Two Rivers Built

Two Rivers Built constructed a three-season sunroom addition on my home, and it was a true pleasure working with them. The superintendent assigned to my project, Gary Davis, was a joy. He was always pleasant and attuned to every detail of my construction project. And, he was always on top of communication with me, the customer.

This is not to say that there weren't a couple of wrinkles along the way. The roof work was not timely closed in before a bad storm and as a result I had ceiling water stains and a serious leak around the french doors leading into the bedroom. Hopefully there is no floor rot as a result. And I am also awaiting some minor finishes required by the James City County building inspector - securing a polymer lining on the ground underneath the sunroom and closing off the porch, stairway. But I assume in good faith that these details will be taken care of.

I highly recommend Two Rivers. They are a great contractor/construction company and I was impressed with all their subs as well!

Two Rivers Built was a pleasure to work with from start to finish. We had drywall put up in our basement and a closet created. They kept us updated regularly, meeting with us to walk through and discuss the progress and go over any changes we wanted. They were wonderful with ideas and helped us stay on budget but still get what we were looking for. We will be using them again soon to put in a bathroom. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to have work done on their home.

Reasonably priced, excellent work. Very happy with our attic room addition. Would hire them again for other projects. Highly recommend.

Two Rivers Built recently completed a large 24x12 feet custom Eze-breeze porch for our home and it is absolutely breathtaking! We also had them replace two exterior french doors and could not be happier with the results. We were having difficulty receiving quotes from other contractors in the area, so were thrilled when Rick met with us and assured us our needs would be met. Tyler and his team were responsive at all times and made sure any concerns we had were addressed and the results were spectacular! Additionally Jens and Krista were always available to answer our many questions and could not have been kinder or more professional. We will most definitely use Two Rivers again and refer them to friends as well!

We used 2 Rivers to built out our restaurant Dominion Dogs in the James-York Plaza shopping center. It was an older space, blank canvas. They provided everything to get the kitchen in, updated the bathroom to ADA standards, and installed new HVAC. Included electric, plumbing, and gas. Handled all the permits. Made sure everything was complete through our grand opening and beyond. Can't wait to work with them on future projects.

Two Rivers did a great job renovating our kitchen and den area. They were responsive, professional, and overall great to work with. We just moved to the area and knew we wanted to do some renovations but didn't know of any contractors to reach out too, met them once, saw some of their work and glad we went with them.

When we purchased our new home recently, we decided to get a few things done before moving in. After contemplating the various areas we needed to address, we decided to call on Tim of Two Rivers Built, who we’d met via our realtor.

Realizing that we’d be wanting to get moved in as soon as possible, he met with us quickly and got the ball rolling on extensive wallpaper removal, painting, re-doing or adding hardwood flooring and revamping a room to make it right for a home theater. That included custom cabinetry and other work.

He brought excellent ideas to the project, obtained materials promptly and managed the personnel needed for the job.

He shepherded the project along with an attention to detail. He also remained flexible and added additional customization when needed.

Tim maintained communication throughout the process, offered progress reports and listened any time we had a concern about a minute detail.

Above all for those seeking a contractor, Tim did everything he said he would do and made the process stress-free for us. We highly recommend him as a contractor who can manage and bring a project to completion in expert fashion.

The folks at Two Rivers Built have been absolutely amazing. They communicated when they were going to be at the house, they were professional and courteous, and the work looks better than I imagined.

Two Rivers took down our old deck and built a screened porch for us. We love the finished product. They did a great job keeping us in the loop on the project and were very accommodating with little changes we thought of along the way. We really appreciated how kind and helpful every crew member was.

We had a large bedroom converted into two smaller bedrooms and are thrilled with the results. Everyone that came by the house was incredibly nice and respectful. The job was scheduled quickly and the completed within two weeks. We will definitely be using this company for all our future projects.

Tim and his team replaced a set of French doors in our living room with a nice sliding door with a screen! The French doors were old, wood rotted and the doors opened in which wasted space. Now we have a nice new sliding door with a screen. We can’t wait for cooler weather!

Tim kept us in the loop on product lead times and worked with our busy schedule to get installation done.
