I recently hired United Roofing to replace the roof on my home, and I couldn't be more satisfied with the entire experience. From the initial consultation to the final inspection, every step of the process was handled with professionalism, transparency, and care.

Their team was punctual, courteous, and highly knowledgeable. They took the time to explain all my options, provided a detailed and fair estimate, and kept me informed throughout the project. What really stood out was their attention to detail—both in terms of craftsmanship and cleanup. When the job was done, my property was spotless, and the new roof looked fantastic.

They also helped me navigate the insurance process, which saved me time and stress. It’s rare to find a contractor that combines quality work with outstanding customer service, but they have truly delivered on both fronts.

I would confidently recommend them to anyone in need of roofing repairs or replacements. They’ve earned my trust, and I’ll definitely call them again for any future work.

I’m giving United Roofing and Exteriors LLC a 1-star- review because they do NOT stand behind their work AND they erroneously told us that we had to have the roof decking/roof sheathing replaced because it was too thin…all they had to do, we learned later, was to add/lay on top the correct thickness of plywood. We had a roof replaced by them in the Spring of 2022. Overall, except what I mentioned above, everything seemed to go well.

In December 2024, we noticed 2 new water stains on our bedroom ceiling. When they sent someone out to take a look, he saw that when the roof was installed they had failed to put down some flashing around the dormer windows, so they fixed that and said they would return to paint the ceiling.

They have never returned to paint the ceiling despite numerous calls and text messages.

In Spring 2025, my husband noticed a leak from the roof during a rainstorm. He took a video, which I sent to the local owner/manager Yilbert who told me he would send someone out to fix and also paint the bedroom ceiling and we have heard NOTHING, despite sending several texts and calling and leaving voicemails.

What good is a product, that has a 50 year warranty, if the people who installed it won’t fix the issues that they are supposed to fix?

I was incredibly pleased with the entire process. I didn't have to deal with the insurance company. The contractors were genuinely nice, and they did an excellent job. I would recommend this company.

This company is absolutely incredible and I’ve recommended them to all my neighbors. We had a man named Anthony working with us and he was the absolute sweetest guy. Made sure everything we could’ve possibly needed was taken care of . THANK YOU!!!

Bad people and bad service. Please don’t do any work with these people. They are scammers .never answer your calls . They put me roof with 50 years warenty the roof is leaking in 1 year I call them to fix not answering unprofessional company. Please please don’t waste your money.

United Roofing is a first-class operation. United Roofing inspected my roof and gutters, complete with gutter cleaning, and everything was stellar and comprehensive, from their initial communication. They worked around my schedule and provided a free estimate/assessment.

United Roofing's office manager, Bailey, responded to my initial inquiries, and she is exceptionally responsive, professional, and just so pleasant and great to deal with. United Roofing's technician, Joe, came by within a day to complete the inspection and gutter cleaning -- it took only an email to get things rolling.
Joe is entirely knowledgeable, professional, and a super nice guy; he spent a ton of time going over every detail of my roof, gutters, and what preventative maintenance was necessary, and -- importantly -- what was not.
That last part is huge; Joe and the company are honest about what you do not need to pay for until it is required. Most companies I've dealt with do not do that!
United Roofing also sent me a complete set of pictures to see all aspects of the inspection.
I give United Roofing my highest recommendation for all routine and comprehensive roofing and gutter work.

We decided on United Roofing because they have good reviews on google. Our sales manager was Heather Brown. She was very informative and explained the whole process and their pricing model. It sounded great at the time, low up front cost, payment would mainly go through my insurance, and premiums would not increase. This was November of 2023. They let us know that their roofers did not work through the winter and so we waited.

In December Heather contacted us and told us she needed to temporarily switch jobs. She would give us her personal cell in case there were any issues. But ended up forgetting.

In January we tried to contact Heather to see if we could get any updates on the project. They were supposed to communicate with insurance to get the money for the project. But she never got back to us.

In late January we started calling regularly to get an update - sometimes weekly, sometimes daily. We finally got United Roofing to get a new manager assigned to us named Stephen. He called us to introduce himself, but that was the extent of our conversation.

In late February we asked Stephen to see if there were any updates at all for the work to be done or on the conversation with insurance. He told us he would get back to us. We never got an answer.

