Dakota came out to help with a roof inspection. They were able to schedule last minute and even accommodated when I had to reschedule. Dakota was super helpful, did quick work, and communicated everything well. He even followed up and sent confirmation of what I needed right then and there. Such a great company to work with and I will be using them in the future. Great service by Dakota and Augustine Roofing!

I’ve worked with Augustine Roofing on three separate roof replacements across different properties, and each experience has been excellent. From the initial proposal to the completed work, their team has consistently demonstrated professionalism, attention to detail, and clear communication. Their proposals are thorough, competitively priced, and make it easy to understand the scope of work. The crews are efficient, respectful of the property, and always leave the job site clean and tidy. Augustine Roofing continues to be my trusted choice because of their consistent quality, reliability, and strong customer service. I highly recommend them to anyone in need of roofing work.

There was about a one-month lead time between signing the contract and the start of the work. Their pricing is aggressive and competitive. The roof installation itself looks solid and professionally done. A Project Manager did stop by once during the job to check on progress.

However, there were some frustrations: parts of my lawn were damaged due to the crew using a circular saw directly on the ground, which was disappointing. Cleanup also left much to be desired — I found a significant amount of old roofing debris around the yard and pulled over 20 nails from the gutters.

Additionally, it took several weeks and multiple follow-ups via phone and email before I received the link to make the final payment.

Despite these issues, I’d still rate them 4 stars overall.

This is the second time we have used this company – first was for installation of a new roof – this time for fascia and soffit. They just keep getting better. Overall, the workmanship was excellent, the price reasonable, and most importantly, Augustine continued to build a huge amount of trust with the customer through an honest and transparent process from beginning to end. Originally, we hoped to do this project in the fall of 2024 and had begun the bidding process. Augustine was unable to bid due to workload, but rather than string me along with false promises, they provided an honest estimate of availability in early 2025. In the meantime, we bid to several other highly rated companies all which either attempted to upsell or provided limited options. Because Augustine provided such good care in our roofing installation, we decided to wait for their availability. Once available, scheduling the initial estimate was easy and timely, and good communication continued through the back and forth of settling details in the contract and changes after signing. However, we waited more than two months for word on our official start date, and I had to prompt them to get answers. Effective communication from the onsite foreman was also a bit lacking as I was unsure when the team would arrive, the number of days it would take, or what was to be accomplished on any given day. I would have preferred a proactive approach in both these regards. Scoping of work is truly where Augustine shines. Dakota Biller was a Godsend. He expertly talked through the full scope of options, materials, costs, colors, pros, and cons. He actively listened to our needs (unique due to the dark color aesthetic of our trim), provided helpful guidance, and did not attempt to upsell. We settled on wood with aluminum cladding for the fascia, vinyl soffit, replacing vice reusing existing gutters, and even replacement of a small section of damaged siding. Quality of Work: Installation was professional and cleanup was thorough. The final product looks magnificent! Pricing: Price was the most reasonable of all highly ranked companies even with totally replacing our 6-inch gutters. Part of this was due to Augustine’s willingness to only replace rotted fascia with new wood – other companies saw it as an all or nothing prospect. Their 10-year warranty provided peace of mind. This was a RARE hassle-free project, and I cannot recommend Augustine Roofing enough.

Augustine Roofing did an excellent job from start to finish. They coordinated via phone and email and kept me up to date with scheduling. They also were able to remove and install my roof in less than a day! The roof and skylights look great. They also cleaned up around the house very well too.

Superb service that I'll rate with five stars. The estimator evaluated my roof and didn't try to convince me that I needed repairs. Instead, he explained that it was in good condition and would last possibly 20 to 30 more years. I'm very grateful and highly recommend Dakota and the company!

We recently (2024-25) used Augustine to replace our single family home's roof, siding, and gutters. The sell process was easy (and low pressure), it was covered by insurance and they were able to meet the amount we received. The wait for materials was a bit long (but out of their control). Ultimately we are very pleased with the service and products. The installs were done quickly and look great. The crews cleaned up the site each day which is huge for me. I would not hesitate to recommend them for your similar projects.

We have heard the old saying - you get what you paid for. In replacing my roof shingles Augustine surpassed all my expatations in every aspect of what needed to be done. The crew went beyond the call of duty to take the old roof off and replace it with a new a new one. I have bushes all around my house, they had tarps placed to protect these when the old shingles were taken off and the final clean up was great. They installed flashing on the Fascia all around the house which will protect it. They installed two types of underlayment, one to shield from water and ice, and they use the very high quality GAF shingles. The whole group was very professional and completed the job in one day.

Amazing transformation of our home with the original aluminum siding from 1976. Augustine replaced the roof, gutters with guards, siding, soffit, facia, and rake boards, and even wrapped the door trim. All of this was done on the main house, garage, and garden shed. Excellent customer service and workmanship to match!

