American Custom Contractors was a great company to work with on another roof project after using them in the past. They always have come in with the lowest prices when I get bids, and their professionalism and expertise all the way through the project was so appreciated. They did great work on a full roof replacement, including coordinating a complicated replacement of an old, rusty HVAC pipe that was installed incorrectly previously. They are always extremely easy to work with and go above and beyond to provide good service. Working with Mike and Blase all the way through was very easy, and Douglas went above and beyond to finish the project quickly once the pipe was installed. Highly recommend using them!

Wow. I've never worked with such a professional and transparent contracting company! Our sales consultant, Menoa was extremely professional, knowledgeable and prompt. He came in and assessed the issues we were having with our gutters and broke down what was needed, step by step. He really made it a very seamless process. Recently a consultant from American Custom Contractors inspected our roof in Easton, MD. The consultant Yanni had called on several homes in our neighborhood after a severe hail storm. Several residences experienced damage. Fortunately our roof presented no damage. Yanni took pictures plus gave us a professional summary of what he was looking for and therefore suggested no repairs were necessary.

I had the distinct pleasure of speaking with Yanni at American Custom Contractos. Let's just say that some folks from our neighborhood filed claims for wind and hail damage from a storm that happen over a year ago or more recently within this year. I wouldn't know what to look for and just in case, I called up Yanni based on a neighbor's recommendation. Yanni asked some general questions, to which I answered. Yanni has been to my neighborhood on more than one occasion and assessed that most damage to our roofs was from normal wear and tear. I was impressed with his candid honesty. Our community was built in 2003, a little over 20 years ago. Are some roofs in need of repair? Yes. Should we file a claim with our insurance company (mine is USAA)? Only if it is legitimate. Otherwise it ends up being fraud and that's not good for USAA, not good for insured because it affects our rates, and not good for American Custom Contractors. Yanni is IMHO, a man of integrity and that makes we want to use the company that he works for when I am ready to replace my roof, even out of my pocket book. To look at it from another perspective, if Yanni has that kind of integrity to tell me like it is, I trust that he will give me an honest and fair price. Thank you for setting the standard Yanni. From David, who I had a great initial contact with, to Yanni who happily did the inspection on my roof it was a pleasure dealing with American Custom Contractors. Although my roof, after inspection, didn’t need replacement yet I will certainly call American Custom Contractors when replacement time comes.

We hired American Custom Contractors to replace the siding in 2021. They were on schedule and professional. Fast forward to July 2025. We had a problem with the exterior mount block coming apart and reached out to them. Joel set a timely appointment and said they'd solve the problem under the five year warranty. Elder Fuentes solved the problem and went the extra mile to replace the mounting blocks with custom blocks I had purchased. He added "let me caulk the edges to make sure rain wouldn't get behind the block." It's his attention to detail that makes the difference between mediocrity and a job well done.

A friend referred me to Brad Colliflower for window and siding replacement. Brad came out and worked with us on a quote that was about almost half less than another competitor. Measurements were taken and about six weeks later an appointment was set up to have 12 windows and a large bow window replaced. The job was completed in just one and a half days And we couldn’t be more pleased with the final result. The windows are very high-quality triple pain, and they look amazing inside and out. Looking forward to a much less costing electric bill this winter and the rest of the summer. Everyone we dealt with has been professional and courteous, and we would highly recommend their services to anyone in the market for new windows.

Everything went smoothly and just as Brad said it would, getting the job fully covered by my insurance. You can trust that he is going to do the right thing for his clients. What a terrible experience and thank god I'm not using you for my siding. You sent out a guy to give me a quote and 2 hours later he made a video that basically was what I would present to new employees talking about the company and how they have been around for 50 years, how transparent they are and to lock in the price now. On top of that you send out a guy who's training with his own truck? No wonder you charge that much for everything. The trainee is shaking his head yes to everything the other guy is saying but yet we barely discussed the siding, it was more just chest puffing about the company the whole time. The actual worst part was the guy kept telling us how unfinished and bad our house looked. Also completely said the dumbest thing ever in that he was going to cap off our ventilation to the house, what? I was seconds away from telling him to just leave. You all obviously work with a lot of rich DC people. Maybe you should just stick to that community. Waste of time...

