I had a tree fall on my house and A. B. Edwards took care of everything. From replacing my gutter,, fixing the shingles on my roof and painting the inside of my house. I would recommend them to anybody who needed to have work on their house or even build them a house. They do beautiful work.

We had a new chimney cap and tuckpointing done this summer by AB Edwards. The crew was outstanding. Worked a two day schedule cleanup and was gone before we realized it. We would use them in future for other projects.

I've used AB Edwards for two large projects at my house - a full roof replacement after hail damage and existing stucco repair. On both projects, they were professional in terms of communication prior to and ultimately the quality of the work. Both projects required some components that were quoted as time & materials (removing stairs to access stucco and replacing wood decking on the roof) and both times they were fair and transparent in the process, coming in under the good faith estimates they provided before and during the work.

We needed a repair on our roof. Very professional company the process was fluid from initial consult to completion. They included photos of finished product.

We discovered that in a rarely seen part of our second floor roof, the siding had been pulled out from the wall and had become an access point for mice into our attic. I called AB Edwards and they had someone out the next day to look at it. The work to replace that portion of the siding was done the next week. The other company I had called couldn’t even come out to prepare an estimate for 2 weeks, let alone actually do the work. I appreciated the fast, quality service from AB Edwards.

Our experience with AB Edward was 5+ stars. We will definitely hire them again to do any work they are able to do on and around our home. It was so nice and very convenient to have a "one stop shop" for our masonry, roof, pavers and even caulking around the windows. Time will tell if the thorough work done on our home will stop water entry, but so far so great! (We had an ice dam on the roof on one side of our home a couple of winters ago and on another side, some chimney cracks and decided on a rebuild of the chimney to really do the job correctly) In sum, we are very happy customers and will hire AB Edward again some day (hopefully not too soon though ;-). As the owner, Andy, said, "His middle name is patience! " He was certainly patient with me as we worked together to make sure the job was done right!

We had A.B.Edward come out for a repair to our 3rd floor rooftop to stop the water leak in our master bedroom(issue for about a year). I am very pleased! The guys were great. In about 2 hours they identified the issue and fixed it! They even found other small holes around the roof and made repairs before they became an issue. Very fair pricing. I highly recommend.

Let me start by saying I am a repeat customer of A.B. Edwards. They have done 2 roofs for me. I have had the worst luck with contractors over the years. A.B. Edwards is probably the only contractor I trust!. I had the world’s worst siding on my house. I called Bo and asked what he thought I can do to fix it up. My previous contractor had done such a poor job he said I need to replace it. He referred me to Chris Ryba. For the record Chris is a very patient person. I am a real pain to deal with. I have been told I am a little neurotic. He answered all questions and all my calls. I really appreciate that. Since everyone is concerned with price, let me say they gave me what I thought was a very fair price. What they did do was a damn good job. The attention to detail kind of floored me. Everything that can be flashed was flashed. There are almost no seams length wise on the siding. They used up a lot of product to make sure my house has a smooth and finished look. Everything is sealed up tight. They corrected some poor carpentry, and even fixed an exterior wall. They also did soffit and gutters. My house was built in 1949. They literally took off 74 years of soffit and reframed everything. Chris (don’t know last name) was the main carpenter. Everything he did very impressive. He did not skip a step. I have a not so great patio set up, and they took extra steps to make sure my house would never see water. The put in extra flashing along the cement to make sure no water can get to the house. Peace of mind! They also did a lime stone cap over some fake stone I have on my house. Made it look very finished. Finally they fixed a cracked chimney cap for me. My house looks great!
If I need any further exterior work, I will be calling them.

They were wonderful to work with and went above and beyond to deal with my insurance company. Cleaned up beautifully as well, it was like they were never even there.

