Our home underwent a significant repair and update under George’s tutelage.

A slow, silent leak from our dishwasher combined with contiguous, solid oak wood flooring throughout the house, and custom kitchen cabinetry meant this was not going to be a quick and easy fix. It also meant we needed to hire a contractor familiar with the insurance claim process, because we certainly weren’t.

I found George through an online search and if you’re reading this review, you already know his reviews are plentiful, and pretty amazing. I called and reached him right away. Immediately he struck me as very friendly and knowledgeable, and offered helpful advice without even yet being hired.

Overall, our project took close to a year, claim to finish, and included about 5 months where we lived in a rental. It also grew from a water loss repair to include a complete remodel of 2 bathrooms, and custom storage in 2 bedrooms.

First, when it comes to insurance claims, George knows his stuff. He ensured we were made completely whole and our insurance company didn’t cut corners.

What I really found invaluable was how responsive George was. Look, a project like ours, with so many moving parts and personalities, there’s gonna be hiccups. Any and every time we needed George, he responded right away ready to listen and/or problem-solve.

And finally, I am so happy with the work completed on our home. George offered great ideas, but what I found really meaningful was that he listened to our weird, crazy ideas and did what it took to get us what we wanted. He really got to know us, understand and implement what we were going for.

The crews he had working on our home were also attentive, skillful, considerate and professional. If your project requires Sergio, Jesus, Julio, Sam, Juan, Sixto, Christian, Andres… I can assure you, you’ll be in good hands.

We purchased our first TX home late last year and immediately began our search for a general contractor. We made several calls but George from WCG was the first to give me a call back, and the rest is history! I was so happy early on with his demeanor, professionalism, and his availability (he's also super text-msg literate, which was really important for me as someone who sits in meetings all day).

More than the actual quality of the work (which of course was phenomenal, and the other reviews can attest to), I most enjoyed the collaborative spirit we shared throughout the home reno journey. He is always happy to offer suggestions and tips, but is just as eager to honor your own preferences and requests.

As for the actual work, we employed WCG to essentially tackle a full reno of our 3,700 sq ft home: new flooring/carpets, complete bathroom makeovers (+ adding a new office bathroom), relocating laundry/dryer to 2nd floor, drywall repair, complete kitchen redesign, and more. In short, with the exception of tearing down the drywall, George and his crew replaced/repaired everything else. Even a month or so after the completion of our renovation, George still calls/texts to check in to see if we need anything.

I'll let the pictures speak for themselves but my wife and I enjoyed working with George so much that we entrusted my mother-in-law's reno needs to his services as well. Thanks George!

I called the team after a large piece of my fire wall fell from the roof in my attic through my kitchen ceiling due to builders not installing them up to code. They came out to evaluate the situation the same day as it was a safety issue. While they were not able to fix it immediately they squeezed me in that same week. The team fixed the broken part of the firewall & secured the rest of the firewall & installed extra plywood on the rafters to ease my mind. The team did a phenomenal job fixing the hole in my ceiling, it looks as though there never was a hole. I am beyond impressed! They repainted the ceiling & did a better job than the painters that painted originally. The owner is kind & has done an exceptional job of hiring/recruiting talented professionals onto his team. West Construction blew me away with how professional and communicative they were. WOW!

George and team from the start were wonderful to work with. They knew how to work in a professional manner within the confines of HOAs and Insurance companies and made me feel so thankful that they took on my restoration project.

The team at West were always sharing photos of the work being done, communicating with me in a clear and concise manner (and they are bilingual which is a huge plus in the industry), and always made me feel safe that my home (and the project!) would be done and done right.

They are also experts in the field, and gave white-glove service wherever possible. Their attention to detail and knowledge of the project and how to best fix my condo (after a flood) was top notch.

They are just lovely, ethical people who do great work. 5 stars for sure.

Pros:
- Professional team. Clean and respectful.
- Very knowledgable and always have a can-do attitude.
- Quality work. We are very happy with the results!
- Moving team was amazing!
- Great communication from George. He’s always available by text or phone.
- We reached back out to him for the items we saw were overlooked/missed and he was very fast at responding and ensuring his team gets on it ASAP.