In late March Stephen told us he got into an accident so we stopped asking to give him time to recover and perhaps give United Roofing time to assign another manager.

At this point we started looking up other reviews and discovered that other people had actually faced issues with communication as well. A lot of people gave their down payments and then were never contacted again. Other people who managed to get the actual roofing work started had to personally request additional money from their insurance for the work. And others said their premiums definitely increased.

It is now June, we have called a few more times since late March and were always told they would get back to us. We have never heard back. At this point I am afraid to even start the process as I no longer trust the company. We considered trying to get our deposit back but given how difficult communication has been at every point, we're not sure we want to even try.

We'll just have to eat the $2000 deposit costs and find another company. If you're going to use this company please be careful.

United roofing did my roof, siding and gutter done very fast and my insurance paid for everything, thank you for everything yilbert

Pros:
- Sales person easy to work with on scheduling work and getting a crew out quickly to address a roof leak around roof vents.
Cons:
- Almost harassment-style sales calls to get more work added to the invoice that was nice-to-haves rather than must-haves.
- Quality of the work to fix leak was 1 out 5 stars. I paid ($300+) before inspecting the work myself which is obviously not a good thing to do with any contractor, so shame on me. The very next time it rained I had the leak just as bad as before the work was performed. I finally took a look at the work and the caulking was very low quality - almost no effort given to fix the leaks with just a few squirts of caulk in a few areas with clearly visible gaps around the vents. I watched a few YouTube videos and bought a $6 tube of roof caulk and fixed the problem myself - after the recent heavy rains I've had no issues at all.

Chris was fantastic. He was in our neighborhood offering other services, which we didn’t need. However, we had a bad storm recently and a piece of siding blew off of our house. There were countless other people who said they’d get back to us about fixing this and never did. Chris and his team fixed it on the spot the same day and did an excellent job. I’d highly recommend Chris and his team. They were friendly, professional, fast, efficient and provided high quality work.

I cannot thank Cris enough for his exceptional customer service. We had some wind damage to our siding, and no other company was willing to help us without replacing all the sliding. He gladly stepped up and said he was happy to help and this was such a relief for our family and can’t thank him enough! We will absolutely recommend him, and this company to our friends and family, and use them in the future.

I want to express my dissatisfaction with the service provided by this company regarding the inspection and subsequent handling of my roof.

Last year, we contacted your company to assess our roof's condition. Somebody names Christian Martinez from this company visited our home promptly, conducted an inspection, and verbally informed us that our shingles were outdated and several damages were present, including a missing shingle. He assured us that our roof could qualify for replacement through our insurance company. Due to our busy schedule, we postponed filing a claim until February of this year.

Upon reaching out to Chris again, we filed a claim with the help of him. However, on the scheduled inspection day, the united roofing guy failed to attend, citing an accident as the reason, despite being informed of the inspection date in advance. Furthermore, he forgot to submit the inspection photos to the insurance company, which finally resulted in the rejection of our claim. Despite numerous attempts to contact him, Chris has been unresponsive.

I am deeply frustrated with the lack of professionalism and customer service exhibited by UnitedRoofing. This negligence has not only resulted in a failed claim on my insurance profile but also led to a $300 increase in my home insurance premium upon renewal. It is unacceptable for a company to neglect its responsibilities and ignore a customer in need of assistance.

I am compelled to share my experience and give UnitedRoofing a 0-star review for its failure to fulfill its basic duties and for its lack of support when it mattered most.

Horrible experience. Avoid at all cost!!!

Cristian who is a sale representative knocked on my door on 4/29/23, insisted I get my roof checked and get a “free roof”. He said I wouldn’t owe anything out of pocket other than my deductible (remember this). Everything seemed fine and we started the process. I signed that day and I horribly regret it till this day. Insurance approved for new roof and the check came in around June for 25k, that’s when I gave him the check. That’s when all communication stopped. Reached out through text and calls for months and finally got our roof completed in late November. Fernado, who is also a representative took over all communications, after that he wasn’t much help as well. After checking out the work order and visual appearance, they installed the WRONG roof color. They said nothing can be done except a $1000 credit (deductible amount), I stupidly agreed since I’m zero out of pocket. Keep in mind, I sent multiple texts and calls to let them know which color I wanted. I even met Fernando at ABC to review samples and they still managed to get this wrong.

