We got involved with Jermaine early in our project and he helped us completely transform three separate areas - kitchen, dining, living room into a space with an open floor plan. From window replacement, wood floor installation and refinishing, ceiling, new lighting, cabinet installation, counters, sinks, appliance installation, painting and tiling, A& J Home Improvement can do it all! The workmanship and attention to detail is of the highest quality.

Jermaine and team took great care of our primary bathroom and office below the bathroom after extensive water damage. Jermaine was an awesome communicator throughout the project, making sure every question we had was answered promptly. The team also took great care with prep each work day, covering floors to reduce dust and dirt. I would highly recommend A&J to anyone looking for a stand-up contractor that is completely transparent throughout the process. The final product looks absolutely stunning.

Jermaine and his crew recently renovated my kitchen. Where do I begin? They were very personal, and professional and always arrived when they said that they would. I had a vision in mind, I expressed My desires and they made our dream come true. We had a deadline that we wanted and they exceeded it! At first we were super nervous to be doing such a big project, but Jermaine made us feel very comfortable.Communication is key anytime I would call or text Jermaine with a question he responded right away. I recently hired Jermaine and his crew for a project in my condo, and I couldn’t be happier with the results. They removed a large built-in shelving unit that took up an entire wall, and not only did they handle the removal flawlessly, but they also went above and beyond by patching up additional spots on the walls that needed some extra attention.

The craftsmanship was truly exceptional—Jermaine’s team even had to add flooring where the built-in used to be, and it blends seamlessly with the rest of the space. You’d never know it was there! Their attention to detail, professionalism, and genuine care for the work really stood out.

Jermaine built a roof over our stone patio behind our garage. It came out beautiful and he was a pleasure to work with. He let us know when he'd be here and came on time. Jermaine recently completed a bathroom renovation for me. He was very professional, reliable, and he was a pleasure to work with, all while doing excellent work. Although my bathroom presented a lot of hidden challenges along the way (being a much older house), he handled each with aplomb and was always able to come up with the best way to handle the specific situation. Jermaine was an absolute pleasure to work with. We needed our business entry stairway and handicap ramp re-done. He responded right away and was able to come out the next day to look at the job. He listened to my thoughts/concerns and came up with a great plan, which ended up reducing the total job cost in the end!

Jermaine is very good at what he does. He rebuilt a deck on the back of my raised ranch and it came out beautifully. He is a hard worker who takes pains to make sure everything is done right.

Jermaine was great. We needed our deck rebuilt and new railing and stairs. He pointed out areas that needed repair that I had not been aware of. He gave a fair and competitive quote and delivered. Jermaine did a very beautiful job adding on a deck extension to my home. I was very impressed by his professionalism, creativity and efficiency. He presented me with fresh, new ideas of how to work around a shed door that would have been blocked by the deck. No other contractors have taken the time to suggest a work around that was affordable and made sense. I'll definitely be using him for any future projects on my home and have recommended him to others who need work done.

Update: I hired Jermaine and his team to do a second job on my home remodeling my kitchen and it was the best choice I could have made. I had gotten estimates before from big chains like Home Depot and Express Kitchens but neither of them knew how to deal with placing cabinets on a tricky wall that partially extended out into the garage off the kitchen. They also kept telling me it would be too difficult to remove a load-bearing wall that separated my kitchen and dining room. Jermaine was able to quickly analyze how we could fix both to give me an open floor plan. He worked diligently with me to ensure I was able to choose everything I wanted from cabinet colors, grout colors, paint, flooring, lighting, etc. He also worked cooperatively and extremely patiently with an electrician I chose who eventually had to be replaced due to his lack of professionalism. This was a huge job that involved moving my sink, stove and appliances to new locations, replacing a sliding door with French doors, as well as putting in a window above the sink. Jermaine did an excellent job updating me what he was doing every step of the way. He pays very close attention to details and even customized my kitchen with a built in wine rack between my cabinets and a dish drying rack in the cabinet above the kitchen sink. I 'm very pleased with his work and now I have my dream kitchen! If you're looking for someone who has great problem solving abilities, is detail oriented, works efficiently and will find ways to save you money whenever possible, I'd highly recommend Jermaine for the job. I will definitely be using him in the future for a bathroom reno.