Cons:
- Timeline between GC and Sub-contractor (-0.5 star). Absolutely understand this is the case with many contractors. However, believe this was more of a communication issue between sub and GC. We ended up moving back in per the last extension but then we lived/slept with the toxic paint smell and all the furniture pushed towards the middle of the room. Highly recommend discussing realistic timelines or just adding in the extra buffer yourself.
- Project management was lacking (-0.5 star). Recommend hiring someone to manage if you’re busy and if George is out or limited with his mobility.
- Project management was not very well managed due to George being limited from an injury (absolutely understandable, but he does not have a back-up). He had to rely on reviewing the progress remotely through pictures from his team. Little items were overlooked or missed. If George was at his 100% we feel like everything would’ve been perfect. He mentioned when he was able to come by that if he was able to be on-site more, the little things would’ve been caught before we saw them.
- We had some issues with inventory for what we needed to provide to George (tiles, hardware, etc) but again George also mentioned he usually does the inventory.

Overall, we enjoyed working with George and his team. We would love to work with this team again and recommend them. Thank you, George!

West Construction renovated my kitchen after water damage and I could not possibly be more pleased! The work is just awesome! George and all the guys took such great care to give me a beautiful kitchen just like I wanted, but even better! They did little things I would have never thought of that made it that much more special. We a a flood and received a list of recommendations for contractors. We immediately connected with George and hired West Construction. I cannot say enough good things about our experience. They were always on time, vey trustworthy (we gave them a key), and extremely detail oriented. The crew he employs clearly has been with him for many years (not day laborers). They finished very close to estimated timeline, any delays were out of their control…I really wanted to remodel Primary bath but husband said no. So we had them clean grout and reseal. I couldn’t be happier with the results! (last picture) This is my first ever Google review, that is how impressed I am with George and West Construction.

George and his company saved our marriage! My husband and I got engaged December of 2020. We were happy, blissful, and unaware. Then snowmageddon happened February 2021. Our 1984 home had significant water damage and we were in over our heads. This is where George and West Construction Group came into the picture. George took on our project like we were family. He was there for us in a point of our lives that was meant to be joyous and stress free. The whole renovation process took close to 7 months- that timeframe included our wedding and 3 different short term rental moves. With all the chaos, George was our go to man. He dealt with the insurance company, gave us a wealth of knowledge, and was even our therapist at times! Without a doubt, do yourself a favor and use this company. They aren’t the cheapest around, but you get what you pay for. George is reliable, professional, and worth every penny!

After being a victim of the winter storm in 2021, I called so many contractors and the ones that would answer the phone were at full capacity. The same happened when I called West Construction, but this time George asked me to tell him a little bit about our story. We had been building a new home and were just about to put our current home on the market a week after the winter storm. We were up against the clock due to the current market situation and we were worried the builder could drop us if we didn’t get our house sold in time. This gave us about 1 month to complete mitigation, repair all the damages, and clean up to go to market. After explaining our aggressive timeline George was very honest; he didn’t make any promises but he wanted to help and agreed to take us on even though he was at capacity. Through the process he checked in on us regularly and his team got the job done! If there was something he couldn’t get to he would tell us so that we had time to outsource that particular trade, ie.. paint. We appreciate him doing this because it allowed us to stay on time and move into our new house. The work was done well and potential buyers recognized that. The house sold day 1 of open house. Highly recommend, George knows what he is doing and certainly knows how to multitask!

When our property was hail damaged, West Construction Group was great to work with. John Maddry with WCG came out to the house to personally review the damage with the insurance company agent. He then worked closely with our insurance adjuster ensuring that all damage was accounted for and covered. Windows, roof, gutter, and fence damage were all reviewed meticulously. When the insurance estimate came in, John reviewed each line item with us to ensure accuracy. The work was efficient and professional for each phase of repair – roof, windows, gutters, and fence. John personally ensured that all materials used had our approval and were appropriate for the repair. Great experience and great results. Superb company.

