I had the pleasure of having Rocky's crew come to my house and install a new roof onto my home. They were quick and attentive. Able to answer all of my questions before hand and any that came up during the install. I will be using them in the future for my home improvement projects.

I have had the pleasure of using Active One Construction many times in my home. New kitchen granite counter tops, wood flooring, attic insulation, glass block in the basement and a replacement roof. We recently used the services of Active One for the purchase and installation of new Marvin Infinity and Elevate windows to replace our 28 year old vinyl windows. Right from the beginning Rocky Bond impressed us by the diligent manner he exhibited in meeting with us to assess our window requirements and then walking us through the various options available. At no time did he use any high pressure sales techniques. Instead he educated us about what competitive products offered and let us make the decisions. The quoted price for the windows and installation was fair and met our expected budget for the project.

Despite a manufacturing delay because of the COVID pandemic, Rocky and his team were able to expeditiously order, acquire and expertly install 14 windows plus build out and finish a bay window. Throughout the process Rocky kept us informed about window delivery and professionally coordinated with us to meet our requirements regarding installation timing to accommodate some unexpected hurdles on our end.

The installation was professionally accomplished with Active One's own installers who have worked together for 30 years. Rodney, Andrew and team installed our new windows in extremely cold February temperatures while making every effort to be as unobtrusive and sensitive to our needs as possible. They arrived when they said they would and left our home clean when they completed the work every day during the installation process.

I first contacted Rocky, the owner of Active One, as part of my search for new full replacement windows. My current windows were over 40 yrs old. I met with and secured estimates from four national window representatives. I should say that I extensively researched windows before sitting down with any of the company representatives, so I understood what I as dealing with. I was impressed with Rocky's presentation that did not involve anything pushy or gimmicky, such as this offer is only good for today only. He was straightforward about Marvin Windows, what he could do and what he could not do, and what would look best given my home's architecture--Tudor ranch.

I had 18 casement windows to replace including two large five-panel bow windows. His price was not the highest and not the lowest, but I was sold for two reasons: the quality of Marvin Windows and Rocky's friendly and informative discussion of the product and installation process. One of the important points was that all of the installation would be done by his crew, who have been working at Active One for many years. The other window companies were going to sell me the windows and then farm out the installation to other contractors. That can put the home owner in the middle of any dispute about a problem in the future. I should mention also that his crew including Stephan, Joe, Rodney, and Andy were polite, friendly, helpful, and extremely good at what they do. They impressed me over and over with their attention to detail, and I have to say that Stephan has the eye of an artist that the results clearly show.

After signing a contract for new windows I thought that I should probably replace my old front door and storm door. Once again, Rocky gave me options and suggestions and we settled on the two doors that meet the same standards as the Marvin Windows in quality and installation. In passing, I also mentioned to Rocky some other projects I had in mind and when I mentioned removing my old fiberglass tub/shower and replacing it with a walk-in ceramic tile shower Rocky let me know his crew does that as well and he gave me ideas and then a price we settled on. Once again, the quality and workmanship in the new shower area exceeds any of my expectations. My new shower is in fact just stunning in aesthetics and function. Rocky, by the way, has been very good at steering me toward design, color, and style with the windows, doors, and shower. I might have made a couple of regretful errors without his suggestions.

I have some other projects planned down the road, and while it's smart to get other contractor's estimates, all the work completed by Active One has been competitive in price and superior in quality. I will certainly meet with Rocky about any of my future projects. As you can guess, I give Active One my highest recommendation for your home improvement projects. From sales, to product, to installation they live up to the highest standards.

I had no previous experience and called Active One just by chance. Rocky and the crew at Active One are top-notch. Quality products, quality work and great service. They did both new construction and replacement windows for our whole house and we could not be happier with them.

Last year my wife and I bought an older colonial home that required head to toe remodeling / refurbishing to bring it out of the 1960s and into the 20th century. Out of all the companies that worked in our house over the past 18 months, from replacing the roofing, to head to toe kitchen remodeling, to foundation crack repair, plumbers, electricians, HVAC, to floor installers.... you get the picture... Active One was by far without a doubt the most professional, attentive to detail, communicative, and quite frankly friendly, contractors we’ve had out thus far. They replaced every window in our house, and we could not be happier with their work.

From the first interaction to the last, Rocky and his team were a pleasure to work with. We had four other window companies come out to give quotes, and after each one left our house my wife and I felt like we were being taken for a ride, pressured into a sales pitch, and quite frankly not being respected as home owners about to make a very large financial decision. Now I typically loath back and forth negotiations such as this, but Rocky was very approachable and down to earth. At no point in time did we feel like he was pressuring us, and he worked with us for over an hour on the initial visit to ensure that the quote he wrote up would be exactly what we wanted and as competitively priced as possible.

Low and behold, when one of his competitors - a much larger regional company that had a fast talking pushy sales rep who was downright rude and offensive to us (my dog was growling at him even- always trust a dog’s judgement of character!) came back with a lower price on their quote, I called up Rocky and we were quickly able to come to an agreement on a price that was fair and competitive. Rocky rearranged his schedule, and within the hour was sitting at our dining room table signing the contract. We handed Rocky the deposit check, and as soon as he looked us in the eye and whole heartedly shook our hands, we knew we made the right decision.

Now let’s talk about the actually installation! One of the reasons we decided to go with Active One over one of the bigger companies was quality and pride of work. Rocky made it a point to say “when you take a job with a bigger company, you never know what crew you’re going to get- the A-team, the B-side, or whatever sub contractor they farmed the work out to that week. With us, you’re going to get my brother Rodney and his partner Andy who have 50 years of experience. They are our installers- we don’t have a B-crew.”

Rocky was true to his word. Rodney and his partner Andy were everything one would want out of a contractor. They showed up every morning right on time, walked us through the day’s project and what they were doing every step of the way, cleaned up after themselves daily, and would ask our input if any little issue arose. Their carpentry skills are impeccable, both on the inside of the house and the outside frames. At no point in time did I ever feel the need to “check their work” so to say- these guys are true pros and didn’t cut a single corner. They treated our home as if it was their own.

They replaced a big bay window in our kitchen, and when we got home from work that day we were blown away by how absolutely transformational it was to the room. After a few minutes of gawking at our beautiful new bay, my wife had a suggestion for adjusting the trim on the window. This was going to be the focal point in the room and we wanted it to be absolutely perfect. I spoke with Rodney briefly about the different options we had to adjust the frame and he didn’t hesitate to redo the trim- effectively spending a few more hours on the project than was originally required to ensure we got exactly what we wanted.

Beware. This company replaced some glass in an existing frame which started leaking after 4 years.
They have a 1 year warranty on work they do so said I was out of luck.
This caused significant damage to my drywall, insulation, tile foundation around fireplace etc.
They stated was due to the frame however they were the ones who worked on it.
Damage caused by lower outside seam not holding and water getting under.

Active One replaced 13 windows on a home we recently purchased. They were very professional, from the first visit to quote the job until the job was finished. Their guys are thorough, respectful of you and your property and after their cleanup at the end you never would have known they were here. We plan on replacing several more windows next year and the roof and they have earned our business. I would highly recommend them.
