Brad Dennis and his staff did a wonderful job for me. Removed glass skylights from the ceiling of my Florida room and built new wooden domed ceiling and stained it to match the rest of the room. They were on time, worked hard and cleaned up behind themselves each day. And they didn't let my kitties escape! Highly recommend this group of professionals!!

This is the fourth time I've used the DHI team. All experiences were great, including porch expansion, window replacement, reroofing and most recently installation of new granite counters/splash in kitchen. No complaints at all. They excel in communication, timeliness, quality of work and cleanup. Coleman (their interior lead) supervised my kitchen job. What a star he is! Greatest communicator ever and manages subs effectively. Can't recommend DHI more highly.

I don't often write reviews but felt the need to do so based on my experience with this firm. After contacting several home improvement companies and general contractors, I decided that Dennis Home Improvement was the one that understood what I wanted to accomplish with a room addition. Greg and his crew did a great job...from start to finish. They were on time, professional, and did a good job of maintaining the worksite. As we progressed through the project Greg had a number of suggestions which worked out very well and added to the appearance and function of the room. He was flexible, incorporating various changes that I requested.
We are very pleased with the finished project and would recommend Dennis Home Improvement with no hesitation.

The common understanding is that construction is stressful, messy, inconvenient, and takes forever. That understanding only comes from those who don't work with Greg!

We built a garage with a guest room above it and the construction was fast, professional, and was as stress-free as one could ask for. The communication was excellent, clear, and fast. The workers were friendly, respectful, worked clean, and were extremely professional in a challenging environment. Their bid was by far the most competitive. I was given their information by a friend and have been thoroughly pleased with everything. Mr. Davis is quick, courteous, knowledgeable, and really cares about getting the job done right for the customer.

I worked with them to identify and repair a water leak done on my mother's house. Mr. Davis immediately pointed out that two sections of the roof were improperly done by the folks who did her roof 8 years ago and drafted up some quotes. He went out of his way to drive out of town to obtain shingles that would match the house, even though the location was on the backside. They even got to the work within a week or two of scheduling, and it wouldve been a little sooner if not for a bit of rain. That kind of service is rarely found, at least from my experiences.

If you want professional work done and to walk away feeling like you got more than your monies worth, this should be your pick.

Larry Dennis & Son Home Improvement re-roofed our home this week. They removed 2 layers of shingles, old tar paper, and replaced some boards that needed to be replaced. They put down new roofing felt, architect shingles, and reflashed where necessary. We are very confident with the work, and know Larry Dennis stands behind his work as this is not the first time we have done business with Mr Dennis. His crew is hard working and attentive to detail. I was concerned about many boxwoods and other plants that surround our home, but the crew was very careful with all the plants and no damage was done. The crew did an excellent job of cleanup. Thank you for a job well done.

After a distressing roof leak, and upon the recommendation of a trusted friend, I found Dennis Roofing. I worked with Larry Dennis, and his Team. They were all a pleasure to work with, and I considered the work to be a job well done. Dennis and team did a great job on my cover porch from start to finish very happy how everything turn out.

I discovered a problem that appeared to be serious water damage/rot to the structure of my home. Even though was out of town they came by to get an idea of what was happening they saw enough to know I had a time sensitive issue. They said they would try to get to me in a few weeks and I said fine lets do it. They came out to provide a detailed estimate and realized it was a bit worse and quickly schedule me for the repair. All of this while I was away. They can out the following Monday and I was there. They arrived on time and got to work. Small efficient crew that knew what they were doing. Their leadership came out several times during the day to check on the progress and they finished it in a day. I watched the work they did and they explained it to me when I had questions. The repair looked great and they even did some other minor fixes to the siding they saw. After that they cleaned everything up and left. The invoice was what I was quoted, no surprises. I'm trying to get a time scheduled with them now for an estimate to cover my patio so yes I would use them again. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a contractor with great history in the area and that does quality, timely work without "surprises" at the end.

