I recently had sump pump failure flooded basement. Vanguard provided exceptional service and quality work for mitigation. The entire team was very professional and detail oriented. We had a great experience using Vanguard to replace our roof. Tony Hernandez helped us through every step and was very thorough in his explanations. He was flexible to our schedule and worked with our insurance directly to answer questions and file a claim. The process was smooth, and I got to be hands off for the most part. This is a new review, but a past experience. Vanguard replaced my roof a little over a year ago. Replacing a roof can be very uneasing for home owner. Vanguard walked me through the process and handled the claim with my insurance company personally. The process was virtually carefree for me. Some time after, the roof on my church building was damaged in a major storm. I immediately contacted Vanguard. They came right out, again, took care of everything with the isurance company, and put a brand new roof on our church. I highly recommed Vanguard!

When you have roof work, you just want someone you can trust and who will be there when you need them. Tony Hernandez at Vanguard hit all the marks for us – he was absolutely fantastic! We live in an area where a lot of contractors didn't feel like dealing with our roofing project, but Tony at Vanguard didn't hesitate at all. We had several different roofing contractors come out for quotes, but Tony was one of only two that physically went up on the roof to take a thorough look. He walked us through every step of the process (which many of the others didn't), answered all of our questions without rushing us, and didn't try to upsell us on things we didn't need. He also went out of his way to always make sure we were taken care of. His response time was quick, he fit in person meetups into his schedule even though we're far from the Vanguard office, and he went above and beyond in every regard.

The installation crew was also great! They were all very kind, respectful of our property, and fast hard workers despite the hot weather. And the roofs look great!

Courtney at the office is always kind, cheerful, and ready to answer all my questions. Mark worked with our insurance company to keep things moving and make sure they received everything they needed.

Shane did an amazing job with my roof, he got my insurance to cover the whole thing other than my deductible! He also helped several of my family members ! If he knocks on your like he did mine, there is a good chance you can get a roof at minimal cost!

I had a new roof installed by Vanguard after a severe rain and wind storm this past winter. Along with the loss of of over 30 shingles we also had water damage inside the house. Alissa and Shane handled everything from documenting the damage to working with my insurance company and getting the job completed in a timely manner. Allisa Kent with Vanguard made it very easy for me to replace the shingles on my house, garage and shed. She went on the roof and inspected the shingles for wind damage from a storm a few months earlier and decided my insurance would likely pay for the damages from the storm. She set up a call the with her, the insurance agent and myself.All I had to do was say my name and she did the rest of the talking to the insurance agent and set a date for the appraiser to come look at my roof. Two weeks later I had a new roof on my house, garage and shed. I only paid for the deductible to the insurance company. Vanguard removed the old shingles, replaced some rotted plywood and put much better quality shingles on all in one day. They also replaced a facial board and reinstalled my rainspout. They did a great job on the roof and also cleaning up everything around the house. If you are in need of a new roof I would highly recommend calling Allisa with Vanguard General Contractors.

After a recent thunderstorm, Mark with Vanguard came out to inspect my Moms roof and siding. There were several pieces of siding flapping and off my house. After a brief back and forth with my mom’s insurance company, Vanguard fixed my house back like new!

I hope this message finds everyone well. I recently had my roof replaced. It was definitely time, but I had no idea when I’d be able to get it completed. I was lucky enough to get a visit from Faisal from Vanguard General Contracting (Vanguard GC). Faisal was professional and courteous. I had a little time, so I decided to hear his offer. They were in the area surveying roof damage, and mine was definitely among the houses affected. I’ve only been a homeowner for 4 years so I’m still learning about taking care of this place. My roof had some damage due to weather and it hadn’t crossed my mind that I could use my insurance to help me get a new roof. At that point, my interest was peaked. Then I met the other member of the team, Shane. Another courteous professional, he explained in plain terms how to go about getting my roof replaced. Tony and Vanguard have been phenomenal to work with. I contacted Tony after a huge windstorm with speeds clicked at 80mph hit back in January. Tony came out, assessed the issue, and informed us that because it was caused by a wind storm, he could get it covered by our homeowners insurance. The leak also caused our gas fireplace to stop lighting. Tony handled all major communication with the insurance company (the insurance company called me directly to let me know when the adjuster would be out, Tony handled literally every other conversation), told me to contact a fireplace tech of my choosing, and he even handled the payment for the fireplace. After all of the help and information he provided, and to me this is the most important part, there was a minor problem with the work. Tony had someone out literally the next day to fix it. That's the actual customer service. That's how you know that your warranty is good and they actually stand behind their work. Honestly beyond thrilled with the whole process, work, company, and Tony in particular. If you need a new roof, see Tony and Vanguard!!!

Shane came to my door and mention I had some missing shingles with a discontinued roof product. He said he could get my roof approved through my insurance company and did exactly that! Vanguard did an incredible job for us replacing our roof. They were here exactly when they said they would be here. They did exactly what they said they'd do. I recently had my siding replaced by Vanguard. My siding was over 30 years old aluminum siding and had hail storm damage. Marcus, staff, suggested we check in with the insurance since that might be something they cover. Placed a claim with my insurance and the day my insurance came to inspect so did Marcus. This was going above and beyond to really be able to be represented by an expert in siding/roofing when the insurance came to point out the hail damage. I also learned that since my siding was aluminum it was discontinued they would most likely cover the entire siding. My siding was approved by the insurance and the process was very smooth to get my siding installed. Took about two months to get the siding installed. Weather permitting for the installation due to snow took a little longer about a week. One other thing they replaced wood in my fireplace because it was rotten, nicely done and no need to worry in a future. Overall recommend Marcus and his team for a fantastic job.

I have had a fantastic experience working with Marcus to have roofs and skylights replaced at my place in Annapolis. It took me several months to approve the final plan during which Marcus was highly supportive and patient, providing info as needed. During the on-site construction, we realized much of the existing gutter work was not reuseable as believed. Vanguard stepped up and replaced the gutters on my house without a hitch. And did I mention Marcus made sure my insurance company paid for everything? Remarkable effort! I recommend Marcus and Vanguard without reservation!

While I ultimately opted to use another contractor to replace my wind damaged roof (as that roofer could schedule me a bit more expeditiously), I was extremely impressed by my interactions with Vanguard. Every interaction was highly professional (initial contact with the office, quickly scheduling an appointment, and arriving promptly for that scheduled appointment for the estimate). Also, Tony thoroughly stepped me through the process, answered all my questions, and fully explained the insurance claim estimate and how Vanguard would work with the insurance company. From these interactions, I will be requesting an estimate from Vanguard on gutter replacement when that time comes. It is clear that customer service and communication are top notch with this contractor.

Shane took care of everything. Tom made sure my roof was replaced perfectly. They were on time, polite, moved quickly and respectful of my neighbors. They left my yard cleaner than they found it and they also cleaned my neighbor's yard. I have no complaints at all, I will highly recommend them to everyone I know.
