My wife and I are extremely happy with the work, professionalism and customer service we experienced with everyone at Alfa Design & Build. We always had positive experiences with Ernesto, Jonatan, Nestor, Laura and Raquel and each of them went above and beyond to ensure we were 100% satisfied during each stage of the process for their work on our tree rings and retaining wall.

You definitely get “double the bang for your buck” when selecting them to do a project for you. Thanks for everything and we would definitely want to work with you all again in the future. I’m attaching some before and after photos of our project. Although it was not the biggest of jobs, they ensured we were always happy and Nestor worked on this project as if he were working at his own home!!! Appreciate you guys!!!

The Alfa Design and Build team just completed our deck and patio project and it exceeded our expectations. ALFA Designs did a superior job designing and pouring a concrete surround for our pool. They were professional and always on time. The concrete looks great and we will contact them for any future projects.

I recently had a patio installed and wanted to share my experience.

What truly stood out was how proactive the Alfa team was throughout the process. I’ve never worked with a contractor so willing to acknowledge issues and take responsibility for correcting them promptly and thoroughly. Their professionalism and follow-through made a big difference.

One point of disappointment was that the job was sub-contracted out, and the subcontractors didn’t seem to uphold the same standards I expected from Alfa Design and Build. However, I really appreciated Alfa’s responsiveness and commitment to standing behind their name. They took my concerns seriously and ensured all the final product met their standards.

In the end, the patio looks great and I appreciate the team’s attitude and dedication to quality. I would definitely hire them again, and I’d recommend them to anyone.

Ernesto, Jonatan, Nestor and the other professional landscape architects, designers, and installers created a backyard sanctuary and delivered a front yard that is the envy of our neighborhood. The hardscape Includes a distinctive modern fence that mirrors the designs we loved in Florida and California resorts. They installed a spectacular Techno bloc paver patio and walkway with artificial turf, per county regulations, that turned an open space into a destination.
We are very particular, detailed, and passionate. Their very experienced Landscape Design took into account exactly what their clients’ needs and wants were. They worked with us every step of the way, from the front the boulder identifying the house, the custom made window wells, and the oasis of new trees in front of our beautiful back fence.
Everyone stops by to see the backyard and the grass that looks so nice and green. They all say it is the best landscaping in the neighborhood!

I am soooo pleased with Ernesto and Alfa Design and Build! We had a pretty modest project of simply creating a walkway to the front door and refashioning our stoop. I had many contractors that came to provide estimates which were outlandish and just not feasible. I was ready to abandon the entire idea when I started looking at reviews and happened upon glowing reviews for Alfa Design. I contacted Ernesto and he visited with pamphlets and an estimate, shortly thereafter. Wow- what a difference in price and I only proceeded because he had glowing reviews! Otherwise, it seemed too good to be true! But we now have our walkway and stoop completed, I’m over the moon, no complaints and Ernesto is wonderful to work with! He and Alfa Design made possible what I thought was out of reach!! I can’t say enough to endorse this company!!

Alpha just completed our new Dock for our pond. They demolished the old one, removed all debris, then installed a beautiful, sturdy, new one that they designed for us. Alpha was responsive, efficient, and easy to work with. Everyone on their team - in the office and on the job site - was friendly and professional. We thoroughly enjoyed working with Alfa design to replace our siding and select windows! After the hail storm in august 2024 we had so many contractors at our door, but Mike was the only one to follow up, which honestly was what we needed as overwhelmed first time home owners and first time insurance users. Mike and his team really helped us navigate the insurance claim process and his contractor met with our adjuster to ensure our siding inspection was down correctly and that the replacement was covered. Once we were approved through insurance, Mike met with us multiple times to help with the design and HOA approval process which was fantastic. The install team was respectful, on schedule and thorough. We cannot recommend Alfa more and LOVE OUR RESULTS! Before is blue shutters after is Pepercorn black!

I recently hired Alfa Design and Build to replace the roof & siding on my home, and I couldn’t be more impressed with their work. Despite battling extreme weather conditions, they remained dedicated to completing the job on time with exceptional quality just before the snowstorm.

My wife and I had a great experience working with Mike Jones at Alfa to replace our siding.  When he knocked on our door saying he believed the hail damage to our siding would very likely result in a home insurance claim being approved, we were both pretty skeptical.  We didn't want to submit a claim and have it denied.  But the damage he showed us was pretty clear and he seemed to have a lot of history with cases like ours.  After about a month, the insurance claim did get approved and we were off and running.  Mike explained all of the siding lines and color options and offered to wrap our rake boards and door trims at no extra cost.  He walked us through how the process would work and kept in touch every step of the way.  The siding was installed over the course of 2.5 days and the result is absolutely beautiful.  We chose a dark blue siding from the Royal Estate collection and couldn't be happier with the way it looks; like we have a brand new house.  I highly recommend Mike J. at Alfa if you want to work with someone who is honest and communicative and delivers on his promises.

We are located directly next to a major highway & our biggest complaint was the road noise, but after the “Alfa Design and Build” team added Low E insulation under the new siding, the road noise isn’t even noticable anymore!