I hired Dennis Home Improvement to complete our back patio extension, and finish the room over the garage. Overall we are 100% satisfied with the work that was done. Communication is a big thing with me and Greg was there to answer questions, or handle issues through the entire time.

I reached out and got a quote very quickly. I had already had an idea what the overall cost was for both jobs based on research and building my shed. When the quote came back the overall cost was dead on what I had estimated. They started framing on day one and by the end of day 2 the new patio cover was built and shingled. Trades came to hang drywall, as well as electrical for the patio and mini split. Then the drywall was tapped, then sanded/painted the next day. I had noticed an issue with some of the tape joints and Greg had the trades out there the next day to correct.

During the rough in inspection there were a couple of things identified. Greg had the crews out the next morning, and by lunch the rough in inspection passed. From that point the siding crew was out to install facia, soffits, ceiling, and siding. There were times when they seemed very technical, and others not so much. With that being said anything I identified was corrected. Patrick from Retro Air, LLC was out to install the mini split. I was installing the vent hoods, and Patrick didn’t hesitate to provide advice with a ducting question. Even after the final inspection passed Greg noticed two pieces of siding that had a dent. He is having his guys replace those. I would definitely hire Dennis Home Improvement again.

So as I said communication was amazing, but during most of the days there wouldn’t always be someone at the site that spoke English which is not a plus. So if I saw something it would be hard to explain. With that being said I could reach Greg by phone easily and he would jump on top of it. Another con are the two things identified by the inspector. Not that the inspector found them but that it got to inspection with the two issues.

I will be finishing the outdoor kitchen area, as well as flooring and trim in the FROG. Thanks again and to Greg and his team at Dennis Home Improvement.

Greg Dennis and his team are amazing. From the reasonable quote to the extras I added along the way- I won't go with anyone else! We had a screened porch demolished and rebuilt, encountered a few house problems (rotten header board!) along the way that Greg quickly responded to in order to correct. The new porch is more beautiful than I could have imagined. We also ended up having them to remove/install new French doors, a window and exterior siding. The crews were great to work with - they got along wonderfully, worked HARD and cleaned up daily! I won't hesitate to call them for future projects!

We contacted Dennis Home Improvement and spoke to Greg Dennis about renovating the entire exterior of our home. Mr. Dennis came out and gave us a very detailed estimate so there was no surprise cost. The renovation included tearing down an old front porch and replacing it with a new one, installing vinyl siding to the entire house, gutters, doors and building a two car carport with a breezeway. His team was very professional and came out everyday and worked so diligently until the entire job was completed. Dennis Home Improvement was recommended to me by a friend and I was not disappointed. Adam, the supervisor, was terrific; he sent two teams, one to replace some rotten molding around the outside of my house which was not an easy job as the molding had to be special milled; James and his team were eager to please and did a great job. We couldn’t have asked for a more professional and courteous crew. Every detail was considered and handled more thoroughly thane even we would have done ourselves. Yep of our neighbors came by during the installation to let us know that they too had used Dennis Home Improvement for their roofs and wouldn’t go anywhere else. Adam, the crew supervisor, made sure everything was done perfectly. He even painted a portion of our facia that we couldn’t get to so it would be done before the gutters were installed. The job site was thoroughly cleaned before he left and our new roof and gutters look amazing.

Lightning struck a tree in our backyard and caused significant damage to the exterior of our home! Fortunately, no one was harmed during this event.

I was frantic and stressed, worried about broken windows, damaged roof, cracked siding, etc. Homeowners Insurance kicked in but I was still left to find vendor(s) who could get the job done.

A Google search led me to Dennis Home Improvement and the fact that they offered all of the services I needed made it even better. Greg came for the initial visit and was very polite and professional. He explained what he saw and the repairs/replacements that were needed. He was understanding in terms of payments and that everything was going through insurance.

Dennis Home Improvement was timely and worked with me to provide documents I needed for insurance. Every person I worked with from Dennis Home Improvement was friendly and helpful. I recommend them to everyone I know that needs exterior work done!