I have used A.B. Edward Enterprises for several house projects (replacement windows, roofing) over the last 15 years, so it was natural for me to go to them for re-siding my house. Chris described the process thoroughly and helped me on design problems. The installation was done very carefully, with complete clean-up every day. Every aspect of the work was performed meticulously. My house now looks better than when it was built, and I know that I will find it more snug in the upcoming winter. A. B. I was given a roofing estimate for my shed, the garage and for work to refasten my gutters. Many companies won't bother, but AB Edward was more than willing to do it. The price was fair, so I accepted the work on the gutters. They were on time and did the work in a little over an hour. They did a good job. I would definitely recommend them for any kind of work. Roofing estimate was a little pricey so I declined, but Andy is very thorough and recommended the gutters get refastened. He also looked at the condition of my house roof even though I didn't ask. Andy is very thorough and made sure that he looked over everything. Very professional company.

Okay, Roofs are expensive - so it's hard to talk about value as my last roof was 25 year previous. I can say that the team was on time, very professional. Little mess after they were done (seriously, like two nails - amazing). A skylight did get damaged due to the racket on the roof - but it was fixed shortly after the job was done. It's a noisy process - be aware of that! I feel like we got a quality job and can rest assured that our new roof will outlive our remaining years in this house.

I needed to have a half dozen older stucco panels and some rotting wood trim replaced on my home. I found it very difficult to find a place certified to work with Hardie stucco panels that would do replacement and repair rather than an entire home until I found AB Edward. They were very professional. Working with Eric was great. I was traveling quite a bit during the project and everything was easily handled via email and text messages. The end result looks great. All the new panels and trim match well with the existing panels. I highly recommend AB Edward and will definitely use them again in the future to repair/replace the remaining older stucco panels I have as they give way to weather, birds, etc.

The project consisted of replacing rotted roof decking and soffits, metal roof replacement and custom gutters. A. B. Edward did an excellent job. Andy the owner came out for the initial estimate and I also met with him at their Wheeling location. Their tradesmen did and excellent job and kept the work area clean. I would recommend using A. B. These guys are terrific! Replaced our roof and new insulation to our almost flat roof Glenview home, it was needed and I’m glad AB Edwards did it. Quality and experience was shown by everyone on our project … Estimator - recognized my roof problems and offered proven solutions that they routinely use, with realistic pricing; Project Manager - oversaw the work very closely, very good follow-up and communicated often and with pictures of progress; Workmen – on time and very polite, kept the worksite very neat and organized, cleaned-up nicely at end of every day; Office staff and Management – professional and prompt with emails, invoices, receipts and permit matters.
I will definitely use them again for upcoming exterior projects on my honey do list; upgrade siding, replace patio door and some masonry repair. I had replaced my garage door with frame work. It took a while to get garage door to delivered (almost took 2 month) but other than this, I am satisfied with the service quality.

It started in late 2019- we received with a quote, drawing blueprint and excellent attention to detail The plan was detailed and price was fair. The project was put on hold by us due to the pandemic. In 2021 we reached back out to them.. they said they had no capacity to move forward but reach back out in early 2022 for spring, summer installation. We did that, then they sent someone new to go over plans again. Chris ryba. He basically tried to gaslight me and say that these things weren't in the plans with the price that was written down. I said, I understand that materials costs have increased and please provide new estimate and timeline. I followed up every two weeks.. sometimes I would get a reply that he is still waiting for Hardie board estimate/timeline. now we are 5 months past quote.. and he comes back to me with "you didn't want to pull permits" (which is a not the truth)-and i told them this. HONESTLY stay away.. I'm not sure if they sold the company but the integrity and professionalism I received with the first quote (son of owner) what far from the experience that i received with Chris Ryba. They wasted my time and energy. again stay away.. owners seem to have stepped away or sold

Had a great experience with A.B. Edward for complete gutter and downspout replacement. Glad I did since I had original construction downspouts that were narrower than the newer ones. Also appreciated the time taken to walk through and explain what was recommended.

AB Edward replaced our condo building's main roof and deck, and we were so happy with them that we brought them back to do the roofs and decks on several balconies.

We have a mid-century house with a flat roof, and AB Edwards did a great job replacing a section where a leak damaged the underlayment. They also fixed the soffit below which had water damage as well. Their bid process was efficient, both projects were actually done while we were out of town on different trips, and their work was careful, clean, and really well done. Highly recommend.