Augustine Roofing put a new roof on for me yesterday. I am so pleased with the new color and happy to know they took the time to replace any sheeting that needed it. The workers were pleasant, took the time to smile when I went out with my dogs. They worked consistently, and were very organized as they did the multiple areas on home and garage. They spent a lot of time cleaning up afterwards—picking up the tiniest pieces and anything that blew around, as it was fairly windy. This area was hit by hail—but not my house— so I know they were inundated with work, but they found time to fit my home in as soon as weather allowed. Communication could be a bit better, but was there when necessary. Overall, I have nothing but good things to say about Bill, his company and this crew!

We used Augustine Roofing for a skylight replacement a few years ago and a new roof in 2024. Both projects went very well. Our new roof was through insurance and Dakota came through quickly with a roof inspection and getting us the right quote to match our insurance report. The crew completed the work in a day and cleaned up like they weren’t even there. We haven’t had any issues with the roof but one strap came off of the new downspout and it was too high for us to get to, they came out quickly and fixed it right away. No complaints about Augustine and we will definitely use them in the future if needed!

I called Augustine Roofing after a big hail storm had come through. I had seen someone on FB said they were a really good company and they were not wrong. AR came to my house did an inspection and showed me photos and all the damage that had been done. They walked me through the whole process with the insurance and the inspector. They answered all my questions and were there the whole time. When it came time to replace the roof they were very professional and did an excellent job. They went back over the whole roof when they were done to double check everything and cleaned up I couldn’t tell they were even there minus my new roof. Communication was awesome with weather delays and when roofing materials were to be dropped off. On the day of installation, the company was prompt and efficient. My roof looks so good! Couldn't be more pleased with Augustine Roofing.

Fast, thorough experts who know how to clean up to boot!! We called Augustine when our insurance company gave us the run around regarding damage. Bill leant his time and expertise to help (no promises either way!). Lo and behold, our claim was approved. Augustine gave us a quote, scheduled the work within days and got everything done in a day. I wish every contractor was as thorough and easy to work with!

We called in the company to repair a section of our roof in August after seeing a water leak. They suggested patching the area and charged us over a thaudand dollars. After only 3-4 weeks, the same area showed the leak again. When we inquired about this, they said there was an issue with the skylight, and they are not responsible for this issue. Just to be clear, no one told us about this before they patched the area - if they saw the problem beforehand, they should have let us know before taking the job. They also said they were not responsible for adressing the recurrent leak because its not under a warranty. When we pointed out how the patch failed only after 3-4weeks, they said they will get back to us. Never heard from them back again.

Because of the urgency with the ongoing leak, we rushed to find another company. They assessed our roof and pointed out the poor quality work done at the area (which makes sense given the recurrent leaks). We went with this company, fixed the roof, and not seeing the leaks again.

I cannot recommend August roofing company for their lack of transparency, poor quality works, lack of responsibility, and professionalism. Quite surprising considering the good rating here.

Our second time with Augustine, nine years apart thanks to Hail. I have a large, complex roof. They started early with a large crew and got it done in a day, when the days were getting shorter. These guys know what they are doing and they do it well. Pricing is extremely competitive. And they were my low bidder. This is a local Sterling company. I encourage you to use them and to keep our money with Loudoun County businesses. Stay away from the storm chasers! You can trust Augustine!!!

Augustine roofing installed my roof 5 years prior. No issues with the roof itself which has performed well without issue. I requested an inspection to make sure everything was in good shape ahead of the winter and to check an out of site soffit for a tight fit. My house was in need of a new roof, which led me to contact multiple roofing companies over the last couple of years. Give one star because there is no negative starts in Google. After 3 years of roof installation, the roof has leaks that I would failure of workmanship and contacted them to inspect it. The technician “arrived” but did not contacted me. Took a picture of my neighbor siding and considered case closed. The leaks are in multiple locations, and they don’t even bother to investigate.

We installed solar attic fans with Augustine Roofing. First, I was happy. We were told that the fans installed would rotate throughout the day to receive the most sun exposure. Then, we called the company to come out because we noticed the fans weren't running. They came out and said the solar panels should have been directed differently to get more energy. The tech said someone would come out to fix it. Nothing happens and months go by. Then I contacted the company again and am told the the effect I'm looking for will not be achieved. So basically, you sold me a product and a service that doesn't do what it's supposed to do, or at least what you said it would do, and then you just left us hanging. It's s been utterly frustrating to get callbacks etc. I will not be calling this company again for any roofing needs.

I had a baseboard fall off and had the Augustine Roofing techs come out and unfortunately it showed a lot of other problems so i ended up getting a new roof.

