Darrin Tree Service did a great job removing some really large pine and oak trees from our yard. They showed up early and worked fast and efficiently so we got the most bang for our buck :) highly recommend!

Brent and the entire crew have done excellent work on a number of visits to do both tree removal and major trimming. They leave the area as clean as they find it. You get what you pay for , excellent work, great price, and super employees.

My neighbor had an issue with a tree and limbs that overhang their property. They contacted Darrin Tree Service, and they consulted with us, and we agreed for the work that was to be completed.

Darrin Tree service showed up on time, and were complete professionals. They took down part of my fence, completed the work on my side, and left it CLEAN on my side. I asked since they had the saws and the woodchipper if they'd handle one scrub tree near the fence line on my side and they just kinda winked, and all of the sudden it was GONE.

These guys get tree service, and they make sure any property they touch is left better than they found it.

Darrin Tree Service was recommended to me from a post in a FB group. He took down a magnolia tree, and prunes and shaped my 100 year old silver maple tree. He was very knowledgeable about the maple tree and what it needs to stay healthy. Very quick removal of the magnolia. Price was very reasonable. We had Brent remove a 40-50 foot dead Sweetgum tree that was too close to our house. It took his team a couple of hours to dismantle and remove the without any damage to our lawn. Brent gave us a reasonable price and a quick removal. We will definitely be using him again.

Brent Darrin and his team are incredible. They’re polite, fair-priced, and are excellent at what they do. I can’t recommend them highly enough. They removed several trees and brush from our property in an upscale neighborhood with strict HOA requirements, and they did a phenomenal job.

If you need tree removal, brush cleanup, or stump grinding in the Williamsburg or Hampton Roads area, do yourself a favor and use them!

Could not recommend Darrin Tree Service enough! We had noticed that a large portion of our river birch was not producing leaves or showing signs of life. Brent came over and identified the issue right away and was able to remove the infected part of our tree. He got the job done in a timely manner and cleaned up and hauled away all of the debris. Brent is very knowledgeable in his craft, I would highly recommend!

They were slow and ineffective. They turned a 3 day job into 10 days. At one point the owner became threatening and the guy with the whiny voice was rude. We are the tenants and hopefully our landlord will use someone else next time. They put the cable wire back incorrectly (we had to call Cox) and they have refused to clean up the mess that they made.

We hired Darrin Tree Service to remove 3 large pine trees, grind the stumps and trim some branches at our rental house. He communicated clearly up front what the process would be, how long it would take barring any weather delays and he was very professional. Unfortunately he had to deal with our disgruntled tenants harassing him and us during the entire process. Since our tenants learned we are not renewing their lease, they have gone to extreme lengths to threaten and harass anyone involved. They were extremely threatening to both us and Mr. Darrin during the entire process, and they took purposeful action to halt Mr. Darrin’s progress on more than one occasion. Mr. Darrin handled the situation very professionally and with everyone’s safety in mind. I would recommend not taking reviews from disgruntled tenants seriously. We are the owners of the property and agree with the other positive reviews. Would hire Mr. Darrin again.

It is hard nowadays to find amazing quality in work, but I have found the diamond in the rough with Darren Tree Service. Darren Tree Service was my saving grace when I was in need, with a pregnant wife out of town and a 3 and 1 year old at home.

Back story: our cat went missing 5 days ago. Late at night on day 4 I finally find her up a tree and there was nothing I could do to get her down.

On day 5 early morning I called animal control and they said she would just come down on her own eventually. They also said that I would probably not be able to find a tree service company that would be willing to help. Darrin Tree Service was employed by our next door neighbor to remove a large silver maple in their backyard. The next door neighbor has a large Magnolia with limbs that nearly touch my roof. I obtained permission to have these limbs trimmed and asked Darrin Tree Service perform the work. We agreed on a very reasonable price since they were already on the job and the personnel of Darrin Tree Service performed a perfect job trimming the Magnolia. They also removed all debris leaving the front yard spotless.

Darrin Tree Service exceeded expectations with their professional service. They cut/removed a number of dead trees from my property, cleared away fallen trees and debris and pruned low branches on remaining trees. The team was prompt, efficient and very courteous. I highly recommend them and if I ever have more work needed, I will certainly give them a call.

A 70 foot long branch broke off my 300 year old oak tree . It crushed one of my neighbors cars and smashed the hood of their second car . Brent was here 2 days later (covered by neighbors insurance) and chopped it all up in about 4 hours . The branch was the size of a normal tree about 30 inches across at the base . Very fast he , was amazing ! He came back 2 days later loaded and hauled it all away in about 2 hours . I highly recommend!!!

When my cat was stuck in a tree, Darin came over to help get her out--he was incredibly quick in getting here, and zipped right up without damaging the tree and saved our pet's life. He went well beyond expectations--and spent a great deal of time trying to help us out. We did not know him before, but I will tell you he is a wonderful guy and I would not hesitate to call him for any work. He is honest, helpful, straightforward and stayed to get things done. He listened to the service that I needed and quickly set up an appointment to come out and give an estimate. He was on time, professional, and was actually out the very next day after giving the estimate to take care of business. They did a fantastic job on my Leyland Cypress trees! They look great! They were respectful not only to my property but my neighbor’s property as well.

Other than seeing the trees trimmed, I could even tell they were there! They cleaned up all the debris and took it all with them. The price was very reasonable for the work. I would absolutely reach out to them again and would highly recommend to anyone!

I can honestly say this is a very honest, fair and responsible, and professional service. The owner, gave a fair price for the removal of two various size trees, removals as well as grinding.
The month of February was a very wet one in Virginia, at least where the site in question is located.
Mr. Darrin and his entire crew were very knowledgeable, on time, professional, cleaned up. The procedure actually was done sooner than anticipated (Kudo’s to this teams work), the yard looked better than when they started. Thank you very much gentleman for your service. I had a huge white oak tree that was decayed and needed to come down. The team did a great job in the removal of this giant tree, and cleaned up the area where they were working.
