We recently had extensive worked performed on our home, including two new porches, flooring, painting (internal and external), fixtures, etc. I cannot express enough how easy it was to work with Joe and his team. Joe is very communicative, and he and his team are reliable. If they say they are going to do something, they do it - on schedule, if not before! I am happy with the work quality and feel like we have a brand new house. I am not the easiest to please, and any questions or concerns I had were answered and handled. One thing we really liked is that we were able to share general idea of what we wanted done, and Joe came with suggestions to accomplish the goal. We are not experts by any means, and Joe helped “translate” what we wanted to actionable plans.

Joe and his guys have done a wonderful job on our house. They’ve painted the entire inside, rebuilt both the front and back porches, updated our bathroom, and more. Will use them for everything in the future. Great local company.

We had Joe come and help us fix and upgrade our bathrooms. They were able to repair the ceiling in one bathroom and updated the paint. In the other bathroom they fixed the tile flooring and installed shelves. They did a great job and we are so happy to have two fully functioning bathrooms again!! Thanks Joe and crew!

We called Joe at A Better Handyman LLC to see about changing the iron porch rails on the front of our home for some wooden rails. Matt, Rodney (and Joe) came bright and early this morning to do our project. After removing the rusting iron rails, Matt and Rodney proceeded with building the new rails. Not having any particular "design" in mind, we would peek at the progress along the way and were so pleased with how this job was turning out. When the job was completed, we were simply thrilled with the results. These guys did a superb job in making sure our new rails are not only strong and sturdy, but they had safety at the forefront as well, using beveled edges, sanding for smoothness and an additional metal hand rail attached as well. We thought the cost reasonable and seeing the end result, thought it money well spent! These guys are friendly, knowledgeable and leave your property just as clean after their work as when they first arrive. We highly recommend them and will be calling Joe soon for another project we'd like to see done. Thanks guys!

I woke up to have part of my roof, metal trim and soffit damaged in the night's rain/wind storm. The metal trim was still attached at one end and being blown by the wind, I was concerned it was going to tear off and possibly damage something else. So I needed to get this done quickly.
I called a highly rated roofing repair company, but they just managed large projects (like entire roofs)...however, they did recommend A Better Handyman, and said they did great work. It was nice to get a referral from a well respected company.
I called A Better Handyman, and they immediately asked for pictures, sent me a price estimate, and then sent someone out within hours to fix all the work. And it looks great. It was a relief to get this fixed before more rain or wind damage occurred
I moved out here a couple of years ago and have had a lot of work done remodeling my house. And frankly, I have really struggled to find reliable service folks that do good work, are timely and are reasonably priced. So I'm very happy I came across Better Handyman. And happy to hear they do indoor and outdoor work. I have a list of projects that I'll be bringing them back to help me with.

Very, very responsive and communicative. Fair prices too! I had gutters cleaned at two locations and during those cleanings, some minor roofing damages were noted. Joe/Shannon responded within minutes of my contact and literally, both jobs were completed within hours of my request. Great service!!!

Was referred to A Better Handyman via another roofing company and scheduled an inspection of my leaking roof for the next day, July 2, 2024. Was told I'd receive a text or call from a technician and that they would be over between 9 and 10. Never received a call or text and no technician ever showed up to estimate patching my leaky roof. Very bad business practice and won't be recommending them.

Where to start... call them on a wensday evening, talk to a lady about what we wanted done on our house. They stopped by Thursday and checked thing out. Thursday even was sent a quote via email. Replied that evening as well to what we wanted to start with first. They showed up Saturday morning 7am and proceeded to tear off the roof on our garage. They replaced rotten wood installed the shingles fast. Then they removed a bad attic fan and installed a new one as well. In the mists of replacing the roof the kids pool got popped. We call and left them a message letting them know what happened to the kids pool, and to let there workers know to please be careful. I believe Joe came over saw the pool and went and got a new one for the kids. Even after we told them we weren't worried about it. Thanks again to A BETTER HANDYMAN SERVICES, They went above and beyond our expectations. We definitely use them for more future work. Thanks again .

A better handyman did an amazing job, giving my house a facelift! Brick stained, siding painted, trim, and shutters look absolutely amazing! The crew was super friendly and accommodating! They even brought in a large package that I could not lift myself! Absolutely above and beyond!

This Journeys store is a pleasant place to shop! They are true to their one year return policy. I bought shoes there, and had no problem exchanging them 4 months later. Of course, with a receipt and never worn.

I was referred by another company for a roof repair from recent storms. I tried for several weeks to get them to come out and assess and repair. Any time I called the office (I called them four times over several weeks), it was one excuse or another...promises to get back to me. I have no indication that they ever even stopped by to assess. No contact. No estimate. They certainly never performed a repair. If they couldn't do it (it is a 3-story home), a courtesy phone call would have been appreciated. No follow through. So I am moving on to find another, more reliable company.

Called a better handyman to come repair some bubbling on a flat rubber roof I had done and they were able to come quickly and rather than repair they replaced, fixed, and cleaned it all up within two days. I called to have a small roof repair. Matt showed up at my house an hour later and said he could do the repair right then and there. Matt replaced a few shingles and unbent and caulked the affected fascia for a reasonable price. The work was done in less than an hour and everything was cleaned up. I also got Matt to look at a ceiling repair caused by the fascia letting storm water to damage it. He advised to wait until the next rain to see if it leaks. He took pictures and told me to call the office if no leaks to schedule the work. I appreciated Matt's advice and professionalism. He communicated well and I'm very pleased with his work and service. I'll definitely be using this A Better Handyman and Matt again. Thanks for a job well done!

