A+ did excellent work residing our home and answered every single one of our questions leading up to the project and throughout the work. It took us longer than it should have to choose a color but we were always assured to take our time on the decision. From office to the installation team, everyone was pleasant to talk to and always professional. I would highly recommend A+!

I recently had my roof replaced by A Plus Exteriors LLC in Milford, CT.. This is my review and experience using A Plus Exteriors.

First off, I have a High Ranch style home in a development of virtually identical High Ranch homes. All homes were built in the 70’s and used gable vents in order to vent the roofs. The gable vents are literally like having 2 louvered open windows on each end of the roof. In the summer, the attic was so hot it would take the air out of my lungs if I stayed up there for more than 3 minutes.

The roof was in need of replacement, so I called a few roofing contractors. They were all in the same ballpark with their prices using the same materials. They all recommended using a ridge vent that would “theoretically” allow the hot air trapped in my attic to escape out the top of the roof.

Next, I called A Plus Exteriors LLC, and Alex Montero arrived at my home. Alex proceeded to my attic which was hot and it wasn’t even summer yet. He tells me that gable vents are a cheap and inefficient way to vent a roof used by contractors, which is why all of the houses in your development have gable vents. He went on to inform me that the neighbors who had their roofs redone with ridge vents but leaving the gables now have worse ventilation problems because the air that comes into the attic through the gable vent goes right out the ridge vent when it enters, thereby leaving the middle of the roof hot. The two venting systems are fighting each other.

Since I had insulation in my eaves, Alex suggested closing up the Gable Vents and installing an intake vent the length of the house on both sides about 2’ up from the eaves to clear the insulation to allow cool air to flow in the bottom and hot air to flow out the top by the ridge vent. I looked at every house in my neighborhood and EVERY house had a ridge vent along with Gable Vents.

That made me go online and Google informed me that everything Alex suggested was absolutely correct. It also explained why my central air system was inefficient on extremely hot days.

The lesson I learned is that there are a lot of people out there who know how to nail on a shingle calling themselves “Roofing contractors.” But there aren’t a lot of Roofing Contractors that know Roofing.

I called A Plus in April for a quote as I needed the roof repaired fairly quickly. They came right out gave a quote and then patiently waited for the financing to come thru for the work. It took almost a month, but when I called and said I was ready they literally jumped to it. I was on the schedule the same week I gave my down payment. The did the work quick and clean. I swear my yard Is cleaner now than before they came. Sent me all the requested documents and pics I asked for within 24 hours of the work. All of the people I spoke to were helpful and accommodating. While I am grateful roof don’t have to be repaired often, I am glad I went with them. They were recommended to me and I will definitely recommend them to anyone else. Alex and. Few are the best !!

The entire process was smooth, from the in person consult and estimate, to the project approval, and finally project completion and payment. I am so pleased with the work that was done by A plus! Tim was extremely helpful in explaining everything that was going to be done. The crew who re-did my underbelly of my roof did an outstanding job, they also found a leak and fixed it before the bead board was put up. I also had downspouts removed and that team also did a great job. The owner Alex met with me 2 times when I had questions and his wife in the office was a pleasure to work with. A great company, not pushy with giving you stuff you don't need for your home. I will be using them in the future for more work on my front siding. Another thing they were quick to answer my call and meet with me where others next called back or came and were not as good .

Aplus Exteriors is an honest business, offers excellent work at fair prices. All the staff, from the owner, Sales Rep., and work crews are all respectful, punctual,friendly and professional. Ray W, the sales Rep. is very patient and explains all aspects so that you understand all before you sign. The A plus crew that replaced our rood did a nice job and left no mess behind. If it wasn't for the nice new roof, you'd never know that roofer were here.

I wanted to say thank you to Alex and his team for going above and beyond what was necessary! They helped make the process of dealing with my Insurance company easy! Yes I said Easy! On top of that, the workmanship of residing my house, putting a new roof on my garage and rebuilding my shed was outstanding! I know I'm using a lot of exclamation points, but it's well warranted! They were fast, efficient and took my needs into consideration (And I'm not an easy person to please all the time). I would happily use them again and recommend them to anyone!

A Plus did 3 components of my exterior work. First the roof, Second Misc siding and and soffit updates and Third the gutters with leaf guards. Every member of each team were extremely courteous and knowledge enough to point out certain options and offering an opinion on what would work best. All 3 jobs look fantastic.and they all did a great job of cleaning up after. I highly recommend this company for all exterior work.

