M&D has done a couple projects for us now and all of them have been fantastic. The paint and drywall work they have done has been flawless. They did an extremely thorough job fixing all inconsistencies and imperfections in drywall throughout the entire house and it still looks great years later.

They also did a lite remodel of our first floor, removing some built in counters and reflooring everything. They went the extra mile and actually carried the new flooring into a utility closet around a water heater and furnaced where no prior flooring existed.

Its been just about a year since these fellas installed drywall in my house. Ivan was the person in charge. One year later, I am extremely happy with the work they did.

I had gutted my whole first floor and part of the second floor during a major renovation in part because my old drywall was a 50 year old mess.

I am writing this now because just this morning I am thinking how beautiful everything looks. The lines between sheets at the walls and ceilings, around columns, at inside and outside corners, are perfectly sharp and straight which means that the paint I applied later could also look perfect and have sharp edges. I've not seeing any nail or screw pops or any other problems appear since they left.

They were extremely professional, well coordinated, and cordial. Different teams came at various points, overlapping their work in a way that was very efficient with use of their time and in getting the job done quickly. A big team that installed drywall, a small team that taped and mudded, another small team that primed everything. I never got the sense that anyone was just learning their trade (as was the case with some flooring contractors that came later). All the M&D people clearly knew their trade well and worked well together and around each other.

M&D did an outstanding job - exactly what I was hoping for.

Ivan runs a very professional crew with M&D Home Repairs. They heard what our needs and wants were and worked with us the entire time. During the renovation, we had a small family emergency and they were able to accommodate us with delaying construction while we worked on personal matters. We were extremely grateful for their flexibility.

This is the second time hiring Ivan and his crew to do a major reno in my home. This time I gutted and re-did the master bathroom. Ivan and his crew are wonderful. They show up on time and work all day (taking a break only for lunch). They are respectful of my home while they are there. When we ran into some issues (once the walls were opened up, some plumbing needed to be moved), we discussed what the options were as well as what the impact would be on the budget. I would absolutely hire them for more work (and plan to!).

Ivan and the team did a wonderful job remodeling our bathroom. They gutted it completely, installed a new shower, tile, paint, vanity, fixtures. It turned out beautifully. While they were in the house, I asked them to conduct a few additional repairs, which they did perfectly and quickly. They replaced a section of the basement floor and did a few small jobs around the house. I have used M&D three times now and I will call Ivan again when we're ready for our next project. Ivan and the entire M&D team were fantastic. We have worked with many contractors over the years but - hands down - M&D Home Repairs have been the best. We had our kitchen, mudroom and bathroom retiled and new base boards installed, as well as repainting of walls. Every day we understood the work being done that day and everyday they left having cleaned up their work space. That may seem petty but if you are living through a renovation, it is a big deal! Clearly, they are true artisans and take pride in their quality of work.

They provide a very professional service at a good value. My wife and I hired them to change the floors of the house and to remodel the main floor staircase. The change is quite impressive (as shown by the uploaded images). Moreover, they are detail-driven and take their time to go over all different aspects of the remodeling job. We had a hole in our ceiling due to water damage. M&D were able to give us an estimate over the phone using pictures of the damage. They came on time, were professional, and left us with an amazing result. We couldn't believe there was a hole there before! We're looking into using their services in the future. Update: After this review, we hired the team to tackle our closet to convert from a sliding door setup to a French door style, including a frame that wasn't there before. Due to the irregular dimensions of the existing opening (slightly smaller), a standard, pre-built door wouldn't fit, so the team took the steps to make the opening larger. The result this time was a closet that seamlessly fits with the room. You won't regret choosing M&D!

Outstanding workmanship and professionalism! We could not have been happier with the quality of work and their desire to provide the best experience possible. We have a few more remodeling projects and they are the ones that we will be calling to do the work.

Set up an appointment for an estimate telling them the work had to be finished Oct 15. The night before the appointment I was emailed and told they couldn’t do work by Oct 15. If they’d been straight with me from the beginning I would have contacted someone else. I’ve lost a week now. Very poor way to do business.

I really love this company! They have preformed various jobs for us in our home and we couldn't be more pleased with the professionalism and quality of their work. We chose to remove all 80's style textured ceilings from the first floor of our house and have recessed lighting installed. Ivan's initial walk-through was very thorough, and he explained the different techniques that his team could provide to complete the job. His estimate was the lowest of the four that we selected. The quote and his knowledge were the reason that we selected them for the job. Ivan's teams were always clean, on time, polite, and experienced. Ivan was always available for numerous questions and always had the answer. The job looks amazing and we are very pleased with the final product! We hired M&D Home Repairs and Remodeling to remodel our recreational room. The walls and ceilings were a hard stucco like texture painted in a yellow. His crew came and sanded down the texture, applied compound smoothed it out and repainted a new color. Additionally we asked for one of the walls to be made to look like exposed brick.
The end result looks amazing.
The project took a few weeks because of our schedule however Ivan and his team were extremely accommodating and worked around our schedule to make it happen.
Ivan was extremely attentive, text messages and calls were all returned very quickly and he managed the whole project very well.
His crews were also very attentive. We had told him that we wanted the exposed brick to match the exterior of the building to make it look like it was actually part of the structure. Ivan informed us that his crew noticed the bricks we purchased for the project were a different style and would not match those of the building and that the grout may look different as well because of the age. This kind of attention to detail is first class.
The crews that came were respectful and professional they laid out mats and sealed everything during the sanding process. They kept the noise to a minimum and didn't play loud music. They always cleaned up the site and asked permission to leave equipment that they would need the next day.