West Construction group was recommended to us by the plumber that fixed our burst pipe in February. We are first time home owners and had no idea how all this works. Let me tell start by saying George (the owner) took the time up front, before we were even a customer, to explain the entire process and answer every little question I had. I'm the kind of person that asks a ton of questions. That alone spoke volumes to me about how he runs his company as a GC. Considering almost everyone in Texas needed home repairs at the time, George was kind and very responsive. He got us on the mitigation and pack out schedule quickly even though we clearly weren't the biggest money making job at the time. He personally came by with a mitigation company to point out potential damage areas and explain how the mitigation would occur. He had a flooring company send someone to our house three times while we were being super picky about picking new floors so that we could review samples. I mean every little detail, George was there for us and completely reachable. He even threw in painting a few extra things to match the rest of the walls getting repainted and tiled a small bathroom instead of replacing the laminate inside. He didn't have to go the extra mile for little things we wanted but he always did! The new floors, baseboards, and paint throughout our entire downstairs is quality work and really updated our house. For us, going through these big unexpected fixes on the house and moving out with a toddler were major changes for our family. But George was an absolute joy to work with and have on our side. I would absolutely recommend West Construction to anyone and will easily call George for any repairs needed in the future.

After interviewing 10 contractors West was clearly superior. They demonstrated the knowledge, experience and "can do" attitude that we all need and want in a contractor. Throughout planning they listened. Throughout the execution of the work they were thorough and diligent. I cannot recommend them more highly.

Had a bathroom remodel due to a water leak. My insurance company recommended them. They did an awesome job. Professional, on time and the work was great. Highly recommend them for any type of work.

My husband and I have been in our home almost 9 years now and one thing we've always wanted to do is repurpose the large room at the front of our house that serves as a formal dining/living room (ie the room no one uses). We've kinda thrown ideas around in the past but never came up with any real solution. Then quarantine hits, we're both working from home and in the house constantly, and we come up with the idea to enclose part of the room, make it our new office, and repurpose our existing office into a space for our Peloton, workout equipment, etc. Great! Now to find someone to do the work...

I went online searching for a reputable, trustworthy construction company and West Construction repeatedly came up with high praises, so I gave them a call. George contacted me back within an hour or two of my inquiry and it was GO TIME from there. He came over to give me an estimate within a few days. I told him what my vision was and he gave me a general idea of what to expect during the construction process (dust... so much dust...) and answered the many questions and concerns I had initially and throughout the process with the patience of a saint. I got so excited about our impending remodel that I also had him give me a quote to redo the tired backsplash in our kitchen and give the cabinets a fresh coat of paint, and he was more than happy to do so.

The attached pictures are the result of our endeavor. I am THRILLED with the results. The team at West Construction are seriously a group dedicated to their respective crafts. Jasen, who framed out my office, did an awesome job and I could really get a feel for what the final product would look like when he was done (that day was so exciting!). Alberto, George's painter, is AMAZING; my cabinets look brand new (like they were just installed and not 10+ years old), and you'd never know we had new walls put up - the texture looks identical to what was already there and the transition from old walls to new is seamless.

George's tile guy (I forget his name, sorry!) also did an excellent job on my backsplash and, despite black grout being messy as heck and the bane of the installer's existence (so I've heard), did not leave a SPECK for me to have to clean up. I was also super impressed with the electrician who came out to run power/outlets in the office, as well as put up ceiling fans and lights. He gave us suggestions that we hadn't even thought of (hey, how about a light switch and bright LED canned lights so you can see down the new hallway - duh!).

All these professionals came together to create such a beautiful end product, and I couldn't be more pleased. Hats off to George and the crew at West Construction!!

I first met George Alexander / West Construction Group when my parents had storm damage several years back and had their roof replaced. George stepped in for another team member to meet with the insurance appraiser to review the appraisal and supplemental. My parents were very pleased not only with the roof and patio cover that was done (the attention & detail) but the genuine personal interest that George showed in them.

Several weeks ago I found myself in need of roof help after the multiple tornado storm that hit the Dallas area. I knew who to call. When I called George for help he dispatched a crew almost immediately to come over from a job they were finishing to make emergency patch repairs while I waited for a response from the insurance company. And waited on the appraiser. And waited and waited on the appraisal. I finally got the Insurance appraiser to talk w/George. Then things happened quickly.