I appreciate the pictures they take and share with you both while you're getting a free consult and also when the work was done. They are very professional and prompt and take the time to answer all of my questions in person and via email. They also work with your HOA and do their best to color match your roof to the HOA and your color specifications. I was super surprised that everything with my new roof was done in 1 day! In Oct of 2023 my roof started leaking . I called four different roofing companies in Northern Va. area for free estimates . Two out of four companies arrived at my house and tried to use high pressure ,strong arm sales techniques. Some of the people at my church and family recommended that I call Augustine Roofing Company . I called them on a Monday morning and they scheduled an appointment for me two days later . Chief estimator Johny came to my house and inspected my roof and also went into the attic to inspect the roofing trusses and plywood . Johnny then explained to me what needed to be done to fix and replace my roof . Johny did not pressure me and was very knowledgeable and professional . He also pointed out some other small issues on the house that I was not aware of because I am always working . I reviewed the proposal that Johnny gave me and sent Johnny a massive amount of email questions . He graciously responded to all of the emails and gave me great options . One week later all of the roofing material and plywood was delivered on a Tuesday afternoon and the replacement project was started the next morning . Project manager R.J came to my house with five very skilled carpenters . R.J oversaw the project from start to finish . R.J also found an issue in my attic with a kitchen stove vent that was not connected to the roof vent .The vent was forcing hot steam into my attic instead of venting it to the atmosphere . R.J saved me from having serious issues in the future by recognizing this issue and fixing it for me . R.J also had a technological advanced drone which he used to take pictures of the project in all stages .We were really impressed with this technology . R.J. and his crew did a great job installing the roof and cleaning up after this project was completed . A week later I called and spoke with Jill in the billing department to make arrangements for payment . Jill was very professional , kind and had great customer skills helping people on the phone . It was a pleasure speaking to her on the phone . It was a great experience for me working with these great staff members of this company . I would like to thank each member of the staff that I was able to work with . I am very happy that I picked Augustine Roofing Company to replace my roof !

Excellent company. Was reffered to by a family member, they didn't knock in my door like other scams. Dakota came and gave me an estimate and pics of everything and explained the damage and helped me file a claim. They then delivered the material as scheduled and came today at 7 am to start the install, took about 4 hours and was excellent and left no mess. The site manager spent most of time here making sure everything is good. Until this point i have not paid them, so very trust worthy, i will ask for completion certificate to get the rest of the amount from the insurance company and pay them. The after drone pictures are amazing.

Replacing the roof shingles was done with speed and efficiency. Woodwork repair below the shingles looks good on the outside but I wonder about the ends of the rafters. As far as I could tell only the first rafter end was replaced. Photos below.

First of all, Augustine Roofing didn't come looking to replace my roof; I went to the GAF site and found a list of recommended roofers in my area and got estimates from several of them. Augustine submitted the most reasonable price without haggling and horsetrading. They explained the various options that were available to me, ensured that all my questions were answered, and submitted a detailed estimate. Other roofers threw out some numbers without details and left me unsure of what I was getting for my money. With Augustine Roofing, my main contact Johnny took time to assure me the work would be done to a high standard, and met the requirements for the shingle manufacturer so any warranty claims would be honored -- not all the companies did that. When you decide you need a roof, I would get multiple estimates, and make sure that Augustine Roofing is one of them. I have recommended them to my neighbors and family.

At the end, they crew cleaned up pretty well and someone else came out to make sure everything was done properly and that they cleaned up nicely. I did find some nails here and there, but that is to be expected. There was no damage to my neighbors. The only suggestion I would make to the company is to take clearer pictures. It was hard to zoom in on the photos that I did get and it would have been nice to get a birds eye view of the completed work. Before and after pictures would have been fantastic to really showcase their job well done to the customer, but I was only given pictures after work was completed.

I recently had Johnny from Augustine Roofing give me a quote for a new roof, gutters, downspouts and gutter covers. He was very thorough in analyzing my needs and tailoring the right products to them. He identified and discussed with me problems with my existing roof and gutter system including some that were the result of the previous installer's errors. The quote he gave me compared favorably to other quotes I had received.

After I agreed to have Augustine do the work, it was scheduled in short order. Everyone I dealt with, throughout the process, was courteous and professional. They all responded to questions and concerns almost immediately either by text or phone.

The right materials were delivered on time the day before the work was scheduled. The installation team, led by RJ, was a well-oiled machine with each person doing their job methodically and in sync with one another. They started at 7am and were finished by 1pm. Communication between Johnny and RJ was excellent as the team got every detail of my requirements right.

I did notice a small problem after all of the work was done and the team had left. When I contacted RJ, he quickly reviewed the problem and scheduled remediation in only two business days. That small remediation was completed on schedule and to my complete satisfaction.

Got five quotes for skylight replacement and Augustine was the best price. They did a great job with the installation. They don’t do any interior work, so I hired House of Color in Fairfax to repair the drywall cracks and paint below the skylights. They did a great job for a great price.

Roofing is not exactly something I know a lot about but so far I am happy with the results. Its been two weeks and a few heavy rains and no leaks.

The roof looks great with the GAF UHDZ shingles. Love the Velux skylights with solar powered shades.

We also had the gutters replaced and upgraded to 6 inch gutters with leaf guard and no more waterfalls during heavy downpours.

Saw a shingle sticking up after the gutter install and Augustine came right out to fix it.

Communication and project management was very good. I loved that they used a drone to take pics during the entire process and shared the pics with me.

I had some trim board. damaged from the hard winter storms. Augustine Roofing came out quickly and assessed the damage. Within the same day my trim board was replaced. The repair technician did an excellent job! I was so impressed.
