UTE Flood & Fire

We had water damage all through the 1st floor. Another company came out to do water mitigation and take out all the drywall. UTE construction was subsequently called in to do the flooring, cabinets, base boards and even re-did the drywall work and fixed some electrical issues caused by the water mitigation company. This company is really responsive and professional. We will be using them for future work! Thanks to Steve and your entire team!

We would like to give a big shout out to Ute Construction! After having a broken pipe that caused water, mold and dry wall damage in our bathroom we had the pleasure of using them for many of the repairs. Not only did they do excellent work, they kept us up to date by giving us an accurate timeline on how long the repairs would take, they were respectful to our home, covering and protecting our property and left our bathroom looking better than it looked original!! We would recommend this company for any of your construction needs!!

My Father's Day gift to myself was a malfunctioning washing machine resulting in half of my home flooding. I was quick to contact a clean up service but had no clue as to where to start repairing the damage. My home insurance company suggested Ute Construction and that's all I needed to do. They handled everything from that point on and I could just sit back and watch. Very professional, very organized, very thorough work and very easy to work with. I could not have asked for anything better during a stressful situation. Now I have what looks like a new home. Thank you Ute Construction! I'd recommend you every time.

January 2025 - It is unfortunate that I have to come back here and downgrade my review for this company. Several outstanding items needed to be taken care of when my mom moved back into her house on June 1, 2024. There were promises up and down about how it would all be taken care of over the next couple of weeks. Eight months later, while most of the little things were done, there are still two major items that haven't been taken care of. We've communicated with them multiple times during the course of these months and have heard nothing but excuses. I'm very disappointed with this company.

June 2024 - I can't thank Ute Construction enough for their amazing work in rebuilding my mom's house after she lost it in a fire. From the very beginning, they were incredibly kind and understanding, making the whole process so much easier for her during such a tough time.

Jeff Bieber was her project manager, and he took the time to listen to her needs and rebuilt the house to her specifications exactly. The team paid attention to every little detail and made sure everything was perfect. My mom now has a beautiful new home that she absolutely loves, and it's all thanks to their hard work and dedication.

I highly recommend Ute Construction to anyone who needs home rebuilding services. They are not just professionals but also genuinely caring people. Thank you again for everything!

Our tub had a leak up stairs and started to drip down stairs. Made a huge hole in the ceiling, and I thought the ceiling will never be the same. My friend told me about UTE and I can’t even describe how amazing they were, the communication was phenomenal my ceiling looked like nothing ever happened. I had Phillip from Ute Construction come work on my house and I was blown away with the professionalism. I truly believe they’re worth every penny because of the experience shown during my walkthrough alone. Our garage area was damaged due to a water leak. Our insurance company got us in touch with Ed at UTE for the post water mitigation build back. He, Steve and Conner are who I worked with. The level of professionalism and the workmanship quality were S Tier. I am incredibly grateful. Ed took the reigns and reeled in the subcontractors for the flooring and plumbing and together they all made it happen ..... stress free. I felt completely comfortable and satisfied with every step. AND they helped insure that I wouldn't pay a dime out of pocket. Thanks again guys. I can't say enough good things about ya'll. I had water damage in my laundry Room. UTE was assigned to complete the repairs. Guillermo and Alejandro, Arrived. the work was completed in a phenomenal way. You can’t even tell that the damage was there after the repairs. Alejandro was punctual, pleasant,and professional, you can tell his workmanship was flawless.

We had a large water leak and the insurance company enlisted UTE as the General Contractor to do the repairs. UTE was prompt in coming out to give us an estimate. Jeff Bieber, the Project Manager, scheduled the work quickly, was attentive, and responded to all my requests and concerns all along the way. Marybel, who coordinated the flooring replacement helped us match the new flooring as close as possible to our existing flooring. Her workers were unobtrusive, cleaned up well and were polite. Brian, the cabinet expert, went above and beyond to ensure the woodwork matched my original cabinetry perfectly. In conclusion, KUDOS and many thanks to the professionalism of Jeff Bieber, the Project Manager, who worked with the specialized disciplines to get the job completed. We are very pleased with the final product.

