Village True Value Home Center

Travis is just wonderful and extremely helpful and I can never remember to get her name but the lady at the front checkout is always so kind and in a pleasant mood.

My experience with this place is about the u haul I can tell you it's the poorest run place I have ever done business with it's the worst rudest incompetent human beings I have ever done business with if you can do yourself a favor and run don't walk run away from this place.

Great store with good selection and close to the West Gate. Very handy to have it nearby. Employees are very helpful. However, be sure to check operating hours before coming!

I wanted to take a friend in the hospital a seasonal plant...not flowers that will die in a few days. I checked out other stores for seasonal plants and the Village Home Center was the best by far. I was able to pick up a beautiful planter full of various flowers and greenery. I'll check the Home Center FIRST next time!

I went there a couple weeks ago with a long list of harder to find items to finish a variety of DIY projects for my church, and the service was excellent. The manager understands that WOMEN know how to repair things, too, so I appreciate that I don't get talked down to or ignored. I have recommended the store several times & will be taking a new list shortly!

Bought 5 gallons of paint from the true value home center to paint a townhouse interior. The paint didn't match when it dried. Had a buddy helping me with the project. His time totally wasted because of the stores mistake and they only want to replace 3 of the gallons even though the whole unit has to be completely repainted. Not satisfied. I recommend going to a paint specialty store that knows more of what they are doing so you don't waste your time.

Love it! They have everything that you would ever need or want for your home. Treat them right. They deserve it.

We thought we needed a new chuck but the very informative man helped us to fix the one we have and also went thru the O.P. so we felt like we could do this.
Because they were so friendly and helpful, we will definitely be back to the Village True Value.

My husband and I reserved a u-haul from this location over a month in advance to our cross-country journey. We also called an hour ahead to showing up on the day of, and yet it took over two and a half hours to get us our uhaul from the time we first arrived to the store. This was very frustrating because we had already made all of the necessary preparations to pick up our uhaul. We were also on a time crunch, seeing that we had three days of traveling ahead of us, and the uhaul company alots five days for the total use. None of the store employees that helped us seemed to know what they were doing.
They printed out a sheet showing how much gas was in the tank. The sheet showed 5/8 of a tank (40 gallons) but when we got our uhaul, it had 17 miles left until empty. Another frustrating mess.
Then, when we returned our uhaul, we find out that they had entered the wrong type of trailer into the system instead of our auto transport. This made it very difficult to return our uhaul & auto transport to the company in North Carolina.

Please, PLEASE, if you are looking for a uhaul, rent it from a different location, and save yourself all of the trouble that we have just been through. I knew this location was new to carrying the uhauls, but I thought they would be a little bit better equipped to handling everything in a more efficient manner.
Do not go to True Value Home Center for a U-Haul!

Very friendly people, always making sure you find what you're looking for, very nice store and clean as well. Which most likely means, they have a great staff.

For a local hardware store, this store does OK. For example, was able to find a specific size of AC filter, and replacements for kitchen fluorescent lights. The customer service is variable, and for the most part above average. Associates are helpful, friendly and usually very knowledgeable. I'm grateful they are just outside the Village because usually saves a trip into town.

New management, new name. Friendly staff, higher prices, relatively good range of choices. Surprisingly, has a large Hallmark department. Staff knows where to find the items (unlike Lowe's, where they send you from aisle to aisle). Expect a smaller number of choices, i.e. if you get it at all, go for it. Smaller or larger packages are normally not available but could be ordered.
Opening times surprisingly tight but one gets used to it.

Slightly higher prices? Not at all slightly higher, how about double the price? Yes I bought a Filtrate air filter at Wal Mart for around $8.00. Realized I needed another so instead of returning to WM. I ran to True Value to pick one up. Wow, same exact filter over double the price. No one's fault but my own, knew better from previous experiences at other True Value stores. Next time I'll put the $8.00 in my gas tank! What a rip off.

My experience has always been good. Friendly helpful people. If they did not know an answer they found someone who did. Now the store has changed over to True Value and it is impressive how clean and neat and organized everything is. Additionally they carry high class products. I am thankful they are here in the Village. If not for them I would have to drive 20+ miles to another store of similar products. The management is to be commended. Good job guys!
