His attention to detail combined with outstanding customer support ensured that I was informed every step of the way. If issues arose, he quickly identified remedies at a reasonable price. He completely transformed my house, both inside and out. Without doubt, he is 100% trustworthy and reliable. We had the large window in our foyer replaced that was initially installed by a Lowe’s contracted repair company and that window was installed incorrectly and leaked for many years. We contacted Advanced Home Exteriors to give us an estimate and within several days of receiving our estimate we decided to go with Advanced Home Exteriors! This company had the new window installed within a day of starting the whole process and the guys are the absolute best and very professional. I work from home so all of this was done while I took multiple calls and proceeded through my work day with minimal interruptions (they would let me know when they were going to make noise) and they were polite as well as allowed me to get in their way several times when I needed to get by where the work was being done! I give Advanced Home Exteriors a 10 out of 10 and would recommend them for your next home improvement project! Well priced and came in exactly on time for the project estimated time! Thank you guys!

I couldn't let 2023 go by without leaving a review about the incredible work that Jay and his crew did on our home a few months ago. Jay was extremely personable, professional, and knowledgeable when he came out to look at our house and give us a quote to replace all of the siding on the back of our house, to replace the roof on our shed, and to replace a pillar on our front porch. He was able to quickly work us in to get the work done and kept in very close communication with me throughout the job, which was really important to me. Jay matched the siding on our 20 year old home perfectly. Work was completed within 1 1/2 days and we could not have been happier with the result. Jay and his crew did exceptional work. There is no doubt in my mind that we will contact him for all of our future needs.

Jay and his crew recently replaced my mom's Masonite siding with vinyl. The workmanship is top notch. My mom LOVES it and the house looks so much nicer. I call/text Jay about everything concerning my mom's house and everytime he is super friendly and explains things to me. I know he probably gets tired of me calling but you would never know by the way he speaks. He makes you feel like you are his one and only customer. My mom thinks he is her personal house fixer Even the men working on the house were super nice and answered my questions.

Outstanding work on our second job with AHE. This time we hired them to replace two walls of wood siding with Hardie plank, install a pair of French doors, and install proper flashing on skylights. All of this took about a week. As before, we are very impressed with Jay and his crews, and we have lined up more jobs with them. When you find a contractor you trust, you keep them!

Siding Replacement
I can not speak more highly of Jay Rollston and his extremely skilled team at Advanced Home Exteriors. They epitomize professionalism in every sense of the term. At initial consultation, Jay truly listened to what we needed and took his time to explain the work to be done and to ensure ever area of our concern was addressed, then, the timeliness of getting the job scheduled and started and finally upon completion he personally walked us around the house, pointing out every little thing that was done to make sure it met our expectation ( it all exceeded our expectations by the way ). But it wasn't all Jay, his team was so impressive with their exceptional attention to detail and the efficiency in how they went about it, it truly showed the years of experience and pride that they take in their work.
Throughout the entire process Jay communicated with us constantly to let us know what was done and what will be done next, this gave us a real sense of trust and assurance. Working with Advanced Home Exteriors was not just a pleasure but a real breath of fresh of air, letting us know that there are still good people out there!

I had a leaking window but could not isolate the root cause. Before I connected with Jay, I was getting the run around between window companies trying to upsell me a new window and a gutter repair company, who tried twice-unsuccessfully-to resolve the problem. Once Jay and Tim came onsite they took their time investigating the area and identified the most probable cause: step flashing that was not properly installed. After that was fixed, Tim tested the repair with my garden hose to confirm water was not entering at the window. It was not. However, about one week later during a heavy rain, water was leaking at the inside of the window. Jay and Tim returned a few days later but this time investigating the roofing above the window. They discovered a nail that had popped up and left an exposed hole. Tim repaired and sealed the hole. Now, after two heavy rains, no water is entering the window. Bit of a story to highlight great customer service, and follow through on a problem that was not easy to diagnose. I'm happy to write this review and recommend Advanced Home Exteriors LLC.

Top notch contractor. Jay and his crew were hired for repairs on our home to get it ready for market and did an outstanding job.

Jay is easy to work with. Jay listens, and is polite and flexible. Jay and his crew completed our roof in less than 1 day. When recent porch work needed tweaking, Jay fixed it free of charge.

Jay and his team completely remodeled our deck, removing all of the old wood flooring, handrails and stairs and installing all new Trex material. The work was done during the hottest time of the summer and they still completed the job in a timely manner. Jay kept me informed of some small things that needed to be repaired as they worked such as additional bracing under the deck and replacing a beam from the deck to the corner of the roof and he kept the price of the additional work low. I will certainly use Advanced Home Exteriors in the future for more remodeling. The deck is beautiful and the work was superior.

