We had our roof replace and a side of vinyl siding repaired by Authentic Restoration about 6 and a half years ago. The initial process was unpleasant, and I questioned their work during the repair process. It was SO BAD I requested that the foreman NEVER return to my house after a certain point. I felt that they were laying the first row of shingle incorrectly and had the foreman out at that time and many others. He told me I had the "best and expensive" gutter guards and that I could have them removed to make the roof look straighter, or keep them on, but the shingles were laid correctly and the warranty on the roof/shingles would be void if changed. We opted to keep the guards that predated the new (then) roof as we didn't want to have to worry with clogged gutters. I also complained numerous times about the siding repair as the length of siding that needed to be replaced required no splicing of the pieces; however, the installers pieced it together with what I would almost call seconds. I felt my insurance paid top dollar for this roof (12,000) and siding (40000-5000) at the time which I thought was outrageous; however, it needed to be done, and I wanted it to be hassle free - NOT!
In 2022 there was a dark spot on the ceiling in the living room; I contacted the company. I will say that this was a more pleasant interaction. The worker went into the attic with me, and we tried to determine how the water, if any, was getting in. We didn't find any defects. I would almost change my star rating to a 2 b/c of this interaction, but........
I thought that we had finally hashed out all the issue until I had the old gutter guards replaced recently. The gutter company called during the process and told me some shingles were missing. I asked if he had torn a few accidently during the replacement, he said no that they were ALL missing on the initial row on the front of the house. I asked if he had torn the entire first row off, and he stated no. They were never placed. Only the starter row was there. I contacted AR about this. I honestly was surprised, but NOT surprised based on my past interaction with this company. We texted with one of the company’s owners who of course tried to point blame on the gutter company. I asked 1)-why would he call and say they were never placed 2) why are there NO torn shingles on the porch where the guards were replaced at the same time? We sent pictures to which he circled a couple areas and said that the shingles looked torn to him; I laughed and corresponded "do you even know how to lay a roof? That's part of the starter row." He got offended and cowed. Pitiful.

I reached out about a roof inspection and got help in quick manner of time. They did there inspection where I just new I was going to have to replace my roof. That was not the case, they found the issue, was something that less than $50 could fix and didn't charge me a single cent for the inspection. Great company. Will continue to recommend.