Alfa replaced our siding, shutters, gutters, and replaced our porches metal roof with shingles to match the house shingles.

They know how to work with your insurance and the professional crews make the workmanship look easy.

Our house is now the best looking on the block and we owe it all to Mr. Jones and his team at Alfa design and build. I will always recommend them!

Alfa Design and Build took care of my patio a few months ago. I worked with Eduardo and Alex; they were professional, knowledgeable, and precisely what I was looking for. My patio pavers have not been maintained properly over the last five years. This was a multi-day project consisting of paver repairs involving the removal of tree roots from under the pavers, manually removing weed roots and dirt between the paver stones, power washing, resealing, and re-sanding. The patio looks great, and we can now use the backyard again. Their price was competitive; the project was completed on time and within budget. I had a few concerns, but Eduardo and Alex mitigated them promptly. I would recommend them highly.

Michael at the Alfa Design and Build found many dents in our old sidings, helped us communicate with our insurance company, helped with the assessment, and got our siding fully replaced. He patiently helped pick up the colors and provided ideas on how to match the colors with our windows. The wood frames of our garage doors were rotten, he helped to get them wrapped as shown in the photo. The frame under our roof was cracked and damaged by bees, he helped to wrap them, and they now look nicer and beautiful! All these were extra works. He is like an artist! He is nice, patient, responsible, and works very efficiently! He did the work like an art! We enjoyed working with him! He and his team did a great job! We appreciate his work! We didn’t need to worry about anything for the whole process to get new and beautiful siding, high quality, and beautiful design, meanwhile, we were stress-free! We strongly recommend his team to our neighbors, friends, and coworkers!

Ernesto and his crew did an amazing job. I didn't know what I wanted when I started the project, I just knew I wanted to have a beautiful patio and party space. Ernesto listen to what I wanted designed and modified a plan. I think it came out amazing and they did exactly what they were supposed to do when they were supposed to do it. One thing I look for in a company is communication. Ernesto always got back to me in a timely manner or answered the phone immediately. The subs foe gas and electric were awesome too.

Edit: 2 weeks after our patio project was completed, Ernesto and the Alfa team sent us a thank you gift for our 2 year old toddler and baby we are expecting within a week. Absolutely amazing - these guys are THE BEST!!

Our backyard patio and water feature project went incredibly well with Alfa Design & Build. Over the last 20+ years, I've engaged in many home improvement projects. I can confidently say that working with the owner Ernesto was hands down the best experience I've had working with a contractor. I met with 7-8 potential companies to build our backyard patio and water feature. I am so happy we proceeded forward with Ernesto and his team. He is head and shoulders above most contractors, and that was very clear when I called 3 of his referrals and they all raved about him.

Ernesto was very quick and clear in his communication. His pricing was fair and he brought great design ideas to make our project even better than our vision! Our foreman Nestor was incredible. Again, great communication and interactive process to make sure we were satisfied. That's what really stands out about Alfa Design & Build, they are 100% focused on the customer being satisfied in the end product. Throughout the project, we added a few more services when we found out they could provide those (incredible uplighting package for our entire house and sealing natural stone porch).

We are so happy with our final project. Excellent quality and unique and beautiful design that guests marvel at when they come join us for a backyard BBQ. If you are looking at an outdoor improvement project, I highly recommend Alfa Design & Build!!

The only downside was that our project was slightly delayed on getting started, but that was due to weather impacting projects they had to complete before getting to ours...out of Ernesto's control.

We had our siding replaced by AFLA. The entire team from start to finish was great. The guys who did the work, did an outstanding job. The work was completed on schedule and within the agreed upon price. And, the cleanup was thoroughly done.

We contacted many Hardscape companies back in August to get an estimate for a large patio project. Ernesto was the first to reply and came out quickly for an estimate. Our ideas were passed on to Ernesto and he and his team designed a beautiful outdoor living space. Professional, timely and responsive! I contracted Alfa Landscapes & Hardscapes to complete my backyard project, stamped concrete patio approximately 440 sqft. The pricing was competitive with other quotes, what drove me to Alfa was Ernesto’s fluid communication. He really put the client at ease. His team (Jaime and co.) really knocked it out, all in a timely fashion. Not only did Ernesto outlined a timeline for the project, but updates were also provided when the weather was not cooperating. I had the guys come out to replace my cracked, broken and sinking driveway. I drive a 9 ton bucket truck and had to upgrade the driveway to hold it. They knocked it out of the park!!! Alfa Landscaping demolished an existing deck and installed a patio, approximately 500SF with stairs. Pricing was competitive with other quotes, but I felt comfortable with this company due to great communication that I experienced during the initial conversations. Ernesto was always quick to respond to my inquires throughout the entire process, My patio has several curves, so I was nervous about how they would turn out, but Nestor does great work and he executed the vision I had and the patio turned out beautifully! He and the crew worked hard each day. The whole process went smoothly, from deck removal, to material delivery, to patio installation. Overall, great experience and I would definitely recommend Alfa Landscaping and use them again.

