You'll notice more than half of the few google reviews are from 4-5 years ago. Since then, the business was handed to the third generation owner Nick and it is not the same business. We hired them for a bathroom remodel in summer of 2024 and had a very poor experience. They committed to completing the project in four weeks but it took them nearly 12 weeks to finally do so. The initial tile subcontractor they sent named Dave was in such a rush (while simultaneously being extremely slow) that he often cut corners and performed very shoddy work. He was also extremely aggressive and verbally abusive to my 8-month pregnant wife when she would inquire about progress or the way tile was (poorly) cut. This included swearing at her in front of my two young sons. It ended with him swearing at her and walking off the job midway. This further delayed the project as Nick and his team worked to find a different tile subcontractor. Nick was extremely difficult to reach during this time and barely even acknowledged or apologized for Dave's behavior, other than saying he was working on finding a replacement.

There were several days when no one would come and work on the bathroom. And most days when they were there, they worked 4 or 5 hours at most. Nick and his team had zero sense of urgency, even after the delays caused by Dave walking off midway.

The rest of the team was decent but the place is a revolving door of employees, especially as the legacy employees who worked under the previous generation of owners leave. So by the time you're researching your project, they'll probably be gone.

Ultimately, the project was finished but there are signs are amateur workmanship all over. Tiles everywhere that aren't flush or true, uneven gaps in grout and caulk, etc.

Definitely look elsewhere

This was my first time working with United Building Service Company and I had a fantastic experience. Nick's team was very supportive and helpful in the planning process as it wasn't an easy remodel (a wall/closet was coming out to expand the kitchen). During the build they were responsive and kept me in the loop on decisions both big and small. They removed a full closet that was a part of two load bearing walls and replaced it with an island, along with the rest of the kitchen. Their quality is top notch and I couldn't be happier with the way it turned out. They worked very fast and even wrapped up the job a few days early.

I will be using their company again in the future for my next project.
