Dan at Advocate Construction is the BEST! Dan is the honest, reliable and transparent unlike a lot of other roofing companies Dan and Advocate will not tell you your roof needs to be replaced unless it REALLY does need to be replaced. They value relationships over a quick transaction.

Dan and his team is Fabulous. They are hard workers and know how to work with the insurance to insure you get what you deserve for your roof. They also always keep pictures on file of your roof to have proof of future damage.

A year after work was completed, they tried asking for more money. After speaking with our insurance company we have found they submitted a fraudulent invoice to our insurance trying to collect money for work they did not do. Desperate people and companies do desperate things. They hired counsel to write me a letter to collect on this fraudulent claim. I cannot recommend a company that submits false records to insurance companies.

I had hail damage on May 30th. My insurance agent recommended Dan at advocate construction. I had Dan review the damage. He did an excellent job working with the insurance adjuster and replacing the roof with the shingles that I wanted on a day that worked for me. His crew was large enough that they finished in one day by 3:30 including cleanup. They did excellent work.

Dan and his crew did an outstanding job replacing my roof in Denver in one day. Dan went above and beyond by meeting with the insurance adjuster and taking lots of photos of the hail damage. He even sent the new shingle information to my insurance agent to lower my insurance bill.

We had a really great experience with Dan. He kept me well informed of each step through the process of our hail damage. The team doing the roof worked fast and efficiently and left our property like the found it. I'm always nervous with contractors, but Dan made it so smooth.

Still awaiting repairs from the hail storms from May/June 2023. We got our roof replaced after hounding them, but it's always last minute excuses and we've caught them in several lies regarding material ordering, scheduling, and insurance submittals. We had the roofing materials sitting on our roof for over 2 weeks and when the crew finally got scheduled after we kept bugging them, they called the night before and rescheduled because the "whole crew got sick." Conveniently, the disorganized office manager sent out the invoice with expected payment after they canceled. Supposedly they had a hard time finding and ordering a siding to match last year, but then about a month ago they finally showed up with their siding contractor to actually look at the job and get the process rolling. Last time I managed to get a hold of anyone, Dan fed me another lie about waiting for insurance to process their supplemental submittal and told me it'd be another 3 weeks at least, which I've confirmed with our insurance company has never been sent.

Looking through all these 5 star reviews, several of them are from people who work for this company; I'd imagine many others are family and friends. Bogus business ethics. Clearly their real clients get hosed and they just keep collecting insurance money.

It's one thing to get swamped with a storm and have more business than you can handle, but at least be honest and communicative about it. Going to take a suggestion from another recent poor review and file a report with the BBB to see if that gets us anywhere.

Quick and professional replacement of our hail damaged roof shingles and gutters. They also replaced hail damaged window screens and window panels.

The shingles replacement took only one day!
That included removal of the old ones and installation of the new ones. They also cleaned up all the debris, fallen nails, etc.

I have had multiple roofs in my life in Colorado. Last hail storm Advocate was recommended to me by someone I highly respect. So... This roof is the nicest, prettiest, best looking roof I have had on my home. I left in the morning and when I came home the grounds were very well cleaned and the roof done. Everything they said they would do they did to the inth degree. I found ONE nail around all sides of the house, in the rocks, ONE! I have my roofing company for life! The guys should be your only choice!

These idiots called me using a recorded message and then when the live person came on, they claimed this was a PSA ! They are just calling every Wellington number listed for Hail damage and claim they can force your insurance to honor construction repairs even if the claim has already been denied. Dan and his crew did a great job with adding additional roof vents and also replacing a vent including ducting. Dan is responsive to messages, prompt, and makes sure all your plans and concerns are conveyed to the crew. Dan showed up at the beginning and came back at the end to review the work. The crew is also resourceful and knowledgeable. We didn't have the exact parts but they were able to fashion the duct to fit perfectly. When they were sealing the vent, he went ahead and sealed the other vents and nails on the roof. I highly reccomend this crew!

Got owner Scott stop by to check the little cracks I had on my ceiling since I thought I might have roof leak. The Scott was on time, very friendly, take off his shoes before he enter my house . He went into my attic and confirmed there is no roof issue or water leak in the roof. I appreciate him to stop by within 24 hours to provide me with a quick inspection. I would consider him for my future roof replacement.

I hired Advocate Construction when I incurred hail damage to my home. Our home was re-roofed with an improved shingle and we were more than happy with the outcome.

So when my brother's home was damaged by a tree removal company I immediately called Advocate Construction to be our contractor for the repairs. The scope of the damage sustained by the tree company to the home was extensive. A third of the roof needed to be repaired, the interior drywall had to be replaced, new texture, paint, re-sanding wood floors, window and gutters replacement, new exterior paint, and the list goes on. Each of the repairs were handled by qualified, professional tradesmen. Dan made sure each repair was completed down to the last detail. The communication during the project was beyond stellar. I would recommend this company and will forever be grateful for the advocacy they provided when we had to work with the insurance company. Kudos! Thank you! Reliable! Integrity! Professional! Dan is an amazing man. He came to our house and inspected our roof for free. He found that we didnt have an actual roof issue, rather a swamp cooler problem. He checked the swamp cooler line, which he didnt have to do, and told us what was wrong with it and that we had to call an AC unit person. Amazing. Then he climbed up on our roof and fixed the roof lining gutter thing that was falling off the roof for free. Then he called to check on us to make sure we were good. He did all this out of his desire to ensure that people who call him are taken care of. It wasnt about money. It was about helping us out. For that, you cant go wrong with a man that has this amount of character, honesty and pure intentionality. Call him, you wont find a more honest, knowledgable and professional roofer.

