Prices are a little higher than the box stores, but well worth it for the selection of hardware they carry. Very large variety, friendly staff.

Kay in Gateway Kitchen and Bath helped us with the floor plan for our new kitchen. She met with us, and called several times to go over options. We are very pleased with how the whole process went; from design, ordering and delivery. Thank you Kay and the rest of the staff!

The staff has worked hard to make sure there customers are taken care of, this is a small town hardware store, there prices are going to be higher, they are not a large box store where they can buy supplies in large bulk and get a discount..
Look at this this way, to drive to menards is a 20 min drive ( give or take ) the gas to get there and not to mention there is never anyone around to help when you need it, and then there is the drive home, I do not feel it is worth it, if your only getting a few items..... they have overhead cost, this is a family owned business.... I keep my business local. Mike has always been awesome to me... along with the owners... they are all wonderful folks...

I had 1 key for my horse trailer that I was lucky enough to get at Wills rv. I wanted 2. No camping places had it. I brought the lock and one key to union grove hardware. It took at least an hour but he managed to duplicate by one key. That is true customer service. I bought somethings I didn't need or want just bc I wanted to spend more than 3 dollars for the 2 keys. I know where i'l be buying some Christmas gifts now. Thank you so much.

What you'd think it would be like for a small town. FRIENDLY, HELPFUL!! Not like some city service-WHERE THERE IS NONE!! I wish all my shopping experiences were this GREAT!

I went into the store for the first time today. It was awful, I never got a hello from the girl behind the registrar. Then they tried to charge me $32 for a $13 bag of grass seed. That is not so bad but the attitude with the girl from the registrar , in my opinion I suggest going someplace else they do not appreciate customers.

Always have the best service before and after the sale. The "tall man" is Cliff and I can't remember ever meeting someone that knows more about building and materials than him. He is a super busy guy. Running this place, stocking, ordering, and helping all he can. Some days are better than others but a very good dude. Their materials may be a bit more expensive than Menards but a special order only takes a few days compared to weeks and everything they sell is a much better than any box store. From doors to 2x4s.

The perfect place for Union Grove. Everyone is incredibly kind and definitely convenient. It's within walking distance, so I see no reason to ever go anywhere else for my quick "fix-em-up" projects.

Please remember this is the local hardware store. If you are not a "local" you may have a different experience. The tall man that other reviewers are clobbering is not so bad. Whenever I am looking for a hard to find bolt or some other hardware he does his best to help me. Also, whenever he walks down the isles he asks me if I need help. If you are in a hurry and don't have time for a 50 minute round trip to the big box stores give them a try, and don't be so damn critical....it's a hardware store. (I get no help at Menard's, the kids are too busy talking about what they did last night.)

It's a great store and has all the little pieces you need for a Saturday project. I avoid the elderly man that runs the place, he's pretty condescending.
