All American Home Service

All American Home Service is now our go to for our plumbing, and heating needs. We discovered a broken pipe on the weekend. Left a message and received a call back within 20 minutes. We scheduled a day and time for service, we received texts for confirmation, reminder, and a picture and intro of the service associate assigned our job. John called when he was on his way, he was timely, friendly, knowledgeable, so very sweet to our dogs and cats. John was so helpful with answering questions, inquiring if there was other concerns we might have. We had him install a kitchen faucet too during the service call as he had time to do so. He even made sure we didn't need payment arrangmeents or financing. It really felt like a family friend or family member was there doing the work for us. Highly recommend! We got the 12 month membership that came with a 13th month free. We were eligible for discounts, and with the membership received a massive coupon book that we also got to use for that service call and a great yard sign. So many other perks with the membership we could not pass it up. We can't say enough good things. We will be scheduling our boiler service with them as well in the next month. They gave estimates for everything we came up with and emailed them to us right away. They also called the next day to see how things were going and if we needed anything else. This is how businesses get repeat customers and loyalty.

Had great service from all American home service crew. Had them come out a few times in the same week for various issues. Do appreciate the 30 minute call out and asking if I need a coffee before they head over! John, Matt, Morgan were all thorough with there work and very knowledgeable. Explained what they were doing in detail and also explaning the charges in the bill and reminded me to use coupons from my membership book for more savings. Even got a follow-up call asing if things were running good a few days after. I LOVE that I get a reminder call annually to remind me to schedule my furnace maintenance, which I always seem to space!

All American Home Services came to my house to replace a single outdoor spigot. I had already removed the spigot, and all they had to do was attach the new spigot to the PEX tubing in the garage. The job was simple, easily accessed, and it took less than an hour. They charged me almost $500. OUTRAGEOUS!!! $$$$$

Eric, the service technician, was very friendly and professional. He did the job well. He explained that it was already a set fee to replace the outdoor spigot. No matter how simple the job. This shouldn’t be this way. That’s $500 for an hour of work. A set hourly rate would have been more fair. Especially, since I had already done half of the work to get it prepped before they arrived.

I will not use them again because of the crazy costs, without being flexible for easier, or simple jobs. Maybe they will change their billing system to be a little more realistic and fair.

Make sure you read all of the fine print and don’t get scammed by this business.

All American Home Service truly went the extra mile to make sure we were well taken care of. From the start, they sent a kind message with updates about the arrival time and even included a photo of who would be coming—such a thoughtful and reassuring touch.

Tyrel was the one who came out, and he was wonderful—kind, professional, and thorough. He even offered to bring me tea… and actually did! He cleaned out the dryer vents on both our dryers and made the whole experience easy and stress-free.

He didn't try to add anything unnecessary, and I sincerely felt that he legitimately was looking out for our best interests. His expertise was apparent in how he could clearly explain the situation to non-experts. We recently had our boiler serviced by All American Home Service. As new homeowners in the area, we initially felt confident in the technician’s expertise. However, things changed when I scheduled a follow-up appointment. A different technician arrived and informed me that the original quote for a new water heater—$2,500—was incorrect, and the actual price would be $3,500. He explained that the first technician may have assumed we already had a water heater installed, which made little sense and felt misleading.

I immediately declined the revised quote and asked the technician to leave. He was polite, apologized for the confusion, and said he would escalate the issue to management. Later, I received a call stating that they had reviewed the situation and insisted nothing had been done wrong—the quote would remain at $3,500.

Here’s my concern: if a company provides a written quote, they should honor it. Clear communication and accountability are essential in building trust with new customers. Unfortunately, this experience destroyed that trust.

Tyrel was quick, efficient, polite and offered all around A1 customer service. He was happy to share his knowledge and insight. It’s clear that Tyrel cares about what he does and even more about the customers he’s serves. Signed up for a membership without a second thought. I reached out to All American after 2 companies failed to return my calls after an emergency the evening before. From now on, All American will be my FIRST call. 5 stars isn’t enough for the reliability and peace of mind they offer. You’ve got a customer for life. THANK YOU

Tyrel installed new equipment on our old boiler and it has made a huge difference in fuel consumption. I want to note that Tyrel and his assistant were very professional. Tyrel was very knowledgeable about the products he installed. Exceptional work! Thanks from Alex and Justine.

