Jack runs a tight ship! I needed a new roof because of multiple small leaks starting in several places and Welsh was well recommended in Checkbook.org so I got a quote from them. Mike was on time for the appt to inspect so they could provide a quote - he asked good questions and listened to my answers.

The quote was competitive and I wanted to give the business to a local company (Olney/Sandy Spring).

On the work day, the crews were here on time and it was organised: Workers were busy getting tarps spread around the yard and a sheet of plywood laid against a picture window just to make sure no debris hit it. In just one day, they did a tearoff, laid a layer of sheathing, and finished the shingles, flashing, and a small bit of siding.

It looks great and we had a downdraft just a week later with no leaks and no missing shingles. Jack even called (on a Saturday) to check in with me.

Two months ago Welsh replaced our 35 year old roof with beautiful architectural shingles in a single day. Their price was competitive, and they were a dream to work with, Jack Welsh was here with his crew the entire time, and they left NO trash. Before leaving, they went over the area twice with a huge magnet to catch the tiniest nails that might have fallen. We've had nothing but compliments on the beautiful roof and couldn't recommend Welsh more highly.

Quality work! Had my Roof, Garage, Firewood Shed and Shed stripped down by noon and had the new roof installed by mid afternoon! Truly a well organized team and excellent post work clean up. Not a single nail was ever found after the work completed.

Welsh Roofing Company was kind enough to send Mike to look at a roof leak three days before Christmas when no other company was available. I’m so glad they were the ones who ended up responding, as Mike was prompt, professional, and straightforward. I would definitely use this company again if the need arises.

We found Welsh Roofing to be very professional and efficient, and we love our new roof! We got quotes from three companies, and found Welsh to be by far the best deal. They were great about answering all our questions during our initial consult and the day of our roof replacement. We were also blown away by their efficiency - while our house is not large, we were shocked that they were done by noon. Finally, we were very impressed with the clean-up process; we have a dog, and we were a little nervous about sending her into the yard with the potential for rusty nails and other debris. However, clean-up was probably half of the process! They went over the same spots again and again with different tools to insure they picked up all the nails and debris, so I felt very safe letting my dog out afterwards. We would definitely recommend Welsh!

I needed a new roof and I was referred to Welsh Roofing by my neighbor. I called the company and Jack came out to give me an estimate, he clearly has been doing this his whole life based on his assessment and feedback on his estimate. He wasn't pressuring me to replace the roof, he actually told me I could go another year or two before replacing it, that showed me this guy had integrity. He had samples in his truck to choose from, and explained to me the quality of the different types of shingles. We had them replace the roof and these guys finished in 1 day! They even brought the mail to the door for us. Everyone in my neighborhood uses these guys and they speak highly of them for a reason. Top notch work. It’s rare to find contractors that exhibit all the qualities you hope for at the inception of any project. When we incurred storm damage to our roof, the prospect of searching for a company to replace it was about as exciting as scheduling a root canal. Once in while, though, you get lucky. Welsh was only the second roofer we contacted. From the beginning to the end was a pleasant experience. Responsive and knowledgeable. No BS and a more than fair price. Roof looks beautiful. Welsh roofing performed a whole roof replacement at my home. They take pride in their work and it shows! If you're looking for a new roof look no further. They have been around for many years and stand by their work.

I had my entire roof replaced by Welsh Roofing Company last month. I am very satisfied and happy with the work that Jack Welsh and his team did!! I had been meeting with several roofing contractors to get recommendations and written estimates. My neighbor happened to be in the same process of getting estimates from roofing companies. He mentioned that he selected Welsh Roofing and provided me Jack's contact info. I later contacted Jack to request an estimate and he said he would be out to my house first thing in the morning, as he was going to be working on my neighbors house. Jack looked at my entire roof and said he would provide me a written estimate in the next few days. Welsh Roofing's estimate was very reasonable and close to what other's provided me.
Jack took the time to explain to me their process and gave me some time to think about it. No pressure sales and no unnecessary add-on's. Jack was very clear about what I needed and gave me the option to install "ice and watershield guard" on parts/sections of the roof and the cost to apply it on the entire roof. Since I have a low pitch roof and over 5000 sq ft of roof, I decided to have the entire roof installed with "ice and watershield guard". Boy am I happy I did!! With all the rain we have been getting lately, I no longer feel like I need to bring out the buckets in the house to catch all the rain water.
After making the decision to go with Welsh Roofing, I was scheduled for my roof replacement within weeks. Jack and his team started promptly at stated time and was able to complete my roof replacement in one day! They cover and protect the parameter of your property and when completed they clean up everything and do a magnetic sweep to pick up any leftover roofing nails.
I am also surprised that Welsh Roofing Company does not have more reviews. I would highly recommend contacting Welsh Roofing if you are in search of a roofing company that does great work, has been in the industry for a many years, and great customer service.

Just a quick note to express our satisfaction and appreciation for our new roof and gutters. We selected Welsh Roofing after reviewing Consumer Checkbook and checking with a friend who had also used Welsh Roofing. We decided not to select a rival roofing company, also recommended by Checkbook although they offered a lower price. Greg walked the roof and proposed a solution for two problem areas where we had experienced problems in the past. The owners, Greg and Jack both worked on the roof replacement and the entire crew did a professional installation(completed in a day) from start to cleanup. Greg also revised our gutter system to improve water flow. We now feel we have an enhanced roof and gutter system. Many Thanks !

I was also surprised there was not more reviews for Welsh Roofing, but since I had such a great experience I had to add another. We used them for our roof and Jack was extremely patient as we picked the right roof for our home. Jack and his crew did excellent work and we referred them to our friends who also had a new roof installed and also loved Jack, the Welsh Roofing team, and the great job they performed.

Welsh Roofing met all of my expectations. Picking a roofing company was much more challenging than I expected, and I ended up getting more quotes that originally planned. Welsh was the last company I called, but once they came out it was a no brainer to go with them. Very happy I selected them for the job, and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to others.

I'm surprised that there aren't more reviews for Welsh Roofing on Google, but don't let that fool you. Great companies that do great work don't always need to market themselves when word-of-mouth speaks for itself. We were referred to Welsh Roofing by two friends who each had Welsh replace their roofs earlier this year. They did a ton of research, spoke to a lot of companies, and ultimately decided on Welsh because of their attention to detail, quality of installation, and their use of only the best roofing materials. When it came time to replace our roof, we were not disappointed. Welsh Roofing was extremely thorough (frankly, meticulous), and the finished product really shows. Well done, and thank you!

Welsh Roofing replaced our roof a couple years ago. They did amazing work at an amazing price. They completed the job in a single day, the crew was super friendly, and the cost was exactly as promised. After the recent wind storm, we had some damage to our siding and flashing.
