Had two chimneys re-capped, repointed, damaged bricks replaced, and sealer applied to contain spalling of the 63 year old bricks. The crews were efficient, professional and worked hard over the two day job. Scaffolding set up with care minimized damage to established plantings. Crew cleaned up after day one, and again before leaving after the job was completed on day 2. I’m very impressed with their work.

Had Total Chimney come out to repoint my very tall chimney that was in poor shape. They also had to install a sleeve as the inside of my chimney had broke and crumbled. Your technician Josh was on time and he and his assistant took a very thorough look at the outside of the chimney to see if the winter further damaged it since his inspection in the fall. In addition, Josh checked the fireplace and then fully explained about price increases since our October estimate. We expect that the work to repair portions of the chimney will be done as efficiently as this visit.

mike came out to my new home, cleaned the chimney, dryer vent, added a chimney cap, and sealed the chimney from water that was getting in. a total pro, he showed me pictures of what was going on up there and explained in detail how to take care of our chimney and prevent drafts, which was so helpful as i am a first time home owner. thank you mike!

Wow, Mike and Mike were here to clean my chimney and they did a great job. I saw pictures of before and after and was advised on the best way to keep the chimney healthy…they even played with my dogs! I will use Total Chimney for all my chimney needs.

They are dependable, honest and friendly. My oil company, Hoffman Fuel, recommended them a few years ago as a chimney cleaning service. Every year when I schedule my furnace tuneup, they schedule Total Chimney to come out after that. I’m very satisfied with the work they do.

After a thorough clean of my chimney, I reviewed with the technician a thorough report on the overall status of my chimney and what items I needed to look at and fix before using it again. Total Chimney Care just completed a furnace and chimney cleaning. They were professional, clean and knowledgeable. I had an appt scheduled today. I was told our window would be from 12-4 p.m. but the inspector would call when he was on his way. Home inspection was done by 2 p.m. so we waited until 4 for the chimney inspector. Received a call at 4 that the inspector was still working on a job one hour away from our location. If inspector knew he could not make it, they should not have waited until 4 p.m. to inform us and an earlier courtesy call would have been a bit more professional. Canceled and won’t be rescheduling with this company

These guys answered an unorthodox call which I asked for chimney/flute repair quote on a house I didn’t own/have access to so I could get the asking price down. They were the only contractor willing to work with me and did so via my inspectors words, Google street view and some industry best-guesses of scope. This helped me save a few grand at closing. They got the job when I got the keys and they showed up on time, worked quickly around my movers, and the final bill was within a couple hundred of the quote. I recommend them and will call them whenever I need chimney work again.

I used this company to repoint the motar on my Chimney. Very honest and very responsible. The guys that came to house were awesome. Very personable and work orientated. They came over, banged it out no problems, were done in a few hours at most. What I do not like is I gave a credit card to pay. They write the numbers on a piece of paper to process later. I do not like that. I do not like my card number out there for the next guy to see. Email me a bill. I will pay it online like every other company does.

I just wanted to take the time to share, There tech Mike was at my house today and was awesome, a zero bs transaction, simple cleaning and I needed a remote damper/ rain cap, which he had- no return trip and done stat.

The technicians from Total Chimney Care were thorough, knowledgable, honest, and very helpful, which seems to be rare in this industry. We've had MANY companies call claiming to be our regular service provider, when they definitely weren't. And we've had other companies come in and insist we need all kinds of expensive services we didn't need. I've found it challenging to find a fireplace company I trust. Working with the technicians today was a completely different experience. They didn't try to oversell us. They cleaned the chimney and reassured us that everything was in good, working condition. And in fact, they slid the rain cap on the top of our chimney back into place without charging us. We knew it was leaking, so they easily could have charged $2k for a replacement, and we wouldn't have known the difference. But they didn't. We will definitely be working with Total Chimney Care in the future!

I used Total Chimney Care for a cleaning and diagnosis after just moving into my home. Not only were they friendly, professional, and knowledgeable - I was really impressed by the fact that, after a diagnostic check on the interior and exterior of the chimney, the technicians suggested future work that would be needed on the chimney and prioritized that work for me. They were honest about what needed to be done first, what was urgent, what could wait…I felt they were incredibly trustworthy and collaborative. I’ll definitely be using them annually, going forward.

My wife and I went to the showroom and were immediately met with a warm welcome. Steve met with us and answered our questions honestly and made us feel comfortable with our decision to go with a wood stove insert. We set an appointment for install and a few questions came up prior. Steve provided his cell number and was extremely responsive. On day of install his team showed up and were all respecting the current situation around COVID-19 and adhered to mask wearing. In addition all three gentlemen were pleasant and professional. Over all we had a great experience with Total Chimney and would recommend them.

Matt and Frank cleaned my hybrid fireplace insert today. In the 4-5 years I have had my stove. No one did such a thorough job. They took time to clean everything with years of creosote buildup being removed. Obviously the other businesses who said they cleaned my stove didn't!! I will never use any other company other than Total Chimney Care. They were spectacular!