I can’t believe they charge $700 for a little over an hour work. Last year, we had a heat pump system installed, which is quite an investment. I anticipated it would pay off overtime. However, we were very unpleasantly surprised when we scheduled our first annual maintenance, and it was nearly three times the cost we were paying for our old boiler. $700 in charges for just over an hour’s work. When I expressed concern, they first said that heat pump annual maintenance was “more involved”. But the total work on the invoice for the main unit and 4 internal mini-splits stated… “Sprayed the fins and examined them for any bends or breaks. Let the cleaner sit on the fins for 15 minutes and washed all the chemical off the unit with water.” How is that more involved than a multi hour job of opening and cleaning an oil boiler with soot and messy fuel, which costs $260? I spoke with the owner, but he seems to feel $700 was a completely acceptable charge. I’ve since looked at our security camera footage and can time stamp that work on the exterior until was 7 minutes and then 2 minutes for a max of 10 minutes and 1 hour on interior units, including time out at the van for a total of 1 hour and 10 minutes from bringing in equipment to hauling it out.
Be warned of $700 annual service charge. Personally, I think this is outrageous for the time and effort the job took and feel taken advantage of for having heat pumps installed.

They don’t come cheap BUT they do come with professionalism, friendliness, knowledge
respect and smiles! These are great people with great qualities. I would recommend them to everyone.

Eric came to do our service today and it was great. He communicated everything clearly, finished in a timely manner, cleaned up well after himself and was overall, nice. We are satisfied with the service provided.

I was having some problems with a heat pump originally and spoke with Kate, she was so nice and helped me figure it out. Two days later I called back for some problems with my kitchen sink and Kate was again super helpful and got me scheduled right away. Johnny called to let me know when someone was one the way and was also really nice. When Trace showed up he was so pleasant and spent a ton of time trouble shooting and explaining the problem with my sink. He was even nice enough to explain how my heat pump worked and how to take care of them. What a nice guy! I absolutely recommend this company, so helpful!

Our water heater decided to spring a leak on a Sunday afternoon. Since I'm a terrible plumber, I gave All American a call. I left a message and Katia, the on-call dispatcher called back within 10 minutes. She was great! She patiently listened to my problem, explained the process and charges and booked an expedited service call for later that day after answering all my questions. Katia let me know that their on-call service guy, John, was on another job and he'd be in touch ASAP. About 4 hours later John called and texted that he was on his way. In the meantime, I had shut off power to the heater as well as the water supply. John arrived with a new water heater and a great attitude. He explained the process, charges and their optional membership program before getting started. He even took the time to answer some questions I had about our baseboard system. Unfortunately, the heater John had with him was a hair too tall but he had a colleague deliver a shorter one within minutes. John was a pleasure to work with. I really appreciated the amazing communications via text and phone and the friendly, helpful attitude of everyone involved. I was surprised when Kate called to ask how the service went and if everything was fine. This was one of the best home service experiences I've had in the 25 years I've lived in Juneau and I'll be talking to them about some other work we need done.

Matt and Chris did a great job installing my new shower. It certainly wasn’t their fault that the wrong shower pan was sent and their customer service was just fine at all times. Tyrel was great during my plumbing crisis of backed up toilets . Excellent customer and pleasant to have on the job. Kudos to all of you.

I decided to give All American a try for the first time and was impressed. We were dealing with a leaky shower head and wasn’t sure what happened or how to address it.

I called them, and talked to Kate. Sadly, at the time we were set for service, I think Friday, the communications issue that hit Juneau occurred. I ended up driving to All American to try to sort out next steps since calling and texting were not options that day due to service being down.

Kate was able to fit us in the following Monday. Keeping us informed on where they were at with other clients. Eric called that Monday morning to check in and that John and Eric were on their way. I want to say when John, I think, called, he offered to get coffee, but I was good.

John and Eric showed up and were on it, providing details on what they were going to do, prices, and scenarios if they couldn’t get the shower head fixed easily. They had trouble unlocking the faucet handle just due to how long we have had it, but they persevered, and were able to get it unlocked.

I can’t recall the words they said per se, but I do recall them finding the problem, explaining what happened and how they were going to fix it.

Ultimately once fixed, the shower head stopped leaking which was odd to not hear the sound, after several weeks of hearing it from our bathroom.

John, Eric, Kate, and Johnny were all very collaborative, very detailed, very helpful. John did a great job highlighting other things All American does and recommending things that we should get checked at some point. Money is tight though for us unfortunately, but I am hoping one day I can look into the things John talked about.

We do still need our boiler serviced so I am looking to check in with them again hopefully soon.

Overall, they were all great to work with!

My recent experience with the All American Home Service Tyrel, Eric the service professionals, Johnny the dipatcher and Kate the customer service representative were all absolutley positive. Tyrel and Eric in additon to fixing the immeidate problem with my heating boiler system, highlighted two other issues that I was not aware. There was no sales pessure but they showed me what was wrong and why my hydronic floor heating system - an issue that i have been trying to resolve for the past 4 years. The solution was easy and is now working perfectly.