2023: Once again, we have LOVED working Ivan and his team. They did several big projects for us when we moved into our home - renovating our kitchen, stairway, painting several rooms, bringing back a wall, installing new cabinets and countertops, removing intercoms, and several other projects. Their work is efficient and topnotch. I recommend them highly!

2019: Ivan and his team were fantastic and we will use them again in a heartbeat! From start to finish, they were so easy to work with and the re-finishing of our basement went so smoothly because of them. Will not hesitate to use Ivan and his crew with future work . They worked on my garage drywall ceiling which had fallen off. From the time they started- I was already impressed. All belongings in the garage including the cement flooring were covered and protected with cellophane plastic.

We had some exterior work done on our house; replacing some rotting wood trim and painting as well as a power wash. They were professional, courteous and efficient, and did an excellent job. We would definitely use them again!

We had a corner of the bathroom (drywall, studs, installation) that we had to remove and then reinstall. M&D was easy to contact, set up the estimate, and provide a quote quickly. I was able to customize the quote easily (remove certain items). The quote was competitive. The job was completed in the projected timeline. The workers showed up on time. Recommended! I had a relatively small job I wanted done, some light wall framing and then drywall/mud/primer on the exterior of the wall. I intend to finish most of the remaining work myself because I enjoy it, but will be calling them back for additional drywall/mud/paint on the interior side.

The whole process was quick and easy. There was a short visit to draft up an estimate, and then about 3 days of on-site work. All the workers who came were very polite, did excellent work, and cleaned up when they were done.

A sheet of dry wall fell from my ceiling. I called several companies and received estimates. I went with M&D Home Repairs and glad I did! I recommend these folks!

The estimate was detailed and clear. They came on the agreed to day. They draped everything in plastic and repaired the ceiling. They put screws in on the remainder of the dry wall (It had been nailed in...not the best). They resurfaced it and painted as good as new over 2 days. Before leaving the first night, they cleaned up and I was able to put my cars into the garage that night. They finished the next day and cleaned up all the trash and took it with them. I hardly knew they had been there.

The work was great! The crew was professional and courteous. The phone calls and emails were good...not the best but I think they focus on their work primarily. For your consideration.

I had a basement wall growing mold on it near a sliding door. The first company I got a quote from wanted to replace the entire door and charge me thousands. It seemed weird, so I got a quote from M&D Home Repairs, and they agreed that the leak could be fixed without that expensive repair, charging me only a few hundred dollars to replace part of the wall and seal where water was getting through. It's been several months now and the wall looks great. I don't typically leave reviews, but I was very impressed by their integrity and how professional they were about the whole situation. Would definitely use again!

Ivan's team did a fantastic job repairing drywall in my home after a water leak came through the ceiling in my basement. His quote was very reasonable and his team was able to start the following week. They showed up on schedule, were polite and courteous, and all of the work was completed within two days - including installing the drywall, patching, and then painting everything. I can't even tell where the new pieces of drywall were installed because they were patched so well. They even patched some nail pops and uneven areas elsewhere around the ceiling, which I hadn't expected or requested. His team has done very impressive work on my neighbor's home as well, so I'll definitely be contacting M&D for any future repairs.

I contacted them after work on Friday and got an email response the following day (Saturday) with date availability. Even when a last minute scheduling conflict came up, Ivan and Pilar were flexible and understanding.

The two painters came on time, were respectful, and did a thorough job of cleaning after they were finished painting. They also went through very clearly which walls I wanted painted which color — a feat in itself because we were paintings sloped rooms in a cape cod style house with three different colors, which involved painting the ceiling. M&D Home Repairs fixed our basement drywall and painted. We had a bad water leak back in September. They also fixed our window trim that had water damage. They were on time every single morning. Friendly, knowledgable and very professional. They even installed new light fixtures that we bought to replace the current ones. They went above and beyond. We had a very positive experience with M&D remodeling and expanding our bathroom. We were very pleased with the final look, the workmanship, and their responsiveness to our questions and concerns. M&D did a great job fixing a toilet leak which had damaged the subfloor, replacing the old flooring with tile. They also repainted the whole house, fixed cracking exterior paint, and sealed my deck. The work was through and detailed. They were always available for questions and provided detailed information on what products they were using. Ivan and his team were outstanding! I had them work on my home fixing so many things around the house. I first had a crew come and replace every light fixture in my home. Then they installed 3 ceiling fans in the upstairs rooms. They had to crawl through the attic to run new wire and everything. They worked so hard and were so nice to me. I was very happy.
A week later I called Ivan and he brought a group of men to completely gut my upstairs bathroom and re-do the entire room. They removed the old tile floors, tile shower surround, and ripped out the old plastic tub. I asked if they would meet me at Lowe's so I could pick out what I wanted, then they loaded up my materials in their van, and went to work on my bathroom. The tile looks outstanding, subway tiled walls all the way to the ceiling. New cast iron tub, and new tile floors. I am so happy with the job they did! I am glad I have found M&D repairs for crown molding installation. Ivan was on time to come to my house to give me an estimate and he was on time to meet me to pick crown moldings. He is very responsive answering phone calls and responding to emails. Workers showed up on time and finished the project before the due date which was awesome. I am happy with overall work. We have had M&D do three different interior paint jobs for us, comprising several different rooms and an entire floor of the house. M&D offers a good value for the money with competitive pricing and quality work, but just as important to me as the quality of work is how pleasant it is to have them in my home.
