Valentine General Construction did a phenomenal job with a very involved and large scale project at my home. Sub- contracted workers, inspectors, city and county personnel all had to work together to complete the job and Valentine Construction was extremely adept at bringing all the parties involved together to make it happen. Basically, Valentine does what they say they are going to do, go above-and-beyond and are knowledgeable professionals! I would highly recommend them!! and plan on calling them for future projects! Julio came to my home and replaced all windows and did an excellent job doing so. He even painted all of the trim around each of the windows. He also cleaned up at the end very well and I was impressed overall. - Marlene V.

We had our basement bathroom gutted and redone. The project was completed on time and on budget. It looks beautiful. They do great work. I’m a hard person to impress but I am very impressed by the quality of their work.

They rebuilt our deck for us, repaired our concrete driveway, poured a new sidewalk for us, replaced our front and back doors, fixed our staircase to the basement, replaced our stairs to our family room, and many other smaller jobs. Everything was done on time up to code and on budget. What a treat to work with!!!

Julio has done some window and door installations and repairs for us and has done an awesome job. He showed up when he said he would and worked until the job was done. The morning after a break in, I texted him and he was there within hours to give a quote and then back shortly thereafter with all that was needed to repair the door frame and reinforce the door for us—all with very short notice.
His work is professional and you can see that he puts care into what he does. He cleans up after finishing projects, is respectful and responsive and a super friendly guy.

We really enjoyed working with Julio. He’s a very personable and kind and very professional! They did wonderful work on our 1935 Sears home in Elgin. We felt like they were able to match a certain style of window to nod to the vintage character of the home. Highly recommend!

Valentine Construction did an amazing job repairing a couple spots in the soffit of our roof where squirrels were getting in. They were very kind, responsive and easy to communicate with. Very impressed with Valentine construction. Julio and his crew showed up and got to work methodically working on everything agreed to. They replaced a porch column, removed porch railing, and replaced exterior trim, then painted everything. The quality of work was fantastic. It turned out great and all for a reasonable price. Valentine General Construction has done several large and small construction jobs for me and I’ve never been disappointed. Over the past decade they’ve painted my exterior, did my roof, finished my attic, and remodeled an entire investment property. Valentine has done many projects in our house from new windows, sliding doors, new ceiling and bathroom tile work. Julio is our go-to when we have a new project in mind. He has never disappointed us and we will be working with him again soon as he is quoting a new driveway!!

Valentine Construction did a wonderful job on my old house. They replaced all the windows, the roof, siding, gutters, took down a failing chimney and more. Our house has never looked better or been more efficient. They showed up on time each day with a plan and got right to work. At the end of each day, they cleaned up everything (tools and mess) and left our house clean and in order. The whole crew was friendly and knowledgeable - and I will be happy to call them again in the future.

Valentine Construction did an amazing job on our lead abaitment paint project. They went above and beyond to do all the small details, and the quality of their work was excellent!! Very happy and satisfied with the great work that Valentine Construction did at my 1920's house from replacing all windows, new roof, expanded front door steps with railings and much more. I can't thank them enough and I definitely would use them again for any other project.

Valentine Construction has been working on my house since I purchased back in 09', almost a complete overhaul. Everything from a new upstairs floor plan, roofing, bathrooms, front porch, to new windows. Great quality work, truthful, honest, and always professional.

The Valentine team helped us with almost a full uplift to our house. In bringing our old (built 1903) house up to snuff, they replaced the primary water meter (which was under our basement slab), new plumbing lines downstream, new circuit board, whole house humidifier, new AC, all new replacement windows and new gutters. It was a lot, but really needed and they did a great job on all of it. We’ve gotten thru two Chicago winters and summers with the upgrades and everything has been helping a ton.

We’ve since called them back for a few smaller fixes and he has always been able to help us out as timely as possible. I would recommend Julio and team in a heartbeat.
