! When I have told this story to neighbors and friends, I always pause here in the story. Everyone expects the worst and is sure the contractor left me with siding that was damaged. They can not believe it when I finish the story and tell them how Bayview handled this. Best experience with a contractor I have ever had. So good that if you want a personal reference, call Sheila at Bayview and she will connect us and I will answer any questions you might have. Excellent company! I had them do some minor siding repair work and they were great! They started work the very next day and they were committed to making sure that everything was perfect. I had a few questions about the work and one of the owners came out to the house in less than 30 minutes to go over every detail in person. This is a review of my experience trying to get an estimate. I have not used this company and cannot speak on the quality of their work. I am in the process of purchasing a house and spoke with Josh about getting an estimate on a slate roof repair. I was impressed with his knowledge and liked his suggestions. We agreed on a date and time for the estimate. My realtor waited for someone to arrive, but called to let me know they were a no-show (I live out of town). I called the next morning to find out what happened and was assured by the woman answering the phone I would receive a call back from Josh. No call back by 4:30pm so I called again and got through to Josh. He apologized and we agreed upon another date with estimates for even more work (guttering). I called the day of the estimate and Josh said they were already on their way and I would have the estimate that same day. Guess what - no show and no estimate. This was a time sensitive situation due to contract deadlines. Thankfully I have a back-up estimate from another more reliable company.

I contacted Bayview Exteriors to provide an estimate to complete a relatively small job on storm damaged metal roofing on a residence. They staff was extremely friendly and came out very quickly to review the repair. They provided a written estimate on the spot which I accepted. I also asked them to complete pressure washing on the residence to remove mold/mildew. Like the roof repair, they completed the job in a very timely manner and the end result was our complete satisfaction. I would certainly recommend Miguel Martinez, his company and staff for future repairs and pressure washing. I really liked the professionalism of this company and their employees. Bayview Exterior was outstanding to say the least. Josh came and gave me an estimate for the work needing to be done. He was knowledgeable and honest. They replaced our roof and did an excellent job at the fairest price. They had to replace boards, put on a weather guard under layer plus the shingles. It has held up well with all this terrible weather and I don't have to worry about leaks anymore. The crew worked very hard and were very professional. They were fast too.

Great service from Miguel! They put new roofs for 2 of my properties back in 2013 and I never had a problem. I recently had an emergency not related to the roof and they came right away in the middle of the rain storm to help. Great people and great prices!

We hired bayview exteriors about 2 years ago to do siding on our house and they did an awesome job. We had a bad storm roll through and they came out and fixed a piece about 3 months after the job was done. They were extremely professional and followed up! Would recommend!

Have used them on several occasions and only had positive experiences. Responsive and respectful staff, combined with fair pricing and quality workmanship.

Stay away from these guys, they replaced the soffits on my place for 2k. And cracked a board in the fascia thick caused the fascia and soffit to pull away from the roof. Refused to come fix it unless I replaced all the fascia for another 1500 bucks. Said it was preexisting even though they did not note it when they were up there. I called them all the time to get it fixed. They just kept passing the buck to someone else. Very unprofessional and disappointing.

They don''t care about their potential customers. Made an appointment they cancelled it without notifying me. I had to call to find out what was going on. Made another appointment the next day and once again no show. Had to call again to find out what was going on. They didn't even know. I was pretty much to wait until he shows in in maybe 30 minutes maybe longer. They just don't care.

We contracted with Bayview Exteriors to accomplish extensive replacements of exterior trim, soffits and siding on our house. They did an absolutely beautiful job. The company owners, Miguel and Sheila Martinez, visited our work site several times during the house repairs to make sure we were greatly pleased with every detail of the work and to check contract progress. The skilled work crew of Josh, Noe, and Mark took pride in the high quality of their repairs, and were very courteous, respectful and professional. Miguel Martinez proved to be a highly skilled craftsman, having exceptional knowledge and experience in residential repair work. With his guidance and assistance, the work crew expertly resolved a few unique challenges and surprises encountered in repair of our old home. We were also very pleased the crew worked every day consecutively until all the work was complete, arrived at a consistent time each day, made good progress each day working 8-9 hours, took time at the end of each work day to collect and dispose of construction debris, and took care not to damage our many flowers and shrubs. Thanks to Bayview Exteriors, our old home now looks new again. We obtained multiple proposals from contractors and selected Bayview because of the following factors: they quoted the lowest price; they are very experienced in the type work we needed to have done; they are very experienced working with PVC; past internet reviews of their work are complimentary, they are rated A+ by the Better Business Bureau, and they are a licensed contractor in the State of Virginia.
