I had a great experience with the team from WHI for re-insulating my attic. I had an attic full of probably five different varieties of insulation, including vermiculite. They walked me through the process of having the existing insulation fully removed (which was done by a separate company, but fully coordinated with WHI), and when that was done, WHI returned and performed a full air-sealing and cellulose insulation re-blow for my attic. Everyone I worked with at WHI was courteous and extremely helpful. I would highly recommend them.

DeAngelo and Mike from WHI did an awesome job air sealing our attic and installing insulation. It was a large job that took 5 days to complete. They were highly professional and detailed in their work and made sure to explain the work they perform. Highly recommend!

Wisconsin Home Improvement installed insulation in our attic at the end of 2021. At the end of 2024, I noticed that the sheet metal that WHI installed around our chimney, inside the attic, was installed in a way that I felt could have been done better. (The sheet metal keeps the insulation a set distance away from the chimney) I sent a picture to WHI and the owner (Steve) promptly called me back. Steve agreed that the craftsmanship could have been better, but explained that it would not cause any energy loss or other issues. Steve also offered to send out a crew to re-do the metal work to my satisfaction if I desired. I took Steve up on his offer because I prefer when things are done with craftsmanship. The crew he sent out was professional and kind. They took their time and did an amazing job. I asked for them to take pictures of their work to show me, and they happily did that. I am happy with the metal work and they also blew in some more insulation to level things out where they had worked. I was very impressed that after 3 years, Steve was very happy to send out a crew to bring things up to a level that satisfied me. Obviously, I am very happy with the way this was handled. Thank you!

Was very pleased with the whole procedure from the inspection quote and the work. Everyone from the office to the guys on the job where very friendly and knowledgeable. Was kept up to date with what was going on. the guys also made sure everything was back to normal at the end of the day. Seems to have made quite a difference in how often the furnace runs.

Excellent from the very start to the end. Always cleaned up and vacuumed, always on time and were flexible around our schedules. And the quote was very reasonable. They can always use me as a reference.

We recently purchased our house and we have been getting a lot of work done, out of all the different companies we have had to work with, Wisconsin Home Improvement has been the best. Peter was knowledgeable when doing the initial inspection. Our home inspector thought the water stains were from condensation buildup in the attic, but Paul determined it was likely leaks in the roof, and he was right. Lucy was easy to work with especially when I had to reschedule due to us confirming the roof was leaking. Al knows what he is doing on the removal, sealing and insulation of our attic. That is hard work, so I appreciated it. Attached is pictures of before removal, after removal and after reinsulating.

The team arrived promptly, laid down tarps the entire pathway to the attic access panel and cleaned up every day. Before the insulation was replaced, the temperature would drop one degree an hour from the day temp of 72 to the night temp of 68. Now it hasn't dropped below 71, even with temps in the 60's. So glad we had Wi Home Improvement team in to replace the insulation in our 35 year-old home.

I have contracted with Wisconsin Home Improvement twice over the past couple years, and feel they are a great company to work with. Lucy, Peter, Michael, Brandon... the list goes on and one... My most recent experience happened this week, when Michael and Brandon were at my house to do some work in my attic. They are great representatives for the company. True professionals who take pride in their work, cleaned up after they were done, and took the time to answer all of my questions. THANK YOU! I will use them again, if needed, and until then I will recommend their services to anyone.

We were very happy with WHI and the insulation work they did in our attic. The team spent several days removing all the old insulation, and cleaning the attic out before placing the new insulation. The team was respectful and kind, and cleaned up every day as they left. The office staff was also helpful and quickly responded to all our questions. Highly recommend WHI for your project!

