The instructors were great and material covered was beneficial. I would have liked to see all the instructors faces at some point during their presentations. Being at the north salt lake class I may have felt more engaged looking at more then the power point

I attended a continuing education class and it was very well organized. The guest speakers and ABC staff were super helpful and well informed. Would highly recommend!

I've done continuing education course for the past 6 years and today's was by far the best! It wasn't boring, very educational, covered topics of great interest to me and my business and was helpful in strategic ways to make Sapien Handymen LLC more visible.

Louie with marketing is brilliant.
Cory covering insurance was thorough.
Sharece Roose the organizer was quick to answer private questions and helpful in getting additional information.
I don't recall the HR instructor's name but, wow, he was great. He offered a 1 on 1 private conversation if we had questions or concerns about our current situations.

I will definitely be using ABC Utah for my future educational credits.

Louie is an excellent instructor. I don't know how he has the ability to keep people awake better than other instructors, but he sure does. He has a talent for making the boring stuff more interesting.

It was a great class the instructors are articulate and presented themselves well. Answered all questions with respect (some were strange) with good knowledgeable answers.
After the class was over and I had follow up questions and they were always available.
Its worth the week.....

Really good information. I feel that the accountant should have teach a bit more about the tax write offs like the one that was giving the classes about 6 years ago. Checks and balances I feel that is a bit more common sense for running a business so it should be already some what in contractors heads. But the write offs I feel help a lot more specifically at the beginning since we have to invest into tools and equipment and all promotional materials, and marketing. So teaching us about percentages of deductions I feel it would help us more in effectively invest in our business.

I have taken classes here twice and both times they were outstanding. A lot of knowledge was given to us.

If your looking to get a contractors license or just want to increase your knowledge of the industry ABC is the place to go. The class louie teaches is awesome, he is great at answering question and gives real life examples of how the knowledge in the class can help prepare you for real life situation. I highly recommend ABC and louie.

Using ABC for my continuing ed was so easy and reliable. I loved being able to zoom the class. The classes were very informative and engaging. I have used ABC for the last 4 years and will continue to use them in the future.

I called about some CE classes. Sharece was extremely helpful and professional. She really took her time to look in to my issue.

The class was very informational and I was prepared to take and pass the state test when it was done.

Louie did an excellent job with the training and brought in some great guests for some further training. The course provided a lot of insight and good tips in preparing and running a business. I highly recommend these guys!

It was a really good experience for me. I had a great time and felt like I learned a lot. The only thing would be to have changed was more days of class.

I love the class as they fully explain every angle in the business world. They went in to full details on how to manage your business when becoming a new business owner. All the laws in the state and what you can do and what you cannot do while going out to the field. I got a better understanding on how to start my own business and what i need to over come to become successful. Also they lay out what to expect when being a licensed contractor from accounting to lawsuits to laws and other benefits that can help me grow. I recommend this class 100% percent to those wanting to be a licensed contractor. Our contractor Louie Tafoya is very good at his job, he takes the time to explain and help with anything that you don’t understand very good conductor he is very helpful and very responsive with questions.

Enjoyable and interactive class. My only difficulty was the technical/logistics aspect of teachers/speakers and other classes/students at different locations all simultaneously participating as I was following along in the NASCLA contractors guide(Utah 4th Ed). I thought Louie was invested in making sure all participants questions were addressed and concerns were discussed.

Louie at ABC was the best! Even with my challenging schedule they went above and beyond to ensure I was prepared to pass the exam. Thanks to Louie and the ABC Team for a great experience!

This year's emerging leaders course was an effective tool for me. It showed great insights into the business side of construction and I think it will be an asset for me in my role.

ABC is an amazing company to work with and be a part of! I attended their Emerging Leaders course in 2023 and thoroughly enjoyed it. I was able to develop not only my leadership skills, but my construction knowledge as well n

Good place I only wish they had more information on the prices for bidding in your specific trade besides that overall it’s a good foundation on how to do things the right way.

