Van Drunen Roofing

About a year ago we had to have our chimney housing replaced after a wind storm. We had about 4 companies come out and look at it. The other 3 companies were quick to comment about hail damage and that we needed to have the roof replaced, and proceeded to tell us to contact our insurance company and then give them a call back. Jed didn't even mention it. We needed our chimney housing replaced that was what he came to look at, when I asked about the roof he said "it has hail damage and is aging I would give it 2-3 years max" Had the Van Drunen team do the work and did an excellent job. Fast forward to this year, we had the funds to have the roof replaced so we moved forward with doing so. We had about 5 companies come out same thing "Call your insurance company and then give us a call" even after explicitly saying we didn't want to go through insurance. Jed came out and took the measurements and gave us a fair price and didn't once push insurance. Throughout the processes Jed didn't push anything. The entire process was seamless their team was professional, punctual, and highly skilled. They communicated clearly throughout the process, respected my property, and delivered exactly what they promised—on time and within budget. The quality of their workmanship is outstanding, and it’s clear they take pride in what they do. I highly recommend Van Drunen Roofing to anyone looking for reliable, top-notch roofing services. We did have one minor issue with our driveway but they took care of it. Jed and Sarah run a great shop and I would (and already have) recommended them to friends and neighbors in the area.

Jed and the crew did a great job! I had him come out to estimate a few years back and he was honest at the time and told us we could likely last with our then current roof for another year or 2 without much risk. If you would have suggested then that we get it done at that time, we probably would have. But instead Jed was honest and we were able to wait as he said.
A few years indeed, and we called Jed back and got it done! That initial trust was all it took, he proved himself, and now we have a beautiful new roof and gutter guards that are going to last the rest of our lives.

Thank you for doing our roof in a very timely manner. We had our whole roof replaced along with our skylights. Our property was left in excellent condition after they finished the job. The roofing company owner walked the property after the job and found a landscape light broken. He sent me a picture and offered to replace it. I told him I believed it to be broken before he arrived. I appreciated the honesty. I would highly recommend this company for a roofing job at your home! Jed was super responsive about scheduling our initial quote. Gave us a lot options and ideas and did not feel like high pressure sales tactics. He suggested we contact our homeowners insurance to see if we get any sort of discount for the different grades of tile (we don't but doesn't hurt to ask). He let us know about the tax break for the solar fan we added. He brought samples to the house. They were able to squeeze us in during a warm week in January. Very flexible to work with and very happy with our new roof. Thank you Jed and team!

The guys did my neighbor's roof and I was impressed with the workmanship. When I got the go ahead from insurance I called Jed and scheduled the replacement. They got some good weather and we're ready 10 days early. In and out in one day and did a great job. Cleaned up to make sure there was no debris out nails in the yard. Extremely satisfied with the job that VanDrunen roofing did for me.

Jed and his crew at Van Drunen Roofing were very professional, friendly, and extremely thorough. They came highly recommended and did not disappoint in any way. They were not the “cheapest” bid received, but certainly provided the best overall value. Especially, when compared to some of the outrageously priced (60% +) bids received from the highly promoted & advertised roofing, siding, and window companies on the internet. Do your research and ask lots of questions. If unsure, talk to previous customers to gauge their level of understanding and why they made the choice they did. Get multiple written bids and be sure you understand exactly what you are being provided. All roofers ARE NOT the same and you DO NOT always get what you pay for. A premium price may only guarantee the contractor’s “project manager” shows up to quote in business casual attire and a brand new pickup truck!!!

Van Drunen Roofing did an excellent job with our roof replacement. They also helped us by replacing the old, worn-out, skylight in our foyer. The bid was prepared quickly and the work began on time and when promised. The tear-off was completed quickly and the debris removed immediately. The cleanup was thorough and the gutters, yard, and landscaping were completely free of nails and other debris.

The roof looks beautiful and the new Velux skylight with wireless window shade is a huge improvement over the old Andersen unit which had dripped condensation on the ceiling since it was first installed over 30 years ago. We love the clean look and durability of our new metal valleys.

As a family run business, Jed and his wife work together as a team to make sure you feel comfortable with their professionalism. They care about their customers and we highly recommend them for any roofing related work.

These guys love to work in the rain. From start to finish, top notch work all the way. Jed and crew took the time to work with us and never said no to anything. Even a last second shingle color change. I cannot stress that enough, they were very accommodating. This was very important to us as we are finishing our attic among other things.
