I am a condo unit owner, so had no experience with the contract details, but I had a front-row seat to the work the VT Construction crew did on our 4-unit building as well ss the building behind ours. I was so impressed by how highly motivated everyone was, working steadily with focus solely on the work at hand. Also with the several young women who loaded wheelbarrows with debris and then deposited in a dumpster on the street. The final cleanup was done meticulously!! They worked 7-7!! The new roofs are beautiful!! Project Well done! Thank you!

Todd and his crew were very professional and extremely competent. They explained all the issues with our roof and performed the repairs efficiently. Most importantly they were easy to work and communicate with.

We had a good experience working with Todd and Jose. I'll update if something changes, but they were very responsive to our needs and worked quickly once they were able to access the roof. We originally contracted with another roofer to replace our roof, but after we started to remove the old roof, they backed out. We received a few quotes and heard different approaches to the project. VCC seemed best in line with our needs at the moment and had the capacity/flexibility to adjust if needed. They worked efficiently and the quality seems solid. I would work with this crew again.

I couldn't give a lower review. Promising at the start but quickly went south. All I can say is go with literally anyone else if you can - lots of great companies in our little state who will be honest and kind and do great work. If you have no other option, quadruple check your contracts, keep and document every single correspondence and time they come to your house, and don't let the owner bully you (and he'll try if you challenge anything at all, even when the challenge is legitimate). At best they are ignorant of decent business practice and at worst they are discriminatory and/or unethical or illegal.

Love a service provider that stands behind their product, with no pushback. Four years ago, in 2020, Vermont Construction put a new roof on our house. Unfortunately, their process failed on one part of my roof causing a leak that did not show itself until recently. I called them and they sent out a specialist. He identified the problem quickly and owned the cause and offered the solution for the company. Subsequently, a team came to fix the issue and a second team came to repair my ceiling drywall. All at no cost. No complaints. Hats off to the owners and the management team. Hats off to the work crews and their supervisor, Kipp Youngman. I highly recommend Vermont Construction Roofing Division.

Once again, 5 Stars in every aspect. They came within a week to tarp 1/2 of a roof that they will replace first thing in the spring.
I received more than my money's worth. Given the amount of time the crew spent putting the tarp on, there is no way they made a profit. It was done because they care about people. They arrived as scheduled, completed the install flawlessly, and they left the property exactly as they found it. The office team is extremely professional, responsive, and very fluid.

This company has left me with great displeasure. They were very adamant about me replacing my roof instead of doing just the repairs which were need. After following their directions, I replaced the roof section they wanted to at the cost of almost 8000 dollars. Now the same area that had the leak prior to being fixed has a worse active leak.

They were very much in a rush to replace the old roof but now calling to try to get someone out to fix the issue has been a game of wait and see. The new roof is supposed to be under warranty, but what about the damage to my ceiling and the active leak I have in my guest bedroom/ art studio?

If this is how this company treats veterans I suggest anyone who has served in the military do not engage with this business.

Just wanted to say how vermont construction has served my family so well after installing a new roof on our home. They did an excellent job, and stand behind their work, as evidenced by coming all the way out to our house twice to repair weather damage from high winds and storms. I don't know where we would be without them. Great company.

I did not have a good experience and the workmanship was amateurish. Of particular note was the low quality boot they put on my standing seam material roof for the plumbing vent. It is some small plastic/rubber thing that doesn't properly lap the roof and the only thing holding the water out is some silicon caulk. Took forever for them to patch some scrapes that they made when installing the roof and they tried to charge me before they were repaired. I will never use them again and wish I hadn't used them in the first place.

These guys were great. They came and did all the work in one day. Chris russell was excellent to work with . I was in a bind because of the bank and they came within one week to get the job done.i recommended working with chris and his team.

I contacted Chris Russell at Vermont Construction Company Roofing Division to get a quote for a new roof and was very impressed with the service I received. The turn around from quote to new roof was three weeks. The actual roof was turn off and a new one installed in less than 8 hours. My yard was cleaned up and other then the new roof you would never know they had been there. I would highly recommend contacting Chris for your roofing needs.

If you're considering this company for your roof, strongly recommend looking elsewhere. Our experience has been as follows:

1. Our back roof was removed and improperly sealed before a storm, causing leaks into our interior wall and ceiling. They replaced the roof taping/damaged exterior area but would not replace our damaged ceiling or door, only promising to install a new door "at cost" at a later date.

2. We had damage to our siding due to a tree fall. It took three separate visits from the team to fix after they missed details that were captured on our agreed-upon quote. The final product is seemingly shoddy craftsmanship with gaps and sections that will likely be prone to water intrusion. The exterior light fixture was removed, and trim placed over, leaving no access to hook the light back up. The drip edge in the rear doesn’t seem to be angled correctly, causing water to run over the side of the trim and down the side of the structure.

3. Our roof was installed within one morning, but without the vents we requested (listed in our contract) and with a subpar cleanup (if any, there were nails in our neighbor’s driveway). We only received a day notice between scheduling and installation.

