$25k minimum and 6 month wait

I contacted this company 2 weeks ago about a column repair/redo for my carport and front patio. I sent them photos and set an appointment for someone to come out today. Then last night the guy who was supposed to come out urgently wants to call me. I wasn't sure why it couldn't wait, but got on the phone with him.

Apparently they prefer new builds and are very selective about who they work with. He said for all projects it's a $25k minimum and a 6 month wait for the work after the contract is signed. Nobody mentioned this when I called.

They redid my covered patio.. very professional and were able to pivot when we changed direction mid project. Great work.

Judy and her multiple crews, including roofers, electricians, masons, and gutter specialists, were professional, detailed, and responsive.
We were especially pleased how they cleaned up at the end of each working day.

This project started off on the right foot with meeting Judy (project manager), she set clear expectations from the beginning and always made herself available for our questions. What set Atlanta Porch and Patio apart from other companies? They hold themselves to a higher standard, they build to California building standards and that all starts at the top with the CEO Sol. Sol is invested in each project and came out to see the progress where I got to meet him, and he is a great leader with high standards for his company and his team members. It was mentioned by each inspector, “You know they didn’t have to do this, this is overkill.” Which made me feel better about choosing Atlanta Porch and Patio.
We extended our patio to run the back side of our house and added a 14 x 19 3 season room with vinyl windows. We added 2 skylights and used ply bead for the ceiling and used a clear poly finish. We upgraded the door to be an 8 ft door to match out 8 ft sliding glass doors into the space.
The results turned out amazing and some of the comments from my neighbors, “This room looks like it was built with the house.” We are super happy with the room and the quality of work and again Judy, she was amazing throughout this process and was there every step of the way!! I would HIGHLY recommend Atlanta Porch and Patio. Great Quality, Great Value, Great People, High Standards!

From start to finish, Judy Goldberg managed the metamorphosis of my builder grade 14x16’ deck into a Dream 16 x 20’ Covered ’Deck’ complete with stone fireplace, skylights. *I also installed heaters, fans, and a large flatscreen TV so I could use it year round.

I would highly recommend the privacy wall, tongue and groove ceiling, beautiful PVC wrapped columns, skylights and Cumaru flooring. These really increased the beauty of the project.

There were so many times that I was thankful I chose a professional builder. Atlanta Porch and Patio was very easy to work with and Judy was a dream to work with, keeping me up-to-date on schedules and what to expect. All of the contractors were top notch.
This project has added a whole new living space to my home and I look forward to spending many game days, morning coffee and evening nightcaps in my new sanctuary.

We live in Alpharetta and are just wrapping up construction on our outdoor covered porch with Atlanta Porch and Patio. I could not be happier. It is even better than I imagined it would be! The space is beautiful. It is so warm and inviting that we want to be out there all the time. The construction is solid, build to standards that are even more rigorous than required by Georgia. Their finishing touches make the difference. The wood for the flooring and handrails is made of Cumaru, a Brazilian hardwood, that is laid at an angle and is absolutely stunning! The stonework on the fireplace is amazing, built by very skilled masons. Our Project Manager, Judy, is very responsive and easy to work with. She helped us to design the space to fit our needs, and coordinated all the many workers and supplies that were required: building materials, fireplace, painters, roofing, stonework, gutters, etc. The project did get off to a late start initially and we had a few delays due to weather and holidays, but it was well worth the wait. Judy, Sol, and their team are very professional and provide such quality work. I highly recommend them!

David and his team did a beautiful job constructing our screened in deck with vinyl windows. We are so grateful for his beautiful design and willingness to work with our own particular desires for the deck we've been dreaming of. It was so wonderful how they were able to manage all the parts despite the tricky small driveway. The front office also was also a gem to work with as they always would check up on project updates and keep me in the loop regarding permits. I would recommend this company to others looking to have a well-made deck that is of sound construction and beautiful design.

Judy took our input and designed a porch that is exactly what we wanted while staying in our budget. They were backlogged a few months but once the team started they completed the work quickly and built a beautiful porch. Judy was very responsive to our questions and the owner Sol even came out to clean up some leftover scraps. This photo is before paint and while it is raining but will give you an idea what the cumaru decking looks like.

We had a great experience with atlanta porch and patio! They demo'd our sad small deck, handled all permitting, and built a beautiful covered/screened-in porch as well as a grilling deck with composite wood. They also installed underdecking underneath that looks amazing!