This review is for Wisconsin Home Improvement/Hime Insulation. I’m not sure I’m on the right site. We are very pleased with the results of our project. It started a little rough. The first crew showed up and were quite negative. Telling me they could t do what I was telling them the owner said was to be done. The lead was a bit condescending and called the company owner. He ended up cutting a section out of my bedroom wall to do the job. It was quite the eye sore. He also came in with the attitude that he was not going to finish the project so a different crew would come the next day to finish. I was originally told I would need to be out of the house the first day from about 8:30am until 3:30pm. As it turned out it was 9:15am to 5:15pm. The next day the second crew came right in time. Extremely kind gentleman. They were done and gone in 40 minutes. Friday I got the 4th crew. They were basically the clean up crew. Installing a door on the gaping hole in my bedroom wall, etc. Again, very kind young men. I was told their work would be 8am to noon. They arrived at 8:30am and left at 3pm. Unfortunately my bedroom light/ceiling fan didn’t work after they were done. I called the office and Lucy set up yet another team to come out on Saturday. Marty and Mike came Saturday and they were amazing. Extremely kind and hard working. They fixed the work that wasn’t done to our satisfaction and fixed the light/ceiling fan fixture. Turned out the ceiling fan, which was here when we bought the house, wasn’t installed properly. Marty took it down vacuumed it all out and added caps and electrical tape to all of the wires. Mike fixed the trap door that was installed but didn’t stay closed. With the exception of the first team, each team cleaned up before they left, leaving no debris in our bedroom. The first night we weren’t even able to sleep in our bed!! (Pictures are what I came home to on day one) What started out as a job to be done in a day and a half became a 4 day ordeal, but Lucy made sure everything was completed to our satisfaction. I highly recommend this company to do your insulation work, but I suggest you request Marty and Mike as they were the icing on the cake for our satisfaction.

I had a great experience with WHI. They found a way to provide great and affordable insulation in my 1940s home. They were efficient and pleasant to work with. I definitely recommend!

The installers here were very professional, courteous and friendly. They went out of their way to ensure a positive experience during installation. Brandon and his co-worker were both exceptional.

We have a home built in the 1960's that had zero insulation in the walls. Received quotes from a few companies to do dense-pack blown cellulose and WHI had a great price. The crew had to remove vinyl siding to access the exterior walls and took great care not to damage anything. The work was done in about two days and the crew left the exterior clean and in great shape.
The difference inside our home was noticed very quickly, as temperatures dropped days after they finished. The boiler does not cycle as much and the home feels warmer and cozier all around. Looking forward to saving on our propane bill this winter and not having to run the AC as much next summer.
I would definitely hire WHI again if I had another insulation job to complete.

Full Marks for Zach at WHI, and essentially the entire staff of WHI. They are easy to work with, fair, courteous, and above board. Zach is one of the hardest workers I've ever seen at a job site. Had them spray foam my house. While the people were nice the work done was shotty. We have spent countless days having to trim the insulation protruding pass the studs to get drywall to lay flat. They are supposed to be coming back to finish up an aera that wasn't ready yet but forget it ill take the loss and higher a different company to finish the job.

Wanting to keep the original plaster walls on my 1923 home and needing to work within a set budget, I wasn't sure what my options were. Steve was knowledgeable and though with his inspection and gave me a couple options that worked within my budget.

The temperatures were typical for mid to late February when Mike came to insulate which gave me the opportunity to really feel the difference the work they did made over the course of the 2 days he was there. At the end of each day, other than the work that was in progress, it was like he wasn't even there.

As with everyone I worked with at WHI, Mike was prompt, courteous, kept me informed of the process, when they would be there, if there were any changes and were conscious of how what they were doing impacted my daily life.

I would recommend WHI to anyone looking to have insulation work done

We were extremely pleased with the services provided. The initial contacts with Peter focused on areas in the house where we have been losing heat for years and the potential benefits of adding insulation in the attic area. His analysis was interesting and extremely thorough. We very much appreciated his patience to be sure we understood the process and eventual estimate.
The staff members handling the scheduling were clear in their efforts to coordinate details.
Adrian was the lead member to complete all the work involved. We could not have been more impressed with his communication and work skills. He was always receptive to questions during the work days and made sure we were clear about each step of the process. Working in the attic required a good amount of materials and equipment to be carried into the house. This was done safely and with as minimal disruption as possible.
At this time we are happy to provide this positive review and would definitely recommend the staff and services provided by Wisconsin Home Improvement.

We had the insulation refreshed in our attic. Peter the estimator, came out and did a fantastic job of pointing out items needing attention. He video taped the job, so crew could follow. Crew did and excellent job. Outside noise we thought was a window problem, went away.

Wonderful experience with getting the quote scheduled but had some hiccups with communication on confirming the work to be done and when to expect the guys to come out and do the job. The owner apologized and made things right though. You are extremely lucky if you get Adrian on your insulation job!! He is so friendly and knowledgeable about the work. He helped put me at ease despite the communication hiccup with the office.

We worked with Steve at WHI to reinsulate our 1950s home. Steve collaborated with us to design a solution of spray foam for the roof deck and blown-in insulation for the attic.

Despite an increase in the volume of conditioned space to heat (that is, we brought unconditioned attic space into the building envelope), we have seen about a 15% year-over-year reduction in therms and now have no trouble regulating the temperature differential between our upstairs and downstairs.