Of course my heating issue started Saturday morning. I left a message and the service represntative got back to me within 30 minutes. We decided the best option was for a service call Monday, but if my alternative heating failed that they would send a tech immediatley. On the weekend AAHS confirmed by text message reminde rof my appointment. The scheduler, Johnny, called Monday to confirmed my appointment and the service guys called about 30 minutes before they arrived. They arrived as promised, talked about options for my immediate heating issues, we agreed on what would be repaired with a quote before the work started. They were exceeding respectful of my house and were perfect doing the repair work, and not leaving any clean up for me.

100% satisfied.

Trace and Austin were great! They came out quickly and brainstormed our issue and gave us a speedy fix. They were informative and transparent through the whole process and made a stressful moment, much easier. Would recommend this quality service to anyone!

Servicemen showed up same day as called, actually 1-1/2 hours after I called.
Service men were courteous, professional and listened to my theory of what was wrong after troubleshooting myself.
They concurred with my assessment and began snaking my main drain line from the access point just outside my house to the main city sewage line at the road. They hit a major clog approximately 40’ from the house and was able to clear the blockage.

We utilized All American for a weekend, emergency pipe burst and were incredibly satisfied with the services we received by their technician, Tyrel. He was at our home within an hour of our call, got the job done quickly and efficiently, and was very personable and professional. We were especially satisfied with the price of their service, as they charged substantially less for an emergency weekend call than other local companies had quoted us. We will be using All American for all our plumbing needs in the future and highly recommend them to the Juneau community!

My frankenboiler kicked the bucket Sunday night, a quick referral from the awesome crew at Arrowhead and Andrew from All American was out for a consult that same day, by 4pm I had a signed bid for the replacement work before Tuesday. With easy financing options available through their online invoicing and friendly staff answering the phones Tuesday, Kate helped me with information on city permitting and made for easy contact with the All American office. Finally, Wednesday morning bright and early Trace, Chase, and Austin were out to begin work in my tiny utility closet. On hands and knees for two days and up my 385’ driveway from hell on a hill in a snowstorm that dropped 8”, the work was done before my wife was home AND they plowed out my driveway when they left after hauling all their gear up and down the hill no less than 20 times. Now my home is warm, the taps are hot again, all before cold temps return in less than 4 days. Absolutely freaking amazing work from these guys. They all need a big ass bonus. Cheers, Gentleman - if I see you around town it’s a free beer every time!

I had an outstanding experience with All American. Had a boiler issue and they showed up quickly and made necessary for a reasonable price. These folks are top notch. Kate was extremely helpful in helping coordinate appointments and the technician, John, was awesome. Thank you!

This isn't a complaint really as this all may be very standard practice, but I wish I knew about it before agreeing to have them come by. To walk in the door and discuss possible options was $86. This fee is and was waived if I agreed to have them do something. At first the technician jumped right in to talking about replacing my water heater which would cost $1,647.48. I asked about looking into fixing my current water heater instead, which was my original question when I had called All American. The technician said he could look into it, but that that inspection would cost $233.31. I went with that option instead as I didn't want to replace something that could just be fixed (though acknowledge I may need to replace the water heater entirely one day). After 10-20 minutes and a couple phone calls, the technician decided that the elements needed to be changed out and that that service would cost $529.17 (on top of the ~$233 inspection, for a total of over $750 to have the elements replaced). In the end, I paid for the inspection, had the $86 walk in fee waived, and left with a better understanding of what was wrong with my system. I hope this helps anyone who may be thinking about calling them for a hot water heater repair and let's them have an idea of the different costs associated with it.

As he was leaving however the technician did give me some tips and warnings about certain things to look into should I decide to try and perform any of the work myself, which I greatly appreciated.

If possible I’d score 4.5.
Fortunately, I’ve not needed a plumber in over a decade but I believe that getting a leaking hot water heater successfully replaced within 24 hours in Juneau today approaches being a miracle. I was impressed with the scheduling, the two on site employees, and the final outcome. Still, the policy of requiring customers to pay the plumber for the work before he/she leaves and before hot water returns is offensive, especially when the plumber has to return to assess why the hot water has not returned in more than 3 hours. Add to that I was required to sign paperwork accepting I would pay for the visit unless it was determined that it was his mistake, which it was. Again, offensive; especially when I’m expected to trust the company by giving my credit card number rather than digital payment but I’m not trusted. Perhaps it’s unrealistic to expect the focus should be on meeting the needs of the customer rather than getting paid immediately, but that continues to be my expectation. Finally, although I don’t know the rates of other service companies, I found the cost of a 50 gallon hot water heater and 2 hours of labor ($1750) to be very expensive. Photos are old and new hot water heaters.

A $500 bill and four technicians in two separate trips from All American Home Service to receive two incorrect evaluations and for the technician to jury-rig an incorrect rated fuse.

We went from having too much heat to none after their first visit. We paid $240 for their incorrect assessment and for them to disable our heat inadvertently. Their recommendation was a $1500 repair that we agreed to.