George was as quick and as prompt as the insurance appraiser was slow. George slotted me in the first available cancellation/opening!

I first found out about George due to his military background and my son serves in the military. I always want to help out someone who has served. I did my homework and contacted his references. I was interested in having all the popcorn ceilings removed in my home and a master bath remodel. I interviewed several companies. They were always trying to oversell. George never tried to oversell his services. He warned me about the mess the ceilings would make and worked with me on all my ever changing decisions regarding the bathroom. One job lead to another and we were extremely happy from the ceilings, to the bathroom remodel, to crown molding and painting! George is a friend to our family now! But where he really excelled was replacing our roof! He handled all of the contacts with the insurance company and made sure each part of the claim was cared for and worked endlessly on each part of the repair, seeing that is was done correctly! I'm somewhat of a tough cookie to please and George made sure it was all done to my liking. I would highly recommend him.

The project manager John Maddry was very professional and friendly at the same time, and guided me through the process, at every step. He made sure to be present during inspection and helped the insurance adjuster a lot to come up with a good estimation in the end. Also he was open with the suggestions on how & why they plan to do any change from current to future state. For the roof replacement work the crew handled the job pretty professionally, and were quite efficient. Even though we hit few hiccups in between, but John made sure to follow up with concerned persons and get the job done. When the project got over, John came over afterwards & personally checked for leftover nails and trash too, which was nice of him. The new roof looks great with the upgraded shingles and the finish.

I highly recommend! They have done several paint jobs for me at my home, including a recent job painting my master bathroom. It looks amazing! The quality of the work is excellent! I've also had them replace my roof (twice...hail storm destroyed the previous roof only 4 months after it was replaced) & they did an awesome job both times. They cleaned up & even checked for roofing nails around my yard before they left so no one in my family, including my dog, wouldn't find one with our feet. WCG just finished repairing our roof, fence, gutters, etc due to a recent hailstorm. Tim was personable, informative and thorough and made sure his team did fine work. We were hit by a severe thunderstorm this year. Many roof companies came to our neighborhood trying to sell their service, but John with WCG is the only one who actually came up to the roof and did some temporary fix for us for free even though we haven’t made any commitment. After quoting several companies we decided to give the job to WCG because their price is very competitive. John managed the entire project. It turns out to be a great decision. I’d like to share my candid opinion on roofing experience with West Construction Group who did my roof a few weeks ago and finished with complete satisfactions. The project came with replacements of shingles roof (over 72 squares), metal roof, gutter, fence & patio stains, screens, etc. I am a very detail-driven person and check every possible little thing. Throughout the process WCG not only showed great professionalism, courtesy, patience, and care, but also delivered beyond expectations. George who oversaw the project listened, examined, prepared, planned and delivered. The level of details George paid attention to, the efforts he put into to address my questions or concerns, the quality work that he managed to deliver from multiple crew, are unparalleled and made me the VIP of the house. George carries a good heart and he couldn’t care less of what I care about my house. And I just couldn’t expect more. I really hope whoever is reading this would give George a try on your roofing project as he deserves it – he is the roofing guru and he treats you as a family.

West Construction Group was referred to me by a co-worker when I needed to have my roof replaced. George Alexander handled my job personally from inspection to completion. George is very knowledgeable when dealing with the insurance company and was able to get damages covered through supplemental claims that were not covered in the initial claim or inspection. West came in and got the job done on time and they did a quality job. They used top quality materials and didn't charge me for upgraded shingles and synthetic underlayment both of which were not on my house before they replaced the roof. They also installed water and ice barrier where it was needed. This was also not present before the roof replacement. I got West to give me a quote on painting my house which was badly needed. They were able to get the paint job done before the roof replacement. The painters took one day to prep the house and returned the next day to paint. West installed gutters around my entire house. This was an upgrade to the builder's gutters placed only above the front and back door. The new gutters look amazing and stopped erosion around the entire house which was a problem in several areas. The crew cleaned up after the job was completed and I never found any nails or construction materials left behind. The architectural shingles and the ridge vents West installed really make my house stand out from other houses in the neighborhood. George made the entire process from beginning to end painless. He was always available to talk when I called and never acted as if I was bugging him or asking too many questions. I recommend West Construction Group to anyone that wants a construction contractor that does quality work. Many neighbors complimented me on the house and one neighbor I didn't know rang my doorbell to ask who replaced my roof. West replaced that neighbor's roof as well. I referred West Construction to a co-worker who also used West Construction to replace their roof. One Summer Saturday morning I walked into my living room to find my floor covered in water. A supply line to the kitchen sink had burst overnight and leaked all over. George Alexander was the first person I called after I called the insurance company. West came in and replaced my floor, baseboards, kitchen cabinets, counter tops, back splash and painted the interior. They did everything on the interior of my house with the same quality and craftmanship they performed when replacing my roof. West Construction treated me like a family member throughout both jobs. I will always use West Construction Group and wouldn't consider anyone else.