This is when it gets weird, they kept asking me to call my insurance adjuster to approve the supplements. After calling the adjuster, they claimed the supplement was submitted by a third party and was denied 3 times. Adjuster said they were adding too many false supplements. My adjuster said he explained why it was denied every time and United/third party kept submitting the same documents. I’m assuming they aren’t competent enough or didn’t read anything!

I then get a letter in the mail stating my house has a lien for 10.8k from the supplier (ABC Supply). I immediately call Fernando about the issue and he stated he wasn’t sure why this happened. But he also said it could because I didn’t help enough to get the supplement approved. Stated I need to put in effort as well. (This entire time I thought everything was done since they said I’m zero out of pocket and they already received a 25k check, also how is it my fault not helping with supplements since they keep submitting false or incorrect documents) I was pissed and he ended up saying I can’t help you anymore and reach out to the owner Yibert. He claims it was a mistake and actually removed it quickly. I also spoke to a previous employee and he stated this happened to another homeowner as well. Hmm… what’s going on here??

A month goes by and I thought everything was fine since Cristian said I’m zero out of pocket other than deductible. I got phone calls and emails from United saying I owe money still. After many miscommunications, I was told insurance owes depreciation of 2.3k. Once insurance sent out the check in Feb 2024, I wrote them a check and they couldn’t even wait a day to pick it up. It’s crazy how responsive they are getting money but nothing else.

I then get a call on a Saturday from a United representative asking if I sent/paid the check?! Cristian came and picked up the check earlier that week. I’m assuming miscommunication happens within the company as well.

Horrible experience. After all this stress, I would rather pay in full than deal with this BS. Home insurance went up significantly after this claim as well. Not worth it, seems like it’ll pay itself with the increase.

Also, I can’t be the only that dealt with them like this. Please leave your review as well!

This is another reason why I wouldn’t use this company or recommend.. What past due bill?

I never received any invoice until the roof was completed. Which I also had to CHASE the sales rep for.. There was a balance around 2-3k when I received it. BUT immediately I was told by the sales reps not to worry about it, stating insurance will pay for it. They kept saying this the whole time.

Thats when I received an invoice in Feb 2024. They then explained that amount was for depreciation. This was after all their supplements were denied. After they finally told me it was DEPRECIATION, insurance paid out and I wrote them the check the same week!

This company is a mess!

This company canvassed my neighborhood and signed a contract to install a new roof for me. Upon giving them my insurance check they have gone off the grid and will not return my calls. Be careful with these people, as of now they are committing fraud. I will change my review if they do as agreed and install my roof or return the funds.

This has been the worst company, I've ever used. I would not recommend anyone to work with this company unless they want to loose their money and do not get a satisfying work. Long story short, their professionalism is not desirable. Things to note is that employee only work their for a week. So don't expect to speak with the same person every time you call as they will tell you "I am no longer with the company"

Rich Kim and Ali Sulieman were fantastic to work with. I was amazed how they paid so much attention to detail in our exterior renovations. We got a brand new 50-year roofing system and a siding system as well. These guys do not cut corners. They installed everything according to manufacturer specifications and guidelines. Rich and Jose provided us the all the information, education, and most importantly gave us the comfort-level and confidence needed to move forward with our job. Big project and want this done right. Duy stopped by one day after noticing wind damage and missing shingles on our roof. After bringing Marcus to the house to do a more thorough inspection, recommended a roof replacement. Our experience with United, along with Duy and Marcus, was very professional. They were responsive, worked quickly and efficiently, and cleaned up our yard and driveway before they left each day. Working with United was very positive and would recommend them to others who needed a roof replaced.