They answered my call at 1am and showed up the next morning to help with a small kitchen fire I had at my home. Thanks UTE and Arrow for your help and immediate response!

Our experience was not as stellar as everyone else’s. Our insurance recommended the business. Not quite sure if they had another option probably should have asked. Ute was not the best choice.
After waiting sometime (shy of 2 weeks) for this appointment, to get started on the remodel, the contracted flooring Rep they used for business (LV Flooring), came unprepared, as they did not have the correct samples of the flooring to choose from. They sat outside in the car either on the phone or reviewing the xactimate plans at the appointment time instead of prior to the meeting scheduled this making them ten minutes late as I watched from the living room window. Due to their lack of knowledge of the plans/materials it caused one of us to have to go to the showroom and FaceTime the other to make a decision on flooring. We both could not leave as the wall contractor was working on repairing the wall and painting. Secondly, the first time we saw the Project Manager, Mike, he came initially with the wall contractor, talked to us about what will happen, instructed the wall contractor on what was required of the job - not in full disclosure according to the xactimate plans which I had to explain later for painting that was required from those plans. Then the last time we heard from or saw Mike was when the project was done - never checked in by phone/email or air with us in between. The flooring guys - while efficient doing a partial good job should be told - when working with people’s furnishings and understanding what is required with completing the floor as it is their expertise - could have covered the furniture with plastic as there was so much dust from grinding the concrete - my husband and I had to do that for them. We were pleased with the efficiency in completing the work in a day and a half (roughly 1000 sq ft). We were definitely pleased with the wall/painting contractor as he and his son took pride in their work. Lastly my husband explained that the insurance gave him a larger percentage amount and could pay all of that money and once the insurance company receives their final invoice and sends him the additional funds by check he would provide Ute the remainder. I reiterate, He explained of a family emergency and would be out of town, to send the final invoice to the insurance so they can cut the check for final payment. The woman handling their monetary affairs would not take the majority payment acted as she understood and would send the final invoice so that all the monies could be paid at one time. We understood. Fast forward we hear nothing until thirty days are coming up since the job has been completed my husband gets an email notice of a delinquent balance bold red letter past due 30 days - still out of town - he reached out to the insurance adjuster via email who tells us they hadn’t received the final invoice for final payment. At this point we are rather annoyed/confused with the lack of clarity and communication throughout the business transaction with Ute. My husband forwards the response to Ute as the middle man an ah ha moment the final invoice is sent to the insurance! Yet another inconvenience for having to do your job again with project management. I give these detail’s because this was a stressful time for us with unforeseen damage to our home having our house in shambles for weeks while trying to live in it at the same time - we could not leave due to our dogs. The handling of business for a business during this time was not helpful nor warranted defeating the reason why we changed our minds not doing ourselves - in hindsight for the small aggravations with the lack of professionalism from the PROJECT MANAGEMENT COMPANY Ute we should have. I would not recommend business considering the cost of this project to the ins co, all the work is contracted out to other contractors. You could hire the same contractors to do the work via cards at Home Depot. The project management was less than professional in my opinion. I am one review but this being transparent about our experience.

My insurer recommended UTE and there could not have been a better recommendation. The entire team, Jan in the front office, Phil the estimator, Jeff the project manager, and Rob the technician, were all fantastic. A pleasure to deal with while simultaneously providing a first-class product. Be it disaster repair or desired updating and/or remodeling, UTE has my highest recommendation.

Absolutely loved the work from this company!! Jeff the project manager couldn't be more efficient and professional!! Our whole kitchen and downstairs had to be remodeled because of water damage. John the cabinet guy was beyond remarkable and fast too!! And our new cabinets and floors were jaw dropping gorgeous!!! VERY STRONGLY RECOMMENDED AND WOULD USE AGAIN A+++++++++

We hired UTE construction to repair our home after a flood. UTE was referred to us by our insurance company. Mike Kelly came out and did an estimate on the damage. Once the work started, Mike stayed in constant communication with me. UTE took better care of me than my own insurance or mortgage company. The team, Freddy and his brothers, took care of my home while they completed the job. Freddy and his brothers are extremely talented and it shows in my home. I continue to get compliments on how beautiful my house looks. I whole- heartedly recommend UTE construction and will definitely use them again. Thank you, UTE Construction Team!