It was such a pleasure working with this company, John has been so helpful from the beginning. My roof has several hail damages which my first insurance company adjuster hid from me. John checked my roof and helped me take pictures of the damage and resubmit claims, finally my insurance approved to replace the whole roof. He knows what his doing and how to deal with the insurance company, and fight for you each and every step. The working crew came and were very professional and efficient, it took a little bit over a day to finish. Now my roof looks beautiful!!! I recently used West Construction after a major hail storm. Jasen was my contractor and handled my insurance claim for me, as well as scheduling all the repairs through completion. Jasen made the process very painless and smooth. The work was completed in a timely manner and completed to my satisfaction. Jasen followed up after every crew finished to be certain I was happy with the quality of the work. The roofers did a great job cleaning up my yard and pool area when they were done. Jasen even helped me with a little side project not involving my insurance claim on his own time. I would definitely recommend West Construction and will use them in the future.

The big windstorm that came through at the end of May knocked most of our large Oak tree down, and unfortunately it fell on our garage. Thankfully no person or pets were injured but it did extensive damage to our home. We soon realized that just finding someone to remove the tree from our roof and cut down the rest of the tree at a reasonable price wasn’t going to be easy. Other nearby homes in our neighborhood had also been damaged and many trees and fences were down.

We had used West Construction Group previously and were pleased with their work, so I contacted Jasen. He came over right away, inspected the damage, and showed me that it was in fact worse than I had suspected. In addition to holes in the garage roof, there were broken and cracked rafters – some of which would be hidden until the shingles and roof decking could be removed and repairs started. The garage door, gutters, and fence had extensive damage. Also, there was water damage to the ceiling of the garage and the adjoining room inside our house. No doubt about needing to file an insurance claim.

We told Jasen we wanted West Construction to help us file the claim and then do the work for us. I am happy to report that turned out to be a very good decision.

The first thing Jasen did was to arrange the tree cutting, making sure the workers were aware of our damaged roof and careful not to injure themselves while also minimizing further damage to the roof. Next up was successfully working with our insurance company to ensure they would cover the claim. From that point Jasen helped us make decisions on roof materials, gutters, paint, garage door and opener, gate replacement and fence repair. He and the West Construction team made sure all the work was done on time and to our satisfaction. The roof and garage door repair looks great and has been admired by our neighbors. Wonderful to have things back to normal at our house.

Driving down my alley, I stop & stare at my roof because it looks that Awesome & sticks out from others. This company uses the best materials, & I love the alligator back on my roof. Looks very sharp!!! (I picked the charcoal color). Owner will also explain to you, the pros of picking a darker shingle. They did a lot of work, inside & outside of my house. Everything looks “great”!!! And all the workers are “super nice” & very professional, and do a wonderful job. They all work their tails off until the jobs are finished. And they do a gr8 job of cleaning everything up when jobs are completed. You'd never know they were there, because they clean up so well. George and his team were excellent. Lots of roofers wanted to replace my hail damaged roof but George cared about my entire property. George is very knowledgeable about insurance and was able to identify all the hail damage to my property and ensure the best claim settlement. The additional time and diligence this took was at his expense. It would have been easier for him to focus on my roof, replace and move on. Because of his full service construction capability and diligence my entire property was restored to prestorm condition. His crews were punctual and cleaned up their debris and their workmanship was top notch.