4. The initial roof replacement did not include removal of rotten wood, which was the reason for replacing the roof in the first place. The roofers simply ran asphalt shingles to the top of the existing snow-belt and didn’t inspect sheathing along the trim as requested.

5. We repeatedly called the office without an update or promise to schedule the work, install the vents, and remove rotten sheathing. It took well over a month to get a tech on site to review next steps.

6. The vents installed on our roof were not the vents promised or described in our signed quote. We were not aware that the vents installed were going to be different to the ones agreed upon until after installation. While the team did offer to change the vents while still on site, they had already cut into our roof. We decided to keep the vents. The guys on site were good, but we were disappointed with the communication issues with the office, and again, subpar cleanup on our property.

7. After under a month, our roof is leaking again. We were promised a call asap to schedule a tech, but no call has been received yet.

This has not been a good experience. We did receive a minor discount after we noted the errors and timeline, but all of these issues have led to us being concerned with the quality of our roof. For such a large purchase, look elsewhere if at all possible.

They arrived on time, finished the job on time, and it was professionally done. We could not be more pleased.

Great company that came out in an emergency situation and replaced a full roof in the middle of winter. Great folks to deal with!

Elena from Vermont Construction Company came to my house two days after I had requested a roof replacement estimate. She was prompt, personable and knowledgeable. I also wanted my chimney modified with the new roof and she promised to include an estimate for that also. I had my estimates later the same day and it was very competitive with an estimate I had received from another reputable company. I signed a contract with VCC and three weeks later they were replacing my roof. In that interim I had a couple of questions/concerns and reached out to Elena who promptly responded to me. The roof and chimney were completed in one day and clean up was good. The new roof was beautiful but the chimney needed some finish work. I contacted Rob at VCC and with my concern and he arranged for Will to come over and address my concerns. Will did a terrific job and VCC has a completely satisfied customer. Everyone at VCC I had contact with were professional and friendly and I would not hesitate to do business with them in the future.

These folks really are amazing! From the very beginning with Elena who did the quote to the office staff who helped with scheduling, and especially the crew, we are very happy.
The crew worked super hard the entire time they were here, and they were very professional, cleaned up the site and removed all the small pieces of shingle on our property as well as all the small nails. They protected my flowers and things around the house, and got the job done in one day!

They performed the work as promised, in a timely manner, and they were really conscientious about cleaning up after which I really, really, appreciate.

From the first call to the completion of our roof we were incredibly impressed with Vermont Construction and their Team. Our roof looks amazing and was complete in one day. All of the crew were all extremely professional and courteous. They kept up with all of the cleanup throughout the day and they went over our property several times to be sure nothing was missed. We highly recommend and would use them again in a heartbeat!

We had more than 20 men and women primarily from Ecuador remove the cedar shingles from 2 structures (total over 5000 sqft, main house 3 stories, cottage 2 stories, complex angles, high vaulted, 3 chimneys, copper gutters), and place 2 new asphalt shingle roofs (so we can install solar). The removal took half the first day and the 2 new roofs were finished by the next day (2 days total). Clearly these people are very experienced and efficient. Clean up was immaculate. Polite and professional.

Vermont Construction Company was a pleasure to work with. They were prompt and professional from initial contact, quoting, scheduling, completing our roof replacement, and in follow up. The work crew was efficient, deliberate, and left our yard as it was when they arrived. I will certainly recommend them to friends.

I have been suggesting this company to all of my friends and family that have roofing needs. They were just so timley, profesional, kind and had extreamly clear communication and they did a great job. My husbands a contractor and he was amazed by their speed and quality. Vermont Construction evaluated, quoted and installed our new roof after some heavy wind damage to the aging one. They provided a detailed quote of the work and answered any questions. The team they sent was professional and put a new roof on in an astounding single day. Our home is 5,000 sqft with a roof of 60+sq. They stripped it in 2 hours and spent the day laying new roofing and ensuring the site was clean. They left a happy customer that evening. Absolutely use these guys again and have recommended them friends already

Vermont Construction contacted me in a timely fashion. The time between inspection and installation was short and the work was done well. Very professional. We also gone drone pics of the results and the price was very reasonable.

Incredible group of workers. Showed up early, removed old roof and installed new roof all in a single day. Excellent clean up. After final review, work quality is good. Could be great if workers did not rush quite so much. Over all, job well done. Thank you

I was very pleased by the speed and the complete lack of drama from anyone at Vermont Construction Company. As it was, they left virtually no mess (no small feat with a winter roof repair). Then a week or so later, a worker came by with a magnetic sweeper to pick up any stray nails. On top of that, the roof looks good! One small detail I appreciated was the care and precision of the drip-edge. It was carefully trimmed to fit- very nice.

Showed up on time, did the job in a reasonable amount of time for the estimated cost. New roof looks good & no leaks, couldn’t ask for more.

We have had Vermont Construction do two separate roofing projects for us so far and both have been great experiences. Their crews work fast and efficiently and clearly take a lot of pride in their work. Cleanup was very thorough both times. Highly recommend