We have hired Advanced Home Exteriors many times over the past few years. The owner, Jay Rollston, and his crew have always done excellent work for us!! Most recently we hired Jay’s company to do a complete remodel on a rental property we own. They did a major rebuild on the inside, due to complete negligence by our tenant. The floor had to be taken down to the studs , and all the plumbing had to be replaced as well. In addition to redoing the inside of the house , Jay and his crew installed a new roof, new windows and replaced the exterior with vinyl siding . They did a really great job!! Communication was key, as this job took several months ! Jay and my husband were constantly talking through every step of the work that was being done.
As I said at the beginning of this review Advanced Home Exteriors have done several jobs for us … and the work is always top notch ! I would highly recommend Jay and Advanced Home Exteriors !!

Jay promptly called me back when I asked for an estimate and said he would look at my house within a few days but weeks later he never gave one or responded to my inquiry. You don’t have to take every job that’s offered but you should let the customer know if so and not leave them hanging in my opinion.

Jay and his crew recently completed a 98% full tear off and replacement of our 40 year old home exterior including roof, siding and new construction windows. In late April, on a Friday morning, we began the quest for local contractors to provide us with a budgetary quote on the above items, with the intentions of spacing the work out over a three year period. That same afternoon, we arrived home to 2" of hail on our back deck which, significantly moved the timeline for us.

Six different contractors were invited to quote. Three, including Advanced Home Exteriors showed up and quoted the work. Jay was the first one to look the job over and had a full, professionally written estimate to us within a very short period of time. In fact, even before the last contractor even came to look at the work. For budget purposes, one contractor was 1.5 times higher, and the other was roughly the same with the terms for any unforeseen/additional work terms being significantly higher, (especially in hindsight).

Several additional unforeseen items were discovered during the process which added time and additional expenses. Each step was explained in detail. Game plan(s) were formulated quickly and responsibly. Change orders handled in an efficient manner. Even with the additional costs, the project still came in within ~10% of the total quoted amount.

We are glad that we found them which, in large part was due to these reviews. Why not the full 5 stars? ONLY due to the total time for completion. And, those were due to circumstances beyond our control as well as that of the company in our opinion.

Jay and his crew were amazing!!! They did a roof and some porch work for us and we were extremely happy with the outcome. They were very professional from beginning to end. We were notified every step of the way about what was going on and how we wanted to handle things. This company does quality work, everything in a timely manner, and cleans up behind themselves very well. They were also very knowledgeable about what they were doing and about listening to what you wanted the outcome to be. Also Jay the owner, answered the phone or got back with you promptly everytime. Customer service was A+!! Would recommend this company to everyone.

Advanced Home Exteriors did an outstanding job on my property and did way more than exterior work. Right from the start the owner of the company Jay called me guaranteeing his excellent work and he was right. Throughout the whole process my point of contact was Jay and he updated me weekly, sometimes daily. I had work done on my house while being 3,000 miles away and Advanced Home Exteriors helped me with everything. Not only did they do my roof and siding but they also did some electrical work, paint, and deck repair even fixing other contractors bad work! Advanced Home Exteriors can do it all and I highly recommend them.

Advanced Home Exteriors put on new siding, new windows, and cut 3 new windows in our drafty old Church Hill home. We could have not asked for a better experience with such a big project. This is my second time using this company and I will use them again in the future. I had a roof done with them three years ago with no problem-competitive pricing and very professional staff. This year I had some bead board placed under my carport. No problems-fast and professional..

If you are looking for an honest company that you can trust with your biggest investment, Advanced Home Exteriors is a safe bet. I own a home in VA, but live in RI. Jay, the owner, coordinated with me and my tenants over the course of the vinyl siding project. He kept me informed of the process. During the removal of my house's wooden planks, he found a great deal of structural rot and damage. I was concerned that my budget would be broken; however, Jay was very fair with me and did not take advantage of the situation. He and his team solidly rebuilt the areas of my house's structure that had been damaged. He even repaired the vinyl siding in my detached garage as part of our initial deal. After the job was completed, I went to VA to see the house and I feel the pictures do not do the house justice - it is beautiful! The quality of materials and craftsmanship is evident. I could not be more pleased with the results of vinyl siding project!

We just had our 30 year old Masonite siding replaced with quality vinyl siding by Jay and his team. We absolutely love how our house looks now. The quality of the work exceeded our expectations. I contracted Advanced Home Exterior to make some repairs to my slate roof and exterior wood siding. Not only were the repairs made quickly, but at an affordable price, and to high degree of craftsmanship.

I have used Advanced Home Exteriors (AHE) on two recent projects. Patrick (Jay) and his crew did vinyl siding on my two story home in March and built a front porch with a roof in June. If you could have seen my home prior to the work, it would be completely unrecognizable! It looks that darn good! Not a day goes by that someone in my neighborhood stops to tell me how good the improvements look. One of my neighbors even brought me a bottle of wine to enjoy on my new porch because she was so impressed with how well everything came along.

One of the qualities I loved about Jay and his crew at AHE is they showed up on time. That says a lot to me about contractors and believe me I have had bad experiences. There was never a day when I wondered if and when the crew was going to show up with AHE. They were prompt in the mornings and did not cut out early in the evenings.