Ute construction is the most poorly run construction firm that I have ever interacted with. We were forced to go with them by our insurance company, because they lowballed a quote another more reputable company had provided. After taking the project, they never sent a Project Manager or made any kind of plan. After five weeks of waiting for them to start, finally the subcontractors came.

They would have their subcontractors asking US for construction advice. Questions they would know the answers to if anyone has ever come and done a proper analysis of what this home needed, which Ute’s management did not bother to do.

We communicated our frustrations with them many times, at first being very polite, and then eventually becoming heated enough to have to involve our insurance company. The kept promising better management of our project, but that did not materialize. They say the project is completed, though a shower drain that was working before no longer does, and Ute claims they did nothing wrong and won't fix it. We singed off on it to be done with them.

The worst part is, this could have been a 5-Star project. The actual WORK that was done was beautiful. But the company is so poorly managed it is my estimation that no one should ever do business with them and they have fairly earned their low star rating, and it even may be a little too fair.

After getting a second opinion on the leaking sink and slow shower drain, the new plumber was able to quickly identify and flush the construction debris Ute's plumber, The Water Heater Man, had left behind in the shower drain - claiming "we had crumbling old pipes." Then he was able to show us where Ute had cracked the water connection while installing the sink, causing the leak. He was able to fix that as well.

My father's home had water damage to our kitchen and flooring. I needed a construction company to go through to do all the renovations and repairs.
I was referred to this company by a friend of mine. After getting several different proposals and quotes from this company as well as a few others I am happy I chose to go through UTE. They made sure to meet all of our requests and were able to get us back in our home as expediently as possible. Steve and Ed were two very great guys to work with. As well as their internal contractors that did all the work.
I would strongly refer them Did anyone looking for a good construction company.

Worked with Phil the owner and he demands good workmanship and job complete. If there's deficiencies, he won't turn the job back to the customer until it's complete and quality control is satisfied. That's the making of a good company and people who care.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. They are nasty & unreliable. All of them. They will harass you for money you know you don’t owe. It took over 5 months to finish the work on my home which had water damage. They tricked into buying a new roof and over charged when I didn’t even need one. Stay away far far away. Get a company that actually cares.

I had a 10:am appointment for estimations. The owner came over and hour early. Then asked me a bunch of questions while talking pictures of my dog without permission. He was rapid questioing me but focused only on my dog. I started to talk about the damage and that we should not be here for my dog but the damage in my home. This is when he said that I was a customer that he could not deal with because he can just tell ....in 5 minutes he was leaving after taking pictures of my dog, not waiting for my answers, insulting me without provocation. This happened all in 5-8minutes. I don't trust this company and it was the owner that came out. He was unaware that another person was in my home at the time and that this was all heard by the other person. BE AWARE OF THIS HORRIBLE PERSON WHO OWNS THIS HORRIBLE COMPANY!

very unprofessional, took at least 2-3 calls to the foreman every day to get a call back. Project was claimed as done to the insurance company , they left tools in the house, lockbox still on the door, took shortcuts wherever they could…on top of it, my bathroom looked like a bunch of drunk frat boys had used it

Overall I am happy with the work and communication from Ute during the repairs to my home following a flood. Steve the project manager was very nice and attentive to all my concerns, both positive and negative, and resolved everything professionally and quickly. The two workers that completed all the work (minus floor and tile install) were the two most professional and skilled people I have ever had the pleasure to work with. The quality and speed of their work made this disaster I experienced a lot less stressful and I am thankful for that. I almost took off a star because I was not satisfied with the communication from the flooring contractor they used (Las Vegas Flooring, go see my review of them) but the work was finished satisfactorily and all the work and communication from Ute was great so they get 5 stars.

Never never use this company. No customer service at all. I was waiting for them over 2 days and the estimator show up he just ring my door bell and walk way. And when I called the customer service lady was trying to reschedule me and make me wait another five days. My advice to you find different company don't never use them again.