Unfortunately, I have mixed reviews about United Roofing. I really wanted to leave a 5-star review, but at this point I cannot due to a lack of communication and follow through. I worked with Bill throughout this whole process. At first, he was extremely helpful and thorough in his communication. He seemed well knowledgeable about roofing and inspections. I especially felt well supported throughout the insurance claim process. He was regularly checking in and made himself available to speak with me and my insurance provider. Bill was fantastic throughout this stage in the overall process. Once I provided payment for the roof, communication started lacking. I had to initiate any conversation about when the roof was going to be installed. While I was hopeful to get at least a 24 hours’ notice about the roof installation, I was surprised by a text from Bill at 6:58AM in the morning stating that the “roof is being done today.” As I read this text, I heard trucks pulling in and soon received a knock on my door at 7:01AM. Essentially, I received a 3 minute warning. Luckily, I was still home at the time and was able to clear the cars out of the driveway for them. Early in our conversations, Bill assured me that all would be well taken care of and that he would be at the house during the installation, especially since we are first time home owners. Unfortunately, no representative from United Roofing came by our home on the day of the installation. Once the roof was installed (October 10, 2022), I reached out to Bill inquiring if someone would be completing a walk through and approving the work that was completed. I also shared with both Bill and Rich that there were several “soft” spots on the roof. These “soft” spots seem a bit concerning, so I wanted to make sure they were professionally checked out. As of January 9, 2023, this walk through has still not been completed… This could have easily been a 5-star review for this company as the roof looks aesthetically fantastic; however, I am still waiting on a walk through and my concerns have not been addressed.

Rich and Jose were awesome . They provided fantastic customer service and were advocated and advisors during the entire process . We had a great experience with United and would highly recommend their services . The workers were also awesome when they up the roof on and the yard and deck immaculate after they finished !

I had the pleasure of using United roofing to replace my damage roof. I started out from being to end with Terence Barnett ( Yaqiyn). Every time I had a conversation with him over the process, even when I was getting frustrated myself, he was always respectful and calm. He explained everything to me in such way that I was very happy that he was the project manager. It took a while for the process to be completed and I got my new roof. I’m very happy and please with the completion of my new roof. I would recommend Terence Barnett to anyone that needs a new roof done because of his professionalism and respectful manner in which he treated me as a customer.

The contacting process, the insurance interface, and the supervision of the roofing repair and gutter installation was among the best home service I have ever received. My family was introduced to this company by our friend Kevin who happens to work for United Roofing. Although we were a little skeptical at first, I am more than pleased at how reliable and efficient their service was and how well our roof maintenance actually turned out. (Customer service is also great, any inconvenience was immediately resolved or explained, 10/10 company we will definitely be referring to their services in the future.)

David G. was very attentive and answered all my questions helping me understand the process and being very polite. He made the insurance proceeds very simple and fast to get set up. He always answered and got things done in a timely manor so I don't have to wait too long. The roof installation was set up with in a day once the roofing materials were delivered. Company was instrumental in identifying roof damage from a storm that beat up a lot of homes on the east coast. Worked with me and my insurance company to submit a claim that resulted in insurance covering the cost of a new roof.
Staff is knowledgeable and workers were friendly and professional. Did a terrific job on the roof. Also had them re-side and replace the gutters, when my insurance company expanded the damage claim. Terrific results. Would HIGHLY recommend!

Jim and his crew assessed the project, put together a timeline which they adhered to and did a fantastic job. The roof at one of our site's in Richmond was in really bad shape and his team replaced it with a warranty approved new roof. I commend him and his team for doing an exceptional job. I will be using them again with the quickness if such a need arises.

This company saved me a lot of money. They worked with my insurance and all of my expenses were covered minus the deductible. Adriana worked with me every step of the way to ensure a smooth and timely process. I highly recommend United Roofing & Exteriors.

Stay away from this company, they are fast talking with very little fallow through. Estimate was completed in May 2019 and the work was not completed until the end of 2019. I had to repeatedly call them to find out what was going on and they never returned my calls. Lady that said she was the CFO of the company cursed me over the phone because I would release the final payment due to the project not being completed. They left scaffolding in yard for 3 months and killed my grass. Window screens weren't returned for 6 months and I had to hold check before they would bring them back. Stay away from this company they are storm chasing contractors that are hard to deal with during the process. Mo Guerrero was the salesman that always said he would check on status and I would have to call multiple times to get resolutions.

Stay away from this company at all cost.

I have used United Roofing for several properties and I got to give them 5 stars overall. Yielbert always provided excellent customer service. Recently my roof had a trim sloughed off by a strong wind and He sent his staff to fix it right away.

United Roofing did a great job replacing our roof. It was a pleasure to work with Rich Kim. He worked with our insurance company to make the process go smoothly.