I called to ask for a quote on a roof repair and they got someone out the next day to look at the repairs that were needed for a leak in my roof. I received a call to get the estimate for the repairs, and was able to get put on the schedule for the following day to get the repairs done. I received before and after pictures of the repairs. Very nice and professional people, great customer service.

Called Wednesday to have some work done. They made a Saturday appointment to come out. No problem. Never showed, never called. Contacted the receptionist. She said she'd try to find out what happened. Never heard from them again. Contacted her Tuesday to see what happened. Crickets! This can't be the first time they've done this. Makes me really wonder about their 5 star rating.

There is no job too small for this handy man! I called them because the company that built our home poorly installed vinyl siding and it recently fell off for no apparent reason. They came out the very next day and were able to fix it! I will never called another handyman! They were kind, courteous, and their front desk manager is phenomenal! We called A Better Handyman and they answered the phone! They were able to give me a general estimated on the phone. They scheduled us for the very next morning and Lee showed up. We had a punch list of items to repair throughout the house, from caulking to landscape lighting. Most impressively he was able to open a locked door that a locksmith was going to charge $400, plus the replacement lock for over 600 dollars. Lee was smart enough to take the door off hinges and unlock the door from inside thus saving me. (He does specialize in carpentry). He went through the other items quickly and with no problems. I saved their number in my phone I will definitely use this company again!

They were excellent! They told me they wouldn't be able to come until the next day. I told him we needed them urgently. I offered him twice more money than he was charging and he still honored the same price and came out and took care of the job.

Joe Sullivan and his assigned crew went above and beyond on addressing a wind damaged exterior flood light on the peak of my house. Joe and his front office staff were able to get me an estimate and appointment within minutes and said they would take care of the situation the same day. Dennis and Jimmy thoroughly executed the job timely and flawlessly in cold and windy conditions. I am beyond satisfied with this company and will be using them in the future for any additional repairs.

I was in urgent need of a handy man to repair moisture damage to our cabinet board underneath my sink. We had found the damage right as We were moving out and leaving the next day. It was 430pm and they were able to send Lee out to help us. Even late in the evening they were able to resolve the issue! They made sure that we were able to get the help we needed. I can not say enough about the amazing experience I had with A Better Handyman! I called and set up for them to simply come out and give me a quote on fixing a hole in my roof, and not only did they give me a quote, they informed me that they had an opening and could possibly get the work done the same day! A few hours after the initial phone call, I was informed the work would be able to be completed that same day as the quote, and not only did they show up in a timely fashion, they completed the work in a mere hour and half! My siding was in need of repair after a few super winds blew through. I was referred to them and they returned my call the same day. I was able to get an estimate by picture, which was awesome for me with the post-COVID climate. Joe was able to come out sooner than scheduled and it was a smaller job than expected. Siding all fixed and Joe was awesome enough to check my roof out for me as well. Great job!!

I was scheduled for a quote and then forgotten on x3 different occasions. Seems like there is some serious miscommunication between their office workers and contractors. Maybe their quality of work is good, that is if they ever got around to getting back in touch with the people asking for their business.

These guys are good and do excellent work. Not only that...they are honest...they cashed check and bank gave them 1000.00 too much...i never would have known if they were not honest...highly recommended

Was referred to them and I'm very disappointed. I spoke with Shannon who was very nice but that was the last time I heard from them. She had me send pictures of the problem and that she would have a gentleman look at it for either a quote or if they didn't want to drive up to NN, they would give me a referral to a different company. That was May 5th. No quote, no service appt, no referral. I made a follow up call the following week with no answer. Left a message and still nothing. For these reasons I would not recommend because they don't seem to care about customers.

I needed rotten wood repair at the front door entrance immediately. I called and spoke to a friendly representative and Joe (owner) set it up for one of his workers (Rodney) who not only
took care of the problem but worked overtime to get it done in one day! I am truly appreciated of their professionalism and service.

I live in Michigan and needed to locate repair services for my mom. I came across A Better Handyman LLC through google search. The team is amazing. They worked with me and my mom on her needs. Living far away, I feel peace locating a company we can call on for future needs.

Tried to use them, for a small pressure washing job while there was still some warmth in the air but after doing everything they asked me to do, sending them pics through e-mail and calling and speaking to the office manager over the phone a few times (I will not list her name here), they refused to even call me back to tell me yes or no. I would have certainly understood if they were too busy, I get it, and I know it was a small job, not a lot of money to be had, but it was good money for an easy job with a location that was "Right around the corner from their shop". I deserved, at the very least, a returned call.
I'm handicapped, I wanted/needed a handyman service. But they didn't deem my job worthy enough I guess.
I hate to sound bitter, but all they had to do was say "no thank you" and I would have thanked them for their time, graciously walked away and tried someone else, but instead they chose to just ghost me ... leave me hanging.

I needed 3 roof vent caps and some missing shingle sections replaced. Called A Better Handyman LLC in the morning and they had their worker MATT at my house in less than 2 hours. Matt was very professional, courteous, answered any questions I had, efficient, and appears to have done exceptional work on the repairs. I would definitely use ABH and MATT again.

I tried to use this business to fix a leak in my roof and multiple other projects around my home. I had mentioned I was going to use a home warranty, but maybe not if the price was in budget which it was.
They told me numerous times they’d get the estimate written up and emailed off to me but never did. I called often to get a follow up and was always met with an excuse as to why it wasn’t done. That or they just never called back.

It’s been over a month now, I’m assuming they don’t want my business.

Sent them pictures of some work I needed done. They emailed back and said they would have someone look at the pictures and give me a quote or make an appointment to come out and look. Arrured me they would get back to me that same day. The next day I emailed back asking for an update and they didn't reply. I guess they decided they didn't want to do tbe job or didn't have time so instead of letting me know that they just blew me off.
