I recently had a new roof installed and couldn’t be happier with the experience. Kyle was instrumental in guiding me through the insurance process and making everything clear and straightforward. Although my insurance didn’t cover the new roof, Kyle took the time to explain my options and help me move forward confidently.

Once I decided to proceed, I worked with Zach to get everything scheduled and executed. His communication was excellent—I always felt I’d get a timely response if any issues arose. He even stopped by to talk through the process, which gave me a great sense of relief and confidence in the project.

On installation day, the team arrived early and ready to go. While the initial estimate for completion was 10+ hours, they brought in extra help and finished in just 5 hours! They left the area spotless, and my new roof looks amazing.

Of course, I have never been up on my roof to inspect the work that was done replacing my old roof, but I can say that I have had no issues or leaks. The roof looks great, the folks who did the work were efficient and hardworking and very easy to deal with. So I am very satisfied with the job ABC did for me!

We work with American Building Contractors to replace our roof due to hail damage. We could not ask for a better business to work with. From initial inspection to finished product, ABC went above and beyond for us. Kyle was incredible to work with and took the time to explain everything clearly. We had to go back and forth with insurance a lot. Kyle helped keep that process moving and kept us in the loop.
The team that did the work on our roof were also incredible. They were quick, friendly, and the quality is great.
I hope we don’t have to replace our roof again, but if we do, I know who I’ll be calling.

2nd time I've turned to ABC to fix hail damage. Great people to work with and quality craftsmen on the site. Strongly recommend them. My neighbor went with a door bell ringing storm chasing company and had to have her roof redone costing her much more out of pocket.

ABC, is a great company they did my roof good job I satisfied with it they know how to deal with insurance. My first person came to look at and deal with insurance, insurance denied it but when I called ABC over to looked at and deal with my insurance they approved so I very happy with it. I have had ABC out to my house to replace windows and wrap by soffits and fascia. They have done a fantastic job each time and their quotes have been competitive with other contractors in the area. My rating here is mostly based on the quality and price for their work. I have run into struggles sometimes with them when it comes to communication around timelines. Luckily I the person who did my quote and initial intake has been a reliable source I can reach out to and he usually gets back to me within a day.

It was an amazing experience working with their team. Really went the extra mile and did everything possible to help and ensure that my roof and gutters were replaced. And made sure to update the roof accordingly.

Once the work began, people doing the job were wonderful. They were professional, were always on time, knew what and how to do the job, careful with existing landscaping. Tyler and his crew went beyond anything I could have expected. Excellent job!

Great work by a great crew! Project Manager, Tyler, on site, maintained efficient, quality performance from a truly talented group of workers. Our roof was quite the challenge, as it is large and convoluted. From A-frame to Hip to Flat and including a unique shed structure, they mastered it all.
Very satisfied with the job and thrilled by the outcome.

They stole my email address to write fake reviews about how great they are. Absolute scam! The owner himself stole my email to write fake reviews. Chances are, he's never had a legit good review.
Edit: i noticed it several months ago and didn't say anything till today. Only because the emails on Angi have gotten out of control. I never signed up for Angi. I don't even live in the U.S., least of all Minneapolis. Whatever is going on is through Angi.

Someone wrote fake reviews about this business on Angi illegally using my email to do so. When i investigated, it was found to be someone named Steve and Parker Nelson. From emails recieved, they claim to be the owners. This company just seems like a scam in and of itself.

They replaced our roof as a result of hail damage. About 10 years prior we had hail damage and we used ABC, we were so satisfied with their work we went with them again this time. They are professional and great to work with. Good quality and the installers were awesome. We highly recommend this company!!!

Joe worked hard to meet my needs. I was very specific with my color scheme, Joe put in the time to pull it together. When it came to build time Zak and the crew are pro's. My home is the cutest on the block. Not cheap but that's ok you get what you pay for.

They kept us updated as to what was happening and explained in detail. Workers were very considerate , and the clean up was great.

Terrible. Worst experience ever. Still fighting and going to court over shotty work. They wont even honor the warranty. Customer service said they were told not to help me and hung up. I called back and they blocked my number.
Ahh was just looking at my house from the deracho and its still damaged cause ABC scamed me.
Dont use these scam artists.