American custom contractors replaced my roof in 2018 and I was really pleased with the work. I recommended them to my best friend and cousin and they replaced their roofs as well and they were very pleased. After the hail storm last summer that hit the Poolesville/Boyds area really bad, I immediately hit up my sales rep from 2018, Mike, who was very responsive as he always has been. Mike came by, assessed the damage, and dealt with the insurance reps. After approval for my roof replacement, complete gutter replacement, fascia board replacement, and the cedar shake on an exterior building, Mike came back by with I believe his operations manager, Frank. Together we walked around the house to assess what all we wanted done, picked colors for singles on the house, cedar shake, and gutters for both structures. They were both very informative and understanding. I recommended that they speak to my neighbor and they replaced his shingles and gutters as well prior to mine getting done due to cedar shake taking a while in certain colors, and he was extremely happy with the job. When it was time for my job to start I met with the project manager, Belter, who walked thru everything with me one last time before starting to make sure my expectations were being met. Belter was additionally here the majority of the 4 days making sure each day to come get me prior to leaving to look things over and explain next steps. I believe the job was broken up into 3 1/2 to four days. The crew was great. They protected everything as best they could and when mistakes or accidents occurred, they immediately brought it to my attention and fixed it. In one instance, Belter went out of his way to head to home depot to replace a banister cap that had been broken from the huge gusts of wind knocking down their gear. All in all, I'm extremely happy with the job and the house looks great. They completed projects that I had been dreading and putting off for years. They were quick to fix any small things I pointed out regarding the new boards under the gutters or fascia board installed. They were very detail oriented, respectful, understanding, and most importantly, trustworthy. I would recommend them to family and friends, and I would call them again if I needed additional work done.

My experience with American Custom Contractors has been completely positive! All interactions I had with the ACC team (Yanni, Alex, Victor, and the crew) were helpful and considerate. I would never have known we even had hail damage from a recent storm if Yanni hadn't introduced himself while I was out walking. My husband and I were very hesitant to commit to filing a claim for a new room, but Yanni walked us through the whole process of the insurance claim and even went up on the roof with the insurance inspector to point out what he saw.

Once we were confirmed for not only a new roof, but new gutters and screens as well, we met Alex, our project manager. He made sure that we were ready for the crew to arrive. The crew was fabulous. We couldn't believe how fast they worked and how meticulous they were in cleaning up after they were done!

After the job was done, both Alex and Victor stopped by to make sure that we were happy with the job (which we completely are!).

On Saturday night, April 19, 2025, we sustained a terrible storm. Trees had snapped and property was damaged and destroyed. I called American Custom Contractors to evaluate the roof to my home. Yani arrived a few days after the storm, and performed what I thought to believe a thorough evaluation. I was informed, I lost one shingle. To my astonishment and surprise, he replaced the one shingle and informed me , I did not need a new roof at this time. Again, I was shocked by this honesty.

We got our new roof installed by American Custom Contractors. When Brad Colliflower from American Custom Contractors knocked on our door asking if he could inspect our roof, we were not even aware that we were missing tons of shingles and were in dire need of a roof replacement. My #1 go to company for anything roofing related. There was a leak on my ceiling and I called American Custom Contractors, Douglas and Belter came out to my house and within 30minutes they located the leak coming from an HVAC pipe in the attic. I’m so relieved because I finally know exactly what to do to fix this problem! Douglas and Belter were available, arrived early, they were professional, and even educated me on what the HVAC people need to do to fix the leak not even related to the roof. American Custom Contractors provided a full roof replacement on our aging roof in a timely and professional manner. Brad Colliflower walked us through the process from pricing to shingle type, pricing and scheduling. Blase Skully coordinated the arrival of materials and the crew, and then completed an inspection to confirm quality standards were met, providing verbal feedback and pictures to validate completion of the project. Brad followed up on any questions we had during the process. We would recommend them to friends.

Working with Brad Colliflower to get our new roof was so much better, easier, and enjoyable than our experiences with previous home repair contractors. Brad has the most remarkable skill of being both completely professional and personally friendly at the same time. He was clear in his explanations, he had done his research on what we needed, and he had no fear of getting on our roof and explaining the details of the damage that he found.

Some of his specific, outstanding qualities:
1. His professional instincts: Brad knew, instinctively, when to push to keep us on track (with follow-up texts or calls) with what we needed to do, and when to give us time and space to think about what we wanted for our roof.
2. His astounding competence: Within an hour, we had complete assurance that Brad could manage the job for us, help us sift through the insurance issues, and choose the appropriate materials for the job. In fact, he was so competent and so good at follow-through and closure that we asked if he would help us with our Medicare applications! His follow-through: Brad followed through on every promise he made, he responded promptly to our questions, and he helped us figure out why our insurance company appeared to have closed our case prematurely. He has been with us every step of the way, and that has made all the difference. To us, this is like a miracle – and very much appreciated!

His clear explanations: Brad had a way of explaining things with supportive pictures (clear, detailed, and informative), and he provided suggestions on how to mitigate problems before they could become big problems. He encouraged us with ways to go forward that made sense, giving us options without pushing us beyond our comfort level. His suggestions were presented in a way that informed and allowed a range of alternative solutions.
