Nice man but… he is *NOT* a handyman/carpenter. I hired him to install/replace doors and he butchered them (see pics). When he showed me his "completed" work, I was speechless. He told me I would never see all the gaps and screw holes because he was going to fill them with caulking (I just needed to paint them)! He left a world of mess for us to clean up (lumber with nails, sawdust and wood pieces everywhere). He also scratched our new floors and walls and ruined our door moldings. Don’t be fooled by the good reviews like we were. BEWARE!!! Note: the pics are what he did to a brand NEW door!

Rey did a fantastic job installing a door at the top of my stairs. He was friendly, on time and the door looks great. He kept me informed during the process and answered all my questions plus I thought his price for the work was very reasonable. I will definitely be using his services again!

Rey hung a very heavy mirror and fixed items in our new house that the builder messed up, helped organize our garage, thank you Rey!

We presented Rey with quite the disaster of dry rot, wet rot and structural issues all along the backside of our house. He did not hesitate to accept the job and he put forth his best effort. It was a huge task- including stripping the house down to its bones, remediation of the dry rot and surgically fixing each piece of wood that was rotten, figuring out how to re-structure where there were structural issues, re installing windows and getting the house ready for new siding and then some. Rey is beyond pleasant to work with and willing to go the extra mile. You can tell he really cares about the work he does. We can’t thank him enough and would highly recommend him to anyone that needs a handyman!

REY WAS PROFESSIONAL, ON TIME AND HE REPAIRED AND REPLACED DRYWALL IN MY STORAGE ROOM WHERE THERE WAS MOLD PRESENT. HE REPAIRED THE DRYWALL WHERE THE HOUSE SETTLED ON THE SEAM BY THE CEILING. HE TOOK DOWN WHAT HAD PULLED AWAY FROM THE SEAM. HE RE-TAPPED AND APPLIED MUD. HE MADE IT LOOK BETTER THAN IT DID WHEN I FIRST PURCHASED THE HOME. I WOULD RECOMMEND HIS SERVICES TO ANYONE LOOKING TO HAVE A JOB DONE PROPERLY.

Have you not learned that assuming is not knowing. As we are all busy with virtual school, work and stress, you could not even have the courtesy to call or send a reminder that you don’t have my address. As I stated before, no customer service are willingness to help an individual out in need.

Rey installed drywall in our dining room remodel. He is always on time, responsive and meticulous. Will definitely call again for other work! It’s really great to find someone you can count on!

I can’t say enough great things about Rey and his work! I hired Rey to do several projects around the house, including the unexpected garage frame which had very large water damage. The finished projects came out amazing! He has a solid, professional demeanor, courtesy, communication, knowledge, and craftsmanship is far above the average. His work speaks for itself.

CT Handyman Services provided quality and timely service. Both Rey and son Paul installed custom made vinyl roll up curtains over the screen on my deck. Some unexpected issues came up and they were able to adjust the installation to include reframing the area to ensure a perfect fit. Highly recommend them for your next project. I most certainly will utilize their services in the future.

Rey proved himself both 'handy' & resourceful in helping me with a few things in need of repair or replacement in our Heritage Village condo (Southbury). He was able to get a new storm door installed perfectly, despite the local retail outlet sending us the wrong door; the replacement door coming with poor instructions; and Rey having to take apart the frame from the 40-year old, wooden storm door and plane it down to size to make the new door fit. He also made repairs to both sides of the main door, and then repainted it, both sides, so it looks nice as new. And he installed a new bathroom faucet on an old sink with some 'plumbing challenges'. Despite unforeseen problems and delays, he remained good natured, figured out how to deal with them, and got the job done. A very good job, overall, and at a fair price. I found Rey to be a more than capable handyman, as well as a nice, friendly guy. I will definitely use Rey again, and I highly recommend him.

Rey installed a new exterior door at our home. He is very professional and polite. Aside from some minor finishing details, we are pleased with the outcome. Rey even offered to haul away our old door free of charge. Most importantly, our cat approves of the job! I would use Rey's services again for future projects.

I had a shower that just would not stop leaking. Ray came right out explained each step he was doing also ran to home depot to get part so he could fix right away. Leak is fixed!! I've already scheduled him to paint a room for me at end of week.

Hiring Rey was the best decision I’ve made since moving to my new house. As someone who is mechanically challenged, I needed someone who was qualified, honest, and fair. I found all three of these qualities in Rey. He did a fantastic job with a drywall project in my garage. While there, I told him I was having a plumbing issue with my bath tub. A few days later he identified the problem and fixed it in a day. And get this, he didn’t rip me off! He is meticulous, devoted, and extraordinarily professional. I highly recommend Rey. He is awesome, and the world needs more people like him.