David Winiecki and the people at ABC were professional, responsive, and helpful. It took a long time to get the project finished as it has been challenging times for everyone through Covid and supply chain disruptions.
I would recommend them.

American Building Contractors (ABC) installed new siding, six windows and gutters with guards on our 60-year-old house. We are very pleased with the finished product and we have gotten many compliments on the house’s “new look.” Our salesman, Scott, the program manager, Zach, and the crew were very professional and responsive to our requests. The siding install was top-notch and the vent color matches perfectly. They arranged for some very competent contractors to install the windows, gutters and do the electrical work. I would definitely recommend ABC! The only complaint I have is that the crew and one subcontractor left a gate in our backyard open at the end of the day and our dogs escaped two times. I would suggest people with gates make sure they are closed at night and/or remind crew to shut them when they finish for the day.

We had a leak in one of our bedrooms and didn't know who to call. HomeAdvisor recommended ABC. I was told they would send out a carpenter who wasn't a salesman and that he would be coming out to make the repair not to give me an estimate. It would cost $160 an hour and he would be able to fix it that day. Jason came out and figured out what was causing the problem in about 5 minutes.He had to replace some wood that was rotted under the shingles and then replace the shingles. He did it all in a little over an hour. He showed me the rotted wood and took pictures. He was very professional yet took the time to answer all of my questions. They were fair, honest and did exactly what was promised. I was happily surprised and would recommend them to anyone.

I needed some siding replaced, so I reached out to American Building Contractors to get a quote and see what needed to be done. From this point forward, their communication was prompt, their information/quotes honest, and their prices fair. When it came time for the work to actually begin, the installers were efficient and followed the manufacturer instructions for LP SmartSide to a T- which means it should last, and last, and last.

They did an excellent job and I cannot thank them enough. I look forward to working with them again when we replace the other sides!

It is rare that I ever post a 5 star review, but this company really deserves it. I suffered severe hail damage to my roof, siding and pool early this summer. After filing a claim with my insurance company they tried to settle for a fraction of the replacement costs. That's when I called ABC. They sent out Mr. Trafton as a representative. He was friendly, thorough and professional every step of the way. He took pictures and submitted all kinds of supplemental materials to ABC's insurance division who stuck with my claim until my insurance company finally agreed to pay the full replacement costs (as they should have in the first place). Three weeks after settling with my insurance company a crew from ABC showed up and replaced my roof. They did a professional job every step of the way. In fact, they were so professional that they went to my next door neighbors, told them they were about to begin work and asked them if they had any concerns. A week later they scheduled the siding crew. Two days later my siding was installed, just as professionally as the roof. From the very beginning to the very last detail of the job ABC was the most congenial and professional contractor I ever worked with; and I did union construction for 20 years, so I know what I'm talking about. I HIGHLY recommend you hire ABC for your exterior remodeling needs! For an insurance claim I wouldn't recommend you use anyone else. Everyone I dealt with at ABC through the entire process couldnt have been friendlier or more professional. That's why they deserve a 5 star rating. Dont let your insurance company screw you. Call ABC for all your roofing and siding needs - and ask for Mr. Trafton to come to your home for a free, no obligation assessment. Their employees are the best, and their insurance department rocks! They are the best in the business!

Our house was hit with a storm and had damage to the roof and gutters. ABC inspected our house quickly, worked with our insurance company, and provided excellent service throughout the process. We would highly recommend ABC. Also, we loved working with Josh and Reed- both were nice, helpful, and professional.

Extremely dissappointed with the service from this company - And I didn't even have a chance to see their work. I called to schedule a siding repair on June 21 and was told I was added to the calendar but it would likely be about 3-4 weeks before they could get out to my house. Not having heard an update, I called back on July 3 to find out status and was informed they were still a few weeks out. I called back again yesterday, since another 5 weeks had gone by and I still hadn't heard anything, and was just informed that they are now "booked out for the remainder of the year" and they wouldn't be coming out at all. How in the...??? I can't imagine dragging a customer along like this. My job would likely only take a could of hours too (assuming this is the real reason they cancelled - not worth it to them). Be careful if you think you have work scheduled with American Building Contractors - they'll probably cancel on you too!