Working with David and the APP team was a good experience. As home project newbies, they stepped us through everything. No home project is without hiccups, but they were minimal compared to stories I've heard! Anytime there were questions or delays, the communication was great. They advised on layout, design, and all the contractors they recommended for prep or brought in were professional. The work quality was terrific and it's a showpiece room in our home! We did a large sunroom with patio and couldn't be happier!

Atlanta Porch and Patio just concluded construction on our beautiful new front porch. We are so pleased with how it turned out and each crew involved was so meticulous, you can tell the quality is above and beyond! They worked well within our very particular city permitting process, and we also needed to use permeable pavers for our walkway, which looks incredible.
The only downside for us was the lead time. They are in demand (and rightly so!), and supply chain issues probably played a role, so we had to wait 10-11 months before they could start. But it was well worth the wait!

My wife and I had a back patio that was basically unusable, and a small porch on the front that was separating from the house. We worked with David from Atlanta Porch & Patio to give our house a new outdoor look. We started this project during covid when there were supply issues, but I would have never known it based on the work we did with Atlanta Porch & Patio. We never saw a jump in price from our quote other than upgrades we asked for throughout the project. Anytime we saw things that didn't quite line up with our expectations during the project, they were extremely receptive to feedback and quickly course corrected. Overall, Sol, David, and everyone I interacted with during the work were amazing people and I'd happily work with them again on things in the future! We couldn't be happier with our new fourseason porch, patio, deck, and retaining wall!

Atlanta porch and patio knows what they are doing. I have thoroughly enjoyed myself relaxing in an open porch with a built-in bluestone fireplace built by these guys. They did a great job with a paver patio outside the porch. If you live anywhere in Atlanta, especially in the north Atlanta area, call them. These guys are your one stop shop. Totally high-end.

Atlanta Porch and Patio just finished a complete rebuild of our original builder-grade deck. They added a beautiful screened porch off our kitchen with a stone patio/outdoor kitchen beneath. Sol and his team made us feel at ease through the entire process, and the few problems that arose were taken care of immediately. Not only were they the most cost effective of the quotes we received, but the quality of their work is top notch. We repeatedly had inspectors tell us how good their workmanship was and that they were going above code requirements. I would use them again in a second.

Atlanta Porch and Patio renovated our Roswell home. They did work on our deck, they redid our hardwoods throughout the house, they redid the railing on our stairs. They also redid our fireplace and gave us some beautiful marble surrounding it. Not to mention they redid electrical work throughout the house. We are looking forward to them completely renovating our outdoor decks and patios in the future.

AP&P demo’d our dated solarium, repaired and painted the house and installed a beautiful stone patio. We are so thankful for their punctuality, fair price and professional manner. We have zero complaints and highly recommended this company.

My wife and I hired Atlanta Porch and Patio to re-do our deck, which was falling apart and install a patio over a portion of the deck. After talking with other contractors, we didn't think the patio would be within our budget, but Atlanta Porch and Patio made it work - and it turned out even better than I thought it would. While the process took a bit longer than I think we and they would have liked (scheduling things is incredibly tough nowadays), I was happy with their responsiveness and the guidance they provided. In the few instances there were problems, which were pretty minor, Sol would have them corrected immediate - with never any pushback. If I had to do it over again, I would re-hire AP&P in a sec.

From the very beginning to the very end of the whole process I felt like I was being heard and my needs addressed. Communication was open and I always knew where in the process everything stood. Every person I interacted with was genuine, nice, and very helpful. During construction, the owner was very hands on helping provide insight and suggestions to ensure we would be happy with the end result.

And on top of all that, they do tremendous work! We love our deck and our only regret is that we didn’t do it sooner. If we could do it all over again, or if I ever have another decking project, I will not hesitate to use Atlanta Porch & Patio!

Sol and his team created an amazing outdoor kitchen, bar, covered patio and pergola in our backyard. They took our basic ideas and consulted on how we could maximize the functionality of the space. Atlanta Porch & Patio did a fantastic job building our 2 level screened porch. Work was professional and high quality. The project did take quite a while to complete but it was quite extensive and most contractors are overloaded right now with projects.

We had such a great experience with Atlanta Porch and Patio building our screened-in-porch. After starting out this project with two other companies, we switched to them and could not be happier. Sol, the owner, personally handled our project and was excellent. He was easy to communicate with, he checked in every step of the way, and even came out to our house at least once a week to talk with us and check on the progress. The building crew was very professional and easy to work with. Victor made sure every thing was top quality and even came out on weekends if something needed to be done. The project was completed within the given time frame and the crew cleaned everything up for us. After struggling with other companies, Atlanta Porch and Patio was a godsend and we couldn’t be more thrilled with our new porch. 10/10 recommend.

