An Exterior

4 star. The staffs who showed up was professional and job well done. The price seemed a bit steep since the initial installation was done by the company including the roof. Believe warranty just expired for the 4 new bolts on the shutter.

Called for an appointment and got answering service. I did receive a call back and scheduled an appointment for an estimate on gutter replacement. The technician was a no show and when I called the company they had no record of the appointment being made. Wasted a day sitting around, waiting for them.

The estimate guys showed up roughly on time. They were polite. I told them what I told the receptionist when I made the appointment - I wanted an estimate of the gutters, to take a look at the roof and let me know if they see something so that I may get an estimate on that as well, and to go up in the attic and look around. I have a rafter up there that I believe needs to be braced/replaced/sistered.

They do the outside fine. Come time to go up in the attic, they said they have no ladder to use to get up there. I can see the van, it has ladders of different sizes on it... I offer my ladder. He says it's not necessary, that they'll send me an estimate for the rafter. I tell him that I wanted them to look around and check everything out to see if I need to fix anything (and if so, give me an estimate) or if it still looks pretty good up there. He refuses, gets in his van, and leaves.

I call the office. I speak to the receptionist there and tell her that I am not satisfied with the level of service I received and would like to speak to someone about it. She has zero idea who I should talk to. I recommend a supervisor or manager, someone who could resolve the matter, and/or re-educate the tech on the proper company policies, etc. The supervisor then tells me that he will call the tech and talk to him the next day, and will call me back to let me know what's going on.

That was two (almost three) weeks ago. Still waiting on the call back. On the bright side, I did finally get my estimate three days ago.

Find someone else. If they are this bad with an estimate, I do not want them working on my home.

Excellent work on replacing my roof. Matt Kim worked to quickly provide a reasonable estimate and was always available when we called. Everyone was very punctual and most importantly An Exterior delivered a new roof on the exact day we agreed upon. Due to COVID-19, Matt and his crew kept their distance and did an EXCELLENT job on cleaning up all the debris. I highly recommend An Exterior and look forward to using them again in the future for other projects.

Anthony was very responsive with initial quote and follow-ups; his crew was very quick and efficient with the install, and they cleaned up afterwards. Would definitely use them again for any future siding projects, and highly recommend them

In 2018 I had a roof replaced by AN Exterior the work was fine but there was some issues with them only conducting business over the telephone and refusing to put work in writing. Additionally that backed the trailer into my house which caused some damage to the house and landscaping and wouldn’t acknowledge this when placed in email they only came and removed the paint from the house that was placed by the trailer without acknowledging. I should have stopped there but it is family owned and I gave a little bit of slack based on that; in 2019 I tried to have trim replaced that was damaged due to a wind storm. Horrible experience Pavel Omar is perhaps the worst project manager I have ever dealt with. He would never return my phone calls when he said he would and it was having to keep calling over the course of 2 months. The work was never complete and I finally canceled the work. I will never do business with this company again.

Did a good job fixing a leaky bay window roof. Quote they gave to fix the interior drywall etc. felt a little high though.

An roofing replaced my roof in Spring 2016. They did a great job; Matt Kim came over and provided a bid and was quite professional. It took a little work coordinating meeting times as the job had some complexities, but the office people were professional. This is a family owned business, and they take pride in their work. The crew came and did the job in one day; we had good feedback on when they were going to show up because the weather interfered and they had to reschedule. There was nearly zero litter when they left. They were also the lowest price of the four bids I got. One company I got a bid from (WTOP advertised) had a cool salesman but was nearly TRIPLE the price. It pays to shop around. I'm a picky customer and will always call An Exterior for roofing or siding jobs while I live here in the NoVA area.

I had a vinyl siding repair by An 5 years ago. Then 13 months ago had them replace the vinyl with Hardie Plank and replace our roof following wind damage. This post weekend brought high winds and a piece of the Hardie plank came off. My husband called An expecting an argument since it was over a year but they just said they'd be by. They came and repaired it without any problem. They were professional, curteous, and never left a mess.