We have used Greg Dennis and DHI in the past to construct our front and rear porches of our home. They did such an amazing job with the project they were one of our first calls when we needed the roof replaced on our home. Adam came out and gave us a fair and honest quote quickly and was able to get us scheduled right away to have our roof replaced. The team worked quickly to have the job done in two days and made sure that all of the debris was properly removed and they did the best job at not leaving a trace behind them. We are overly excited with the final outcome and have several more items on the to do list that we will be contacting Greg and his team to handle for us.

Had a roof leak. Came out and gave estimate on repair. Set up appointment and theywere able to get me quickly. Fixed in 1 day. Next day had a tropical depression come through and no leaks. Had heavy that weekend, no leaks. Good work. Good people.

I really wanted to part with my hard-earned $ by giving it to Dennis Home Improvement because of the great reviews here. So, one week ago (Oct 25, 2022) I used their web site "Contact Us" feature and described a small exterior project. Several additional projects are on the To Do list.

Dennis Home Improvements replaced all of my single pane windows. The only thing I can say is “ Excellent”! Greg and his crew are the best! I highly recommend them for any of your home improvement needs.

They have excellent on-hand management, as well as an experienced work force. They completed the work in the time promised. They also uncovered an unforeseen problem with a broken vent pipe and were able to correct in the same time frame. Completely satisfied with clean up, too.

i contacted D.H.I for my porch repair,and roofing replacement.Called for ideas to fix a previous contractor build,but after speaking with Greg,he put my mind at ease about the work so much so that we decided to have DHI to do a complete roof retile and repair.They even offered financing,which for us was a great option.Work was done as scheduled,super fast,neatly,and efficiently with care for our bushes and things.Roof repairs done,looks great already more quiet and comfortable inside.

Had Dennis Home Improvement repair some extensive home damage done by a fallen tree. Greg was responsive, professional and very easy to work with. We had to have our dominion power disconnected/reconnected to get the job done and they took care of all the coordination with the power company.

We contacted Dennis Home Improvement for an exterior remodel of our home. Vinyl siding,front porch decking replacement and windows replacement. Our home was completed well within the protected time. Gregory Dennis followed up daily with the progress and quality of work done. The completed work was exactly what we had hoped for. Called last week and was referred to contact Francesco. Was at my house the next day for an estimate. The following day my drywall was repaired and bathroom cabinet was returned and mounted! So happy!

My damage was over five months old and I was mislead by two other contractors. One never returned my calls, the other told me after three months he was just "too busy". Repair was the result of an insurance claim and I had delays, but that was still annoying!

Greg Dennis and Jose's team were wonderful to work with during our deck tear down and rebuild. They built exactly what we asked for. They finished the job promptly and efficiently without gaps in work days. The team graciously corrected the minor things we asked of them at the completion of the project in a timely manner. They all take pride in their work, and were just as concerned about the quality, functionality, and appearance of the finished product as their customer! I highly recommend Dennis Home Improvement! They transformed our unstable, unsightly, old wrap-around deck into a beautiful space that opens up into our backyard and beckons us to spend more time outside.

These guys reshingled a roof on a rental property of mine two or three years ago. A few decking panels needed replacing. They did a pretty good job, except the guy did substitute a composite board for the plywood decking that was specified in the contract. He charged a lower rate for the composite panels, but I did not approve the change nor was I consulted on it. And Greg was pretty testy to deal with, too. Kept telling me he was going to have to replace every single decking panel and it was going to run over 5,000 dollars, but in the end it only needed ten panels, just like I told him it would, and it only cost between 2000-3000. Seemingly if these guys can't get top dollar for a job that's way overbuilt and more than what the customer needs or asked for, then it's not worth their while to bother with. They can be kind of disrespectful and argumentative with customers if they don't get everything just their way. Absolutely would not hire again, nor would I recommend to anybody else.

EDIT: From the response below this business owner seems feel he's owed an explanation for the 2 star review. Okay, here goes. After the roofing was done in 2019 I was basically satisfied, so I got an estimate for vinyl siding, which Greg gave me a verbal in the range of 2000-3000 dollars. I didn't post a review back then because I figured I would give them the benefit of the doubt and see how the siding goes, then rate both together.