They exceeded our expectations by adding features to the project that were not included in our original contract. The communication was excellent as well by keeping us up to date as far as deliveries of materials and when to expect contractors to arrive at our home.

Like some reviewers I also had a bad experience with the landscaper reviewer David. He came by to give me a quote but seemed pretty sarcastic and also couldn’t remember my name but could remember my husband‘s name. Then he made a comment that my husband was supposed to be there if we were going to make decisions but the way he said it was really weird like I needed his permission or something. He also quoted me way way way above any other landscaper or deck company. It wasn’t even close. So based on my interaction I would say avoid.

I selected Atlanta Porch & Patio after soliciting quotes from 3 contractors. The cost and project descriptions were the most detailed. The project encountered supply change issues which slowed completion. However, the outcome is a gorgeous patio and a stoop with synthetic decking and steps.

Do NOT recommend. Got a quote on a large sunroom project.
Measurements went well and next steps to get started were confirmed. Then no show, no call. I tried relentlessly to follow up to get service. The company never called me back. Overall communication was absolutely terrible and unprofessional. Very disappointed I'm this service especially considering a colleague of mine recommended it.

The team at Atlanta Porch and Patio did a terrific job transforming my little backyard with a crumbling wooden deck into a private oasis with a cute patio. The crew teams were great. They arrived on time or early every day. They were experienced, professional, respectful, diligent, and worked hard to get the job done in the timeframe discussed. Do Not Use This Company if you desire professionalism, follow through or project management. Chris the designer makes tons of promises about project management, communication and oversight but never follows through after the project begins. He has never even seen the final product or done a final walk through. Every issue with our project was directly associated with lack of supervision.. Their hard-scrape contractors are very capable but every mistake and issue was the lack communication with them. Their hardscape crews are contractors not employees. Please read all the reviews before you hire this company and you will see this consistent theme of lack of communication. This is a company that also lacks professionalism and respect for its customers and this culture is clearly demonstrated to its employees by its owner Sol. I would recommend you avoid this company and save yourself the frustration. A good design does not make up for lack of proper execution and communication.

Chris tried to pretend that our appointment was a phone appointment for an estimate, which is not what I was told when I booked the appointment OR when I called 30 minutes prior to his arrival and his office said he was still coming. He wanted to “talk me through” the estimate by asking the dimensions etc that obviously I can’t answer. Easy enough to eliminate this company for its unprofessionalism. Would not recommend this company at all.

We had an excellent experience with Chris from Atlanta Porch and Patio. He was responsive, easy to get in touch with, and showed up on time. He answered all of our questions, but was never pushy. We ended up not using Atlanta Porch and Patio, but for no reason having to do with the company. I would have felt comfortable, confident and excited to work with Chris. Their work looks beautiful in photos. I hope to have the chance to work with them one day, or to be able to refer a friend.

Chris and the team at Atlanta Porch and Patio did a fantastic job of my deck replacement! Everything in the process was clear and laid out and executed efficiently and professionally. I was able to have my deck extended as well as built with higher quality standards than it was originally built. I am sure this deck will last for many years to come!

Six months after completion of my deck the company will not respond to emails, texts or phone calls to discuss a few issues. Given the overall project the issues seem minor and easily corrected. The company acknowledged the issues after completion of the project but has refused to respond to my requests regarding a resolution even though they told me “we’ll be here for you” {after the project}. Lack of communication was an issue throughout the project.

We recently completed the addition of an enclosed Porch replacing our back deck with a custom designed reconstruction by Atlanta Porch & Patio (“AP&P”). Our screened in enclosed porch looks fantastic and has added an entire living space to our home. From the first meeting with Sol of Atlanta Porch and Patio, we were convinced that this was the contractor we wanted to engage on our project. Our deck was over 20 years old and adding the roofing and screening was going to add significant weight to the structure. A new foundation was likely necessary but only AP&P paid attention and focused on it from the beginning. This helped us to be certain that we knew there would be no surprises and the structure would be built to stand the test of time. We also knew from our discussions that AP&P would pay attention to every necessary detail of integrating the new strcuture to our existing stucco exterior and not cut any corners. Beyond this, the team at AP&P were highly collaborative with us in the design and details of the construction, materials, and finishes. Making many positive recommendations and suggestions to us as they responded to our vision of what we desired. And, throughout the construction process, AP&P brought in great subcontractors, and paid attention to every detail. They would point out things that they thought did not meet their standards or ours and owned it, fixed it, and made sure it met expectations. We could not be more pleased with the results. Atlanta Porch & Patio is our recommendation to anyone and everyone. No surprises, on budget, excellent work, and thoughtful at every step. That’s a 5 out of 5.

