Words can't describe how happy we are that we found Winter Construction to rebuild our deck, replace a patio cover and so many other more or less unexpected things. First of all, Tom and Chessa understand the value of communication. From the first time we reached out to the last day, we always knew what the plan was. Along the way, Tom always asked our opinion / preference before making any decisions and we felt listened to and valued. Tom is incredibly patient and always took the time to explain anything we didn't understand. Next, the quality! Tom is truly a master craftsman with such an attention to detail. Everything looks amazing and even more importantly, we know that he didn't cut corners. We love the work Tom did and have received several compliments from neighbors already.

As we began our search for a contractor to remodel our main bath and hall bathroom we spoke with large companies (with equally large estimates), small companies, and one who didn’t bother to show up for our meeting. We are happy to say that we FINALLY found the best…Winter Construction. What began as two projects quickly became four; two bathrooms, a fireplace remodel, and a complete stair remodel. Tom is that good!
Upon first meeting Tom and Chessa we felt completely at ease with them, their ideas, and appreciated the fact that Tom would start our project and work it everyday from beginning to end. We always felt that Tom had everything under control and nothing was ever a problem.
We now have the bathrooms of our dreams, a fireplace that deserves to be the centerpiece of the room, and a staircase that has completely changed the feel of our house and we couldn’t be more pleased!
Tom and Chessa have been absolutely wonderful to work with. Since we are people who don’t really have an “eye” for design we certainly appreciated Chessa! Multiple times she helped us make decisions regarding finishing choices. We have marveled Tom’s finishing details and talent. Tom was patient explaining things that we needed to decide upon and would often give us multiple options for the best outcome. We are so pleased with all four projects, we have already told Tom and Chessa that we will be talking with them in a couple years to discuss our kitchen! You can’t go wrong choosing Winter Construction for any remodeling needs! We HIGHLY recommend Winter Construction!

We hired the Winters for a bathroom remodel. We are very pleased overall.
When we had the Winters out for an estimate, we scheduled for a Saturday, 3 weeks ahead of time. Based on experiences with other contractors, with that much time having passed, I felt the chance was high they'd have forgotten or be late. No! They were right on time, even at our hard to find rural property. So that was my first good impression.
The estimate was good so we scheduled. The date for the work was quite a few months out, but the Winters were great about setting expectations. They didn't try to sugar coat that it might be sooner. They were realistic, and they were pretty spot on as far as when they were actually able to start the work.
Tom did the work. You can tell he takes pride in his work, as if it is his own house. I was impressed that he used some of the shipping boxes to kind of "model" where the tub and vanity would be to get a good feel of how things would fit together.
Unlike with contractors we've used before, I felt like we were "taken care of." Tom handled things that came up. When I expressed concerns, Tom said "It's going to be great!"...and it was, and always communicated well. There was an issue with the sink plumbing that we ordered, and Tom took the initiative to contact the manufacturer and get a replacement part.
This was also during the start of the COVID19 time, and Tom diligently wore a mask while he was here.
I would hire the Winters again in a heartbeat.

The average roof replacement cost for a residential home typically ranges from $7,000 to $15,000, depending on factors such as roof size, chosen materials, roof pitch, and labor rates in your area. Premium materials or complex designs may increase the price.
The cost to replace the roof of a commercial building typically ranges from $5 to $12 per square foot, depending on several factors such as roof size, material, labor rates, building type, and local code requirements.
Several factors influence roof repair cost, including the extent of the damage, roof accessibility, material type, labor costs, and whether it’s a general repair or an emergency fix. Minor repairs can start around $150–$400, while major repairs may exceed $1,500.
Roof leak repair cost generally ranges from $300 to $800, depending on the size and location of the leak, the materials required, and labor intensity. Complex leaks involving structural repairs or interior damage will cost more.
Flat roof repair cost for commercial properties usually ranges from $500 to $3,000, depending on the roofing material (TPO, EPDM, PVC), the extent of the damage, and roof accessibility.
Mobile home roof replacement cost typically ranges from $3,000 to $8,000, making it generally more affordable than traditional home roof replacements, due to smaller size and simpler structure.
It's not necessary to stay home during roof replacement. Roofing work is noisy and can cause vibrations inside the house, which might be uncomfortable. Most homeowners choose to leave during major parts of the project, but our team ensures safety and keeps you updated, whether you're home or not.
The timeline for a roof replacement typically ranges from one to three days, depending on the size and complexity of the roof, weather conditions, and material type. Larger or more intricate roofs may take a bit longer, but we always aim for efficient, timely completion.
To hire a roofing contractor, start by researching local companies with good reviews and proper licensing. Request quotes from multiple contractors, verify their insurance and certifications, and ask for references. Always ensure you get a written contract that outlines the scope of work, timeline, and payment terms.
Check if a roofing company is legit by verifying their business license, insurance, and local certifications. Look for memberships in professional associations, read customer reviews, and ask for recent project references. A legitimate company will be transparent and provide all documentation upon request.
When choosing a roofing company, consider their experience, customer reviews, warranty offerings, and quality of materials. Make sure they provide clear communication, detailed estimates, and a solid portfolio of completed projects. Local expertise is also a major advantage for understanding regional roofing needs.
Warning signs that your roofing contractor might be ripping you off include vague contracts, pressure to pay large upfront deposits, lack of proper documentation, and unexplained price increases. Always ask for itemized estimates and written guarantees, and avoid contractors who avoid answering your questions directly.