But that project was delayed because of Covid pandemic. So when I contacted the company recently, Larry answered, took a look at the building, called me back and wanted 12,000 dollars to do the vinyl siding. That's too high, so I asked him what would it cost to replace the existing 4x8 composite panels with SmartSide panels instead of doing vinyl siding, and he refused to discuss it. The remark he made below about me suggesting a "less formal installation" is an attempt to mislead people into thinking that I requested sub-code work. No I didn't. SmartSide panels are 100% approved for residential and are much better and stronger than what's on the dwelling now. Since I don't plan to do any more business with this contractor, it was time to go ahead with my review, which reflects the total experience I had.

(By the way, he also states below that he met me at the job site to discuss the siding estimate. This is also incorrect. I am out of town and have never laid eyes on Larry. He went out to look at the dwelling himself, then we had a brief phone conversation. Not sure what was reason behind this pointless falsehood.)

So to summarize: These guys started out with 5 stars for doing a good job on the roof. They lost one star for substituting composite decking panels on the roof job for the plywood ones specified in the contract, without consulting me first. They lost another star for inflating the vinyl siding estimate from 2,000 dollars to 12,000 dollars. They lost another star for having a rude, disrespectful attitude. That leaves two stars. Hope this clears everything up.

Had a large sized tree fall on the back of my home that damaged the roof and severely damaged the back attic truss and broke the ceiling of a room under the truss. I called Greg and described what happened and he was at my home in less than two hours. Greg and Jose assessed the damage and Greg rescheduled some work he had Jose and his crew on and they started repairing the roof, truss and ceiling the next day. Greg got the shingles perfectly matched up that needed replacing as well as the aluminum siding facia that the tree ripped off the house. The repairs made look great and the truss was repaired and extra bracing was added to make it stronger than the original. I highly recommend Greg and his talented work crews for any roofing and siding upgrades or repairs you need. Greg went above and beyond to make my emergency go away quickly because he cares and that is a human factor you find missing in many contractors today.

They installed a new roof 1800 sq ft home. Did a phenomenal job! Good communication, competitive pricing,showed up on time, and got my house done in one day. Jeff and Adam were present ready to answer questions and the roofers worked tirelessly from 6am-5:45pm. They are Rockstars!

Gregg Dennis is a man of his word. Exceptional work ethic. Punctuational every appointment and every day and so is his work crews. His crews are the most polite and respectful I have met in this business. We contacted Greg Dennis to replace our 20 year old-deck/ pergola with composite materials. We couldn't have been more pleased with the results and the process! Gregg was easy to work with and always returned calls promptly. All his crew members were pleasant. They started early in the morning and worked until dusk...and they worked!!! The entire process took only 6 days from demolition to "rocker ready." This has been the most pleasant construction project we have ever had. I highly recommend Dennis Home Improvement!

He has replaced a roof for me in the past and came out to repair a different roof that had issues. He is patient and straight forward about the job and what is needed to be done to repair the issue. Excellent customer service starting with Mr. Dennis, Sr. who promptly returned my calls and came by to view my windows and provided a temporary fix for my problem. We also discussed my need to update my windows and he provided me with a reasonable estimate. Mr. Dennis Sr. then followed up a few days later with a model demonstration of the windows I requested, and his son Greg and another member of the team came by a few days later to measure my windows, confirm the final details for my new windows, and their office took care of pulling the necessary permits. The members of the Dennis Home Improvement business were upfront about the time-line and possible delays, but promised to proceed as soon as possible. To my surprise, they were able to schedule the installment of the new windows much earlier than anticipated. Omar, Randy, and Marty did an excellent job installing the new windows and cleaning up and hauling away the rubbish from the work site. Replacing windows is not a cheap project. However, I would highly recommend Dennis Home Improvement for such a project as they kept their word, did an excellent job, and made the process as quick and convenient as possible. Thank you.