The entire WHI crew that we worked with for our project was professional, and their collaboration with our roofer ensured a quite complex project was successfully completed as planned and without issue.

To be fair, I think the guys who came to do the work were very nice, prompt, and respectful of our home. What upsets me, is that when the work was quoted two things happened: 1. The man who came (who was also very nice) didn’t inspect the attic. 2. We knew we just wanted a vent insulated, but because the attic wasn’t inspected, we were shamed into a different repair altogether - which of course was unnecessary and didn’t happen once the guys got here - but completely misrepresented the value of work we were signing on for. I would’ve definitely hired a different company that doesn’t charge such an egregious trip charge.

Very good communication. I had them do blown insulation on the outside of the house. 2 gentleman came to the house on time and went right to work. Very clean and no mess when they left. Respective company to do business with. Thank You.

I scheduled a complimentary home audit, when the day came nobody showed up. I called them the next day, and they said they had technical difficulties with their computer system.

I scheduled another audit (3 weeks later because they are busy), and again, the auditor was a no-show.

I understand that there is only one person who does the free audit and that he is booked weeks out. It would've been nice to have gotten a phone call to tell me that he is not coming. I've had to rearrange two of my weekdays around now only to have nothing come of it.

Edit: Jodi reached out to me after I posted this review. She made our inconvenience less annoying by doing what she did, and I thank her for that. I'll schedule another appointment soon and see if we can change that new 4 star rating to a 5.

100% recommend this company. We have put extensive renovations into our home the past few years and have had dozens of contractors and workers in our house. These folks by FAR and away are the best choice we have ever made. Not only were they on time every day, they did an extraordinary and thorough job with insulating and rebuilding access in our complex attic and crawl spaces and cleaned up so well each of the four days they were here that it was as though nobody had been here at all. They were kind and respectful, and I could not have been more pleased with the job they did. I’m honestly pretty picky and a perfectionist.... Cannot say a single complaint. This company is the real deal.

I usually don’t write reviews but these are Hands down hard working people and GREAT customer service from the office all the way to the workers! It’s a very dirty work but they kept it as clean as possible and picked up anything left behind. If I had any question they kept it as honest and answered as best as possible, everything was explained as to why they were doing the work and how it would be done. They truly dedicate themselves to give their best service and keep it as professional as possible. You definitely won’t regret because I surely didn’t and will we happy to recommend to others!!! I had inadvertently rated this with only one star in my inept iPhone skills. This company is fantastic! From the time I first contacted them and spoke with Jody she was so personable and made me feel totally at ease in scheduling a no obligation energy audit when the auditor Peter came over, I was amazed at the thoroughness of the audit and no pressure. Peter is without a doubt very skilled in finding issues and their solutions for my chiily house! And he never insisted on speaking with the MAN of the house! Yes I am married but my husband works long hours and is it me who usually initiates and decides on these projects anyway. He never spoke condescendingly to me even though I didn’t know a thing about the “skeleton” of my house. Took his time to patiently explain everything to me till I understood and showed me photos of crawl spaces and the interior of walls so I could understand. The crew that came out to do the work were outstanding. Michael has been doing this work for eons and had a very detailed and complete report from Peter as to what I wanted done. They laid drop cloths from the entrance of my front door all the way through the work areas and put on shoe protectors! That was a first for me- I usually have to spend a day cleaning after contractors have been in my house. Michael even found a false ceiling hidden behind a bathroom wall - he was so excited- he genuinely enjoys his work! And his partner Igor is a work animal. He went up and down to the upstairs, to the attic, to the basement and out to the truck at least a hundred times tirelessly. They worked nonstop all day and left my house cleaner than I found it. I thought I was just going to get some do it yourself tips. Instead I had an entire crawl space insulated, they were able to get into some walls and insulate, weatherproofing and insulated the door in my closet leading to the crawl space, inserted tubes to vent this area to the main attic, and built a fantastic coffin covering for my attic entry totally insulated and tightly latches closed. Everything is air sealed now. Michael is a great craftsman. I am so very happy with the work that was done and feel lucky that I stumbled upon this company. Cindy Shiltz

Great experience from start to finish with WHI and the crew! The initial inspection w/Steve and the proposal with Patrick were both informative and helpful. We didn't feel pressured and learned alot through the process.
Mike and Igor were in our home 3 days, insulating our attic and basement, and they were prompt, professional, friendly and VERY TIDY! Would definitely recommend WHI!
