I called WMR to find out if my roof needed to be replaced. I hadn't noticed any signs of damage, but the roof is old and my house is right in the path of the Hellgate winds, so I expected the worst. WMR sent Shaun out to take a look. He easily could have taken advantage of me because my house is three stories high and sandwiched between tall buildings, making impossible for me to even see most of the roof, and I probably wouldn't know what to look for anyway. Happily, though, Shaun said my roof is in pretty good shape and he didn't charge me for his inspection. When I asked how fire-resistant the roof is, he gave me the address of a lab where I could get a sample shingle tested, but before I got around to it Shaun did it himself for no extra charge. I got good news there too, so thanks to Shaun I feel a lot more secure going into fire season.

My roof is 16 years old and I noticed a lot of granules in my gutters during a recent cleaning so I decided to call Western Montana Roofing for an inspection. I received a quick return call and scheduled for Sean to come out the next day.
Upon meeting Sean I found him to be calm and friendly. He walked around the outside of my house with me and patiently answered all of my questions. He then went onto the roof to do a closer inspection and take photographs.
When he returned to the ground I was pleasantly surprised to find out that he wasn’t recommending a new roof quite yet. He asked me to call back next year and he would compare the photos he took after another year of wear. He advised me the southern exposure probably had two years or so left so I should start budgeting for a new roof with that in mind.
I cannot express how impressed I was with his honest candor. This is the first contractor I have encountered in 35 years of home ownership that didn’t try to sell me their service and immediately schedule the job.
Western Montana Roofing definitely has a better vibe than roofers I’ve spoken to in the past. I will be giving them my business when the time comes for a new roof.

Fantastic! Asked Walker to take a look at my roof, after watching him and his colleagues do a great job on my neighbor's. He noticed a major issue (loose ridge cap, probably from the big wind storm last summer, that I couldn't see from the ground) and repaired it for what I know was way, way below the market rate. I subsequently realized that leaves, dirt, and some water had been coming into my attic through the exposed ridgeline; no real damage, but it would have been bad if Walker hadn't caught the issue in time. I'm very grateful and will certainly be calling Western Montana Roofing if/when I have any issues in the future. I'd highly recommend.

Talk about a great local company! We had just bought our new house and needed the roof replaced. I was very Happy with the reroofing job done by Western Montana Roofing. They started the job around 8 am on Wednesday and had the whole house and attached 3 car garage completed the next day by 4 pm. A through cleanup was done at the end of each day and they returned another time to recheck. I did find a couple of nails and small scraps of tarpaper in the back yard that had fallen into some deep snow. That was the only place that I found anything that was missed.

Very happy with our roofs. Zach and his team are efficient, easy to communicate with and took great care to clean up nails and other debris.

I could not speak more highly of Western Montana Roofing. They were incredibly efficient from initial contact through the quoting process, performing the work, and final inspection. I was taking bids on a new roof for my house and shop. My wife handed me a news paper insert for Western Montana Roofing. In short. I called them for a quote. Chad came right over to see the job. Western Montana Roofing are phenomenal! They completed our house and garage roofs within 2 days, did a beautiful job, and left the property cleaner than they found it. The work was also very reasonably priced. I highly recommend them!

I would give Western Montana Roofing 10 stars if I could! We got several bids to install a new metal roof on our house. Zack showed up the same day we called to ask for an estimate, physically inspected the roof and checked the trusses and soffits, put everything back and cleaned up after himself. Some of the other roofing companies never even showed, and one submitted a bid $10,000 more than Zack’s without ever having seen or inspected the roof physically.

Zack was extremely accommodating about revising our bid when we wanted to switch to a higher gauge metal and add gutters. He was clear about anticipating problems that might occur once they opened the roof up and what the potential expenses might run us. He promised to fit us in within 2 months but actually started and finished the job within 1 month from when he gave us the bid. His crew were amazing and were extremely detail oriented, and their clean up was so thorough you never would have known they had been there. Throughout the process Zack kept in communication with us, letting us know when they would show up. As previously mentioned, when they opened up the roof, they found that most of the underlying panels were compromised and not in great shape. The estimate called for half of the panels to be replaced. Zack immediately called us to notify us of the situation and offered us several options. We chose to replace all of the panels and Zack went out of his way to give us a price break.

Throughout the bidding and construction process we were in constant contact with one of our sons who is an engineer and builder. He confirmed everything Zack said to us, ( he inspected the roof in April when he did some work on the house). We also sent pictures to him as the roof progressed and he was impressed by the quality of workmanship and the materials Zack was using.

Long story short, you definitely should hire Western Montana Roofing if you need work done on your roof. Especially, if you are considering a metal roof. Zack is an excellent communicator, straightforward and extremely easy to deal with. He does excellent work without trying to gouge you. Our experience with Western Montana Roofing and Zack has been extremely positive and we highly recommend them!!

We just got done having our Roof and Patio Roof done with Zach and his Crew. They were great to work with during the whole process. We had some delays from materials being damaged on arrival and the really big storm that rolled threw Missoula this summer but through it all Zach was great to work with.

These guys are a God-send! Missoula recently went through a wind-storm, resulting in downed trees, powerlines and roofs. Our roof was down to bare plywood and another rain storm was coming in. Although we filed a claim with our insurance company and secured a contract with different roofer prior to meeting Zach and Western Montana Roofing, they voluntarily offered their services, (free of charge). Everyone in Missoula has come together and helped one another. Zach and Western Montana Roofing have shown heart and concern for us. I highly recommend them to anyone in need of roofing concerns. I had signed a contract on March 11,2024. Was called on May 19th to see if they could come early and start my roof. Couldn't cause I had other home repairs going on. Zach said OK I'll keep you on for June 10th. I called on June 6th to see if this was still on for June 10th. That's when I found out that Zach forgot about my contract and it won't be happening cause they were busy. Told me to send him some other dates. That's when the no contact started. No answer on texts or phone calls. Nice. So now we are just gonna ignore me and I'll just go away. I've seen the words professional and integrity. I think not unprofessional, incompetent, and no integrity! But I'm not surprised since this is the 4th so called business that has done the same thing. That's OK karma is a coming and I hope it hits hard. Just because the work might be 5 star the owners word is a total zero!!!!!!

Western Montana Roofing is an exceptional roofing company. In the spring of 23 I received multiple bids on my roof replacement. There bid was anywhere from 5k to 15k dollars less than the others. My roof was over 20 years old. There were multiple issues that came up, including replacing most of the sheeting. They took it all in stride and handled very efficiently. They were very professional and kept an incredibly clean work site. The crew members were very pleasant to work with and answered questions readily. They used the highest quality products. I could not be happier with the workmanship finished job.
