I learned about Voodoo Roofing while on my gynecologist’s table, bemoaning finding an honest roofer (it’s remarkable the conversations one can have with someone elbow-deep in them), and my doctor said another of her patients had recently sung Apryl’s praises.

I’d found lots of companies who were happy to take my money for a fortified roof, but when I asked for a certificate of proof, they vaporized.

Apryl was sharp and professional. I learned that she’d been in this industry since she was a teenager, and had incorporated her business about ten years before my job. More bad ass women in construction? Yes, please!

Before working on my project, I asked why she got a later start than some other contractors. Her response was immediate: “I have an OSHA meeting with my crew first thing in the morning, because every job is different“.

She didn’t send someone else out to look at my home. She checked my attic, got up on the roof, and showed photographs to discuss possible concerns before she got started. Her crew turned the job around in a heartbeat, and everything was spotless when they left.

Coming into this year‘s hurricane season, I’m a bit more relaxed, knowing that such a professional job was done on my home.

We chose Apryl and her team for our roofing project. Apryl stood out among the competition with her attention to detail from the beginning. Most of my estimates were simply calculated from a satellite photo. She was only one of two roofers that actually got on our roof before she gave us an estimate for our Fortified roof. This gave her more information to accurately assess our needs.

She uncovered issues in our post-Ida roof install job. Using her information, we were able to go back to the previous roofer and receive a refund due to the poor install (although they were a licensed and insured commercial contractor). Apryl’s team was efficient and professional. She takes personal pride in each roof.

We installed a Fortified roof, and we have saved substantially on our homeowner’s insurance with USAA. It looks beautiful, we know it has been done correctly, and we know that we are protected from wind and rain more than ever before. She also did our gutters, and they were installed very quickly and look perfect.

Apryl was referred to us by a good friend. I’m so thankful for the referral, because she stands out about the rest. You will not regret giving April and her team at Voodoo Roofing a call.

Voodoo replaced my roof and gutters and did an excellent job!

After using a shoddy out of town contractor after Hurricane Ida, Apryl and her team of pros replaced the three year old roof.

Apryl communicates at every step of the process and has a great team of roofing installers. She really knows her trade well.

Our new Fortified Roof should last decades! Highly recommend them.

The superior products, to the details, to sharing the process thoughout, has been a great experience, despite needing a new roof.

This is an excellent roofing business run by a woman who is very knowledgeable and professional! She will be direct and honest about what you do need and not try to sell you what you don’t need. Trustworthy and excellent work!