We have already highly recommended A.B. Edwards to our neighbors and friends. The roof on our condo building was leaking. A.B. Edwards demolished our roof deck, replaced the roof, and then rebuild part of our deck. They put in concrete pavers and cedar fences. Their work is of very high quality. One of the owners came out several times to inspect the work being done, offered us his honest opinion, and redid work that was not up to his quality expectations. Basically, they went above and beyond to ensure we have a roof and deck that are well built and beautiful. We will use them for any and all projects in the future.

While the roof looks great, I think the team that did the work on our site was sloppy, I still find random nails and shingles around my garden. Also 3-4 months after our roof was replaced, we suddenly had an issue with one of our smoke detector's malfunctioning. The smoke detector had a water leak and we discovered that the bathroom vent was not properly attached to the roof exhaust. We were charged $200 for this vendor to look and re-attach this bathroom vent exhaust.

And maybe we didn't ask the right questions but this could have all been avoided if we were properly educated as consumers about the itemized jobs in their contract and really not even make re-attaching a bathroom vent exhaust as optional. If it was attached before, it should be re-attached after the roofing work is complete.

Working with the AB Edward team was a great experience. They were knowledgeable, consistently on time, and great communicators. More over, I have a fairly crazy work schedule and they were more than accommodating with me. 100% if we need more roof work or my friends need any we will be recommending AB Edward.

When we wanted a new roof on our old Victorian house we got estimates and ideas from several roofing contractors. We went with AB Edwards because this roofing contractor was the only one who understood what type of roof a house like ours should have. He showed us a metal shingle that looked exactly like slate that would withstand anything. We had no choice but to give the job to AB Edwards. Our house looks very authentic for the period today.

We had to replace our roof, so my wife and I contacted several vendors to come in and provide us with a quote.

AB Edward's project manager Chris was very straight forward and I felt comfortable giving him the work since he seemed knowledgable and, not too pushy.

Chris did not personally do the work, but his team that did appears to have done a lot of work with him and Chris personally came back the end of the day to help clean up and also to make sure everything was on track. Impressed with the workmanship and rather than try to sell me lots of bells and whistles, he quoted me what he thought I needed.

Regretfully hired this company to re-do the roofing on my home. After agreeing to the estimate and providing 50% the total payment cost they informed me it would take OVER 9 WEEKS to receive the roofing material finally start construction. After they had performed their "FINAL INSPECTION" the roof looked rushed and the layout was UNEVEN. When I asked them to fix my roof they informed me " THE ROOF PASSED ALL INSPECTIONS." Think twice before deciding to do business with these scammers.

I had A.B. Edwards Enterprises install a new cedar roof on my home, because the old roof got damaged after a bad storm. They also removed and replaced the gutters wonderfully and did some extra work which was quoted reasonably. All the workers were polite and professional, the project was completed within the schedule and the new roof looks perfect! I highly recommend this company to anyone in need of a top quality roofing service.

Recently purchased split level/mid century modern home in the suburbs. We were concerned as the roof had started leaking and it was very old. We knew that we were looking at a total replacement. We had three people come out to quote the job and AB was the least expensive. Typically I don't love using the cheapest, since quality can be an issue, but AB were pros from the start. The quote was by far the most detailed and easiest to understand and they were the first to get back us. Certainly a good start. From there on the work was completed in a professional and timely manner and to my surprise Andy even sent me daily pictures showing what work had been completed. The job is now complete and the roof looks fantastic. With such a large job it feels good to know we made a good choice. I would definitely recommend AB Edward to anyone looking for roofing or other siding work.

Chris was a pleasure to work with and so was the owner Bo. They weren't the lowest price, but were in the middle of the range. What sold me on them was the discussion we had with Chris in the beginning. Weather delayed our project, but that's something you need to accept when you need a roof done in the beginning of August. The people that work for them are also very professional. They were always available to us when we had questions regarding our roofing project. They completed the job quickly and correctly. I have recommended them to others and will continue to do so.

Communication was great from start to finish, we enjoyed working with Erik, and we liked that they do not use sub-contractors.