ABC put on an amazing 25/30Hr per-license course. I would highly recommend them if you are looking to get your contracting or subcontractor license. They were very knowledgeable and wiling to answer any questions that you may have. If they didn't know the answer right off hand they found the answer quickly and help you along.

Hi Louie, thanks for the opportunity to evaluate the course. First of all, I think the 25-hour course has great information and the book is a very helpful resource. However, some little improvements could be done:

1. Audio of speakers (broadcasting from other facilities/sites).
2. It would be very useful to have printed copies of the material missing on the book. It would have saved me/us a lot of time taking pictures of the material. Sometimes speakers were passing slides very fast. Also, at least in my case, I am still attaching pictures in my emails to myself, then downloading and then pasting them on a Word document. It is energy draining!
3. It will be better if/when all the speakers, both on site and other sites, rephrase the questions, so we understand the answers.

Great place to take course for contracting. You can tell Louie and ABC really want you to succeed and they do everything possible to show you the ropes and help you pass test and be confident in business. Thanks!

Louie was a great instructor. Class setting was nice and enjoyable. Would want an option for online for out of state business and a more formal practice test. But passed my exam and found it very helpful with Louie and ABC. Thanks!

At first I was just intrigued with the class, and then I became confident as we were learning everything and talking and asking questions. I took the test on Friday for the B-100, and passed with flying colors. It was a difficult test for sure, but everything Louie touched base one was vital for taking the test. Lien laws, Insurance, some but not many on licensing, and a bunch about project and contract management. Thank you for helping me succeed in the test!!!

ABC prepared me well to both pass the business law exam and to enter the field as a general contractor. Louie is a truly great teacher and knows the material very well. Class was enjoyable and the test prep 4th day was really fun and competitive. Louie respects the clock and ensured that we didn't have a bunch of wasted time during the 4 days, despite technical difficulties. Also, the guest speakers added a great deal to the education. Louie was amazing, I would recommend going through Associate Builders for your classes, questions were answered and a lot of good input was giving.

This class was a game changer for me to not only get licensed as a general contractor, but also gain so much insight on business logistics, mindset, business duplication, as well as networking with other contractors and essential business management connections

Awesome in every way. Between the way the instructor teaches the class, the PowerPoints, and the presenters I couldn't have asked for a better experience. Louie is incredibly knowledgeable, helpful, and extremely good at what he does. ABC is definitely where you want to take this class.

It was like taking 50 pounds of information and stuffing it into a 5 pound sack. Good job, I passed the first time.

I was able to take the pre-license course with ABC and it was a good experience. The presenters were great and Louie was extremely helpful. You can tell everyone really wanted to help and make sure you have all the tools to succeed in your business.

ABC is a standup organization who uses values and morals to guide themselves through the ventures of business. I have seen first-hand the willingness to serve the community that ABC puts forth.

The ABC of Utah adds amazing value for it's members! I have partnered with the ABC for 4 years now. They offer a tremendous amount of programs for their members. An added bonus is that everyone is so fun to be around and they have great events. If you are considering joining the ABC I would strongly recommend it.

I have been a proud member of the ABC for over 15 years. The ABC of Utah is an incredible organization with wonderful leadership and fantastic members. The value of ABC is worth its weight in gold with legislative action, member development, education and networking. I highly recommend the ABC of Utah and the ABC team!!!!

At about 5:30 PM on 10/21/2021, I was almost rear ended by an ABC driver on westbound 201. It appeared to me as they were swerving through traffic. Before I was almost rear ended, the driver was honking and trying to get into the exit only lane to my right. Barely got over in time. The driver then proceeded to narrowly miss hitting other cars changing lanes out of the exit only lane. The passenger of the vehicle then made a heart sign at me with his hands as I passed them taking the exit. Very dangerous, wouldn’t recommend a company with drivers so wreckless.

The Utah chapter of ABC is unmatched in quality - Tresa Folkman is an excellent leader, and engaging with this company is endlessly rewarding.