Last year I had A Plus exteriors replace some shingles and they did a great job. So when I had a roof leak I called them again. Ray from A Plus came and fixed the problem. Hired A Plus to install 10 feet of gutter. Their sales guy came out within a day or two of me calling to look at the job and provided a quote on the spot. They did a great job for a fair price and the install was done very fast. I stepped out to Home depot before they arrived, when I got home they were already done, cleaned up and everything.
The only thing I would suggest as room for improvement is the communications. When I got the quote I was told the gutters could be installed the following week. They were installed 3 or so weeks later and in that time it was radio silence except for an email thanking me for the business. I also did not receive any heads up what day/time the team was coming to install them. They just showed up and started working, I got home from home depot and saw a crew wrapping up. Luckily it seems the install went well and I have no complaints on that end but I think many customers would not be thrilled to come home and find a crew working on your house unannounced.
Would I use them again, probably. But I would be hounding them for timelines to make sure we schedule the work this time.

Overall great experience. We hired them to do a roof repair/replacement for a storage room off our house. They literally came the day after signing the agreement and finished the same day. The staff went above and beyond. A piece of our sheet rock on the ceiling fell down due to the extent of damage. They repaired it at no charge. Work area was left clean despite a fairly windy day.

I had a broken window and I ordered the new window to A Plus Exterior
last December 2021. They said It will take a four months to get the new
window because the pandemic.
So I was waiting for four month and got the new one they installed.
I thought they are going to replace the bottom part but they changed the whole thing at a good price.

A Plus Exterior quickly identified and fixed a small leak in my roof, which included crawling in the attic to see where the water came in. They even sealed a small hole in my siding and repaired a shutter while they were here. Most of all, they were incredibly respectful and I will definitely reach out to them in the future!

Our experience was bad from the start. The guy who was supposed to be the owner arrived very late, then he was showboating on our roof discussing the aspects of our roof while we stand looking up on him which I thought was very tacky. We used them because they had a little better price comparing to the other quotes we got however, this is one of the point I'm trying to make. To try to sacrifice a little bit more for professionalism, honesty and peace of mind. This happened months ago and I'm still picking up nails. This company have a group of boys that they used and seem to pay whatever so they do whatever. We set a time for the job and they called us after 7 the evening after we paid to asked if they could come the next day we thought oh wow. Sooner the better so we wanted to agree to the time since we missed the call. We called back several times and left messages and no response. They showed up anyways. We let them nevertheless. We have also agreed for them to change out the gutters. That didn't happen until weeks after for whatever foolish reason. We had to endure lots of rain without gutters. Plus our cover on the chimney was added later. It was a long and annoying experience and it seems they just make up stuff to tell you when you call and come whenever they're ready. The guy who came to fix the gutter broke one of my angel statue in the back and tried to removed the evidence but they didn't get all the broken pieces that fell in the cracks. I am sure because it was right after he left and I was home alone. That in itself was so distasteful. I would never recommend them to anyone they are just awful. I really could go on and on..

Cannot say enough nice things about this group and especially the workers. I've had my siding, gutters and 1/2 of my windows done by them and just today the final 5 windows - some 5 years after the siding and first bunch of windows. The work and especially the workers is ever getting better- they are/were great to begin with, but how many places can you say get better with age?? except wine?? from the top down, they are worth investigating if you are doing work on your home. they really are

Based on the great reviews and multiple recommendations I received for A plus Exterior, I was very disappointed by the assessment and quote provided by sales rep, Tim Kovalsky. I asked for an estimate for roof repair of three missing shingles - he tried to convince me that placing a claim to the insurance company to replace the entire roof was the best option (on a home we closed on only 3 days prior). When I expressed disinterest in that plan he separately called my husband to try to convince him of the same. I’m not interested in that type of predatory business tactic.

Still I asked for quotes for the remaining work we discussed - most were high ($400 to replace 2 vinyl siding panels, $1500 for 2 windows), but nothing, but I had to do a triple take when he sent me a quote of nearly $18,000 for a new exterior door!!! No thank you, we will be taking our business elsewhere.

This company put a roof on a building in our condominium complex. From start to finish it was an easy, experience. The workers showed up on time, did exactly what was expected, and the job was done professionally. The site was also cleaned up to perfection when they finished. I would highly recommend them. Office staff is great too, very easy to call and get a call back.

Alex came out performed an inspection of our issues, took pictures and explained everything. When we selected A+, they were prompt in scheduling our job, answered any questions I had and took after pictures and emailed everything once the job was complete.

If I could give A+ Exteriors ten stars, I would!! The owner, Alex, is a great guy, and he and his crew are meticulous!! Gina, is great too, and gave us a very clear proposal, warranty, proof of payment, and is always a sweetheart. Besides being great people, they did a perfect job on our roof replacement, siding and gutters, and we will definitely call on them for future projects. We certainly highly recommend them!! I had damage to my roof. My only interaction with the insurance company was to file the Initial claim. Alex went over the damage with the claim representative and was able to have the claim adjusted when the work indicated that more needed to be done. The roof replacement was done well and fast at a good price.
