Affordable Quality Roofing & Gutters

The lack of professionalism and customer support was woefully disappointing.
We were never provided samples of the gutter choices and asked to replace the gutters with the same color, a different color was chosen and there was not attempt to remedy the situation beyond the "opportunity" to pay more money.

If you do choose to use this company be very careful that you look at every detail as they are not going to help you choose a roof or gutter that matches the home or anything. While the cost was cheaper than other quotes it was not worth it when it comes to lack of professionalism or customer support. I wish we had gone with another company.

Please note we have no problems with the shingles that are on our roof and they are the color we chose and we are happy with that. We were not shown the gutter choices. Yes, we did sign a contract and we understand that and as such we paid in full for the goods and services provided. However, the experience working with them was less than ideal that that was the reason for the poor review.

I have been using Affordable Quality, Inc for both by personal needs and for my remodeling company for many years (12+) and have always been completely satisfied (sometimes beyond expectations) for every project. Will continue to use them and refer them for any new work.

Had an appointment for a gutter install on a Saturday for an unknown time. The lady in the office told me to call the office on Saturday morning to find out when they would be out as they would have their schedule lined up then. I called several times and only got an answering machine. The contracted crew showed up at 11:15. I asked the driver about it and he said the office is closed on Saturdays. I then tried to talk to him about what was to be done because the only instructions on my contract concerned the gutters from the main house draining into the shorter gutters on the side extension. There was no mention of how the down spouts were to be installed. The estimator and I had discussed installing them on the ends of the house and having them drain away from the ends, not the normal mounting on the front and rear face of the house and draining away. The installer didn't seem to fully understand and I'm not fluent in Spanish. He called someone, then put me on the phone with a lady who could translate. But I was unable to explain to her what I wanted so I told them that we wouldn't be doing the job today that I would reschedule. I called the office and left a message that they needed to send someone else out who spoke English or have a translator onsite. Later in the day a man called from the company and was very condescending and nasty. He told me he would not send them back out, that they knew perfectly well what needed to be done and was fully explained on the paperwork. Except there is no mention of the downspouts on it. I explained that new Hardie fiber cement siding and trim had been installed and it would cost thousands of dollars to repair if they installed it wrong or damaged the siding and trim. He insisted they knew what they were doing and suggested I had offended his contractors. He refused to come back out and to told me to find another company. That's fine, there are plenty out there. I will find one that understands a customer needs to be able to communicate with his contractors and be sure that they understand what's going on. I didn't feel that way and I'm not going to assume that they do understand. And if your going to run a business you need to learn how to talk to and treat your customers. There was no excuse for how I was treated.

Affordable Quality has done a wonderful job in roofing my house in Springfield. When the insurance company said there was just a small section that needed repair, Affordable Quality fought on my behalf to get the entire roof replaced. When the insurance company finally agreed, they did a great job replacing the roof ... and left the premises clean as a whistle. When there was a minor problem, the fixed it immediately! Chris, the office manager, always returns calls as quickly as possible ... and understands urgent requests. Honorable, responsible, high quality, dependable, honest, reliable, AND affordable are the words that come to mind when I think of Affordable Quality. Thanks for a great job and for getting things done right and on time!

I am very satisfied with the experience. After living overseas for 6 years, I came back to wonder if my roof needed replacing or not. While another vendor said that it was needed and immediately, Larry from Affordable Quality said that I could get at least another 2 years out of my then-current roof. More than 2 years later, they offered to do the work at the same price as the original quote! When I gave them the go-ahead, they were there the next week and completed the job in a day. The roof looks great and I'm happy with having been able to hold out on the replacement. They replace 13 of 50 boards, about 25%, suggesting that the timing was just about right.

This is the first time I leave a negative comment on a company's page but I believe it is necessary. Affordable quality has taken a whole month from the time my insurance company paid me to do any work on my property. They said it will still be a whole month until they get my roof redone. I contacted another company and they are charging $500 less and they would do the work within a couple days. I called them many times and no one would answer, I had to leave two voicemails to finally get a response. When the administrator finally called she had terrible customer service and give me attitude saying they will charge me $1000 just to put a tarp on my roof.

I definitely give this company a 5 star rating. Last Spring, I had wind damage to my home. Affordable Quality Roofing handled both the siding and roof replacements. Their representative met with the insurance adjustor and made a temporary roof repair until the full replacement could be scheduled. They matched the new siding exactly to the existing siding. When they installed the new roof, it was done completely in one day. The crew cleaned up quickly and thoroughly, I couldn't even tell they had been there.... except for the new roof! I highly recommend this company for any roofing or siding repairs.

Over the past 4 years, Affordable Quality Roofing has replaced or repaired 20+ roofs for our managed properties. Their service has been excellent. Their office manager, Chris, is helpful in explaining options and coordinating HOA requirements. Their inspector/estimator, Larry, quickly addresses our requests and also coordinates to meet with insurance adjustors. Their prices are very competitive, they honor their quoted price and/or match insurance pricing when needed. We are very fortunate to have Affordable Quality as our go-to company for roof repairs

I figured it was time for a new roof earlier this summer so I reached out to these guys to get an idea for the price. They sent an estimator out to me at no cost, not only that but the price was competitive and to my surprise the work was even covered by my homeowners insurance given some storm damage from earlier in the Spring.

I contracted with Affordable Quality to have a leak repaired on my roof. The contractor provided an estimate of $500.00 for the work with a promise to submit pictures of the work before and after the repairs. The bill was duly paid but the evidence of the repairs was never submitted. The leak got worse damaging more of my ceiling. Called the Affordable Quality Office to schedule a technician to come and take another look at the problem and was given a schedule for a Thursday 1:00-3:00 PM. To ensure punctuality, I called the office to confirm the schedule and even after 4:30 PM no one showed up. The office secretary questioned whether I was calling the right number. This experience leads me to conclude that the services of Affordable Quality are neither of quality, affordable, or reliable.

Initial quote was for about $2K's worth of work. However, when they were done I was presented with a bill for $7K!!! So much for affordable!

To make matters worse, the roof started leaking due to them using the wrong material (I'm not a roofer, but three other roofing companies have seen it and agree).

There are plenty of good, and honest roofing companies out there. I don't want these bait-and-switch scammers coming near my house anymore. I fixed the problem with DryHome... they have great customer service (and are ACTUALLY affordable).