Sol and his crew were so enjoyable to work with. I thought I had an idea of what I wanted, but they creatively came up with a much better plan -- two levels with the upper level screened in. They helped me work with the county to secure a variance given our proximity to a creek. Their communication was excellent from start to finish, and their respect for me and my property was greatly appreciated. The end product is amazing -- fantastic detail work. We could not be happier. The entire process greatly exceeded my expectations.

The screened porch they built for us is fantastic. It's now our favorite room and the quality of the work is great. We especially love the sliding lightweight windows that keep out the pollen and the rain, but are easily opened to let in fresh air. We had a couple of small issues along the way, but they were addressed promptly. I have already recommended Atlanta Porch and Patio to others. If you need a new deck or screened porch, give them a call.

This company did good work, but their were different worker each day that did not speak english. The side of my house smelled like urine and they did not clean very well. bottles and cups were left in the construction area through out the project. lastly, they charged and ordered extra product which is appropriate, but they take all overage and returned them and dp not give you any cost back...

Unfortunately, I had a very bad experience with Atlanta Porch and Patio. They only offer consultations on weekdays, so I took a day off work to meet the rep at my home. The consultation visit took nearly an hour and the rep discussed different ideas and options with me (he was very knowledgeable).
However, when I then tried to follow up to get a quote, things went downhill. I had a follow up phone call with the rep and he promised sketches and a quote within 48 hours. Two weeks later, I have no response despite calling him and emailing him several times. I also called and emailed the company's main phone number / email, and they promised a response by end of day. No such luck.
It has now been over a month and no one will get back to me. This is terrible customer service - they wasted my time, made me take a day off work, and never gave me the quote that I was promised.

Given how unreliable they are and how they have no regard for a customer's time, I would not trust them with a project. If you do decide to work with them, proceed with caution - I suspect the unreliability won't just be in the consultation / quote stage. Very disappointing.

Had a screened in porch and patio built last fall. It took them 3 months to finish because we were a “small job.” The stone walls and the fire pit top have cracks in it already. I have contacted them to come fix and it has been over 2 weeks and I have heard nothing from them. So extremely disappointed in this company. We spent a lot of money on our project and the quality of construction is very poor for there to be cracks already. The edging around my paved patio is a mess and I have hundreds of small rocks in my yard as a result of them not fully cleaning up the job site. Would not recommend them to anyone because of the poor quality of work and the lack of communication and follow through.

We worked with Chris Hamby at Atlanta Porch and Patio for several weeks. During that time he provided us a line-by-line quote that met our exact specifications in addition to some "optional" work, followed up numerous times to ask how our process was coming along, and wrote us a kind note when we ended up choosing another company. Our choice was based on an existing working relationship with another company, not because we were unsatisfied with the professionalism, price, or workmanship of Atlanta Porch and Patio.

We wanted a simple porch design for our family to finally get that ideal outdoor space to spread out and create long lasting memories. Our design consultant was attentive and listened to the main reasons for why we wanted to use this space. He also added his own beautiful and creative ideas on how to maximize the deck for our family. Atlanta Porch & Patio was helpful and honest about what ideas would and wouldn't work based on our budget which is one of the main reasons we went with this company compared to their competitors. We have had our porch for three months now and it has become the focal point of our house. Our design consultant still calls to check in and see how we are enjoying our new outdoor space, which makes it all the more apparent that this company has genuine care for their customers. This company has exceeded all of our expectations in terms of quality of service as well as attention to detail and craftsmanship. I highly recommend this company, we just absolutely love our porch!

Horrible. They came out to review my job and seemed to be very interested. It took a couple of hours to go over; it is a very large site. The rep never got back to me, didn't answer emails or return calls. When I finally got a hold of him, he said sketches were on the way. Nothing. It's like he fell of the face of the Earth. When you call the main number it just rings and rings and rings... I would avoid at all costs.

Outstanding results. The deck finish and expert detailing rivals fine furniture. Everyone who has seen it has been greatly impressed. Brazilian hardwood is the very best decking I've ever seen.