When the second team arrived for the repair they said there was a mistake and recommended an alternative repair that we later learned was also incorrect. Our heat still being out from the first team they then jury rigged an incorrectly rated fuse that didnt work and charged us another $250.

This company actually knocked our heat out and then wouldnt fix it in a cold snap until we paid them more money. This is a very shady business that borders on criminal.

Take note and read what you are signing and realize that they will charge as much as they can whether or not they fix anything or in our case damage our system, cause our heat to go out and put our house in danger of an electrical fire. We had an electrician friend look at the system and had full heat in an hour with a new fuse.

This was dangerous, sloppy and expensive work. I included their values for the owner since they seem to be unaware of them.

Tyrrell was great but I have to say 500.00 for 35 minutes of working way, way to high. I won't go with this company again, too expensive!!!

At 11:00 am I discovered that my house had no hot water. At 11:42am I called All American. They arrived before 1:00pm and had the new water heater installed by 2:30pm. Fast, efficient, professional.

This was a bad experience for us. The technician performed a draft test and without discussing the results or a course of action, he unilaterally and without our consent disconnected our heater from the thermostat. This happened on a cold Friday afternoon. No other service provider can establish the connection and there are no replacements or staff to install a replacement unit at this time. We must use electric space heaters for an undetermined length of time.

Very happy with the boiler installation. Chase, Austin, and Morgan are a professional team and completed the job on schedule.

All American has always been a great company to work with, and that continues. We had them decommission our heating oil boiler system and install a new propane boiler system. From the beginning they were friendly, professional, carefully presented all our options and throughly answered our questions. They kept us updated on the progress of the arrival of the parts and promptly scheduled the job when everything was ready. The decommission and installation techs Matt, Ray, and Morgan were also super cool, friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. The job only took two days and they made sure everything was perfect before they left. The Navien combi system they installed takes up little space, and is very quiet and efficient.

In short, we had a great experience from start to finish and highly recommend All American. Thank you!!!

They answered all of my questions thoroughly, and informed me of all the work they were about to complete before doing it. Some companies perform work and then provide an unexpected invoice afterwards, so I am extremely thankful for how great they both were at communicating, and getting the job done right. We had an outstanding experience with All American! During a cold snap, a pipe froze and burst, as these things often do, during off hours. All American was the only company offering emergency service, and they responded quickly.
The technician, Randy, was excellent. He fixed the pipes in record time and the cost was reasonable. What could have been an incredibly stressful situation for our family was made so much easier thanks to their efficient and professional service.

Today we woke up to a very cold house of 58° and the outside temperature was -8°, of course it’s the weekend. I called AAHS and they sent Tyrel over in a very timely manner. Tyrel explained everything to me in detail, as he always does, and got to work. I can’t thank Tyrel & AAHS enough for their great service!

Matt Travis did a great job in his service call. I was very pleased with his troubleshooting and he was helpful in explaining what plunger was the best!

I came home this evening to find a cold house with frigid temps outside. Once I saw that the furnace wasn’t working I made a call for emergent services to rectify the problem and luckily Matt came to my aid within the hour. He was friendly, courteous and professional. He explained the issues and the corresponding cost ahead of doing the work. He was able to get the heat restored quickly! Thank you, Matt!

All American made the effort to schedule an emergency visit on short notice to fix our furnace. Tyrell arrived around noon, explained pricing and the necessary work, and completed repairs in about an hour. He was very easy to work with and knowledgeable about a variety of plumbing and heating questions. Overall, we were very pleased.

Not happy, my furnace went out because I ran out of fuel which required the line to be bled. I also requested a maintenance cleaning and a price quote because it’s an older furnace. I paid for the service of maintenance in advance before any work was done. Service guys said the quote guy would be by later. So he bled the furnace got it running then proceeds to tell me that he can’t do the cleaning service unless he does a “blow test”, if my furnace didn’t pass the test he would have to make my furnace in operative as it’s a law. I had this furnace serviced every year and I feel this is their way of ensuring a guaranteed sale for them. Anyway he didn’t do a service because I told him he’s not going to leave in a pickle going into the winter without a furnace.

Matt was VERY professional, and did a great! Cleaned up offered other services and that was good, because, I did not know they offered them. I will definitely call you for future service. I would also like to thank the rest of the team for being very professional. Thank you!

All American had great customer service. The plumbers that showed up were nice, quick and very knowledgeable. Only issue was the cost to change a hose bib that took less than an hour was 650 bucks. I am happy they took care of me right away but that invoice seems excessive. Thanks.

They put in a new heating system at our house in 2015. Lived up to their side of the deal system works great.

Update March 2025: called all American again for a boiler leak yesterday and they had a technician at my house inside of 24 hours. Leak fixed with a total bill of under $200. made my day.

Chase, Raymond, Johnny, and Kate all did a great job helping with the process.

Found our leak and had it fixed inside of an hour. Will use these guys again for sure. Home call.