Professional. Punctual. Perfection. Hands-down the BEST experience I’ve had with any company I’ve worked with in the 5 years I’ve had my house in Woodbridge. I’ve been wanting a privacy fence installed ever since I moved in, but always thought it was either going to be too expensive or impossible to find a decent company to do so. After looking at bigger names like Long Fence, Armor Fence, etc., I came across Alfa Landscapes & Hardscapes. Ernesto responded the same day I reached out, came out within a day or so to go over what I needed, sent me a very reasonable estimate the next day, even after I made a couple of changes last minute, and was able to work me into the schedule the same week!

Long story short, one Saturday I’m looking at a sad chain link fence, the next Saturday I have a beautiful 6-ft privacy fence with no evidence of the pitiful fence that once stood there! The installation team was on time, worked quickly, but precisely, did a walk through with me afterwards, and left me staring at my perfect new fence in awe! You will not be disappointed!

Ernesto and his team were excellent! I began my project by having multiple contractors come out and provide an estimate. Ernesto was the first to reply and first to schedule the estimate. When he came to my property, he walked through my ideas and then added a few of his own, which were greatly appreciated. Once the project started, the team was professional, friendly, and clean. I received compliments from multiple neighbors on how clean the team would leave the project site each evening. As the project went on, I requested some changes. All were accepted with no issue and Ernesto, again, pointed me in the right direction with some of them. I went from a single car driveway to a double car, with room to spare, while not increasing the coverage area drastically. Before this project, I had standing water that would freeze or mildew in my yard and on the driveway and sidewalk, making it very dangerous to walk over. Since completion of the project, all water issues have been solved! I recommend Ernesto to everyone looking to do a project. I will be going back to him for anything I decide to do in the future. 5 stars. 10 out of 10. Best contracting experience i have ever had.

Our first idea was to just buy a fire pit kit from Lowe’s and park it in the middle of our former garden plot. After discovering Alfa in our search for ideas, we’re extremely pleased with the entire experience in having our patio and fire pit constructed. From the beginning, when Ernesto, the owner, pointed out some choices we have.

The fact that they use high quality material and the warranty on structural work were high in the list. Ernesto was very accommodating in getting us on their busy schedule and the guys worked the weekend in extreme heat to finish.

Jonathan and his two-man crew were friendly, professional and such hard workers. They certainly show that they love their work, strive to accomplish customer needs and are proud of a job well done. It was amazing watching them put the puzzle of patio and fire pit together in such short time.

We had a wonderful experience with Alpha Landscaping. We hired them to replace our existing patio and wall with a new patio with pavers. Ernesto made excellent suggestions for the pavers and colors to match our front walkway and oversaw the overall project. The crew arrived each day at the designated time and worked very hard throughout. First they had to demolish the old patio and cart everything away. Then they had to put in the new patio. They were extremely pleasant and polite even though this work is backbreaking. Each day things were cleaned up at the end of the day as well. You could tell they really enjoyed their work and really got along well. I would highly recommend this company and will use them for future jobs.

We hired Alfa landscaping for our patio and we were extremely satisfied by their services. They seem to be most reasonable in terms of pricing and lower priced compared to the likes of Armor Fence but their quality of service is great. They were always very responsive to our requests or questions and timely completed our patio. The overall work was very professional and the patio looks great.

Not only did the end product turn out beautifully but Ernesto quickly resolved unforeseen issues that only became apparent when the old deck was removed. Alfa Landscaping is a superb company to work. Even though my project was a small one, every detail was handled with professionalism and perfection. They went out of their way to get my pavers (I ordered from Lowe's - military discount) when it took so long to fill my order. They actually went to Lowe's when they opened and got my pavers that a.m. I highly recommend them.

I entrusted the Paver Patio work on my backyard to Ms Alfa Landscape Inc Manassas through Thumbtack. Mr Ernesto visited the spot ( about 400Sft). He explained in detail how he would execute the work in my time frame. I also gave him my requirements. He submitted his proposal the very next day as I wanted the work to be done immediately. His quote was reasonable compared to other three but he had given 5 year warranty. I gave him my approval. There was absolutely no haggling.As promised he started the work and finished it in three days. The entire process was watched by me. It was exactly as he had quoted. Very punctual professional and the workers did the work perfectly. Apart from the patio work some additional works were also done without extra charge as goodwill. I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Alfa Landscaping to anyone for professional courteous and punctual execution. His workers are very good and have the required expertise and experience. I have a beautiful paver patio in my backyard.

If there were more stars I would give it to them., I had a drainage problem in my back yard and a very large dog. Ernesto gave me a quote. he and his men showed up on time, did what he said they would do, and came back to make sure I was satisfied with the work. I was very satisfied with everything they did. I was so satisfied that I have had them come back again when I needed some concrete work around my pool , and when my insurance was going to cancel unless some trees and brush were trimmed I called them again. They always showed up, gave me a very good price, and did a very good job. I keep their name and number handy so that I can call them again.