In July our foothills property was slammed by a once in a lifetime ice ball hail storm. It was a short storm, didn’t make the news, but caused extensive damage to two vehicles that were out of the garage. When the insurance adjuster identified several thousand dollars in auto damage I became worried about the roofs on our house and outbuildings. I knew that an adjuster from the insurance company would say the roof was 27 years old and had little value. Then she would come up with a settlement of a few thousand dollars while the true damage could be tens of thousands.

My son said that if I was concerned about the adjuster that I should call Advocate Construction. He had heard about them from a super satisfied customer and Advocate was working to repair damage to his home from a hail storm. Scott from Advocate came to our house and offered to advocate for us by being onsite when the insurance adjuster evaluated the damage. Scott and the adjuster evaluated the damage together and when the insurance settlement arrived it was sufficient to replace all roofing on all buildings with upgraded materials and repaint the house. Advocate and their roofing crew got the work completed within a few weeks of the settlement, the job was done professionally, the cost was reasonable, and the result for our property was a huge increase in value.

Without Advocate being there for us we would have had a settlement that’s 1/3 or less than what we received. And we would have ended up with either 1) a patchwork of partially repaired roofing and no paint job, or 2) a huge out of pocket expense to get the complete repair. Either way - a repair or complete replacement - we would have still been forced to find someone to do the work, and every grifter and thief was trolling our neighborhood looking for roofing work.

Please give Advocate the chance to advocate for you.

Fantastic, ethical company. I called because I had a shattered skylight over my patio and Dan came out to take a look. Turns out the manufacturer is no longer in business but he took the time to locate the right size, order it and came out within a week or so to put things back together. He charged me his price for the materials and a set, very reasonable fee, for the labor. Even got a thank you card from him/the business. Will definitely use them again! Thanks!

After a recent hail storm, we were deluged with phone calls from people saying that they were going to be in our neighborhood and wanted to do a free inspection. I don't trust those people and refused all their offers.

One day my doorbell rang and a very pleasant gentleman was on the porch and began to tell me about the damage that hail could do to asphalt shingles. He demonstrated a very thorough knowledge of shingles, roofs and construction in general and quickly convinced me that he was the real deal! He inspected my roof and took pictures of the damages and convinced me that I needed to file a claim. That gentleman turned out to be the Owner and CEO of the company - Mr. Scott Swauger.

Scott acted as my consultant or "advocate" when I filed my claim and was there when the adjuster came out to inspect as well. Scott accompanied the adjuster and pointed out damages that I had no idea were there! As we went through the process and found items that cost more than the insurance estimate listed, Scott worked with the insurance company on my behalf to get the cost adjusted.

His contractors are all first rate and did quality work. His company only uses quality products and provides a five year workmanship warranty. It just doesn't get any better than that!

Needless to say, Scott, or his representatives, are a valuable asset and having them on your side gives you a huge advantage as you work through the insurance process!

Fabulous experience for Dan to come out and certify my roof. Professional and quick service all wrapped up into one company. Not only did he certify the roof but went over and above and caulked the few possible spots that might have needed it in like 10 years.
Also, the company responded to the need of certifying the roof with a paid invoice within a day so that closing on the house would not be pushed.

Dan is one of the few honest roofers in the biz. Much of the competition is just there during hail season and then they go out of business or change their name so they don't have to uphold their warrantee . . . Dan is there and ALWAYS gives an honest appraisal of your roof and its condition . . . if you don't have damage he will tell you so. If you need a new roof he will get it done right and done on time.

During the 2018 CO hailstorm, we got a large hole in a skylight and water was coming in. The company our insurance recommended to help wasn't able to come until the next day, but our neighbor had talked to Dan (a project manager) at Advocate Construction, and he offered to come by that night and put a cover on it--not just a tarp, but it had adhesive (sorry I can't remember the technical name!). He wouldn't accept any payment, we hadn't signed any contract, he just said it was the right thing to do. We ended up having Advocate replace our roof, skylights, and gutters and a few damaged screens. Dan kept us well informed about timelines and updates. They want to be there when the insurance adjuster comes too, so nothing is missed. Dan wasn't able to be there then, but the owner of the company came instead! The roofing crew was very polite, cleaned up after very well. I am really glad we found them, and will definitely use them again next time. We've had the roof replaced 3 times on this house, and Advocate has been the best by far. Plus they are local.

Last year our roof was severely damaged by a large hail storm that hit the littleton area. We contacted and met with several contractors including Advocate Construction. It was apparent from the first meeting with their superintendent; Dan McGrath, that he was extremely knowledgeable regarding roofs and the damage caused by hail. He spent a great deal of time inspecting the roof and then additional time instructing me on the extent of the damage. He also met with our neighbor and we both made the very easy decision to contract with Advocate. Per our request, they scheduled the replacement of our roof at a time convenient for us and replaced both roof in one day. The workmanship of the crew was outstanding and Dan closely supervised the project from start to finish! I will continue to utilize the services of Advocate for my construction needs from here on out and sincerely recommend them to those who are looking for true craftsmanship and customer service at a competitive price!