We needed a new roof and wanted a new gable extended over our front door area with a pergola on the side of the gable. Can't believe how fast Dennis Home improvements got this done, how great it looks and the fact it came in well below our budget and other companies estimated. They cleaned up so well after the work was completed and had kept us up to date every step of the way!

I recently purchased my home here in SC and like older homes it comes with old window and well just old stuff. While WAH during COVID I decided to take a leap of faith and get new windows and new gutters installed. After much research and several different quotes, Dennis Home Improvement, LLC was my choice. I never thought windows would make me so excited. I love the look of the windows, soffit and vinyl and my new gutters. It's finally starting to feel like a home to me. I used Dennis Home Improvement recently for a new roof. I was very impressed with the skill and professionalism of the crew. I chose this company because of some very positive friends experience. The roof looks amazing and they left the yard cleaner than when they started.

Larry himself came out to fix 3 shingles and pipe boots on my parents roof. He was rude, condescending, and said he “might” be able to fix those two simple items. These two items needed to be repaired as part of an addendum for my parents to close on the sale of their home. Larry was argumentative and just didn’t want to do those two items because the “roof is old” and he would not give me a professional answer and estimate. I would not recommend this company at all.

Always a great experience working with the members of Dennis Home Improvement. They just replaced my double carport ceiling with vinyl. It is beautiful! Recommend them highly!

Greg created a pitch on a flat roof that was collecting water, added dormers to adjacent room over the garage, and added roofing. You can count on Greg, not only that he will do the job right, but also that he will stand behind his work afterwards. This was the second time that I used his services and both times I have been very pleased.

Very happy with this company. Greg was the one who handled our project and he was very informative, honest, and professional. Our project ended up costing less than quoted and he was very honest with that.

THE best contractor experience we have ever had! They arrived at 6:15 AM on the dot and had finished and carefully cleaned up and were gone by 12:00 the next day. We could not have had a better experience, period. 5 Stars!

I could not have been more pleased with this family owned business. The owners made sure I was completely satisfied. The roofing crew were knowledgable and conscientious. The foreman obviously took pride in his work and making sure everything was well done. Three friends recommended them to me. I will recommend them to anyone who wants good service and excellent craftsmanship!

These folks did everything better than expected. If I have another roofing, siding, or window issue they will be the first and maybe the only contractor I would call.
They met the schedule came on time (would you believe that they came at 6:30AM when it is pitch black outside!) worked hard all day and left the site clean of any debris. My house was built several years ago and I am still picking up lose roofing nails! Not with Dennis Home Improvement, all the loose nails were picked up. I have not found one loose nail! They used first class materials and properly installed everything. When we hit a bump in the road, they quickly solved the issue, sometimes before I asked, without any contract issues.
My only wish is: I wish they did other types of home improvements.
If you do not use Dennis Home Improvement you are making a big mistake!

My husband hired Dennis Home Improvement to put a new roof on his mother's house. Mr. Dennis did a fantastic job and he worked with the insurance adjuster to make sure all costs were covered. I referred him to one of my friends and he built a carport onto their home that looks fantastic, perfectly matched the existing roofline and shingles, and it made her house look twice as large!! I would highly recommend Mr. Dennis for any roofing project or construction project. They also do a fine job of cleaning up any debris afterwards. Thanks!!

My father had them put new roof on his house 5-1-12 . I noticed a stain on celling awhile back . Thought it was from old roof. When I checked it was leaking from pipe boot that they replaced when roof was repaired . I Called was told that the (IPS) boot were defective . Called ABC that sells these boots said had not herd anything about that. They put on new boot (THE SAME IPS BOOT ). charged my dad 150.00 they said they only warranty there labor for five years even if we used thirty five year shingles. Plus when they put the new roof on and new ply wood. I found in the eve of roof a gap that the shingles were raised up from ply wood was put on wrong. I called they said no , but when he came out he tore off shingles and found out it was not put down wrong. He repaired and put shingles back down without putting the tar paper back told me it did not matter.