I chose this company last fall to install a new stove and piping after I had to replace my roof due to a leak. After installation, the stove did not vent right and I was told it was due to using wet wood(which it was not) so after contacting the manufacturer directly, they stated the stacks weren’t high enough for ventilation, although this was resolved, not even a month into using it I was having water running down the stacks. Not even 8 months later after heavy rains I am still getting water running down the stove and it’s rusting. It looks absolutely horrible. I sent an email mid July and received no response so I called the office, they came out a week later, stated they can’t tell how water is getting in and applied more sealant to the storm collar, readdressing that they provided the roofing company “the boot” that was installed again to me and left. Then we had the hurricane and even more water got through. I sent an email stating the issue again along with leaving a voicemail and still have yet to receive a call back or a reply to the email.

It seems the company has great reviews but unfortunately my situation was never taken seriously and I am left having to find another company to fix this problem due to lack of response. My insurance rep advised getting another company to come out to assess the situation and they were able to identify the issue in less than 10 minutes simply by removing the collar they kept adding sealant to. I provided them with that information to see if they would attempt to rectify the situation but there still has been no response. I was also told that if this was a roofing issue or the leak was due to the flashing not being done properly I would have damage to my ceiling /attic as well and that is not the issue I am having, strictly water getting down the interior stack

TCC installed a three vent stainless cap and sealed the crown. They were quick, thorough and detail oriented. Answered all my questions patiently and cleaned up nicely after. Fully recommend them and will use them for future repairs (old house...).

We have used total chimney care on multiple occasions since we were introduced to the business. First for a couple routine cleanings, and once for a chimney rebuild from the roofline up. Less than a year after completing the rebuild, a large branch fell on our roof, knocking a corner of the freshly built chimney off. We called up Robert with total chimney care, and he came out to fix the damaged portion, and was very reasonable with the price considering the circumstances. Their knowledge of the code, as well as all of the products they use and service is above and beyond the competition. If you have any chimney work you need done, whether it be a routine cleaning after the burning season, or a complete rebuild before the new one, total chimney care is the way to go! Ask for Robert! You won’t be disappointed!

I used Total Chimney Care to have a fireplace chimney flue cleaned. They accommodated the date I wanted, were prompt, neat, and did a thorough job. While onsite they checked the oil boiler flue and I had them clean it for a nominal fee. Pricing was fair and the service good. I would certainly recommend them.

They made sure everything was taken care of. They even checked things I was not aware of as a home owner. Let’s just say they prevented a possible chimney fire. They explained everything to me and made sure I was aware of everything they where doing.

Fantastic experience! We needed a lot for our old broken down and dangerous chimney: a full rebuild of the chimney from the roof-line up, a liner for the furnace exhaust, and a liner for the fireplace. They did it all and did it to perfection. Steve, the owner, was always in touch to keep me in the loop. The absolute best around. I’ve been using these guys for years and they continue to prove they are the best in the business. I missed a year because of the tornado last May throwing me off. My chimney was a mess and they did a great job getting me back in action. Neat as a pin, no mess or smell ever from the cleaning. They never try and hard sell you anything you don’t need either. This is not a fly by night company. They have been around for a while and really do a great job at a very fair price.

I scheduled a cleaning 2 weeks in advance and was originally told someone would be by between 10am-2pm. No one showed when I called them they guaranteed me someone would be by 3pm. The owner spoke with me and made sure a technician came to my house. His team was very courteous. It took longer than I wish it did but the service was great.

It was a pleasure working with Total Chimney Care. What started off as a chimney repair turned into taking down the chimney below the roofline and lining with a stainless steel pipe. When Robert & Mike first came out to look at the job, they took the time to explain to me what was going on and answered all my questions. When they realized the original plan wasn't going to work and the needs of the job changed they honored their original quote and didn't try to play games. Each time I had to call the office Steve and Rose were great to work with and kept me in the loop on what was going on with my chimney. The day finally came to get it done and sure enough Robert and Mike were on time and worked professionally and cleaned up after themselves. I haven't had to call many contractors to do fixes around my house but this was a great experience and I hope they all go this well.

Steve & Robert at Total Chimney Care really understand customer service. Steve was able to get my Hampton HI300 wood insert replaced under warranty after 9 years of use. It developed a small crack. Robert removed the old stove Hampton wanted it back to be distroyed which made perfect sense to me. He then installed the new stove with tremendous detail. Ok so I know it is the start of the fall season but after this being the fourth year of calling Total Chimney Care in for our wood burning stove to be cleaned and first appointment was on Oct 4th and no show for a 8AM to 12 Noon appointment which I did not schedule for me to work and lost money for and a late call at 2PM that day that the person could not show up due to a job that took too long, I rescheduled for another appointment date which was Oct 12th after 2:30 PM and still no should until at 4:17PM.
What is going on after our fourth years of being a loyal customer Steve ?

OK so they did finally show up around 4:30 PM and the employee stated that he had auto issues such as tire issues which was why they did not show up on time for the appointment and they finally did the job. But they were so quick to leave that they left the gate open to our yard which I was glad a checked before I let my dog out which he could have been run over the very busy highway in front of our home.
I ask myself and others what is going on with the service after these 4 years of calling Total Chimney Care?
